Fe D. Morden of Federal Way died Nov. 19.
She was 55.
She was born March 9, 1950 in Carles, the Philippines.
Survivors include her husband, Richard; children Laramie Cosek of Federal Way, Maria Taylor of Oak Harbor and Aaron DelosSantos of Mount Vernon; seven grandchildren; and 15 brothers and sisters residing in the Philippines.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. today at Yahn and Son Funeral Home, located at 55 W. Valley Hwy. S. in Auburn.

Englund, Christine Sunday, 20 Nov 2005
Christine E. (Chris) Englund of Federal Way died Nov. 20. She was 100.
She was born Jan. 6, 1905 in Saskatchewan, Canada, the third in a family of 10 children. At the age of 19, she immigrated to the United States and began working as a housemaid and nanny in Seattle.
In 1926, she married Ed Englund, a carpenter who was a Swedish immigrant. They later became naturalized U.S. citizens, and in 1941 they bought land in the Federal Way area, where they raised a family and where Mrs. Englund still resided at the time of her death.
Survivors include sons Lars, Eric and Ed Jr., 11 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1986 and all nine of her siblings ?”?” seven brothers and two sisters.
A memorial service is scheduled for today at 11 a.m. at All Saints Lutheran Church, located at Military Road and South 272nd Street.

McVeigh, Carmae Friday, 11 Nov 2005
Carmae Tessier McVeigh of Auburn West Hill died Nov. 11. She was born Sept. 11, 1968.
Survivors include her husband, Cory McVeigh; parents Maurice and Isabel Tessier of Federal Way; and brothers Aaron Tessier and Brian Tessier.
Rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 18 at Bonney Watson Federal Way, 1535 SW. Dash Point Road. Memorial Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Nov. 19 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church on Eighth Ave. S.

DeRosia Gordon, Joan Tuesday, 11 Oct 2005
Joan Neva DeRosia Gordon died Oct. 11 in Cle Elem.
She was born July 11, 1931 in Syracuse, N.Y., where she spent her childhood.
Survivors include her husband, Jack Gordon; children Chester Saunders, Robbin Ahles, Valerie Wood and Wayne Saunders; sisters, Arleen Lee and Carol Freeman of New York; and nine grandchildren and two step-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Myron DeRosia, son Micheal DeRosia, sisters Lola and Evelyn and brother Kyle Brower.
A memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Oct. 29 at Steel Lake Presbyterian Church, Hurd Chapel, 1829 S. 308th St. Inurnment will be at Sumner City cemetery in Sumner.

Riles Jr., William Sunday, 09 Oct 2005
William Alvin Riles Jr. of Federal Way died Oct. 9. He was 72.
He was born Dec. 10, 1932 in Pittsburgh, Pa., and moved to the Seattle area from Pennsylvania in 1970.
He was a mechanic with United Airlines before retiring in 1996 after a 38-year career.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Dorothy; sons Jim Riles of Puyallup and William Riles of Federal Way; daughters Sandy Kay of Federal Way and Cathy Zenka of Renton; sisters Gail Allender of Bridgeville, Pa. and Louise Hale of Bethel Park, Pa.; and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, William A. Riles Sr. and Julia Ann Riles.
A funeral service was conducted Oct. 14 at Yahn and Son Funeral Home in Auburn.
The family suggests memorials be sent to Good Samaritan Hospital, 407 14th Ave. SE, Puyallup, WA 98372, or American Heart Association, 4414 Woodland Park Ave. N., Seattle, WA 98103.

Bremer, Connie Thursday, 06 Oct 2005
Connie Gail Bremer died Oct. 6. She was 68.
She was born Jan. 11, 1937 in Dallas, Ore. to George and Frieda Heppner. She graduated from Dallas High School in 1955.
She retired from AT&T after 30 years and then received her real estate license. She sold real estate in Federal Way area for about 15 years.
She returned in April to Dallas, where she resided at the time of her death.
Survivors include her mother, who lives in Dallas; daughters Becky Settles of Lawrenceville, Ga. and Wendy Nielsen of Salem, Ore; brother; George Heppner of Bend, Ore. and Brad Heppner of Redmond, Wash.; and four grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Oct. 15 in Dallas, with interment following at Dallas cemetery under the direction of Dallas Mortuary Tribute Center. On-line condolences may be sent to www.dallastribute.com.

Fischer, Terry Wednesday, 09 Apr 2003
Terry W. Fischer of Federal Way died April 9.
Survivors include his children, Steve, Rick and Tanya; his parents, Walter and Leah Fischer; a brother, Virgil; sisters Shirley, Ruth, June, Joy, Viv, Kay and Dawn; and five grandchildren.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at 5 p.m. April 17 at The Sun Break Café on A Street Southwest in Auburn.
The family requests no flowers or cards.
Arrangements are by Yahn & Son Funeral Home.

Hall, John Lewis Tuesday, 01 Apr 2003
John Lewis Hall of Auburn West Hill died April 1 in Renton. He was 71.
Born on May 24, 1931 in Seattle to Charles and Lola Hall, he served in the Air Force, taught third and fourth grade in the Auburn School District between 1957 and 1987, and was active in the Mayflower Society.
Survivors include his wife, Frances; a brother, Robert; children Don, Jennifer, Lisa and John; and four grandchildren.
In keeping with his wishes, no funeral or memorial service were held.
The family suggests memorials be made to the American Heart Association.

Gunderson, Joseph Wednesday, 26 Mar 2003
Joseph Marvin Gunderson of Federal Way died March 26 at Hallmark Manor.
He was 74.
He was born Sept. 9, 1928 in Portland, Ore., and married LaVerne Sassetti in 1953 in Kent.
He retired in 1994 from the Boeing Space Center in Kent. His professional career highlights included helping solve the Apollo 13 incident while working on the Apollo space programs from 1967 to 1988 at Boeing NASA in Houston, Texas.
He received degrees at the University of Washington and M.S. Case Institute of Technology of Cleveland Ohio.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, LaVerne; children Joe Gunderson and Pamela Newby, both of Federal Way, Janice Elzey of Pasadena, Texas and Jill Gunderson of Lake Tapps; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Private family services were held.
The family suggests memorials be made to the Covington Community Church Memorial in Covington.

Morris, Benjamin Saturday, 06 Jul 2002
Benjamin Martin Morris died July 6 in Federal Way. He was 92.
Born Feb. 27, 1910, in Port Angeles, he was a lifelong resident of the Pacific Northwest. He owned and operated restaurants in Hood Canal and Redondo.
He is survived by his son, George Michael Morris of Myakka, Fla., and two grandsons.
A celebration of his life will be held from noon to 3 p.m. Aug. 6 in the Community Center of Bay Shore Condominiums in Redondo.
Cremation was arranged by Bonney-Watson Federal Way.

Mossett, Helen Tuesday, 18 Jun 2002
Helen A. Mossett died June 18 in Auburn. She was 83.
Born Sept. 6, 1918 in Hillsview, S.D., she was a 15-year Auburn resident, coming from Federal Way where she lived for 33 years, and a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church in Auburn.
She is survived by her children Harlin Mossett of San Pablo, Calif., Jimmy Mossett and Rocky Mossett, both of Las Vegas, Lila Pruyne of Casa Grande, Ariz., Betty Vance of Federal Way, Shirley McDowell of Bellevue, and Debbie Brooke of Renton; sister, Rose Moser of Federal Way; 24 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by three children, Karen, Chester and Larry.
Vigil services will begin at 4 p.m. Sunday, June 23 in the Price-Helton Funeral Chapel, 702 Auburn Way N. Visitation is from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday. Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the Holy Family Catholic Church at 10 a.m. Monday, June 24. Burial will follow in Gethsemane Catholic cemetery in Federal Way.
Memorials are suggested to the American Diabetes Association.

Heritage, Donald Sunday, 16 Jun 2002
Donald R. Heritage died June 16 of cancer.
Born Dec. 14, 1950 in Aberdeen, he graduated from Auburn High School and served two years in the U.S. Army. He worked at Lakehaven Utility District for 27 years and was a member of West Hill/Cornerstone Baptist churches for 33 years where he worked with youth and outreach. He traveled to Romania several times to help disadvantaged orphans and street children in Bucharest. A sports enthusiast, he coached his children’s sports teams while playing in adult softball and basketball leagues.
He is survived by his children, Mike and Niccole Heritage of Federal Way; friend and ex-wife, Joy Heritage Thayer; brothers, James Heritage of Anchorage and Richard Heritage of Federal Way; and sister, Betty Clifton of Shelton.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. June 22 at Cornerstone Community Baptist Church, 25030 Military Road S., Kent. Memorials may be made in Don’s name to the Youth Summer Camp Scholarship Fund at Cornerstone Church (839-9380).

Smith, Merrill Tuesday, 21 May 2002
Merrill T. Smith died May 21 in Prescott, Ariz.
He was 49.
Born June 27, 1952, in West Seattle, he was a resident of Federal Way for more than 30 years before moving to Arizona.
He is survived by his daughter, Nicole Morrow of Auburn; a brother, J. Martin Smith of Olympia; a sister, Michele A. Smith of Burien; and one grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, M.L. and Marcia Smith.
Services were July 9 at Mountain View cemetery.

Vazquez, Aida Monday, 08 Apr 2002
Aida T. Vazquez of Federal Way died April 8. She was 76.
She was born June 19, 1925, in Cayey, Puerto Rico. She left Puerto Rico to complete her education at New York University in 1947 and married Salvador Vazquez on Dec. 16, 1950, in New York City. Since he was in the Air Force, they traveled throughout Europe and the Mediterranean region before settling in Seattle in 1981.
With her husband, she operated the Neighborhood Recycling Center in Federal Way for 18 years.
She is survived by her husband; sons Mario of Snohomish and Larry of Omaha, Neb.; and four grandchildren.
A graveside service was held April 12 at Tahoma National cemetery in Kent, followed by a memorial service at Grace Church in Federal Way.
The family suggests memorial contributions in her name be made to Swedish Providence Hospice Center.
