JILL MARJORIE HENRY
Jan. 7, 1994 -- Dec. 30, 2003
Jill Marjorie Henry, 9, of Forks died Dec. 30, 2003, after a 1½-year battle with leukemia.
Jill was born to Mike and Katrina Henry on January 7, 1994, along with her twin sister, Jessica Kay Henry, in Port Angeles.
Jill lived all her life in Forks. Jill loved sports and was very competitive in everything she did. She was active in basketball, soccer and baseball and loved following the Seahawks and Mariners. She was involved in Girl Scouts and Missionettes.
Jill loved the outdoors. She went hunting with her dad (in full camo), rode bikes, swam, played and fought with her sisters in the yard and liked to go camping. She was always teasing or pulling a prank. She liked playing games and cards.
Jill was a 4th grader at Forks Elementary School and last December was picked for the Young Writers Conference.
She loved spending time with her family. During her 1½-year battle with leukemia, Jill touched many lives and was an inspiration to everyone around her. While in the hospital she inspired two nurses, that we know of, to change their field of nursing to pediatric oncology because of her. Everyone looked forward to seeing her beautiful smile or hearing her infectious laugh and seeing her positive attitude.
To pass the time in the hospital she spent her days reading her huge amounts of mail, coloring, drawing, doing crafts, playing games and cards, riding her green machine, and squirting nurses with syringes of water.
Jill was a true fighter and through even the toughest times found something good in each day. She will be dearly missed.
Jill is survived by her parents, Mike and Katrina Henry, sisters, Lauren, Jess and Jaime Henry, grandparents Mike and Janice Price and Carol Hoffman all of Forks. She is also survived by a great-grandmother, Robert Nations of Arlington, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
