Helen M. Graf
Helen M. Graf, 96, loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and beloved friend passed away peacefully in her sleep on October 2, 2003.
Helen was born June 17, 1907 in West Seattle, graduated from West Seattle HS and WSU in 1931. She married Philip Graf in 1932 and received her Masters of Religious Education from Berkeley Baptist Divinity School in 1935. Her husband Rev. Philip Graf preceded her in death.
She is survived by her son Ronnie Graf; daughter Phyllis (Sam) Oshikawa; granddaughters Suzanne (Timo) Norring and Sara (Kevin) Oshikawa-Clay; and great grandson Alexander Philip Norring.
Helen and Phil dedicated their lives to serving others through parish ministry with American Baptist Churches primarily in the Northwest. Helen will be missed for her spunky spirit and friendliness.
Memorial Services will be held on Saturday October 11, 2003 at 1:00pm at First Baptist Church of Mountlake Terrace.

Jeannine Mae Moore
Nov. 29, 1930 - Oct. 4, 2003
Jeannine's dear, sweet, tender soul deeply touched the lives of so very many. Her sparkling smiles, her hugs and her humor will live on forever in our hearts.
A memorial service and a celebration of life has been planned for Sunday, October 12th. Please contact her family for time and location.

Lucille C. Travis
Lucille C. Travis, of Lynnwood, WA, was taken by the angels to be with her Lord on October 6, 2003.
She was 85. A native of Fordyce, AR, Mrs. Travis enjoyed gardening, canning, traveling, and most of all, spending time with her cherished family.
She is survived by her son Jim Travis; daughters, Margie (Fred) Nitschke, Barbara (David) Christenson, Patty Belmont, and Pauline Dugan; sisters, Pauline Walker and Elzie Stover; grandchildren, Angela, David, Chip, Patrick, Maria, Travis, Aaron, Nathan, Susan, DJ, Ben, James, Carley; great grandchildren, Cole, Nichole, Shannon S., Justin, Lindsey, Shayla, Kelsey, Jordan, Jacob, Shannon F., Lauren, Allysa, Jaclyn, Kaden, Haley, and Kayla; and great great grandchildren, Damon and Ashlyn.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Myron Travis, in 1985.
The Graveside Service will be held Saturday, October 11, 2003 at 1:00pm at Floral Hills Cemetery, 409 Filbert Road, Lynnwood.

Marie Theodora Roybal
Our mother Marie Theodore Roybal joined our father in Heaven on October 7, 2003.
Jesus Christ welcomed her with "Well Done Thy Good and Faithful Servant". We rejoice with the angels at her homecoming. She fulfilled her highest calling to be a Godly Mother. Although we will miss her in this life, we will carry her legacy through all the generations to come.
Dora is survived by her 10 children, Irene Nickel, Charles Roybal, Genevieve Davis, Theodore Roybal, Fedelina Deaguero, Eve Van Ry, Della Yue, Vera Butler, Ruth Miller, and Linda Belzer; 25 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; and five great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 10th from 10:00am until 5:00pm and on Saturday, October 11th from 9:00am until the time of the funeral service, which will be at 11:00am, at Purdy & Walters at Floral Hills.
Memorials may be made to the Care Net Program of Bethany Christian Assembly, Everett.

Morrine Bradford, 59, of Lakewood, WA, passed away on October 6, 2003 at a local hospital.

Olive Kathryn Maurstad
Olive Kathyrn Maurstad ,passed away peacefully on October 6, 2003 at Regency Care Center in Arlington with her family nearby. Olive was born on Happy Valley in Silvana on November 2, 1922 to Mabel and Martin Stensen.
A graveside service will be held Friday, October 10, 2003 at 3:30 PM at Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Silvana followed by a memorial service at Peace Lutheran Church at 4:00 PM.
Visitation: Thursday 10- 8:00PM at Weller Funeral Home.

Oscar Alfred Klepper
Oscar Alfred Klepper, 83, passed away October 6, 2003 at the Ferry Memorial Hospital in Republic, WA. He was born in Muskatine, IA on May 12, 1920.
Came to Everett at the age of two, attended Everett Schools and graduated from Everett High School, Class of 1940. He attended and enjoyed all of his class reunions. He was in the National Guard, Company L, 161st Infantry, honorably discharged October 10, 1941. When World War II began, he joined the U.S. Navy, honorably discharged in 1945. Upon his return to Everett, he worked for Everett Pulp and Paper 27 years. Upon their closure, he then worked nine years for the Everett General Hospital, retiring in 1986. In 2001 he and his wife Delores, moved to Republic, WA.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Delores; his son, Jim (Judy) Klepper of Republic; daughter Ester (John) Harman of Alaska; grandsons, Brandon (Christina) Klepper of Granite Falls, Ed Klepper of Lake Stevens; granddaughter, Shannon Klepper of Republic; two great grandsons, Johnathon and Dylan; brothers, Erwin Klepper and wife of Everett and Carl Balke and wife of Shoreline; and two nephews and one niece.
He was preceded in death by his son, Tim Klepper.
At his request, no services will be held.
Pauline Wells
Pauline Wells, died in Tucson, AZ on September 27, 2003.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Schaefer-Shipman Funeral Home in Marysville on October 11th at 11:00am, with the Rev. Allan Love officiating.
Richard Darin (R.D.) Collins
Richard Darin (R.D.) Collins, 43, passed away on October 6, 2003 as a result of injuries sustained in an accident.
He is survived by his son, Jack Collins and wife Barb Collins of Snohomish; father and mother, Richard and Judy Collins; brothers, Doug and wife Lori, Devin and wife Mickey; sister, Chris-Anne and husband Phil Gebauer; grandmothers, Elsie Collins and Minnie Brown, all of the Kansas City, MO area.
He will be remembered as an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed snowboarding with his son, fishing, camping, hiking and motorcycling with friends and family. As a craftsman, his skills in the drywall industry were highly respected.
Memorial Services will be held at Bauer Funeral Chapel, 701 1st Street, Snohomish on Friday, October 10, 2003 at 2:00pm.
Robert P. Guild
Robert Patterson Guild, "Bob", age 63, passed away on October 5, 2003 in Everett, WA at Providence General Hospital-Colby Campus of heart failure.
He was born on October 23, 1939 in Everett to parents, LeGrand H. Guild and Mary (Patterson) Guild. Bob graduated from Snohomish High School in 1958 and attended George Washington University, Washington, D.C. where he joined Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity. He worked for King County Solid Waste Division, Seattle, WA for 20 years. He was a lifelong resident of Snohomish and also St. John's Episcopal Church; he belonged to Snohomish County Democrats; and four Masonic organizations, Blue Lodge (Centennial), Royal Arch, Scottish Rite, and York Rite.
He is survived by his sister, Mary Lee (Jim) Tucker of Everett; Baird Bryson and family of Las Vegas, NV; and numerous other cousins.
He loved people and conversing with people and will be missed.
Memorial Services will be held at St. John's Episcopal Church, 913 2nd St., Snohomish, WA on October 11, 2003 at 2:00pm, with Father Mark Miller officiating. Visitation is scheduled at Purdy & Dawson Funeral Home, 131 Cedar Ave., Snohomish on October 11th from 12:00noon until 2:00pm. Graveside Services and Burial will be in Heppner, OR Masonic Cemetery.
Memorials may be given to St. John's Episcopal Church, American Diabetes Association or The American Heart Association.

Stanley Harding Valandra
Stanley Harding Valandra, of Port Susan, died October 8th after a lengthy battle with cancer. He was 82.
Born, June 16, 1921 in Rosebud, SD, he was a member of the Rosebud Sioux Tribe. He was proud of his Indian name, He Dog.
Stan served with honor as a Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Army in World War II, earning a Bronze Star for efforts in the Philippines.
Most important, those who knew him will remember Stan as a gentle man who took care of his family, nurtured his friends and honored all of the communities in which he lived.
Stan enjoyed traveling with his wife, Helen, across the country in their motorhome and spending winters in Yuma, AZ.
He was also a big fan of Western movies, eating fresh fish and tooling around on the Internet.
Stan's first wife, Irene Louise Berrier, died in 1993.
Besides his current wife, he is survived by a daughter, Denise Nack of Parker, CO; two sons, David of Spokane and his wife Karen; and Steve of Tumwater and his wife Helena; a brother, Nephi, and a sister, Louise; his grandchildren Kristi, Connie, Dakota, Kira, Nikki, Kara, Vonna, Wayne and Rechelle; a great-grandchild, Charles, Helen's sons, Bill and Ken; and many other relatives.
A funeral service will be at held 1 p.m., October 11th, at Evergreen Funeral Home, 4504 Broadway. Viewing will be from 9 a.m. - 12:45 p.m. A military burial will be a 10:30 a.m., October 14th at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent.
He Dog would appreciate any memorial donations be made to: Porcupine Clinic, PO Box 275, Porcupine, SD 57772. This is a health clinic on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation that provides free care.
Stanton Ellis
Stanton Ellis, 78, of Marysville, WA passed away October 2, 2003.
He was born in Los Angeles, CA to Kimpton and Verle Ellis and was a longtime resident of Marysville.
He is survived by his niece Cynthia Ellis of Virginia and his long time friend, Paul Johnson, and Paul's family, all of Marysville.
Funeral services have been entrusted to Purdy & Walters with Cassidy and will be private.
Tine Moore
Tine Moore, 76, of Marysville, WA, went peacefully to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, October 4, 2003.
She was born May 9, 1927 in Haarlemmermeer, Holland. Tine, Alex, and son emigrated from Holland to California in 1950. Ten years later, the family moved to their dairy farm in Silvana, WA. Tine was a Charter member of Cascade Christian Reformed Church, an active participant of Bible Study fellowship and the Mission Society of her church.
Tine was known for her hospitality and creative ability. She was able to create lasting memories and heirlooms, which her family and friends will cherish for many years to come. Tine's life was devoted to her faith, family, and friends.
She leaves her children, Fred Moore, Wilma Schunke, and Trudy Van Klaveren; 11 grandchildren; three precious great grandchildren; and her brothers, Gys and Tys Reurekas of Hoofddorp, Holland.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Evert and Truitje Reurekas; her husband Alex; and her daughter Shirley Winter.
A celebration of her life will be held at Cascade Christian Reformed Church in Marysville on Thursday, October 9th at 10:00am. Viewing will be held at Weller Funeral Home in Arlington on October 8th from 9:00am until 5:00pm.
Memorial contributions may be given in Tine's memory to CRWRC-Christian Reformed World Relief Concern.
Service and arrangements are under the direction of Weller Funeral Home, Arlington. A private burial will be held at Valley View Cemetery in Silvana, which overlooks their farm. Tine will be laid to rest beside her lifetime partner and loving friend, Alex Moore.
William E. Ryals
William E. Ryals, age 96, died October 6, 2003 in Everett, WA.
He is survived by his sister Ruby Hawkins of Laramie, WY; brother Eldon of Everett; sister Opal Frazer of Wenatchee, WA; and numerous nieces and nephews.
William loved to fish with his brother and nephews for salmon and steelhead. He had worked construction, in the mills, and retired from Weyerhaeuser.
No services at his request. Inurnment will be at Floral Hills Cemetery, Lynnwood, WA.
Dorothy V. Tedrick
Our beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and friend, 76 years young, Dorothy was born June 27, 1927, and she went to her Lord and Master, Jesus Christ, on October 2, 2003.
Dorothy was married to Emery Tedrick who preceded her in death in April 2000.
Dorothy is survived by her children, Tom Agnew of Palm Springs, CA, Karen Agnew of Spokane, WA, and Jan Larsen of Issaquah, WA; Emery's children, Jim Tedrick of Des Moines, WA, John Tedrick of Des Moines, WA, and Susan Mott of Bonnie Lake, WA; 12 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Dorothy was born in New Ulm, MN and moved to the Seattle area in 1959. She has been a member of the Everett community for the past 13 years. She attended Eastside Baptist Church in Kirkland, WA and was active in her local neighborhood community. Dorothy owned and operated the Edmonds Salon in Firdale Village until she fell ill in September 2003. Dorothy dedicated her life, her work and her family to the Lord and was an inspiration to those who knew her. She truly lived out her Christian beliefs and was an ever-present source of love, support and help to her family and to those in need.
Services celebrating Dorothy's life will be held on Tuesday, October 7, 2003 at 1:00pm at Purdy and Walters at Floral Hills, 409 Filbert Rd, Lynwood, WA. (425-672-1800). Interment will be with her husband, Emery at Enumclaw Evergreen Memorial Park.

Emil A. Peterson, 80, of Marysville, WA, died October 1, 2003.

Lillian B (Short) Gaffney, 78, of Everett, WA passed away peacefully at home on October 3, 2003 after an extended illness.

Agnes Carmel DiMeglio Rockstad "Rocky"
Agnes Carmela DiMeglio Rockstad, 83, our beloved Mother, Grandmother, Aunt, and friend, went home to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, August 19, 2003. She went to sleep in the arms of Jesus, 18 years and 10 days after her husband, Albert John Rockstad. They are now both at peace with the Lord.
Agnes was born to Joseph and Louisa DiMeglio of Ischia, Italy on January 21, 1920. Being the youngest of a very large family, she was called "Baby Aggie" as a child. She was raised in New York City. After high school she attended business college and worked as a secretary for the Civil Service in New York until she moved with some of her family by train to San Pedro, CA. In 1946 she met the love of her life. Albert and Agnes were married September 1, of 1947. They moved to Everett, WA and lived in the house Albert's father built at 2125 Cedar St. until 1957 when they moved to East Everett in the Lake Stevens area.
It was in the nursing profession where she obtained the nick name of "Rocky." Rocky loved nursing and caring for others. She retired from Providence Hospital in 1985.
Besides her love of family, and nursing, Rocky had a passion for reading, dancing, gardening, canning, cooking, and especially ceramics. She spent countless hours with her special friend Katie Myers in creating loving memories of beautiful creations for her family and friends. She took great pleasure and joy in loving and watching her children and grandchildren grow. Rocky will always be remembered for her wonderful smile, giving heart and generous kind spirit.
She leaves her loving family: her three daughters, Louise Kuyper (David) of Monroe, WA, Jeannette Anderson (Jerry) of Arlington, WA, and Roxie Lee Rockstad of Bellevue, NE; her granddaughters, Gina Ogle (Tim) of Bellevue, NE, and Leah Kuyper of Monroe; her grandsons, Samuel Kuyper of Sanda Shi, Japan (and fiancee Hiroko Kajinawa), and Albert Christensen of Indianapolis, IN; her great-granddaughters Tiffany Ogle of Bellevue, NE and Casey Christensen, of Seattle, WA; great grandson, Kevin Christensen of Seattle; a special niece, Louise (George) Howe of Alta, Loma, CA; as well as several other loving nieces and nephews. Rocky also leaves a surrogate daughter, RN Mary Blackert who loved her like a mom.
The family wishes to thank the wonderful staff of Forest View Transitional Health Center, especially the second floor team, for their loving care of our mother and grandmother.
Visitation will be Thursday and Friday September, 4th and 5th from 9:00am to 5:00pm and Saturday September 6th from 9:00am to 10:00am. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, September 6th at 11:00am at Cypress Lawn Memorial Park in Everett. A celebration of Rocky's life will follow at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 9613 20th ST SE, Everett, WA 98205.
