Port Angeles resident Ranae Fay Brandt Telios died at age 45 of complications following knee surgery.
She was born in Jamestown, N.D., to Richard E. and Lavonne (Carlson) Brandt.
She married
and divorced Thomas Telios.
Mrs. Telios is survived by son Jeffrey J. Johnson of Seattle; brother and sister-in-law Richard and Jennifer Brandt and sisters and brothers-in-law Susanne and James Jerome, Terry and Roger Ingram, Laurie and Chris Swegle, and Richelle and Curtis Wright, all of Port Angeles; and sister Colleen Lee of Spokane.
Services: Private family graveside committal in Mount Angeles Memorial Park, U.S. Highway 101 and Monroe Road, Port Angeles. Harper-Ridgeview Funeral Home, Port Angeles, was in charge of arrangements.
Inez Sybil Brooks
July 1, 1915 -- Nov. 16, 2004
Inez Sybil Brooks died in Sequim at age 89.

Patricia Jackson
Sept. 12, 1917 -- Nov. 16, 2004
Patricia Jackson died in Port Angeles at age 87.

Richard Mottner
June 18, 1921 -- Nov. 4, 2004
Sequim resident Richard Mottner died at age 83.
He was born in Colville to Antone and Martha Marie (Verrell) Mottner and attended Bremerton schools from the third grade through high school graduation.
He married
Virginia Gillard in 1942.
He joined the Army in January 1944, and served in the Rhineland Campaign, attaining the rank of sergeant. He was discharged in March 1946.
In the 1950s, the Mottners moved to Forks, where he drove bulldozers for several logging companies as well as making a fire line around the city during the 1951 Forks fire.
In response to a summer slump in employment, he became a licensed commercial pilot. He then drove to Mississippi and became a crop duster.
Mr. Mottner was an operating engineer in Alaska in the 1960s.
After moving to Seattle, he worked in many locations and many positions for Mullins Construction, including camp manager, road grader or bulldozer, and rock selector.
In Sequim, Mr. Mottner belonged to American Legion, Elks Lodge, Community Aid and Trinity United Methodist Church.
The Mottners divorced in 1989.
Survivors include son and daughter-in-law Richard and Cheryl Mottner of South Beach, Ore.; son Roy Mottner of Boulder City, Nev.; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; sister Valla Hage of Port Orchard; and companion Donna Tidrick and her family.
He was preceded in death by sisters Margorie Dill and Laura Timbes.
Services: Sunday, Nov. 21, 10 a.m., memorial in Trinity United Methodist Church, 100 S. Blake Ave., Sequim. Burial will be in Forest Lawn cemetery, Bremerton.
Miller Woodlawn Memorial Park, Bremerton, was in charge of cremation.
Memorials: Charity of choice. The family requests no flowers.
William H. `Bill' Oliver
Feb. 17, 1942 -- Nov. 12, 2004
William H. ``Bill" Oliver, 62, of Port Angeles died in Olympic Medical Center.
Born in Seattle, he was the son of Evelyn (Kullander) and Paul Oliver, who became his stepfather.
He graduated from high school in Southern California. He served with the Air Force in Nebraska, California and New Orleans from 1960 to 1964.
Mr. Oliver earned his bachelor's degree from City University in Seattle.
In Port Angeles, he was hired at the Port of Port Angeles log yard, then worked his way up to Port terminal manager before retiring after 30 years.
He was a member of Kiwanis.
He married
Barbra Dee Gardner in Port Angeles on March 6, 1965.
Mr. Oliver enjoyed sailing, tinkering around the house and spending time with his family.
In addition to his wife and son, Don, both of Port Angeles, survivors include son Michael Oliver of Salem, Ore.; father of Perris, Calif.; and eight grandchildren.
Mr. Oliver's mother preceded him in death.
Services: Celebration of life to be announced. The Neptune Society, Lynnwood, is in charge of burial.

Charles Roberts
March 14, 1947 -- Nov. 15, 2004
Charles Roberts died in Port Angeles at age 57.

Charles Edward Shockley
Nov. 10, 1912 -- Nov. 13, 2004
Former Port Angeles resident Charles Edward Shockley died in Mill Creek Point Assisted Living Home, The Dalles, Ore., at age 92.
The oldest of three children, he was born to George William and Dora Ellen (Partch) Shockley in Outlook.
Mr. Shockley married
Doris Lorraine Hill in 1936.
After moving to Port Angeles in 1950, Mr. Shockley became a mechanic for Joe Janish Motors and a car dealership, then built his own service station, Shockley's Richfield, at Eighth and Cherry streets.
He and Doris divorced in 1957.
He married
Viola (Hermann) Dickson in 1961.
Upon retirement in 1970, the couple traveled in their motor home, then settled in The Dalles in 1979.
Survivors include daughter Deanna Lee Meyers of Everett; daughters and sons-in-law Carol Jean and Howard Strom of Othello and Peggy Ann and Edward Adamich of Port Angeles; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
He was preceded in death by his wife, brothers Claude and Harry Shockley, and by grandson Christopher Charles Ackenhausen.
Services: Private family graveside services in The Dalles, Ore. Spencer, Libby and Powell Funeral Home, The Dalles, was in charge.

Edmund Frank Welch
Jan. 10, 1925 -- Nov. 15, 2004
Port Ludlow resident Edmund Frank Welch died of cancer at age 79.
He was born in Corsicana, Texas, to Edmund Harrison and Florence (Braley) Welch.
He served with the Army during World War II.
He married
Maxine Eloise Leavell in Reno, Nev., on May 19, 1975.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Welch's survivors include son Michael Saffer of Big Pine Key, Fla.; daughter Cynthia Sexton of Puyallup; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by brother Tom Welch and sister Mary Frances Welch.
Services: None. Kosec Funeral Home, Port Townsend, is in charge of burial.
MONA ETHELYN FISHER
Mona Ethelyn Fisher, 84, of Anacortes, Washington, died Saturday, November 6, 2004, at her home in Anacortes.
She was born in a log cabin in Crystal, Maine, on January 13, 1920, the daughter of Olen and Alice (Stewart) Adams.
Mona received her elementary schooling in Crystal, then attended Patten Academy, graduating in 1937.
While in school she was very involved in activities such as Drama and Glee Clubs.
Mona was the type of person that always finished whatever she started.
She met Allen J. Fisher in 1938, and after dating they were married
on June 13, 1942, in Gardiner, Maine.
They raised their three children in Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Oklahoma, before moving to Friday Harbor in 1979, and then finally settling in Anacortes in 1988.
Mona was an exceptional homemaker, with baking being one of her specialties.
She also volunteered extensively all her life, including at the Anacortes Senior Center.
She was a prolific artist and enjoyed all arts and crafts, especially knitting and crocheting.
Mona is survived by her husband, Allen, of Anacortes; two sons and daughter-in-law, Winfred A. Fisher of Port Angeles, and Lancet M. and Jane Fisher of Mount Vernon; daughter Darlene M. Fisher of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Rachel Adams of Portland, Maine; sisters and brothers-in-law Viola and Russ Jubie of Lake Stevens, Washington, Violet and Everett Nowland of Norton, Massachusetts, and Alice Marie and Kenneth Sparks of Gardiner, Maine; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

All are welcome to attend a graveside urn committal at 1 p.m. Friday, November 19, 2004, at Fernhill cemetery in Anacortes.

Helen Oleta Baggett
Jan. 6, 1910 -- Nov. 10, 2004
Port Angeles resident Helen Oleta Baggett died at age 94.
She was born in Lucas, Kan., to Chester Fred and Matilda (Harris) Barr.
She graduated from high school in 1928.
She married
Oscar John Baggett in San Benito, Texas, on July 11, 1937.
One of Mrs. Baggett's early jobs was that of telephone operator who asked callers, ``Number, please."
She lived in Texas before moving to Port Angeles in 1989.
She was a member of Independent Bible Church of Port Angeles.
Mrs. Baggett enjoyed doing what she called ``land work, " which included knitting sweaters and blankets for family and friends.
Survivors include daughter Shirley Stenger of Port Angeles; stepdaughter Mildred Pleasants of Marietta, Ga., and stepson J.D. Baggett of Atlanta; five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Her husband of more than 50 years died in January 1988. Two brothers and three sisters also preceded her in death.
Services: Friday, Nov. 19, 2 p.m., memorial in Independent Bible Church Worship Center, 116 E. Ahlvers Road, Port Angeles. The Rev. Michael Jones will officiate. Drennan-Ford Funeral Home, Port Angeles, is in charge of arrangements.
