Kenneth Corbett Lindsay
Kenneth Corbett Lindsay, 77, died January 25, 2004 in Edmonds, WA after a seven year battle with cancer.
Ken was born October 13, 1927 in Toledo, OH. Ken met his wife Doris at Pasadena Junior College in 1944. They married in August 1945. Ken joined the Navy, and then began a long career as a wholesale distributor with Langendorf, Wrangler Sportswear, and Dare Foods. He retired in 1998 to travel, visit friends and family and do a little fishing.
Ken was preceded in death by his son, Keith.
He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Doris; brother Paul; daughter Janet (Roger); sons, Richard, Jim (Kristi), and Paul; grandchildren, Kristin (Richard), Jenny (Anthony), Kenny, Janine (Tim), Brianna, Kellan, and McKenna; and great grandson Jack.
A memorial service for Ken will be held at the Edmonds United Methodist Church, 828 Caspers St., Edmonds, WA at 1:00pm on Monday, February 2, 2004.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial to Multiple Myeloma Cancer Research or a favorite charity would be appreciated.

Kenneth LeeRoy Ervin, age 80, of Everett, WA, died January 28, 2004.

Marian J. Jones, 72, of Apache Junction, AZ, died January 18, 2004 in Mesa, AZ from cancer.

Michael Douglas Ourso
Michael Douglas Ourso was born on November 23, 1984 in Phoenix, AZ. He died suddenly in a tragic car accident on January 25, 2004 in Bothell, WA.
Visitation will be Wednesday, January 28, 2004 from 4:00-8:00pm at Evergreen Funeral Home, 4504 Broadway, Everett.

Mildred A. Bierman
Noted Local Author Passes
Mildred A. Bierman passed away peacefully at her home on January 27, 2004.
Mildred was a writer of novels and short stories. Her works appeared in The New York Times Outstanding Book List, and such publications as Woman's Day, Pacific Northwest and Alaska Magazines. She was also listed in Who's Who for American Women. Born in North Bend, OR to Ottie Z. Thornton and Ethel M. Call, she was the second child of a carpenter and entrepreneur. She grew up on a homestead in Oregon and married her childhood sweetheart, Charles H. Bierman in 1934. They moved to the present family home in Marysville in 1943. They celebrated 63 years of marriage before he passed away in 1997.
She is survived by her children, Vicki J. Senemar of Marysville, Dan C. Bierman and Colleen of the family home, granddaughter/daughter Cena Senemar-Tretola of New York, granddaughter Dana Storms of Snohomish, grandson Jason Bierman, U.S. Army-Iraq, great grandson Krystophur Senemar of Marysville and numerous great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at the family home on Saturday, January 31st from 2:00 until 4:00pm. Further information may be obtained by calling 425-737-2905.
Mildred L. Anderson
Mildred Anderson, 83, of LaMesa, CA went to be with her Lord on January 21, 2004.
Mildred was born August 23, 1920 in Arlington, WA.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Fridolf Anderson, and her brother, Frank Hunter.
She is survived by two daughters, four grandchildren and three sisters.
Her final resting place will be Everett, WA.
Yvonne Evedene Bundy
Yvonne Evedene Bundy, 74, of Everett, passed away unexpectedly surrounded by her family on January 23, 2004.
She was born January 11, 1930 in Devils Lake, ND. Yvonne and Benard moved to Everett with their children in 1962. Yvonne was employed by Providence Hospital where she continued to work for the past 38 years as a Unit Care Coordinator. She will be best remembered for her devotion to her family and the many friendships she nurtured during her lifetime.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Benard W. Bundy, in 1978.
She is survived by her six children, daughters, Paulette R. Ross of Stanwood, and Christine K. Mason (Scott) of Everett; sons, James B., Austin B., Robert J., and Alan K. of Everett; sister Harriet O'Brien and brother Nelson Darling, both of Arizona; 14 grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.
The family wishes to extend a special "Thank You" to Providence Everett Medical Center, Colby Campus for all their help and support.
The indoor Memorial Services will be held at Cypress Lawn, 1615 S.E. Everett Mall Way at 1:00pm on Friday, January 30th.
Audrey Arlene Coleman
Audrey Arlene Coleman, 93, passed away on January 27, 2004 in Edmonds, WA.
She was born on August 13, 1910 in Spokane, WA.
She is survived by six children, Douglas (Judy) Gray, David Gray, Anne (Ernie) Stahl, Judy (George) Willigar, Naomi (Jack) Cloer, and Bonnie (Curt) Frunz; 28 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; brother Kenneth Ogden; sister Marde Miller; and sister-in-law Margaret Ogden.
A Funeral Service will be held Monday, February 2, 2004 at 11:00am at Beck's Funeral Home, Edmonds, 425-771-1234, with Interment on Tuesday, February 3rd at 1:00pm at Chattaroy Cemetery in Chattaroy, WA.
Charles (Charlie) Edward VanRyck
Charlie VanRyck, 75, of Everett, WA, died January 27, 2004 at home with his family by his side.
Charlie was born in West Virginia on March 12, 1928. He worked for VandeKamps bakery for 27 years until an injury prevented him from continuing. He loved having friends in for parties; any occasion would do. Dancing was his passion and he perfected the swing; ladies would vie for the next dance and he could make anyone look good on the dance floor. Charlie loved his boat and the Puget Sound. He made a beautiful garden and pond for us all to sit and enjoy with him. Charlie was the most loving father to his children. When he married, his blended family grew by three more girls and three boys. He was an amazing father to all of his children.
He was preceded in death by his sister Joelore Karwoski; his brother Ted VanRyck; and his beloved stepson Robert Alongi.
He is survived by his mother, Loretta Barthel; his loving wife, Joyce VanRyck; his daughters, Yvette German, Rene Pearson, and Michelle Lippel (Lyle); his stepdaughters, Marilyn Alongi (Jack Goula), Diane Alongi, Gina Volken (Martin); and stepsons James Alongi and Tom Alongi (Darci). He will be greatly missed by his grandchildren, Cody, Alicia, Marissa, Erin, Ryan, Jared, Benjamin, Taylor, Andrea and Christina.
A memorial service will be held Monday, February 2, 2004 at 3:00pm at Purdy & Walters with Cassidy in Everett.

David B. Spraggins
David Spraggins, 53, of Everett, WA passed away January 28, 2004 in the comforting presence of his family and friends. His battle with cancer was short but his strength in spirit was a testimony to the way he lived his life.
David was born July 27, 1950 in Everett, and was a life-long resident. After graduating from Everett High School in 1968 he enlisted in the Navy. When he returned from his tour in Vietnam he married Valerie Johnson on October 31, 1970 and finished his Navy career in California. He was employed by Boeing and several local automotive dealers, the most recent being Lynnwood Honda and he enjoyed his daily contact with the people he worked with and the customers he served. He was a member of the faith community at Our Savior's Lutheran Church.
He had strong family values and was a proud father, supporting the many activities of his daughter Amy, his pride and joy. All who knew David were touched by his sense of humor and generous spirit. He loved to laugh and bring laughter to others. He will be remembered by all who knew him for his brave heart, great wit and for his wonderful smile. David found joy in all the people he loved and made easy connections with everyone he met.
David has enjoyed numerous activities through the years. He was fascinated with flying and earned his pilot's license after getting out of the Navy. He loved to drive and was at home on the water as well. When they were younger he and Valerie were active cross country skiers. He did many home improvement projects and took pride in their yard. He and Valerie were members of a gourmet dining group of friends who met regularly to share food and friendship. He also had a great love for music and attended local theater productions on a regular basis.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Valerie and daughter Amy of Everett; sister Patti Yasue of Auburn, niece Jennifer Dowell of Fife and grandniece, Zoe, also of Fife; mother-in-law Dorothy Johnson of Everett and sister-in-law, Olise Johnson of Everett; also, by best friends Mark and Susie Pickard and their children Katie, Philip and Stephen.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Lois Welch; father Norm Spraggins; sister Claudia Spraggins; step-father Irving Welch; and father-in-law Herbert Johnson.
The family would like to extend special thanks to the nurses and doctors at Providence Colby Medical Center for their loving care and attention during David's brief stay. Additional thanks also go out to their friends and caring neighborhood who have unselfishly supported and comforted David's family.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00pm on Tuesday, February 3, 2004 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, 215 Mukilteo Boulevard, Everett. Final inurnment will be at the columbarium at Our Savior's Lutheran Church.

David L. Fedje
David L. Fedje, age 60, of Mountlake Terrace, WA, passed away January 28, 2004 in Everett, WA.
David was born September 29, 1943 in Rugby, ND.
He is survived by his wife Mary A. Addleman-Fedje, and grandchildren, Erik A. Hargitt and Riley Ann Hargitt, all of the family home; three step children, Sonsearaye Deeds, Sean L. Hargitt, and Charles (Tony) A. Hargitt; three adult grandchildren, Scott Sheppard, Destiny Hargitt, and Michael Hargitt; his brother Richard Fedje; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 2nd from 12:00noon until 5:00pm in Beck's Funeral Home, 405-5th Ave. S., Edmonds, 425-771-1234, followed by a funeral service on Tuesday, February 3, 2004 at 11:00am in Trinity Lutheran Church, 6215-196th St. S.W., Lynnwood.

Edgar J. Roberts, Jr.
Edgar J. (Jim) Roberts, Jr., 53, of Seattle, WA, died January 26, 2004 after a long illness.
He was born on April 13, 1950 in Portland, OR.
He is survived by his wife, Susan J. Conn; his four children, William (Crystal) Roberts, Emily, Amber and James Roberts; and two granddaughters, Haylee and Ariel.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, February 1, at 1:30pm at the West Seattle Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, 4736 40th Ave. SW, Seattle, WA. (Directions at wsuu.org).

Alvin L. O'Neal
Alvin L. O'Neal passed away January 22, 2004.
He was born November 21, 1931 in Lamar, OK. Alvin served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He was employed as a police officer and a teacher before settling in as a real estate appraiser in Washington State for 25 years.
He traveled the United States to fulfill his wanderlust and visit family and historical sites, but he always returned to the Northwest because he never found another place more beautiful.
Al is survived by his son David; daughter Jennifer; daughter-in-law Gina; grandchildren, Ben, age 7, and Emma, 21 months; and family in Oklahoma and New Mexico.
He was preceded in death by his daughter Stephanie.
At his request, no services will be held.

Audrey A. (Granny) Ohm
Audrey A. (Granny) Ohm, passed January 27th at Moses Lake Samaritan Hospital surrounded by loved ones. She fought lung cancer for 2 years and finally lost the battle due to complications of pneumonia.
She was born June 6, in Whitebird, ID to Oscar and Lucile (Wellman) Hieter. She married Wayne Lionel Ohm in 1943.
She leaves a daughter, Lucile (Luckie) Ohm Cobb, Kass Roblee (whom was like a daughter to her), 3 grandchildren, 6 1/2 great-grandchildren, 2 sisters, Oria, Christy and Gene Hagenaars, several nieces and nephews and lots of special friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, twin brother Arthur, sisters Alice, Elvie and Donna.
She loved and fostered many children. She loved walking 5-10 miles daily, no matter the weather.
Granny, you will be missed.
A gathering of family and friends to be held at the Eagles in Snohomish on February 15th at 1pm.
