Pauley-Hudson, Jordan Wednesday, 03 Dec 2003
Jordan James Pauley-Hudson, infant two hours old, died on Dec. 3, 2003, at Silverdale-Harrison Hospital.
He was born to Michael Ray Pauley and Heather L. Hudson.
He is survived by his parents; brothers Brandon Hudson, Jacob Schraw and Michael Ray Pauley, Jr. all of Bremerton; great-aunt Kathy Brown of Olalla; grandparents Michael Hudson and Michaeleene Hudson of Bremerton; great grandfather Harvey Hudson of Bremerton; and great grandmothers Genevieve Day of Camano Island and Irene Pauley of Port Orchard.

Hoyte, Thane Tuesday, 02 Dec 2003
Thane Scott Hoyte, 39, a resident of Southworth, died Dec. 2, 2003.
He was born on Sept. 18, 1964, at Fort Belvoir, Va., to Barry and Sandra (Wallace) Hoyte.
He married
Delia (Oritz) Hoyte on June 27, 1998, in South Colby.
She preceded him in death in 2002.
He graduated from South Kitsap High School in 1982. He worked as a marine machinery mechanic at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard since 1981.
He was a member of the Kitsap Dive Team, enjoyed playing baseball, football and soccer, was an avid bowler, was involved with the Boy Scouts.
He was also an artist and photographer.
He volunteered at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center and fought cancer for 35 years.
He is survived by his parents Barry and Sandra Hoyte of Manchester; brothers Seth Hoyte and his wife Michelle of Tuscon, Ariz. and Thor Hoyte and his wife Amy of Tacoma; grandmothers Ruth C. Duggleby of Oneonta, NY and Phyllis Wallace of Cadiz, Ohio; and various aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visitation will be held at Rill Chapel on Sunday, Dec. 7, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral will be at Rill Chapel on Monday, Dec. 8, at 1 p.m. Interment will be at Fraola cemetery.
Arrangements were handled by Rill Chapel’s Life Tribute Center.

Mielnicki, Dominic Tuesday, 02 Dec 2003
Dominic A. Mielnicki, 82, a resident of Retsil, died Dec. 2, 2003, at the Washington Veterans Home.
He was born on Aug. 4, 1921, in Chicago, Ill., to Kasper and Sophia (Pogorzelski) Mielnicki.
He served in the Navy during World War II as a Seaman First Class.
He was a Catholic and a member of Knights of Columbus.
He is survived by his sons-in-law Douglas S. Hadley of Redmond and Kevin M. Zahnle of Franktown, Colo.; daughters Gloria Hadley of Redmond, Donna Mielnicki of Englewood, Colo., and Marianne Zahnle of Franktown, Colo.; brothers John Mielnicki and Joseph Mielnicki both of Chicago; sisters Therese Mielnicki of Chicago, Jean Koziol of Lock Port, Ill., and Ann Freidman of Chicago; and granddaughter Sarah Hadley.
Visitation and funeral were held at the Washington Veterans Home on Friday, Dec. 5.
Interment was at the Retsil cemetery. Arrangements were handled by Rill Chapel’s Life Tribute Center.

Lamey, John Tuesday, 02 Dec 2003
Rev. John F. Lamey, 81, a resident of Port Orchard, died Dec. 2, 2003 at Port Orchard Care Center.
He was born on Jan. 22, 1922, in Portland. Ore., to John and Eleanor (Huffman) Lamey. He married
Patricia A. (Whitfield) Lamey on May 24, 1945, in Evanston, Ill.
He graduated from Evanston Township High School in Evanston, Ill. in 1940 and attended Northwestern University also in Evanston.
He served in the U.S. Navy from 1943 to 1946 during World War II as an ensign. He served on the USS Toconic with the Atlantic fleet.
He was a salesman for Mc-Kinney Hardware in the midwest for 25 years. He was a minister with the United Church of Religious Science for 20 years.
He retired in 1991.
He is survived by his wife Patricia Lamey of Port Orchard; sons Greg and wife Mary Lamey of Mukilteo and Malcolm Lamey of Silverdale; daughters Anne and husband Merlyn Lehmkuhl of Port Orchard; and grandchildren Jim Redfield, Chris Redfield, Ryan Lamey, Alexa Lamey, Sara Lamey and Andrea Lamey.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, Dec. 14, 2003 at 2 p.m. at the United Church of Religious Science in Tacoma. Inurnment at Sunset Lane Memorial Park.
Skelton, Margaret Monday, 01 Dec 2003
Margaret E. Skelton, 82, a Poulsbo resident, died Dec. 1, 2003, at Martha and Mary Health Services.
She was born on Oct. 21, 1921, in Tacoma to Leroy and Margaret (Williams) Oliver.
She graduated from Lincoln High School in Tacoma in 1939 and attended Pacific Lutheran College.
She loved to snow ski, enjoyed boating and was a lifetime member of the Viking Yacht Club in Tacoma.
She is survived by her son Richard Butsch and his fiance Jan McCracken of Port Orchard; daughter Karen Ford and her husband Jack of Poulsbo; brothers Robert Oliver of Bellevue and Darrell Dale Morgan of Mount Lake Terrace; and grandchildren Kara Butsch and Linsey Emmons.
She was preceded in death by her brothers Richard Oliver and Bill E. Morgan.
Arrangements were made by Rill Chapel’s Life Tribute Center.

Murnane, Eugene Sunday, 30 Nov 2003
Eugene Joseph Murnane, 76, a resident of Port Orchard, died Nov. 30, 2003. He was born in County Cork, Ireland.
He was a retired sheet metal mechanic of 40 years at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and a Korean War Army veteran.
He was an avid gardener and a member of St. Nicholas and St. Gabriel Catholic Churches.
He is survived by his wife Maureen Murnane; son Michael Murnane; daughters Maureen Nixon, Noreen Plum, Deirdre Crebs and Kathy Simpson; and 12 grandchildren, all of Kitsap County.
Funeral services will beheld at St. Nicholas Catholic Church on Dec. 10 at 11 a.m.
A Rosary will be said on Dec. 9 at 7 p.m. at Haven of Rest. Interment at Haven of Rest cemetery, Gig Harbor.
Remembrances may be made to St. Nicholas Catholic School.

Beanland, Ruth Sunday, 30 Nov 2003
Ruth (Vernon) Beanland, 81, a resident of Harlingen, Texas, died Nov. 30 in Port Orchard.
She was born Sept. 27, 1922, in Eldon, Mo., to Fred and Mary Lee (Hayes) Vernon.
She married
Henry Leroy Beanland on Jan. 30, 1940, in Tipton, Mo. He preceded her in death in 1976.
She was a homemaker and enjoyed square dancing, gardening, traveling in her RV, collecting antique bottles and making things for others. She belonged to Loner on Wheels and was a member of Ninth Street Christian Church.
She is survived by her daughter Dianna F. McCauley of Houston, Texas; her sons Dennis T. Beanland of Ridgedale, Mo. and Gary W. Beanland of Port Orchard; her sisters Genevieve Weaver of Fort Smith, Ark. and Jean McIntyre of Tulsa, Okla.; also her brothers Wesley Vernon of Eldon, Mo. and Andrew Vernon of Versailles, Mo.
She was preceded in death by her sons Edward Beanland and David Beanland.
Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Phillips Funeral Home in Eldon, Mo.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow at the same location.

Sullivan, Joseph Thursday, 01 Apr 2004
Joseph E. Sullivan, 64, of Tacoma died April 1, 2004.
He was born on Nov. 16, 1939, in Socorro, N.M., to Harry and Lucille (Anaya) Sullivan.
He graduated from South Kitsap High School in 1958.
He retired from the National Guard after 31 years and from the YMCA after eight years.
He was commodore of Tacoma Outboard Association in 1992 and president of Northwestern Boating Council in 1996, a member of CCBOI, the Elks and Eagles.
He loved boating, fishing, camping, traveling, and games of chance.
He is survived by his wife Margie; son Chuck and wife Marianna; daughters Terrie and Cindy her husband Ron; grandchildren Jessie, Kaylee, jamie, Kohl and Carson; mother Lucille, sister Louella and husband Bob Houston and extended family.
He was preceded in death by his father Harry and sister Ada Price.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, April 10, 2004, at 5 p.m. at Tacoma Outboard Association, 646 Wilton, Tacoma.

Konnor Lucas Dennison-Hembd, infant
Konnor Lucas Dennison-Hembd, three months, five days, a resident of Port Orchard, died April 1, 2004.
He was born in Silverdale on Dec. 26, 2003, to Lawrence Hembd and Wendi Dennison.
He is survived by his parents; brothers Walter and Liam; grandparents Leonard and Mary Hembd of Port Orchard, Leland Wendall Dennison of Columbus, Ga., and Virginia M. Dennison-Fowler of Port Orchard.
He was preceded in death by his aunt Charla K. Dennison and great-grandmother Ruth M. Funk.
A memorial service was held on Wednesday, April 7, 2004, at Rill Chapel’s Life Tribute Center. Inurnment was at Sunset Lane Memorial Park.
Arrangements were under the direction of Rill Chapel’s Life Tribute Center.
