Fahey, Kathleen Sun, 25 Nov 2001
Kathleen Anne Fahey, 44, of Port Orchard, died Nov. 25 at her residence.
Fahey was born Nov. 5, 1957 to Michael and Geraldine (Ozmina) Fahey in Albuquerque, N.M.
She graduated from Sunset High School in 1976 in Beaverton, Ore. and also attended Oregon State University.
Fahey worked as a care provider and waitress.
Her interests included a love of animals and being with friends.
Survivors include her dog, Cody; brother Mark Fahey of Albuquerque, N.M.; and sister Susan Fahey of West Richland, Wash.
A memorial service for Kathleen Fahey was held Nov. 29 at Rill Chapel.
Arrangements were made by Pendleton-Gilchrist Funeral Home at Rill Chapel.
Memorial donations may be made to Kitsap County Humane Society, 9167 Dickey Rd. NW, Silverdale, WA 98383.

Prichard, Minnie Wed, 14 Nov 2001
Minnie Hoglund Prichard, 87, of Manchester, died Nov. 14 after a brief illness in Edmonds.
Prichard was born July 1, 1914 to Mickel “Mike” and Anna Sofia (Mickelsdotter) Hoglund in Ballard.
She graduated from South Kitsap High School in 1931.
She married Jean L. Prichard in April 1982 in Port Townsend after renewing their friendship at a class reunion.
Prichard worked as a nanny for 12 years with several Seattle families and as a homemaker.
Her interests included being an accomplished gardener and a member of the Swedish Finn Historical Society.
Survivors include her husband; sons Carl M. Holmberg of Langley and John A. Holmberg of Bremerton; daughters Marilyn Holmberg of Seattle and Ann Beam of Sequim; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two stepdaughters; and one step

Holtine, Signey Mon, 01 Jan 2001
Signey N. Holtine, 76, of Bremerton, died Nov. 22 of ovarian cancer at Harrison Memorial Hospital in Bremerton.
Holtine was born May 30, 1925 to Lars and Jennie Lovik in Port Orchard.
She married Donald S. “Jack” Holtine on April 17, 1942 in Port Orchard.
She graduated South Kitsap High School in 1943.
Holtine worked as a grocery checker for 30 years at TB&M; stores and Uddenberg Thriftway, both in Bremerton, retiring in 1975.
Her interests included dancing and walking.
She was a member of Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in Bremerton.
Survivors include her husband; son Donald A. Holtine of Huntington Harbour, Calif.; daughter Jennie M. (Holtine) Chandler of Port Orchard; brother Melvin Lovik of Port Orchard; sister Gertie Thompson of Bremerton; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Sproul, Clenna Wed, 02 Jan 2002
Clenna June Jackman Sproul, 92, formerly of Blackfoot, Idaho, died Wednesday, Jan. 2, at the home of her daughter, Marilyn, in Port Orchard.
She was born June 11, 1909 in Blackfoot to Walter Brady Jackman and Martha Gardner Jackman.
She lived most of her life in the area, attending school in Blackfoot, graduating from Blackfoot High School. After graduation she attended Albion State Normal School and later Utah State Agricultural College.
On June 11, 1935, she married Kenneth Sproul in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He preceded her in death on Dec. 31, 1987.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in many callings. She served a mission to the North Central States Mission in St. Paul, Minnesota and sang with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir.
She enjoyed Brigham Young University sports, family history work and especially loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by two sons: Don (Louise) Sproul of Logan, Utah, and Jerry (Linda) Sproul of Iona, Idaho; six daughters: Marilyn (Darwin) Anderson of Port Orchard; Janet (Robert) Burnside of Los Alamos, New Mexico; Reva (Keith) Clark of Moreland, Idaho; Leatha Nielson of Shelley, Idaho; Sue (Robert) Athay of Meridian, Idaho; and, Jackie Sproul of Spanish Fork, Utah: one son- in-law, John Pruden of Idaho Falls, Idaho: one sister, LaRue Mathie of Kaysville, Utah; 39 grandchildren and 68 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, one daughter — Ann Pruden — and two sisters, Opal Harper and Velma Jackman.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 5 at the Thomas LDS Chapel. The family will meet with friends and relatives from 10 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. prior to services at the church.
Interment will be in the Riverside-Thomas cemetery.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Hawker, Hill Funeral Home.

Harteloo, George Tue, 01 Jan 2002
George was born in Battleground, Wash. where he grew up on his family’s dairy farm. He served in the U.S. Army Airforce from 1941 to 1945 as a navigator on a B-24 bomber. As a 1st Lieutenant, he flew 35 missions from Italy over Germany and received the Distinguished Flying Cross and the Air Medal for his service.
He moved to Nyssa, Ore. in 1946, working for 1st National Bank and transferred to Stayton in 1950 as its branch manager.
In 1951, he married Zelpha Smith in Sublimity. He also served as justice of the peace in Stayton and as a bookkeeper at Mt. Jefferson Tree Farm in Mehama.
George was manager of the telephone company in Stayton for 15 years before owning and operating George’s Glass Service for 15 years. He retired when he was 75.
He was a member of the Eagles in Salem and the Salem Area Horseshoe Pitching Association.
He enjoyed bowling, pitching horseshoes, playing pool and ballroom dancing. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Stayton.
Survivors include his sons Don of Stayton and Charles of Port Orchard; daughter Lucy Stroup of Sublimity; brothers Leo of Madras, Ore. and Roger of Vancouver, Wash.; and four grandchildren.
Rosary was held Friday in the church. Mass of Christian burial will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday in the church followed by interment in St. Mary’s cemetery.
Arrangements were made by Weddle Mortuary, Stayton.
Contributions may be made to the church.

Scully, Margaret Sun, 30 Dec 2001
Margaret Susan Scully, 84 of Port Orchard died Dec. 30 at her home.
She was born June 1, 1917 in Double Springs, AL to William and Mary (Downs) Marable.
She married Francis Gerald Scully in January 1941 in Statten Island, NY. He preceded her in death in 1989.
Scully graduated from Double Springs High School in Double Springs, AL and Peninsula College with a nursing degree in 1964. She worked as a beautician in Traverse City, MI and as an LPN in Port Angeles at Olympic Memorial Hospital and in Tacoma and Lakewood at Tacoma General Hospital. She retired in 1983. Scully was active in the Senior Citizen Group in Port Orchard and was an avid quilter.
Scully is survived by her daughters Patricia M. Sawyer of Milford, MI and Margaret Pennington of Fresno, CA, her brothers Ellis Marable of Knoxville, TN and Leon Marable of Indiana, her sister Nell Marable of Knoxville, TN and 4 grandchildren.
Scully’s funeral was held at Rill Chapel Jan. 3. Arrangements were made by Pendleton-Gilchrist at Rill Chapel.

Anderson, Dennis Fri, 28 Dec 2001
Dennis D. Anderson, 52, of Port Orchard Died Dec. 28 at his residence.
He was born June 22, 1949 to Melvin and Darlene (Fisher) Anderson.
Anderson was an SA in the US Navy during the Vietnam War and a heavy equipment operator Local 302 for 32 years. His main interests were fishing and golf.
He is survived by his mother Darlene Anderson of Port Orchard, his son Dennis D. Anderson II of Port Orchard, his daughters Sheila Hann of Sparks, NV and Cheryl Johnson of Granite Falls, WA, his brothers Howard A. Anderson of Gig Harbor and Ralph M. Anderson of Tacoma, his sisters Kristen L. Anderson of Port Orchard and Carol P. Anderson of Bainbridge Island and 5 grandchildren.
Arrangements were made by Pendleton-Gilchrist Funeral Home at Rill Chapel. Services were held Jan. 3 and inurnment was at Frada cemetery in Olalla.

Schwarberg, Rian Fri, 28 Dec 2001
Rian Cristofer Schwarberg, infant son of Ruth Schwarberg of Olalla, died on the day of his birth, December 28, 2001, at Tacoma General Hospital. He is survived by his mother and grandmother, Myra Hess of Olalla.
A graveside service was held Friday, January 4, 2002 at the Haven of Rest Memorial Park, Gig Harbor.

Willson, Evelyn Wed, 26 Dec 2001
Evelyn S. Willson, 86, of Port Orchard died Dec. 26, 2001 at Harrison Memorial Hospital. She was born March 25, 1915 in Portland, OR to John and Ming (Rude) Willson.
She married Charles Woodrow Willson June 29, 1940 in Seattle. He preceded her in death earlier in the year.
Willson graduated from Ballard High School in 1932 and Seattle Pacific College in 1936. She was a school teacher at Rochester School District and a homemaker. Her interests included teaching children at Sunday School and gardening. Willson was a member of Bremerton Free Methodist Church.
Willson is survived by her three sons, John of Whidby Island and Jerry and Ron of Port Orchard, her daughter Karen Rowe of Port Orchard, 6 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband Charles, brothers Walt, Lute and Gay Stavney and sisters Val Loberg and Dagna Wilkies.
Services will be held at Grace Bible Church in Port Orchard at 11:00 am Jan. 12. Interment will be at Sunset Lane cemetery. Funeral arrangements were handled by Pendleton-Gilchrist Funeral Home at Rill Chapel.

Watson, Clifford Thu, 20 Dec 2001
Clifford F. Watson, 59, of Port Orchard died Dec. 20 at the Naval Hospital in Brememrton of cancer.
He was born Aug. 23 1942 in Port Orchard to Curtis and Agnes (Cornwell) Watson and married Marie Hurst in Reno, NV Feb, 5 1972.
Watson graduated from South Kitsap High School in 1960. He was in the Navy from 1960 to 1980 and achieved the rank of Chief E-7. He worked for 8 years as an engineer at Vitro Labratories and retired in 1988.
He is survived by his sons Gary Watson, William and Wayne Trask, James and Steven Watson, all of Port Orchard and his daughters Melanie Auclair of Florida, Mary Olson and Diane Estes, both of Port Orchard. He is also survived by his brothers Curtis Watson of Port Orchard and Warren Watson of Bremerton and his sister Frances Cross of Port Orchard. He had 14 grandchildren and is survived by 7 nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at Rill Chapel Monday Dec. 31 at 1:30 pm and interment at Sunset Lane cemetery. Arrangements were handled by Pendleton-Gilchrist at Rill Chapel.
