Margaret A. LeDuc, age 92, passed away Friday, November 14, 2003 in Everett, WA.

A private family service will be held. Arrangements by Evergreen Funeral Home.

Marian M. Spjut

May 3, 1925 - Nov. 11, 2003
Marian M. Spjut left peacefully surrounded by family and extended family members.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Clifford A. Spjut, Sr.

Marian is survived by her daughter, Patti (Gerold) Franke; sons, Walter, Clifford (Christa), Stephen, Eric (Kim); 12 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

The world will be an emptier place missing this woman of love.

Marven Theodorson

Marven Theodorson, age 90, of Everett, died on November 14, 2003.

He retired from Scott Paper Company after many years of service. He was an avid fisherman, especially at Hope Island.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, Rose Theodorson.

No services will be held. Arrangements are under the care of Solie Funeral Home and Crematory.

Peggy Twitchell

Peggy Twitchell, age 76, passed away on October 20, 2003 of congested heart failure.

She was a longtime resident of Snohomish and Tonasket. She worked many years at Jansport in Everett where she made many friends.

She is survived by her three children; grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Family and friends will remember her at a memorial to be held at the residence of Chris Mull, 715 89th St. SW, Everett on November 22, 2003 at 1:00pm.

We will miss her and may be rest in the arms of Jesus.

Rae Irene Hubert

Rae Irene Hubert, 87, of Everett, WA, left us on November 10, 2003.

A memorial service will be held at Monday November 17th at 3:00pm at Purdy & Walters with Cassidy.

Reindina (Dina) Johanna Bartholomeus

Dina died peacefully at the age of 94 in Marysville, WA on November 11, 2003.

She was born Reindina Johanna Hein on November 3, 1909 in Doetinchem, The Netherlands.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Bernardus (Bart) Bartholomeus; two sons, Fred and Ben; and granddaughter Bernadette.

She is survived by her eldest son, Johannes (Joh) and Henny Bartholomeus of Marysville and daughter-in-law Louise Bartholomeus of Middleton, ID; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren. Dina also leaves behind three sisters and a brother in the Netherlands.

The memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2003 at 11:00am at the Cascade Christian Reformed Church, 13908 51st Avenue N.E., Marysville, WA.

Robert Eugene Peterson

November 14, 2003, Robert Eugene Peterson, 67, went home to be with his Lord after a battle with cancer. He was born October 9, 1936 to Arthur and Edith Peterson in Arlington, WA.

He leaves his wife, Joy (Hutton) Peterson who was the "Joy" of his life for 50 years. He also leaves their three children, sons; Curtis (Manon) Peterson of Granite Falls, Randy (Kim) Peterson of Arlington and daughter, Ilene Wiersma of Central Point, OR. He also leaves, 14 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Bob also is survived by sister, Eloise VanRy of Oso, WA, and preceded in death by his parents and brothers; Charles and Wayne Peterson.

Bob and Joy started their married life in 1954 in Arlington. Together they enjoyed many close friends, traveling, fishing and hunting. He has left a legacy of great memories.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, November 22, 2003 at Arlington Assembly of God Church.

Robert "Sed" Dennison

Robert "Sed" Dennison, passed away peacefully at home at the age of 87 on November 6, 2003. Born in Los Angeles, CA and raised on a ranch in the upper Ojai Valley. Worked for Bank of America until he was drafted into the Army in 1941. He served proudly in Assam, China, Burma and India Theater in WWII. Was called back for the Korean Conflict. In 1953, was discharged and began his salesman career in footware and affectionately known as "The Shoe Dog" by friends and family. Over 30 years he worked for six major shoe manufacturers and belonged to the NW Shoe Travelers Assn.

In 1943, he married Betty Barnstable with whom he had three children, Robert Dennison Jr., Richard L. Dennison, and Denise J. Peterson. In 1977 he married his present wife Betty, and became a loving stepfather to her three children, Kathy Crosby, Nina Runge and Rob Bargewell.

He was a fun-loving Grandpa to ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Sadly, he is preceded in death by his son, Richard.

He loved his family dearly and was proud to serve his country.

We all miss his captivating charm and tremendous gift of story-telling. He was loved and respected by so many.

Please join us to celebrate his life and bid a farewell at a memorial service in his honor at Calvary Community Church, 15116 Gary St., Sumner, WA. Donations can be made to American Cancer Society.

Arne J. Waltari

Arne J. Waltari, 86, of Edmonds and Wenatchee, WA, died November 15, 2003 in Wenatchee.

He was born in Vandala, MT on January 5, 1917 to Matt and Elizabeth Waltari. At age two he moved to North Dakota where he attended school. He married Vieno Halone on January 12, 1938 in Rolla, ND. There they farmed until 1959 when they moved to Washington. He married Sevia Huston on June 28, 1981 in Seattle, WA. They resided in Sun City, AZ for four years returning to Edmonds, WA. Arne was a member of Aposalic Lutheran Church of Seattle.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Vieno Walteri; two sons Rodney and Richard Waltari; and an infant daughter.

Survivors include wife Sevia; son Arne Rudolph (Margaret) Waltari of Anacortes, WA; daughters, Joan (John) Hefter and Diane Burger of Wenatchee, WA; step daughter Cheryl Huston of Minneapolis, MN; grandchildren, Brad Hefter, Alan (Angela) Hefter, Carla Skirvin, all of Palmdale, CA, Debra (Jeff) Engley of Vancouver, WA, Julie Walteri, Susan (Jeff) Wagner, both of Bothell, WA, and Aaron and Kristi Burger of Wenatchee, WA; 11 great grandchildren; sister Bertha Lipke of Somerset, KY; sister-in-law Kathleen Waltari of Kirkland, WA; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 19, 2003 at 10:00am at Purdy & Walters of Lynnwood (Floral Hills Cemetery).

Dennis Craig Wood

Dennis Craig Wood, 63, of Lynnwood, passed peacefully at home into his next life on November 15, 2003.

He was born May 20, 1940 in Fosston, MN to Irving and Frances Wood. Dennis retired from Ingersoll Rand in 2002.

He is survived by his wife, Ellen; daughter, Heather (Jeff) Klein; son, Craig Wood; two grandchildren, Heidi and Anton Klein; and sister, Betty DuRand of Frederick, MD.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Darrell; and sister, Beverly.

The Funeral Service will be Tuesday, November 18, 2003 at 2:00pm at Beck's Funeral Home, 405 5th Ave. S., Edmonds, WA. 425-771-1234. Burial will be at Tahoma National Cemetery, Kent.

Memorials may be made in his name to the American Cancer Society.

Dorothy Geneva Stephenson

Dorothy passed away on November 16, 2003 after a lengthy illness.

She was born in Waynesville, NC on March 29, 1921 and has resided in Snohomish County since 1941.

She is survived by her granddaughters, Fawn Smith and Kimberly Baumgartner and her husband Steve; her sister Judy Swanson; great grandchildren, Jessica Baumgartner and Kyle Baumgartner; sisters-in-law, Emma Wright and Martha Anderson; brothers-in-law, Eric Swanson, Fred Stephenson, and Gary Anderson; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William Horace and Lula Wright; husbands, Cornell Clark and Richard Stephenson; daughter Jean Smith; four sisters; and three brothers.

She was a member of the Snohomish Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star for over 30 years.

Special thanks to Madeleine Villa Health Care Center for their loving care.

A Memorial Service will be held at Bauer Funeral Home in Snohomish on Saturday, November 22nd at 3:00pm. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 12:00noon until 5:00pm and Wednesday from 9:00am until 5:00pm.

Dr. John Allan McClintock

June 25, 1933 - Nov. 15, 2003

Devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, Dr. John McClintock (Doc) went to be with our Lord Saturday, November 15, 2003 after a short struggle with lung cancer.

Born and raised in Carroll, IA, Doc earned his B.S. at the University of Iowa, and his Doctorate of Optometry at the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago. From 1958 to 1962, he served in the army and was a Korean War veteran as First Lieutenant. He moved to Snohomish in 1964 when he opened his optometry practice and worked there for 31 years until his retirement in 1995. Snohomish is where he raised his family. For the last 16 years he was Fire Commissioner for the Snohomish County Fire Department, District Four. Doc was a greeter and active member of Coal Creek Chapel in Bellevue.

As with all things in his life, Doc never complained or thought of himself, even in his last days. He is remembered for his strong faith and love of the Lord, and for generously helping those he loved or people in need. He was passionate in everything he did and worked hard to achieve his goals. He was loyal to his family and friends and is known for fighting for his convictions. As Fire Commissioner, he always realized his first loyalty was to the District Four taxpayers. He was their courageous champion and never lost sight of the fact that he was a servant of the people.

Doc demonstrated his love for his family and his grandchildren who held a special place in his heart. He is survived by Lorrie his beloved wife and partner of 17 years; his sons, Craig (and wife Suzette) of Woodinville, and Kelly (and wife Mikal) of Marysville; his daughter Carrie (and husband Brent) Ludwigson of Boise, ID; his stepdaughter Annmarie (and husband Chuck) Guedel of Mercer Island; stepson Jason Whitwam of Boston, MA; and nine beautiful grandchildren, Carly and Zachary McClintock, Makayla, Karyssa, and Alexa McClintock, Alex and Abby Ludwigson, and Megan and Jacob Guedel.

A celebration of his life will be held Thursday, November 20th at 7:00pm at Coal Creek Chapel in Bellevue, 14615 SE 22nd Street.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests remembrances be made to World Vision, PO Box 9716, Federal Way, WA 98063-9716.

Arrangements under the care of Bauer Funeral Home, Snohomish.

Edith Mae Guisinger

Edith Mae Guisinger, age 92, of Everett, WA, died on November 14, 2003.

Edith is survived by her nieces and their husbands, Ken and Dene Phillips of Everett, WA, Ken and Jackie Richards of Auburn, WA, and Rick and Marti Davis of Gold Bar, WA.

A time of visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 19th from 10:00 until 12:00noon at Solie Funeral Home, 3301 Colby Ave., Everett. Interment will be at Lakewood Memorial Park, Modesto, CA.

Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Snohomish County.

Elmina Elizabeth Jennejohn

Elmina Elizabeth Jennejohn passed away at Regency Care Center of Arlington on Saturday, November 15, 2003.

She was born to Edmon and Elizabeth Fuller on July 17, 1917 in Sterling, NY. Elmina graduated from Hannibal High School in June of 1935 and went on to graduate from Central City Business School in Syracuse, NY in August of 1936. In 1939 Elmina married Walter Budd and they had one son, Gerald Budd. After being widowed Elmina married Theodore Jennejohn in 1969. After he passed away, she spent the rest of her years alone.

Elmina was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Laurence and Leon Fullter.

She leaves behind son Gerald Budd of Seattle, WA; a sister-in-law Virginia Fuller of Sacramento, CA; nieces and nephews; and many friends.

Memorial Services are scheduled for Saturday, November 22, 2003 at Messiah Lutheran Church at 9209 State Street, Marysville, WA at 1:00pm.

Irma Karin Egge

Karin Egge, 66, of Everett, WA passed away the morning of November 14, 2003.

Karin was born in Seattle on June 3, 1937. Karin was the only daughter of Swedish immigrants, Karl Oscar and Mae Svea (Majja) Fritzberg. As a young woman, Karin attended Washington State University. Karin was a member of Children's Orthopedic Hospital Guild and Job's Daughters.

Karin is survived by her loving husband Erling, of 43 years; daughters, Laurie Egge, Majja Roberts, Lisa (Clark) Palmer; grandchildren; Michelle (Jon) Conner, Christopher, Michael, Curtis, Marcus and Dakota Roberts, Briana and Madison Palmer; great grandchildren, Kayla and Savannah Conner, Chelsea and Haillee Roberts; sisters-in-law, Elsa Weber and Sidra Egge; brothers-in-law, James Weber and Larry Egge; nieces, Sally (Lonnie) Weber-Roughton, Julie (John) Bielser Leah and Kristie Egge; nephew, James (Lynn) Weber.

In addition to being a loving wife, mother and grandmother, Karin was a truly beautiful person and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

A memorial will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, November 22nd at Solie Funeral Home. Graveside to follow at Cypress Lawn Memorial Park.

Robert "Bob" Carlson, 72, passed away at home on November 13, 2003.

He was born November 6, 1931 to Clarence W. and Edith M. Carlson in Everett, WA. He graduated from the University of Washington with a Degree in Forestry. He served his country as a Marine during the Korean Conflict. He loved the outdoors, his garden, war movies, and John Wayne.

He leaves his wife Patsylee of Everett; his children, Maggie Malick and her husband, Mark, of Purcellville, VA; Karen Mercer and her husband, Stuart of Elkton, VA; Alice Carlson of Florissant, CO; Robert "Bob" Jr. and his wife, Julie of Johannesburg, South Africa; stepchildren, Joni Bridge and her husband Bill of Granite Falls, WA; Terri Carlson of Marysville, WA; Cathi Iweriebor of Big League, TX; Michael Carlson of Everett, WA; 18 Grandchildren; brothers, Jim and his wife, Carol of Issaquah, WA; Wendell and his wife, Bev of Goldbar, WA; sister, Margaret Herder and her husband, Pete of Portland, OR; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Howard; and "Rufus".

No Services will be held at his request.
