Elmer Kenneth Bell of Port Orchard died on May 23, 2007.
He was 83.
He was born March 27, 1924, in Braddock, Pa., to Elmer W. and Helen (Frost) Bell.
He married
Maxine (McKinley) Bell March 14, 1970, in Poulsbo.
He attended high school in East Pittsburgh, Pa., and left before graduating to join the Navy in August 1941.
He retired from the Navy in 1966 as 1st Class Petty Officer and retired from Shop 17, Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, in Bremerton in March 1989.
He is survived by his wife, Maxine: sons Dale K. Bell of New Jersey and David A. Bell, Brian T. Bell and John W. Bell; daughters Donna L. Harper and Linda (and husband Richard) Tullius, all of Pennsylvania; and brother Walter W. Bell of Pennsylvania.
He was preceded in death by sister Dorothy Cohen.
At his request, there will be no funeral services.
Private arrangements have been made for his remains to be placed in Tahoma National cemetery.

Fritz, Eva Monday, 30 Dec 2002
Eva Tune Fritz, 91, a resident of Port Orchard, died Dec. 30, 2002 at Ridge-mont Terrace.
She was born on Oct. 4, 1911, in Rising Star, Tex, to Thomas and Beaulha (Dam-eron) Tune.
She married
Calvin Fritz on Aug. 23, 1931 in Carlsbad, N.M. He preceded her in death in 1984.
She graduated from O’Donnell High School in O’Donnell, Tex., and was a homemaker.
She enjoyed gardening and painting and was a member of the Port Orchard Church of Christ.
She is survived by her son Donald W. Fritz, Sr., and his wife Rochelle of Port Orchard; her brother Bill Tune of Big Spring, Tex.; and three grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her brothers Dick, Earl and Burl Tune.
A funeral was held on Jan. 6, 2003 at Rill Chapel followed by interment at Sunset Lane cemetery. Arrangements were handled by Pendleton-Gilchrist Funeral Home at Rill Chapel.

Kinnaman, O.E. Sunday, 29 Dec 2002
O.E. Kinnaman, 94, a resident of Port Orchard, died Dec. 29, 2002. He was born on May 23, 1908, in Colorado Springs, Colo., to Melvin and Florence (Morrow) Kinnaman.
He married
Amelia (Weber) Kinnaman in Gree-ley, Colo. on Feb. 26, 1934. She preceded him in death in 1981.
He worked on the railroad in Wyoming until 1941 and was a welder at PSNS.
He retired in 1968.
He was a member of the C.B. Radio Club called “Rebel Radio, ” he enjoyed motorcycles and received a trophy for being the oldest motorcycle rider. He was an avid guitar and stringed-instrument player.
He was a past member of the Masons.
He is survived by his daughters Barbara Mull of Everett and Thelma Morris of Keizer, Ore.; and seven grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
A funeral service was held on Jan. 3, 2003, at Rill Chapel followed by interment at Sunset Lane cemetery. Arrangements were handled by Pendle-ton-Gilchrist at Rill Chapel.

Murphy, Wilhelmina Saturday, 28 Dec 2002
Wilhelmina L. Murphy, 89, a resident of Port Orchard, died Dec. 28, 2002 at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. She was born on March 31, 1913 in Payette, Idaho.
She married
Leonard R. Murphy on May 18, 1946 in Port Orchard. He preceded her in death in 1991.
She was a homemaker. She was involved with the Ladies Guild at Bethany Lutheran Church in Port Orchard, where she was also a member.
She is survived by her sons Dennis Murphy and Robert Murphy, both of Port Orchard; daughters Kathleen Wilson of Edgewood, Patricia M. Quy of Tacoma, Barbara Backstrom of Port Orchard and Helen Rohrbach of South Dakota; and 23 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Dorothy Aldridge.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, Dec. 31, at Bethany Lutheran Church followed by interment at Forest Lawn cemetery.
Arrangements were handled by Pendleton-Gilchrist at Rill Chapel.

Wyman, Eugene Friday, 27 Dec 2002
Eugene I. Wyman, 78, a former resident of Gig Harbor and Tacoma, died Dec. 27, 2002 at the Washington Veterans Home in Retsil.
He was born on Jan. 22, 1924 in Uva, Wyo. to Eugene Wyman and Ruth Mills.
He received his high school diploma during a 2002 Vet-erans Day ceremony be-cause he left high school early to serve during World War II.
He served in the Army from 1943 to 1946.
He owned Kay/Way Grocery in Tacoma for 26 years and Larry & Ray’s Tavern, also in Tacoma, for 15 years.
He loved gardening and was involved with Tacoma Outboard Association.
He is survived by his sons Randy Wyman of Montana and Greg Wyman of Port Orchard; his daughter Gina Wyman of Puyallup; sister Edith Headding of Arizona; and six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his brothers Chuck and Fred Wyman.
A memorial service was held at the Veteran’s Home Chapel in Retsil on Jan. 1, 2003.
Arrangements were handled by Pendleton-Gilchrist at Rill Chapel and Kitsap Cremation and Burial Society.
Standaert, Antoinette Thursday, 26 Dec 2002
Antoinette “Toni” Standaert, 63, a resident of Port Orchard, died Dec. 26, 2002 at Ridgemont Terrace.
She was born on Feb. 27, 1939 in Wisconsin to Anton and Elizabeth (Golf) Shoemaker.
She was employed by the Union Bank of California and retired in 1998.
She is survived by her sons Steve Standaert of Olalla and Richard Standaert of St. Petersburg, Fla., and one brother and four sisters.

Cederlund, John Tuesday, 24 Dec 2002
John Cederlund, 80, a resident of Port Orchard, died Dec. 24, 2002, at St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Tacoma.
He was born on Oct. 29, 1922, in San Francisco to John A. and Agnus (Sjodin) Cederlund.
He graduated from high school in Salt Lake City, Utah, and from college in San Fran-cisco. He served in the Naval ROTC/OCS for four years and achieved the rank of Lieutenant. After the war, he was captain of the oil survey ship “Telisis” from 1955 to 1963.
He was an electronics engineer at PSNS for 20 years.
He retired in 1985.
He was Power Squadron (commander for one year), instructor for 30 years, a member of Kitsap Aviation-Flying Club, and helped his wife in an antique business.
He is survived by his wife Mary K. (Tratnick) Cederlund; sons Daniel Cederlund of Tacoma, Donald Cederlund of Polson, Mont, . and son-in-law Rik Jones; daughters Donna Cederlund/Jones of Scotts Valley, Calf. and daughters-in-law Toni and Laura; sister Margret Ceder-lund of Salt Lake City, Utah; and nine grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his son John D. Cederlund and brother Ted Cederlund.
A memorial service was held Monday Dec. 30, 2002, at Rill Chapel and inurnment at Sunset Lane cemetery.
Arrangements were handled by Pendleton-Gilchrist at Rill Chapel.

Hoyte, Delia Monday, 23 Dec 2002
Delia Ortiz Hoyte, 34, a resident of Southworth, died Dec. 23, 2002, in Benson, Ariz.
She was born in Big Spring, Texas on Nov. 12, 1968 to Jesus and Guadalupe (Garcia) Ortiz.
She married
Thane Hoyte in South Colby on June 27, 1998.
She graduated from Big Spring High School in 1986 and attended Howard Coun-ty Junior Col-lege in Big Spring, Texas and Olympic College in Bremerton.
She taught Spanish as a foreign language for youth at Cougar Valley Elementary in North Kitsap County and Brownsville Elemen-tary in Brownsvlle.
She was a member of Hispanic Women for Progress in Big Spring, was a Girl Scout Leader and was a girls fastpitch softball coach with UGSA league in Big Spring.
She was a member of St. Gabriel Catholic Church in Port Orchard.
She is survived by her husband Thane Hoyte; her parents Jesus and Guadalupe Ortiz; daughter Dianna Barraza of Southworth; and her sister Dianna Valdez of Big Spring, Texas.
A mass will be held Saturday, Jan. 18, 2003, at 11 a.m. at St. Gabriel Catholic Church in Port Orchard.
Interment will be at Fraola cemetery. Arrangements were handled by Pendleton-Gilchrist Funeral Home at Rill Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Delia Hoyte Benevolent Fund at any Washing-ton Mutual Branch.
