A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, April 12, at Solie Funeral Home Chapel, 3301 Colby Avenue, Everett. Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday at Solie Funeral Home.
Anna Alma Rigby
Anna Rigby, 91 years of age, went to be with her Lord and Savior on August 15, 2003. She passed away peacefully at home, in Monroe, WA with her family by her side, of a failing heart.
Anna was born in Okanogan, WA on April 26, 1912, to Loretta and James Graves. She so enjoyed her chuch family at Monroe Seventh Day Adventist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ralph, seven sisters and three brothers.
She is survived by many nieces, nephews and friends who loved her dearly.
Graveside services will be held Monday, August 25, 2003, at 11:00 a.m. at the Old Redmond Cemetery in Redmond, WA. The family invites you to a fellowship potluck, following the service, at 12:30 p.m. for a "Celebration of Life", located at Faith Assembly in Monroe.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Monroe Seventh Day Adventist Church.
Harold Elmer Madsen
Harold Madsen, age 86, of Marysville, passed away on Thursday, July 31, 2003.
A Memorial Service is scheduled for Thursday, August 21, 2003 from 1:00 until 3:00 p.m. at the Everett Golf and Country Club.

Helen Fern Heinis Smith
Helen F. Smith was born on August 20, 1916 in Morris, MN and died at her home in Marysville, WA on August 17, 2003. She was 87.
Helen is survived by her three loving and dedicated sons, Gary (wife Mary Lou) of Lacey, Richard (wife Christine Yorozu) of Seattle, and Steven (wife Claudia) of Marysville; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; sisters, Pearl Frangenberg and Edith Sand of Marcus, Iowa, and June Davis of Sutherland, Iowa; brother Lyle Heinis and sister Dorothy Wetherell of Peterson, Iowa; and many nieces and nephews.
Her husband, Orval E. Smith, predeceased her in 1996. Her parents, Ambrose and Elizabeth Heinis, her brother, Ralph and her sister, Myrtle also predeceased her.
Helen's career as a beautician spanned 30 years. She worked throughout the Everett-Marysville area and retired from the Razor's Edge in 1996.
A memorial service is planned for Thursday, August 21, 2003 at 2:30 p.m. at the Schaefer-Shipman Funeral Home, in Marysville.
Donations in Helen Smith's name may be made to the American Heart Association or your favorite charity.
Helen K. Burnett
Helen K. Burnett, born February 22, 1911 to Arthur W. and Florence C. Jones, in Tumwater, WA, passed away August 18, 2003.
Helen is survived by daughter, Barb Vosburgh of Everett; sister, Ida Johnson of Shelton; nephews, Ron (Cynthia) Johnson, Arlan (HyeSook) Johnson, Casey and Tim Jones; nieces, Linda (Ron) Porter, Irma (Lester O'Brien) Harris, Caroline Jones; sister-in-law, Ada Jones. She is also survived by numerous extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by husband, L. Edward Burnett, as well as son, Robert W. Burnett.
Special thanks to the staff of Everett Care & Rehab these past few months for their loving care and support.

Edna Mae Bridgman
Edna Mae Bridgman, born to Selmar and Bess Markham on May 10, 1911 in Alger, WA, graduated from this life into the arms of her Heavenly Father on August 16, 2003 while living at the Adult Family Home, "Home with Joy", where she received loving care.
She was raised in Lyman, WA. She married Rev. Henry D. (Pat) Bridgman on January 12, 1932. They pastored Assembly of God churches in Hayden lake, ID, and Lyman, Silverdale and Darrington, WA. She and her husband were on Staff at Northwest College in Kirkland for several years before retiring in 1983 to the Hollyhills area of Bothell.
Edna was preceded in death by her husband in 1991 and her son, Gary, in 1999.
She is survived by her daughter, Rev. Patricia Beresford and her husband, Lou; daughter-in-law Gerry Bridgman of Mercer Island; five grandchildren, Rev. Michael Beresford of Asheville, NC, Rev. Marvin Beresford of Hebron, KY, Marisa Carew of Woodinville, WA, James Bridgman of Tacoma, WA, and Robin Neubuam, of Camas, WA; 16 great grandchildren; and numerous friends.
She loved doing various kinds of crafts, especially crocheting, cooking, and entertaining. She served her God and her family well.
She leaves a legacy of love, the importance of family, of loyalty, honor, humor and hard work and most of all, she taught and lived her faith as an example for her family.
A celebration of Edna's life will be held on Thursday, August 21st at 10:00 a.m. at Eastside Foursquare Church, 14520 100th Ave. NE, Bothell, WA. Graveside at Darrington Cemetery in Darrrington, WA at 3:00 p.m.

Carl R. Moodie
Carl R. Moodie, 94, of Everett, passed away Friday, August 8, 2003.
He was born, January 27, 1909 in Farmington, IA. He headed west upon graduation from high school working on farms. He operated a logging business in Raymond, WA and moved it to Myrtle Creek, OR where he also helped establish their Elks Lodge. He was extremely proud to hold the #1 membership card. He was also a member of the Eagles and Teamsters.
Carl is survived by his wife of 25 years, Colleen, three daughters; Carol (Wayne) Lively of Everett, Nancy (Joe) Held of Auburn, Patty (Bob) Warner of Mt. Vernon, one son; Leslie (Kathy) Whitehead of Burlington, two sisters; Norma Lutz of Donaldson, IA and Hazel Fisher of Ottumwa, IA, 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Josephine Moodie, sisters; Eloise and Ruth, brothers; Hugh and Joe, daughter; Betty Bartley.
Friends are invited to fellowship and share memories from 1:00-3:00 pm at the family home, 2114 - 120th PL SE, this Saturday, August 23rd.
David A. Johnson
David A. Johnson, 66, of Everett, WA passed away on August 12, 2003.
He was born on April 22, 1937 in Everett to Arthur and Leontine (Schonmaker) Johnson. He attended local schools, graduating from Everett High School in 1955 and Everett Community College in 1972. In between schooling he was in the United States Navy. After graduating from College he was a City of Everett Police Officer before retiring for medical reasons in 1973. He enjoyed traveling, golfing and football.
He is survived by his mother Leontine of Everett; daughter Theresa of Indianapolis; brothers, Richard (Joanna) of Everett and Edwin (Billie) of Harstein Island; and one grandchild.
Besides his father he was preceded in death by his daughter Pamela Johnson.
There will be a Memorial Service on Saturday, August 23, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. at Purdy & Walters with Cassidy Funeral Home in Everett, WA.
Ernest Brian Botting
Ernest Brian Botting (Ernie), age 54, of Sultan, Washington passed away April 8, 2001 at home after a long battle with cancer.
He was born on April 24, 1946 in Seattle.
Ernie is survived by his wife of 32 years, Janie Suppes Botting; son Scott Botting; daughter Tiffany Morehouse; son-in-law Robert Morehouse; granddaughters Ashley and Morgan Morehouse; his mother Helen Carol Botting; brothers Neil and Pete Botting and numerous relatives and friends.
His father, William Alfred Botting, preceded him in death.
Ernie grew up in Bothell, moving to Sultan in 1958 with his family. Upon graduation from Sultan High School, he served four years in the U.S. Army, serving in both Germany and Vietnam. His career followed the path of his father, joining Local 32, serving an apprenticeship and working in the trade for many years. Ernie supervised several of the major projects in the Seattle area.
Ernie moved his family to Billings, Mont. in 1975, where he opened his own business. He had a love for cars and this was easily seen in the custom street rods that he enjoyed building. While residing in Montana he was an avid member of the local street rod association and organized several of the local car shows. Ernie also served as a judge with recognition at car shows nationally. Other interests included hunting, fishing, golfing and traveling with his family.
In 1988 Ernie returned to the family farm in Sultan where he grew up. Ernie's love for his famliy, his friends, and all those who knew him was a blessing for us all.
Services will be held at St. Mary's of the Valley Catholic Church, 601 W. Columbia, Monroe, WA 98272 on Wednesday April 11, 2001 at 1:00 p.m.

Floyd Jonathan Day 1909 - 2001
Floyd Jonathan Day of Marysville passed away on April 7, 2001 at the age of 91.
He was born in Seattle on April 21, 1909 to Jonathan Justus Day and Anna Elizabeth Koenig Day. The family moved to Montana where Floyd and his two younger brothers, Chester and Clinton, grew up on a farm. Later they moved to eastern Washington where Floyd graduated from Sunnyside High School in 1928. He attended Washington State University.
Floyd later met and married Ione Aderton and they were married 62 years until her death in 1993. He lived in Marysville for over 63 years and will be remembered for his organic produce and well-kept gardens and lawns. He became a Master Gardener in the 1980's. Floyd worked for Pacific Grinding Wheel co. for 38 years, retiring in 1973. He was also a 48 year member of United States Power Squadrons. He commanded the Everett Squadron in 1962 and the Pacific Northwest District of USPS in 1974. Floyd was a gentle, caring and loving man and will be deeply missed.
Friends and family remember Floyd as a compassionate caregiver for his wife; his son, Steve; and special friend, Liz Swisher.
Floyd is survived by his daughters, Patricia Petterson and husband Norm of Marysville, and Roberta Jensen and husband Lance of Bellevue; sons, Douglas Day and wife Dorothy of Yuma, AZ, and Stephen Day of Marysville; 14 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, April 10, 2001 from 4:00-7:00pm at Schaefer-Shipman Funeral Home, 804 State Avenue, Marysville.
A family Graveside Service at Cypress Lawn Cemetery will be at 11:00am on Wednesday, April 11, 2001 with a Memorial Service to follow at 1:00pm at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 7215 51st Ave NE, Marysville.
Memorial contributions may be made to the United States Power Squadrons Educational Fund, to Bethlehem Lutheran Church Building Fund, or to the charity of your choice.
Bonnie Hyatt
Bonnie Hyatt, age 94, of Lake Stevens and formerly of Darrington, died April 7, 2001 in Snohomish.
She is survived by sons, Glenn Hyatt of Lake Stevens and Maurice and wife Virginia of Renton; and grandsons, Timothy and Gary of Renton.
Graveside Services will be held Friday, April 13, 2001 at Darrington Cemetery.

Irma "Peggy" Martin
Irma "Peggy" Martin, age 90, of Everett, died April 4, 2001.
She was born April 13, 1910 in Yakima, Wash., the daughter of John and Lizzie (O'Neil) Barden. Peggy was the widow of Verne R. Martin. Peggy loved life, loved people and loved to sing.
She is survived by her three daughters, Jeanne Lund and husband Ted of Kent, Sandra Lynne Carlson of Mill Creek and Dixie Lee Eddleman and husband Herb of Mosheim, Tenn.; grandchildren, Bruce and wife Tori, Jeff and wife Joni, Cindy, Kim and husband Brad, Gary and wife Terri, Steve, Jim and wife Debbie, Dana and husband Jim, Kris and wife Patti, Jody and husband David, Aaron and wife Kerry and Clayton; 19 great-grandchildren; and her brother John Harrison of Seattle.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 13, 2001 at the Baker View Heights Apts. "Small Hall", 2605 15th St., Everett; the reception will begin at 9:45.

Dorothy Marie Moore
Dorothy Marie Moore, age 77, of Snohomish died April 8, 2001.
She was born September 30, 1923 in Zillah, Wash.
Dorothy is survived by; sons, Dale Brown of New Mexico and William Myers of California; stepdaughter, Diane Palmer of Olympia, Washington; sister, Violet Woods of Everett, Wash.; and two grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held April 24, 2001, 10:00 a.m. at Marysville Cemetery.

Danielle Suzanne Richardson
Danielle Suzanne Richardson, 38, died April 2, 2001 at home.
She was born May 20, 1962 in Bozeman, Montana.
Danielle was a musical and artistic child. She graduated from Bozeman Senior High School in 1980, obtained a B.S. in plant pathology from Montana State University. She played violin in the Bellevue Philharmonic, 1991 and 1992, and kept an exquisite Biblical Garden. She and her husband were married nine years. She worked at Paraphernalia Inc. in Arlington as an industrial seamstress.
She is survived by her husband, Steve Richardon of Snohomish, Washington; her mother Gladys Samson of Bozeman, Montana; older brother Gary Voorhees of Edmonds, Washington; Tom Voorhees of Bozeman, Montana; younger sister Michelle Thiel of Bozeman, Montana; and nephew Max Thiesen.

Phyllis Joann Sigman
Phyllis Joann Sigman, age 70, of Lake Stevens, died April 7, 2001 at Everett.
Phyllis was born January 5, 1931 in Canton, OK. She was a longtime Boeing employee.
Phyllis is survived by four sons, Terry, Joe, John and Larry; one daughter, Cheryl Sibuma; grandchildren, Joey, Randy, Kelly, Crystal, Christina, Jamie, Ryan and Rachel; brothers, Ray, Frank and Larry Scarth; and sister, Treva Reinke.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, April 11, 2001 at 1:00pm at Simplicity Funeral Care.
Visitation will be held on day of Service from 11:00am to 12:15pm.

Richard (Dick) Teigen
Dec. 14, 1942 - April 5, 2001
Richard (Dick) Teigen is survived by his wife, Cathy, who has been by his side for over 33 years; his daughter, Kimberly; his son, Troy; and his grandson, Kyle. He is also survived by his mother, Bernice; sister, Sharon; brother, Keith; brothers-in-law, Steve and Joe; nephew, Jim; and niece, Donna, and their children, Erika and Tyler, who will miss him dearly.
Dick had a wonderful sense of humor and a zest for life. He loved his family and his friends, which he considered family too. He was always there ready to lend a helping hand. He grew up in Seattle where he attended Lincoln High School and where he met his wife at Dick's Drive-In.
Dick was in the Marine industry for over 25 years, in which he had the pleasure to meet many wonderful people. The world will be a little sadder without Dick's humor and friendship.
A Celebration of Life will be on April 22, 2001 at 1:00pm at the Embassy Suites, 20610 44th Ave. W., Lynnwood.
Remembrances may be made to Hospice of Snohomish County.
Franklin Dale Anderson
Franklin Dale Adnerson, 53, died on April 12, 2001 in Everett WA.
He was born to James Robert and Elizabeth Anderson in Harlem, Montana on April 16, 1947.
Franklin is survived by his son, Andres Anderson of CA; special sister, Renee Andres of Everett WA; as well as sisters, Judith (Frank) Bradford of Everett WA and Janice Mayte of Great Falls, MT; and various nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial services are scheduled for Thursday, April 19, 2001 at 1:00pm at Schaefer-Shipman Funeral Home Chapel.

Darlene Hope Echelbarger
Darlene Hope Echelbarger, 67, of Everett, WA, passed away on April 1, 2001 in Palm Springs, CA.
She was born June 13, 1933 to Russell Burke and Flora Ann (Johnson) Amsler in Minot, ND. She was a loving wife, mother and homemaker for 48 years, a member of the Everett Golf and Country Club, Lynnwood Elks #2171 and a sponsor of Edmonds Community College.
She is survived by her loving husband, Stanley Earl of Everett; her son, Mark Stanley of Lynnwood and his wife Linda; daughter, Kimberley Ann Yost of Palm Springs, CA and her husband Bill; three grandchildren, Krystle, Adam and Ashley Echelbarger of Lynnwood; her mother, Flora Amsler of Everett; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Her father, Russell; and sister, Lovetta preceded her in death.
By her request, there will be no Funeral Service.
A Memorial Celebration of her life will be announced at a future date.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to a local Hospice organization or Lynnwood Elks charities is suggested.
Edwin Melvin Johnson "Gampy"
Edwin Melvin Johnson, age 91, of Arlington, died April 12, 2001 in Lake Stevens.
He was born July 3, 1909 in Lakewood, WA to Eli and Annie (Aken) Johnson. Edwin enjoyed hunting, fishing and the outdoors.
Edwin was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Opal Johnson.
He is survived by daughter, Irene and husband Byron Parsons of Everett; brothers, Henry Johnson of California and Frank Johnson of Marysville; granddaughters, Lori Parsons and husband Dan Boren of Edmonds and Lisa Parsons of Everett; and many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Cedar Ridge Adult Family Home, and Tracy, JoAnne and Diane who have given Edwin such special care.
A Memorial Service will be announced at a later date.

Robert "Rob" Dale Lum
Robert "Rob" Dale Lum, born April 24, 1951 in Yakima WA; passed away April 12, 2001 in Everett at age 49. Graduate, Cascade High School and longtime resident of Shelton. Rob was a carpenter, an EMT and Building inspector for Mason County for many years.
Survived by his dearly beloved daughter, Heather Christine Lum of Shelton; mother Allene Watkins Lum; sister Renee Lum of Everett; former wife Geraldine "Gerri" Lum of Shelton; aunts, Zola Milton, Rosalie Wilcox, Arlene Bryant; numerous cousins; step-brothers and step-sisters.

Elsie B. McCormick
Elsie B. McCormick, one of the first Catholic lay teachers in the Northwest, former resident of Lynnwood and Seattle, and a loving mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully on April 9, 2001. She was 86 years old.
She leaves behind three sons and daughters-in-law, Ed (Laurie) McCormick of Everett WA, Edwin (Mary Kay) McCormick of Altanta GA and Marvin (Lynn) McCormick of Fairfield CA; sister Lorraine Olson and brother, Bennie Olson, both of Seattle; numerous grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Viewing will be at Beck's Funeral Home, 405 5th Avenue, Edmonds, Sunday, April 15, 2001, from 1-3pm. Services will be held at Church of the Assumption, 3214 N.E. 62nd St., Seattle, WA 98115 10am Monday, April 16, 2001.
