Francis William Robinson Sr.
March 17, 1912 -- March 20, 2005

Longtime Port Angeles resident Francis William died of a heart attack at age 93.
He was born to Harry and Philena (Ridgley) Robinson in Little Pine, Minn.
He attended schools in Minnesota and Sunnyside.
He married Pearl Jane Pate in Sunnyside on Feb. 3, 1934. She died in 1997.
Mr. Robinson came to Port Angeles in 1937 to work at the Crown Zellerbach mill.
He was a blacksmith until retiring in 1974.
He enjoyed hunting and gardening.
Mr. Robinson belonged to the Wapiti Bowmen archery club and the Washington Pulp and Paper Workers union, and was an honorary member of Dry Creek Grange.
Survivors include son Francis W. Robinson Jr. of Port Angeles; son and daughter-in-law John and Barbara Robinson of Tonto Basin, Ariz.; brothers Richard Robinson of Alderwood and George Robinson of Ellensburg; and six grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Services: Saturday, March 26, graveside service at Mount Angeles Memorial Park, U.S. Highway 101 and Monroe Road, Port Angeles; John Cook will officiate.
Harper-Ridgeview Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials: Hospice of Clallam County, P.O. Box 2014, Port Angeles, WA 98362.

Evelyn L. Bergstrom
April 24, 1947 -- March 24, 2005

Evelyn L. Bergstrom died in her Nordland home of pancreatic cancer at age 57.
Kosec Funeral Home, Port Townsend, is in charge of cremation.

Nancy L. Greenia
Sept. 4, 1932 -- March 23, 2005

Port Angeles resident Nancy L. Greenia died in Olympic Medical Center at age 72.
Cause of death is pending.
She was born in Chicago to Edward and Edith Irene (Howard) Schoenwald.
Her 1951 marriage to Charles Stoddard, in New Jersey, ended in divorce.
She married Rufus ``Rudy" Greenia in Carmel, Calif., on Feb. 10, 1973.
Mrs. Greenia was a homemaker and a member of Jehovah's Witnesses.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Greenia's survivors include son William Stoddard and daughter Pamela Stoddard, both of California; brother Howard Nemetsky of Georgetown, Texas; sisters Frances Todd of Hollister, Mo., and Ilene Gauntlett of Oklahoma; and two grandchildren.
Services: April 2, 2 p.m., memorial in Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 1714 N. N St., Port Angeles.

Bernard Louis Johnson
Nov. 30, 1925 -- March 24, 2005

Sequim resident Bernard Louis Johnson died of natural causes in Olympic Medical Center, Port Angeles, at age 79.
He was born in El Dorado, Neb., to Everett R. and Esther (Scheer) Johnson. He graduated from Harvard High School in Harvard, Neb., and attended Hastings College in Hastings, Neb.
During World War II, he served in the Navy as a radioman in the Pacific Fleet.
In addition to being an entrepreneur and inventor, Mr. Johnson worked 22 years as a claims manager and, later, as a facilities manager for Safeco Insurance.
Mr. Johnson, who enjoyed to golf and was a member of SunLand Country Club, also liked dancing, reading and working crossword puzzles.
He married Patricia M. Robb on Aug. 28, 1953.
Survivors include his wife; daughter and son-in-law Michaela and John McKay of Bothell; brothers Laurence of Naples, Maine, Ken of Oak Harbor and Lowell of Sioux City, Iowa; and sisters Helen Trandt of Lincoln, Neb., and Nancy Webster of Bailey, Colo.
He was preceded in death by brother Harold Johnson and sister Dorothy Kahm.
Services: At his request, none. Drennan-Ford Funeral Home, Port Angeles, is in charge of arrangements.

Sharon I. Kyllo
Jan. 13, 1935 -- March 23, 2005

Port Angeles resident Sharon I. Kyllo, 70, died of respiratory failure in Spokane.
She was born in Sequim to Loyd John and Thelma Irene (Cays) Fisher, and graduated from Sequim High School and Central Washington University.
She married Kelly Sterling Kyllo on June 30, 1956, in Sequim United Methodist Church.
He died July 13, 1983.
Mrs. Kyllo was a florist and lived in Washington, Oregon and Hawaii.
She particularly enjoyed living and vacationing in Hawaii. She also liked sewing.
Survivors include sons Kraig Kyllo of Port Angeles and Kevin Kyllo of Nine Mile Falls; daughter Kimberly Kyllo of Spokane Valley; brother Greg Fisher of Sequim; sister Shelby Schott of Marysville; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Services: Time and place to be announced. Harper-Ridgeview Funeral Chapel, Port Angeles, is in charge of arrangements.

Alta Coral Marlow
June 9, 1931 -- March 23, 2005

Port Hadlock resident Alta Coral Marlow died of cancer in her Irondale home, surrounded by her family. She was 73.
She was born in Buckley to Curtiss Bjorn and Frances Nellie (Desso) Anderson.
She was married to William Sim in 1950-56.
She married Eldon L. ``Jack" Marlow on April 11, 1959.
Mrs. Marlow enjoyed cooking, gardening, needlework such as knitting and crocheting, and crafts such as ceramics.
She was a member of the Rebekahs in Chimacum.
Mrs. Marlow is survived by her husband; sons and daughters-in-law Curt and Joan Marlow of Chimacum and Bill and Jessica Marlow of Port Hadlock; daughter and son-in-law Sherry and Henry Matson of Yakima; sisters Patricia Bird of Edmonds and Penelope Gonzales of Port Hadlock; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Services: April 16, 1 p.m., memorial potluck at the family home, 51 Thomas St., Port Hadlock. Miller-Woodlawn Funeral Home, Bremerton, is in charge.
Memorials: Jefferson Healthcare Hospice, 834 Sheridan St., Port Townsend, WA 98368.

Ray `Pete' Peterson
Oct. 11, 1940 -- March 13, 2005

Ray ``Pete" Peterson, who resided in Quilcene and Bainbridge Island, died in Jefferson Healthcare hospital, Port Townsend, after a brief illness. He was 64.
Born in Seattle to Robert Victor and Ilmi Victoria (Alto) Peterson, he grew up on Bainbridge Island.
He started Ray Peterson Bulldozing with his father in 1964.
He donated time and equipment to the Bainbridge Island Rotary Club, library, Little League baseball and soccer clubs, and the Poulsbo Chamber of Commerce.
He maintained his Quilcene home for 14 years and Bainbridge Island home for 24 years.
He married Holly Hoffstater in Reno, Nev., on Sept. 13, 1999.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Peterson's survivors include daughter and son-in-law Lisa and John Hays and daughter Shari Peterson; parents-in-law Louis John and Marilyn Hoffstater; brother-in-law John Hoffstater and brother-in-law and sister-in-law Scott and Cathy Hoffstater; sister-in-law Heather Hardy; and three grandchildren.
Services: April 9, 3-6 p.m., celebration of life at the Eagles Fraternal Order, 4230 N.E. Lincoln Road, Poulsbo. Kosec Funeral Home, Port Townsend, is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials: Quilcene Fire Department, P.O. Box 142, Quilcene, WA 98376; or Discovery Bay Fire Department, 2200 Old Gardiner Road, Sequim, WA 98382.
The family requests no flowers.

William Scott Snyder
May 27, 1915 -- March 23, 2005

William Scott Snyder died in Olympic Care and Rehabilitation Center, Sequim, at age 89.
He was born in San Jose, Calif., to Roy and Genevieve (Evans) Snyder.
He graduated from Stadium High School in Tacoma, where he was Washington state swim champion for two years.
He met Freda M. Weingard in high school, and they married Oct. 23, 1937.
Mr. Snyder served in the Navy during World War II.
He was a sign painter, artist and fisherman in Tacoma, Clallam Bay and Sequim.
His survivors include sons Jan Scott Snyder and Jon Charles Snyder; daughter Janet Ann Ellison; 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
His wife died May 26, 2003. Mr. Snyder was also preceded in death by brother Jack Evan Snyder, sisters Dorothy Grace Shaw and Bette Jane Roberts, and great-granddaughter Sarah Wood.
Services: Sequim Valley Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements, including a graveside service in Dungeness cemetery, Sequim.

Lester Carl Frank Wickert
July 25, 1923 -- March 24, 2005

Lester Carl Frank Wickert of Sequim died at age 81.
Drennan-Ford Funeral Home, Port Angeles, is in charge of arrangements.
