Fuller, Bruce Saturday, 11 Mar 2006
Bruce Beck Fuller, of Port Orchard, died on March 11, 2006, at home. He was 73.
He was born on Nov. 19, 1932, in Geneva, N.Y., to Stanford and Killian Fuller.
He married
Marilyn Bystrom in Port Orchard in 1962.
He graduated from Mount Iron (Minn.) High School in 1950, attended the Western Washington College of Education and graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1959 with a degree in chemistry.
He served in the U.S. Navy from 1952 to 1956 as a pilot, flight commander and legal officer.
He spent 32 years in civilian life as a pilot for Pan Am and United Airlines. He also worked at Parke-Davis Pharmaceuticals for several years, was a student teacher, co-owned and operated a fabric store with his wife and served in the Naval Reserves.
He attended the Key Peninsula Lutheran Church and was active with the Bremerton Elks Club.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Fuller, of Port Orchard; daughter Gretchen Fuller, of Ballard; and daughter Faith (and husband Mel) Wick, of Columbus, Ohio.
A memorial service is scheduled for 1 p.m. on March 19 at Key Peninsula Lutheran Church.

Ulrigg, Charles Tuesday, 07 Mar 2006
Charles Willard Ulrigg, of Port Orchard, died on March 7, 2006, in Bremerton.
He was 74.
He was born on Nov. 8. 1931, in Missoula, Mont., to Vern and Opal (Adams) Ulrigg.
He married
Inge Narath on July 31, 1976, in Missoula, Mont.
He served in the U.S. Navy from 1950 to 1954, achieving the rank of E-5.
He then spent 40 years as a production comptroller at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard before retiring in 1996.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and dogs.
He is survived by his wife, Inge Ulrigg, of Port Orchard; sons Bruce (and wife Bobbi) Ulrigg of Belfair, Chuck (and wife Jane) Ulrigg, of Port Orchard, Ron (and wife Mary) Ulrigg of Richland, Mo., John (and wife Debi) Ulrigg of Port Orchard, Robert (and wife Pam) Ulrigg of exas; daughter Bonnie (and wife Lonnie) Keplar, of Vancouver, Wash.; brothers John, Morey and Howard Ulrigg, all of Montana; and 20 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Mae.
At his request, there are no services planned.
Bryant, William Wednesday, 08 Mar 2006
William C. Bryant, of Belfair, died on March 8, 2006, at Life Care Center in Port Orchard.
He was 75.
He was born on March 10, 1930, in Forrest, Ill., to Lester and Ethel (Ward) Bryant.
He married
Wilma Jannie Lou Emerson on April 4, 1952.
He served in the U.S. Navy from 1948 to 1950, the worked as a general contractor until 2004.
He is survived by wife Wilma Bryant of Belfair; sons Billy (and wife Judy) Bryant, and Shawn Bryant; daughter Renay Bellavance of Port Orchard and four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
A funeral service is scheduled for 2 p.m. on March 15 at Rill Life Tribute Center in Port Orchard, followed by burial at Tahoma National cemetery in Kent.
Risher, Robert Sunday, 05 Mar 2006
Robert Risher, 76, electrical engineer
Robert Risher, a Port Orchard resident, died on March 5, 2006.
He was 76.
He was born on Feb. 1, 1930, in Terre Haute, Ind., to Harold and Irene Risher.
He graduated from Garfield High School in Terre Haute, then attended the Rose Hulman Institute of Technology before being drafted into the U.S. Army in 1951.
He served two tours during the Korean War, winning two Bronze Stars and a United Nations Service medal before retiring as a sergeant.
He married
Margot Molter in Terre Haute on June 9, 1953, after his first war tour.
He worked as an electrical engineer for 27 years at Vitro Corp., retiring in 1985. There he worked on several projects, including Polaris and the Trident Submarine Weapon Systems.
He is survived by his sons, Ronald (Yun) and Trevor (Linda) of Port Orchard, and two grandsons, Alexander and Mackenzie.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Margot, and his brother, William.
A public memorial service will be held Sunday, March 19, at the American Legion Hall at 2 p.m.

Fegarido, Librada Thursday, 02 Mar 2006
Librada Alano Fegarido of Olalla died March 2, 2006, in Seattle.
She was 81.
She was born Jan. 18, 1925, in Alfonso, Cavite, in the Philippines, to Ireneo and Petra Alano.
She graduated from Alfonso High School in 1943. She married
Guillermo Fegarido in February, 1945, in Quezon City, the Philippines.
She was a homemaker.
She is survived by daughters Linda (Wolfgang) Petikan of Germany; Ampano (Carlos) David of England; Agnes (Manolo) Hayag of Germany; Prescila (Ronald) Werner of Olalla, and Elizabeth (Axel) Wolff of Germany; 13 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; two brothers and four sisters.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Guillermo, and one daughter, Lina Bayona.
A service was held at St. Gabriel’s Church in Port Orchard on March 6. She will be buried on March 19 in Manila Memorial Park in the Philippines.
Bell, Cyde Sunday, 05 Mar 2006
Clyde Bell, Jr., a Port Orchard resident, died March 5, 2006, at home. He was 71.
He was born March 9, 1934, in Watonga, Okla., to Ocie and Clyde Bell.
He served in the U.S. Navy for 33 years, achieving the rank of E-9 master chief. He retired in 1987.
He married
Michiko Shibata in Toyko, Japan, on Feb. 27, 1968.
After retiring from the Navy, he worked for 10 years a civil servant for the Military Sealift Command in Yokohama, Japan.
He is survived by his wife, Michiko, of Port Orchard; sister Grace Eaton of Oklahoma; sons David (Melinda) of Port Orchard, Rodney (Nancy) of Texas, and Dale of Oklahoma; daughter Lacisa (Dan) Seacrist of Bremerton, and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ocie and Clyde Bell, sisters Dorothy, Flora and Ferba, and his beloved dog, Cha-cha.
A graveside service was held Thursday, March 9, at Tahoma National cemetery, where he was inurned. Memorial donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.
Scott, Ferne Friday, 17 Nov 2006
Ferne Gladys Scott, of Port Orchard, died on Nov. 12, 2006, at home. She was 79.
She was born on July 26, 1927, in Graton, Calif., to Eden and Martha (Marshall) Stine.
She married
William Scott on Nov. 15, 1946, in Port Orchard.
She graduated from South Kitsap High School in 1946 and was a homemaker.
She was a member of the Port Orchard Church of Christ and was active in its ministries.
She collected dolls and thimbles and enjoyed raising orchids and African violets.
She is survived by son Kevin Scott of California; daughters Kathi (and husband Bill) Shaner of Abilene, Texas, and Karen (and husband Jeff) Shewmaker of Portland, Ore.; sister Patricia McBeth of Graton, Calif.; and seven grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by husband William Scott earlier this year.
A memorial service is scheduled for 1 p.m. on Nov. 18 at the Port Orchard Church of Christ.
McCarty, Janice Tuesday, 14 Nov 2006
Janice L. McCarty, of Port Orchard, died on Nov. 14, 2006, at Life Care Center of Port Orchard.
She was 71.
She was born on July 10, 1935, in Everett to Chester and Laurel (Bailey) Day.
She married
Quinten McCarty on Jan. 7, 1977, in Bremerton.
She worked as a legal secretary and homemaker.
She enjoyed reading.
She is survived by sons Dennis (and wife Lori) Solway of Idaho and Michael Fisch of Port Orchard; daughters Diana Crockett and Lori Clark of Port Orchard; brother Dennis (and wife Terri) Day of Mukilteo; sisters Shannon (and husband Gus) Tomaras of Port Orchard and Sandra (and husband Edward) Tetrick of Port Orchard; and eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by husband Quinten McCarty in 1990 and by grandson Anthony Clark in 1990.
A family memorial gathering at her daughter’s home is scheduled for Nov. 18.
