Brandi J. Marquette, of Port Orchard, was died on Nov. 11, 2006, as a result of a traffic accident. She was 10.
She was born on Dec. 28, 1995, in Renton, to Blake and Sally (Yandell) Marquette.
She was a fifth-grade student at Orchard Heights Elementary School.
She played basketball and enjoyed drawing and singing.
She is survived by parents Blake and Sally Marquette of Port Orchard; brother James Marquette; sister Amber West; and paternal grandmother Norma Hicks of Puyallup.
A memorial service is scheduled for 1 p.m. on Nov. 18, at the Port Orchard Church of the Nazarene. followed by burial at Fraola cemetery in Olalla.

Buck, Vernon Sunday, 12 Nov 2006
Vernon Duane Buck, of Port Orchard, died on Nov. 12, 2006, at Harrison Medical Center in Bremerton. He was 46.
He was born on June 8, 1960, in San Diego, Calif., to Manuel and Darlene Buck.
He worked at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard.
He was a member of the Gorst Community Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon for the past six years.
He was a caller for Peninsula Square Dance.
He is survived by wife Debora L. Buck, of Port Orchard; daughters Chere and Sabrina; sisters Kimberly Levy of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Robin Thomas of Bremerton; and one grandchild.
He was preceded in death by brothers George and Timothy Buck.
A funeral service is scheduled for 1 p.m. on Nov. 18 at Gorst Community Baptist Church.

Peter Paul Belas, of Port Orchard, died on Oct. 31, 2006, at home.
He was 63.
He was born on June 11, 1943, in England, to Peter (Davies) and Gwendoline Belas.
He graduated from high school and attended two years of community college.
He worked as recreation director at the Frances Haddon Morgan Center in Bremerton.
He is survived by step-daughter Amy (and husband Eric) Janson of Gig Harbor.
He was preceded in death by step-son Lee Belas.
A memorial service was held on Oct. 9 at the Frances Haddon Morgan Center in Bremerton.

Sederberg, Roy Friday, 03 Nov 2006
Roy Sederberg, of Port Orchard, died in Nov. 3, 2006, at home.
He was 89.
He was born on June 28, 1917, in Kiron, Iowa.
He married
Inge Schmitz in Port Orchard in 1961.
He attended Kiron (Iowa) High School and worked as a shipfitter at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard for 25 years.
He was a member of the Port Orchard Church of the Nazarene.
He is survived by step-son Norman Hodge of Fife and one grandchild and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife Inge Sederberg in 2004 and brothers Lowell, Marvin and Russell Sederberg.
A funeral service is scheduled for 2 p.m. on Nov. 11 at the Port Orchard Church of the Nazarene, followed by burial at Sunset Lane cemetery.

Trautmann, Shirley Thursday, 26 Oct 2006
Shirley Hanson Trautmann died on Oct. 26, 2006. She was 76.
She was born in Hoquiam on Dec. 8, 1929, to Henry O. and Lillian (Sandberg) Hanson.
She was raised in Port Orchard and graduated from South Kitsap High School in 1947. She graduated from Western Washington State College in 1962.
She married
Roderick J. Trautmann on March 7, 1951.
She taught French, German and Russian at Evergreen High School for 30 years until her retirement in 1988.
She lived in the Burien area until 1996, then moved to Hood Canal to be closer with her family.
She is survived by son Dale Trautmann of Belfair; daughters Nancy Orsborn of Verlot and Margaret Pugh of Belfair; brother Henry Hanson of Snohomish County; sister Nancy Carney of Port Orchard; and four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by husband Roderick Trautmann and sisters Jeanesse Shepherd and Joan Moore.
There will be a private family service.

John R. “Dick" Smith, of Port Orchard, died on Nov. 5, 2006, at home.
He was 70.
He was born on Sept. 16, 1936, in Panama City, Fla., to John C. and Blanca Rosa (DePoy) Smith.
He married
Katherine Duerr on Dec. 30, 1976, in Port Orchard.
He attended Balboa High School in Panama City, Fla., and graduated from Olympic College in 1975.
He served in the U.S. Army and worked as a missile inspector for 15 years for Lockheed at Subase Bangor before retiring in 1999.
He was a member of the Port Orchard Eagles.
He enjoyed sports, computers and photography.
He was survived by wife Katherine Smith of Port Orchard; sons Keith Smith of New York, Lawrence (and wife Christine) Smith of Dublin, Calif., and Jacob (and wife Jessica) Smith of Olympia; daughter Deborah Jean Smith of Port Orchard; brother Frankie Smith of Tallahasee, Fla.; sister Marybell Smith of Florida; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by daughter Linda Smith.
A memorial service is scheduled for 1 p.m. on Nov. 12 at Rill Life Tribute Center in Port Orchard.
Luzik, Timothy Saturday, 04 Nov 2006
Timothy James Luzik, of Port Orchard, died on Nov. 4, 2006, in a car accident. He was 21.
He was born on Aug. 23, 1985, in Bremerton.
He attended Ferndale High School and worked at Palmer Marine in Bremerton as a boat fabricator.
He enjoyed snow skiing, basketball, NASCAR and fishing.
He is survived by father Brad Luzik and step-mother Marcie Luzik of Port Orchard; mother Cathy McCarty and step-father Terry White of Ferndale; brother Christopher Luzik of Bremerton; paternal grandparents George and Ruth Luzik of Bremerton and Tim and Coral McCarty of Port Orchard; and maternal grandparents Mary Ann and John Adamski of Arizona and Don and Helen Francoeur of Bremerton.
Laliberte, Carolyn Sunday, 05 Nov 2006
Carolyn Jo Laliberte, of Port Orchard, died on Nov. 5, 2006, in Port Orchard. She was 64.
She was born on Nov. 2, 1942, in Los Angeles, to John and Marie (Davis) Gregory.
She graduated from Arroyo High School in El Monte, Calif., in 1961.
She was a homemaker and taught pre-school at various private schools in California.
She is survived by Jennifer (and husband Mark) Richardson of Port Orchard; brothers Jim (and wife Bernice) Gregory and John (and wife Kathryn) Gregory of California; sister Marie (and husband Bill) Rennison of Lake Tahoe, Calif.; and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by sister Martha Perez and son Eric Laliberte.
Services will be private.
Coburn, Dillon Saturday, 16 Jun 2007
Dillon (Don) B. Coburn, of Longbranch, died on June 16, 2007. He was 85.
He was born March 5, 1922, and grew up in Minnesota and graduated from high school in 1940.
He married
Coline Gillis on April 5, 1944.
After trade school, he moved to Oregon and was drafted into the Army Air Corps in 1943 and served in World War II in the 351st Bomb Group, based in England, and flew 35 missions over Europe as a B-17 top turret gunner and flight engineer, earning the Distinguished Flying Cross.
After discharge in 1945, he worked at Boeing and later Lockheed Shipbuilding in Seattle.
He later worked as a shipfitter at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in Bremerton until his retirement in 1982.
He enjoyed traveling with his wife and spent many winters in Arizona.
He is survived by his son Dean (and Linda) Coburn of Longbranch; daughters Kathy (and husband Wes) Marson of Marysville, Barb Coburn of Chelan, Peggy (and husband Mark) Ingraham of Purdy, Terry Ingraham of Tennessee, and Pam (and husband Budd) Murray of Longbranch, WA; and 15 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death last July by his wife Coline and by all five of his siblings.
A celebration of life service will be held at 2 p.m.on June 23 the Longbranch Community Church.
