Tommy LeRoy Meyers
Graveside services for Tommy LeRoy Meyers were Feb. 19 at Okanogan Valley Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Meyers, 94, Stanwood, died Feb. 12 at Josephine House Assisted Living Facility in Stanwood.
He was born Dec. 3, 1912, near Wilbur to Albert Meyers and Della (Davis) Meyers. The family later moved to a small farm on Pontiac Ridge near Chesaw. After his father’s death, they moved to the Meyers Ranch near Conconully.
Arrangements were by Gilbertson Funeral Home, Stanwood.
David Walker Jordan
David Walker Jordan, 47, died Feb. 5, 2007, after a fall in his home near Riverside.
He was born Sept. 25, 1959, and also lived in Kirkland.
A celebration of his life will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 25, at the Redmond Senior Center.
Memorials are suggested to the Travis Jordan-David Jordan Memorial Fund, established through US Bank, Kirkland Branch, 177 Central Way, Kirkland 98033.
Antoinette K. Bell
Tonasket
Antoinette K. (Toni) Bell was born December 6, 1925 to Tony and Julia Gariano in Republic, Wash. She passed away June 26, 2007 at North Valley Nursing Home.
After graduating from Republic High School, Toni moved to Wenatchee. She later moved to California where she met and married Ron Bell in September of 1963. In 1968, they moved to Okanogan where they owned and operated Bellano Gardens for more than 25 years.

Floyd Francis Dodge
Bremerton
Floyd Francis Dodge, born May 24, 1929 in Okanogan, Wash., passed away June 22, 2007 in Bremerton, Wash. He went to Riverside High School and then to WSU where he received a Mechanical Engineering degree in 1957. He immediately received a job at Lockhead in California and later transferred to Bangor in Bremerton, Wash., where he lived for 37 years.
Graveside services will be held at the Tunk Valley Cemetery on Saturday, July 14, 11 a.m. Immediately following will be a luncheon at the Tunk Valley Grange where many memories will be shared. Precht-Harrison-Nearents Chapel is entrusted with caring for Don and his family.
Jacqueline Carol (Hale) Hagerup
Jacqueline Carol Hagerup passed away on Thursday, June 28, 2007 at the age of 69. She was born on April 26, 1938 in Nelson, British Columbia to John (Jack) and Elva Hale. She lived with her family in the towns of Salmo, Retallack and Creston, B.C.
In 1974 she and her family moved to Okanogan.
A memorial service was held at the Kaslo Community Church, 430 B Avenue, Kaslo BC, Saturday, July 7, 2007 at 11 a.m. Flowers are welcome, or donations can be made in her name to the Kootenay Lake Hospital Foundation, 3 View Street, Nelson BC V1L 2V1.

A memorial service for Clarence and Etha Newton is planned for 11 a.m. Saturday, July 14, at the Loomis Mountain View Cemetery.
Antoinette K. Bell
Antoinette K. Bell, 81, Tonasket, died at the North Valley Extended Care Facility in Tonasket June 26, 2007.
She was born Dec. 6, 1925, to Tony and Julia Gariano of Republic.

Clifton W. Dodge
Clifton W. Dodge, 84, Twisp, died July 1, 2007, at Mid-Valley Hospital, Omak.
He was born Jan. 17, 1923, to Clifton and Dorothy Dodge of Seattle.
There are no services planned. The Precht-Harrison Nearents Chapel and the Okanogan County Crematory, both of Okanogan, were in charge of arrangements.
Anna Jackson
Anna Elizabeth Jackson, 84, Tonasket, died June 28, 2007 at her home.
She was born Jan. 17, 1923, to Timothy and Margaret Downes of Philadelphia, Pa.
A memorial service was July 7 at the Tonasket Senior Center.

Justin William Edwards
Republic
Justin William Edwards, age 33, of Republic, died on Friday, July 20, 2007 following an accident near Oroville. He was born on July 13, 1974 to parents, Greg and Renee Edwards.
Justin attended the Republic and Tonasket schools and graduated from Tonasket High School. He worked for Joe Somday Logging for 10 years and began working for Fogle Pump and Supply three months ago. On July 18, 1998 he married Dewie Gliddon in Republic. Justin enjoyed anything to do with the outdoors; especially fishing, shooting and riding four wheelers.
Graveside services were held on Wednesday, July 25, 2007, at 11 a.m. at the Republic Cemetery.
Bergh Funeral Service of Oroville was in care of arrangements.
Kina Bree Bent
Malott
Kina Bree Bent, 33 years old, died at 10:06 a.m. in the Deaconess Medical Center in Spokane on Monday, July, 23, 2007.
Kina was born April 12, 1974 in Oliver, British Columbia to Rita Bent and George Pooler. She grew up most of her life in Malott, Wash. graduating from the Okanogan High School and going on to receive her A.A.S degree.
There was a rosary service held at the Omak Longhouse next to St. Mary's Mission on Wednesday, July 25, 2007 at 7 p.m. The following morning after the service the family took the urn to a creek in the mountains and scattered the ashes privately.

Mary Louise Attridge
Omak
Mary Louise Attridge, 75, passed away on July 26, 2007 at her home in Omak surrounded by her family. Mary Lou was born November 9, 1931 to parents, Melvin Samuel Perrins and Sadie Ressa Perrins. She graduated from Deer Park High School and attended the University of Washington for one year. She married Don Attridge on Sept. 19, 1950 in Deer Park, Wash.
They later moved to Harrington, Wash. where Don was involved in a wheat farming operation with his uncle and cousin. After nine years, they moved to Okanogan, Wash. where Don managed a grocery store and she nurtured and taught her family.
A viewing was scheduled for Monday, July 30, 2007 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Precht-Harrison-Nearents Chapel on Elmway in Okanogan. A memorial service was held Tuesday, July 31, 2007 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Omak. Graveside services will be the following day, Wednesday, August 1, 2007 at Woodland Cemetery in Deer Park, Wash. at 11 a.m.

Virginia “Pat” Ground
Anchorage, Alaska
Anchorage, Alaska resident, Virginia “Pat” Ground passed away July 19, 2007. Born Virginia Gleeson on July 31, 1916 in Basin, Wyo., the family lived in Greybull, Wyo. and Cody, Wyo. before moving to Seattle, Wash.
She met Ed Ground from Riverside, Wash. at a swing dance and they were married September 25, 1944. In 1956 they moved to Omak, Wash. where Pat often said “I went to Alaska on my honeymoon and returned 12 years later with two kids!”
At the request of the deceased, no funeral services were held.
Gladys May Brown
Okanogan
Gladys May Brown, 94, of Okanogan passed away at Apple Meadows April 2, 2008.
She was born in Everett, Wash., on December 26, 1913. Her parents were William F. Widel and Emma M. Hubin Widel.
A celebration of her life will be held at the Okanogan United Methodist Church on Sunday, April 13, following the 11 a.m. service.
Darlana Kimberly Fry
Omak
Darlana Kimberly Fry, 33 years of age, went home to be with our Lord and reunite with her mother, passing peacefully with her family at her side on March 27, 2008.
“Shoshone Girl”, her indian name given to her by her mother, Roseline H. Fry, was a direct descendent of Sacajawea. She was born on March 3, 1975 in Crow Agency, Mont. and raised in Omak, Wash., where she attended and graduated from Omak High School. She was actively involved in Special Olympics, favoring track and field and bowling events.
Funeral services were held at the Omak Longhouse at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, April 2 with Father Jake Morton and Father Will Kraske. Interment was held at the St. Mary’s Mission Catholic Cemetery.
Precht-Harrison-Nearents Chapel was entrusted with the care of Darlana’s service.
Louis Emil Bulow
Omak
Louis Emil Bulow, 91, of Omak, Wash. passed on at Valley Care Center in Okanogan, Wash., on April 3, 2008. He was born on May 19, 1916 in Mankato, Minn. to Emil and Helma (Roemhildt) Bulow.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, April 10, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Precht-Harrison-Nearents Chapel. A memorial service is scheduled for Friday, April 11 at 1 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Omak with Pastor Scott Muske officiating.
Instead of flowers memorials are suggested to Trinity Lutheran Church or a charity of one’s choice. Precht-Harrison-Nearents Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
John D. Leanard
John D. Leanard, 66, Lynnwood, died Jan 7., 2008 after a year and a half bout with cancer.He was born in 1941 to Eunice and John Leanard Sr. He married Linda Bahr while in Okanogan and, after a tour in Vietnam in the Army, he worked for the state Department of Social Health Services in Seattle for 43 years.Interment of his ashes will be this week at Arlington National Cemetery in Washington, D.C.
Harold W. Lamberton. M.D.
Walla Walla

Walla Walla resident, Dr. Harold W. Lamberton, 89, died April 22, 2008, at the Washington Odd Fellows Home, 534 Boyer Avenue, Walla Walla, Wash.
The memorial service will be 4 p.m., Sunday, June 22, 2008, in the Brewster High School Gymnasium. Following the memorial service, there will be a community potluck in the High School Commons. Memorial contributions may be made to the Okanogan-Douglas County Hospital in Brewster through Mountain View-Colonial DeWitt, 1551 Dalles Military Road, Walla Walla, WA 99362.
Dr. Lamberton was born August 9, 1918, in Langford, S.D. to Henry Horton and Epkaya Suttmann Lamberton. He graduated as class president from Brewster High School in 1937. He graduated from Walla Walla College in 1941 and received his medical degree from the College of Medical Evangelists, now known as Loma Linda University, in 1943. On October 14, 1943, he and Bernice Wall married in Redlands, Calif. The family moved to this area in 1993 from Brewster.
Johan “John” Brathen
John passed away Saturday, April 26, 2008 at home. John was born Aug. 3, 1937 in Nakkerud, Norway to Haakon and Olga Braathen. The family came to Riverside, Wash. in 1952.
John graduated from Riverside High School in 1956. He joined the Navy and served from 1956 to 1960. Upon returning from the Navy, he was a logger then went to work at Hank and Earl’s Auto Wrecking, later becoming the owner. John also operated the family apple orchard for many years. John was known for his love of spending time with his family in the outdoors, camping, hiking, fishing, hunting, snowmobiling, motorcycling and ATVing.
At his request there will be no services at this time. A remembrance of John’s life for family and friends will be planned at a later date.
Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, Okanogan Regional Home Health and Hospice, or the charity of your choice.

Nancy Pauline Boober
Brewster
Nancy Pauline Boober, 77, of Brewster, Wash., passed away on Monday, April 28, 2008, at Okanogan-Douglas District Hospital after a short illness.
She was born on April 12, 1931 in Lake Stevens, Wash., to Flora and Carl Granger. Nancy lived most of her life in Snohomish County, and moved to Okanogan County eight years ago. Nancy was a very special lady and loved by many.
A memorial service and dinner will be held on June 7, 2008 at 4 p.m. at Jim Boober’s residence in Okanogan. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, folks make donations to the Residents Fund at Harmony House in Brewster, Wash.
Lynn Evelyn Gregg
Lynn Evelyn Gregg, 46, went home to be with her Lord on April 23, 2008.
She was born the daughter of Donald and Arline McCready in Renton, Wash., in August 1961. Skinny Lynny, as she was known at home, attended Renton area schools and graduated from Hazen High school in 1979. She married Mike Hagen and was blessed with daughter, Katie.
She and her beautiful daughter, Katie, moved to the Quad City area in 1997 and she worked as the cook for the Bridgeport School District where she could give the kids a good meal and a friendly face. There she met and married Scott Gregg and had two more precious children, Rebekah and Jackson.
There will be a celebration of her life Friday, May 9, 2008 at 3:30 p.m. at Omak First Baptist Church, 620 W Ridge Dr., Omak, 826-4141, with refreshments to follow. Graveside services were held at Greenwood Cemetery in Renton, Wash. on May 5, 2008.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Children's Hospital, 4800 Sand Point Way N.E., Seattle, Wash., 98105.
Joseph D. Kobe
Joseph D. Kobe, our beloved father, passed away peacefully surrounded by his devoted family on April 27, 2008, after a long, courageous battle with CHF.
He was born May 2, 1923, in Riverside (Omak), Wash. He was the youngest of eight children. After graduating from Riverside High School, he joined the Merchant Marines.
In 1948 he married Maxine Stout and eventually settled in Seattle, Wash., to raise their three girls. He worked at Chief Joseph Dam from 1950 to 1955. He volunteered at the Omak Fire Station before joining the Boeing Fire Department in 1957, retiring in 1985.
A viewing will be held from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., followed by a memorial service at 12:30 p.m., Friday, May 9, 2008, at Marlatt Funeral Home, 713 Central Ave. N., Kent. Graveside services will follow at Tahoma Veterans Cemetery, Kent.
Millard F. Fowler
Okanogan
Millard F. Fowler, age 87, of Okanogan, Wash., passed away at his home on Thursday, April 24, 2008 surrounded by loving family.
Millard was born in 1921 to Willard and Fern Fowler at Republic, Wash. The family moved to Okanogan in 1929, where Millard graduated from high school in 1940. After graduation, he took over Fowler Construction Co., from his dad and at the same time began dating his future wife, Frances Jones of Riverside, Wash., whom he met at a dance at the Scotch Creek Grange Hall.
A memorial service for Millard will be held at Precht-Harrison-Nearents Chapel at 2547 Elmway, Okanogan, Wash. on Friday, May 9, 2008 at 1 p.m., followed by a luncheon at the Eagles Lodge on Elmway, Okanogan.
Donations may be made in his honor to the Shriners Hospital for Children, PO Box 2472, Spokane, Wash. 99210-2472.
Precht-Harrison-Nearents Chapel was entrusted with services.

Sandra K. Bidlen, 63, a lifelong resident of Omak, died May 2, 2008.

Richard Keith (Rick) Crowder, 50, Brewster, died May 5, 2008.
He was born Aug. 23, 1957, and is survived by his wife, Debbie.
A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 24, at Cornerstone Christian Fellowship, Omak.
