Masedonio Ybanez Ruiz
Masedonio Ybanez Ruiz, 64, passed away on June 28, 2004 in Everett, WA.
He was born on August 15, 1939 in George West, TX to Manuel and Hilda Ruiz. He lived life to the fullest and loved eagles, playing guitar and singing, and playing pool at the senior center.
He is survived by: his wife Laris of the family home; daughter Tonya Fretland; sons, Jeff and Anthony Ruiz; many grandchildren; one great granddaughter; and many brothers and sisters.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 1, 2004 at 10:00am at the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Everett, WA, followed by a graveside service at 2:00pm at the Fir-Conway Lutheran Cemetery in Mount Vernon, WA.
Arrangements are under the direction and care of Kern Funeral Home.
Myrtle Louise Kirsch
Myrtle Louise Kirsch, 97, long time resident of Everett, WA, passed away peacefully on June 25, 2004 with her family by her side.
She was born December 17, 1906 in Sprague, WA, one of seven children born to John and Magnhild Bodine. For many years Myrtle worked as a legal secretary in Everett. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Everett, past Worthy Matron of Eastern Star Chapter #222, past President of Friendship Club, past President of Daughter's of Norway, and a member of PEO Chapter Q.
Myrtle was preceded in death by: her husband, Martin; and son Larry Kirsch of Silverdale, WA.
She is loved and will be dearly missed by her daughter Karen (Lee) Troupe of Marysville. She was a special grandma to Michelle (Matt) Chaney of Marysville, Michael (Carrie) Troupe of Marysville, Lori (Jack) Morgan of Poulsbo, Linda (Curtis) Crews of Everett, and Jackie (Tom) Hoffman of Olalla. She was a loving great grandma to Rylee Koski, Morgan and Ryan Chaney, Alex and Zachary Troupe, Jenny (Ryan) Nelson, Jared Morgan, Kamryn Morgan, and Brielle Foley. Myrtle leaves behind one sister, Isabell Tams, and numerous other relatives and friends.
We would like to thank the caregivers at Golden Villa Adult Family Home (Sharon, Melissa, Kim, Kim and Dory) for the loving care they gave Myrtle and the support given to her family. We would also like to thank Group Health Hospice.
Anyone who knew Myrtle was truly blessed to have had such a wonderful person in their lives.
A private graveside service will be held at Floral Hills Cemetery. The memorial service will be held Thursday, July 1, 2004 at 1:00pm at the First Baptist Church, 1616 Pacific, Everett.

Barbara Jean Sage, 71, of Arlington, WA, passed away on June 22, 2004.

Beryl "Ginger" Meide
Beryl "Ginger" Meide, 59, of Ellensburg died Wednesday, July 28, 2004 at Heritage Grove Care Center in Yakima where she had lived for two years.
She was born in Everett on July 6, 1945, one of two daughters of Henry and Florence (Burrill) Florence. Following graduation from high school in Everett in 1963 she earned an Associate Degree from Everett Community College. She and Glen Meide were married in 1967. While raising their family in Everett, she worked in banking as a teller, retiring after 20 years. She moved with her husband to Ellensburg in 1995 and continued to pursue her many interests, including shopping, gardening, traveling, camping and enjoying nature.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her husband of 37 years, Glen Meide, now of Cle Elum; a son James Meide of Marysville, WA; a daughter Rebecca (Chris) Palo of Ellensburg; two grandchildren Jack and Nicholas; sister Marj (Steve) Lowery and nieces Jasmine and Stephanie of Daleville, Alabama.
Memorial service will follow in the near future, with details to be announced.

Chester R. "Mac" McArthur
Retired SFC, US Army
Mac was born Dec 23, 1933, in New Westminister, B.C. and passed away July 26, 2004 in Texas.
He is survived by his wife, Debbie, of Carrollton, TX; his children; Marc, of Everett, Terry, of MI, Lori Ayres, of Marysville, Vicki Frodsham, of Arlington, Debie Bodda and Linda Myrick of Marysville, Leigh of CA, Brenda of CO, and Bill of CA; 23 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren; and sisters, May and Ruth of Canada.
He was preceded in death by his son, Chris; two grandchildren; and his brother, Bill.
Mac was a long time member of the Eagles and the American Legion.
Funeral services will be at a later date in Dallas Texas.
Ernesto Ramierez-Zarate
Ernesto Ramierez-Zarate, 39, passed away on July 28, 2004 in Edmonds, WA.
Visitation will be held Saturday, July 31st from 4:00 until 8:00pm at Evergreen Funeral Home, 4504 Broadway, Everett. A funeral mass will be said at 12:00noon Monday, August 2nd at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 4200 88th N.E., Marysville with interment following at Evergreen Cemetery, Everett.
Evelyn Irene Glewwe
Evelyn Irene Glewwe, 96, died Wednesday, July 28, 2004 in Everett.
She is survived by a son, Donald Lewis Hagen of Massachusetts; two grandchildren; and a cousin, James Simcox of Bellingham.
Evelyn was a member of the L.D.S. Church of Granite Falls.
Services will be Saturday, July 31, 2004 at 2:00pm at the L.D.S. Church in Arlington. Visitation will be at the church one hour before. Burial will follow at the Arlington Cemetery.
Ilene F. Ennis
Ilene F. Ennis, age 80, of Everett, WA, went to be with the Lord on July 23, 2004.
She was born February 14, 1924, in Wenatchee, WA, the daughter of John and Edith Reid and lived in Everett, WA since 1946. Ilene married William J. Ennis November 7, 1968. He was the love of her life and she missed him greatly after his death. She worked as a manager of Impression Northwest. She was a member of the Eagles and past member of the Altrusa Club of Everett. Ilene was an avid collector of antiques. She loved to play bingo and vacation in Reno. She loved spending time with her brother, sisters, children and grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all.
She is survived by three daughters, Kathrine Isdal, Debra Reynolds and Terry, and Sherri Cushman and Dennis; four step-children, William Ennis and Norma, Ingrid Mager and Ted, Roy Ennis and Roween and Jerome Ennis and Denise; 21 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; her brother Warren Reid and Fran; three sisters, Iona Hoefke, Wanda Pascoe and Wally and Dolores Miller.
Ilene was preceded in death by her brother Lyle Reid.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, July 31st at Cypress Lawn Memorial Park, 1615 SE Everett Mall Way, Everett, WA.
Arrangements are under the care of Solie Funeral Home.
Jack M. Eiswerth
Jack Eiswerth of Everett, WA died of heart failure on July 28, 2004. He was 65 years old. Jack was born in Colorado Springs, CO, May 13, 1939.
His mother and father were from Wellfleet, NB and Woodland Park, CO, respectively. His family moved from Colorado to Salem, OR in early 1941.
Jack graduated from South Salem High School in 1957. He attended Colorado College in Colorado Springs for two years, 1957 to 1959. He then returned to Oregon where he continued his education at Oregon College of Education earning a B.A. and a Masters Degree. He served in the U.S. Army from September, 1964 to November, 1967. He enjoyed a teaching career at Everett Community College in Everett, WA, for 27 years, retiring in 1994.
Jack was an avid outdoors man, hunting, fishing and camping all of his life in several states from Oregon to Colorado, to Alaska, Montana and California.
Jack was a good son, brother, husband, father, uncle, brother-in-law and friend. He was fun to be around and will be missed by all those fortunate enough to have known him.
He is survived by his wife Mary; son, Bob of MO; daughter, Crystal of MO; and brothers, Dan of Vancouver, WA, and Gene of Evergreen, CO.
He was preceded in death by his father, Bob in 1959, his mother, Lucille in 2003 and his oldest brother, Bob in 2000.
A memorial will be held on Monday, August 2nd at 12:00pm at the First Christian Reformed Church of Everett. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart Association or the Endowment Fund of the First Christian Reformed Church.
Katrina "Kitty" Harmony
On July 25, 2004, Katrina "Kitty" Louise Harmony went to be with her Lord and Savior.
Kitty was born in Forest Grove, OR, on February 12, 1948, and resided in Washington for the last 40 plus years. She worked as an RN, showing exceptional empathy and compassion for all she came in contact with, whether they were people or animals. Kitty was very involved in Christian Youth Ministry as well as 4-H.
She will be remembered for her love of her sons, Richard Townsend, Marcus (Jenny) Cravens), Michael Townsend Harmony; and his beloved wife, Sonja Cox. Kitty is also survived by: her father George Warneking; her mother Betty Nation; brother Fred Warneking; her five grandchildren, Matthew, Christopher, Brandon, Kayleena, and Kylie.
Kitty was preceded in death by her son, Robbie.
A memorial service will be held on July 31 at 4:00pm through her church, Well-Spring Chapel at the Evergreen Unitarian U Fellowship, 1607 4th Street, Marysville, WA. Laurie L. Townsend, 56, passed away July 25, 2004.

Michael Ross Sandven
Michael Ross Sandven, 35, of Stanwood, WA, passed away July 12, 2004 at a Custer, SD hospital.
Memorial services will be held July 31st at 1:00pm at Weller's Funeral Home in Arlington, WA.

Albert Charles Weishaupt
Albert Charles Weishaupt, 62, of Monroe died July 28, 2004 at Providence Everett Medical Center.
He was born January 26, 1942 in Snohomish, WA to Albert and Hilda Weishaupt. Albert lived his entire life in the Tualco Valley just south of Monroe on the family farm, most recently growing raspberries. He was a kind, caring man. Albert graduated from Monroe High School in 1960.
He was a member of the Monroe Swiss Colony, Monroe Kiwanis, Tualco Grange, and St. Mary of the Valley Catholic Church.
He is survived by his sister and brother-in-law Helen and John Deck of Monroe; six nieces and nephews, Teresa, John Jr., Rita, Paul, and David Deck all of Monroe and Monica Barber (Mitch) of Seattle; uncle Ted Biderbost of Monroe; aunts Anna Groger of Monroe and Frances Albert of Arlington; and numerous cousins.
Viewing will be held Monday, August 2nd starting at 11:00am and the Rosary will be said at 7:00pm at Purdy & Kerr Funeral Home, Monroe. Services will be held Tuesday, August 3, 2004 at 11:00am at St. Mary of the Valley Catholic Church, 601 West Columbia Street, Monroe, WA 98272.
Memorials may be made to the Monroe Fire Department-Aid Car Fund.
Burt Kenneth Middendorf
Burt Kenneth Middendorf, age 93, was born May 13, 1911 to Henry and Christina Middendorf. He passed away July 27, 2004.
Burt was a life-long resident of Seattle and graduated from Ballard High School in 1929. Until the age of 40, he was a baseball pitcher in the semi-pro NW League. In 1989 Burt was inducted into the "Old Timers" Hall of Fame in Kitsap County. He retired from NW Bell in 1967.
Burt is survived by his beloved wife of 67 years, Sally and their loving children; Doug (Joan) Middendorf of Edmonds, WA, David (Joyce) Middendorf of Port Orchard, WA and Judith (Earl) Bacon of Edmonds, WA. Also surviving are seven grandchildren; Mike, Mark, Eric and Steve Middendorf, Julie Worthington, Travis and Troy Bacon, and Kelly Szabo; and five great-grandchildren; Max and Lane Middendorf, Jordan Worthington, Julian and Anna Marie Szabo, with one more on the way.
He was preceded in death by his siblings; and grandson, John Middendorf.

Charley R. Miller
Surrounded by his loving family, Charley left this life on July 25, 2004.
He is survived by his wife, Verna, two sons, Raymond (Sue) and Jason (Amy) Miller, three daughters, Charlene (Tim) Dulhanty, Angela (Steve) Isotalo, Tamara (Jeff) Stenman, eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
A memorial service to celebrate his life to be held at a later date.
Charley loved to fish in the Sound, now he's Heaven bound.
Elaine Clara Flatten
Elaine Clara Flatten, 85, born 15 January 1919, died 23 July 2004 in Omak, WA.
She was preceded in death by her husband Lloyd Flatten and brother Almore Christianson.
She is survived by her sister Lillian Arnold; her sons Steve and Brad Flatten; and her five grandchildren Molly, Katie, Erik, Brian and Jeff Flatten. She will be dearly missed by family and friends, and all backyard wildlife mourns her passing.
A Funeral Service is planned for 11:00am on August 4th at Trinity Lutheran Church, 6215 196th St. SW, Lynnwood, with a reception following.
