Nicole "Nikki" N. Rodriguez, 35, of Grandview died Tuesday in Prosser.
Mrs. Rodriguez was born in Bellingham, Wash. She was raised in Prosser and worked as assistant manager at Horse Heaven Hills Truck Stop in Prosser and later as manager of the Wine Country Deli in Grandview.
Survivors include her husband, Albert Rodriguez Jr. of Grandview; her mother, MaryAnn VerMulm of Prosser; two brothers, Michael VerMulm and Clifford VerMulm; and a sister, Cynthia Miller.
Viewing and visitation will be from 10 a.m.-noon Tuesday at the Bethany Presbyterian Church in Grandview. The funeral will follow at 1 p.m. at the church. Arrangements are by Smith Funeral Home.
Dorothy J. Kinney

Dorothy J. Kinney, 82, of Ellensburg died Wedneday.
Mrs. Kinney was born in Gould, Ark. She lived in McCamey, Texas, until 1966, and later in Scotts Mills, Ore., moving to Ellensburg in 1998. Her career included secretarial and library assistant positions.
Survivors include a son, Zane Kinney of Ellensburg; a daughter, Toni Silver of Austin, Texas; two granddaughters and two great-grandsons.
Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery on Wednesday, with graveside services at 2 p.m. Arrangements are by Affordable Funeral Care.
Richard R. Haywood

Richard R. Haywood, 82, of Yakima died Tuesday at Willow Springs.
Mr. Haywood was born in Madison, N.D. He worked as a cowboy for Rehule & Arstein until an injury forced his early retirement.
Survivors include three sons, William Haywood of Athol, Idaho, Daniel Haywood of Yakima and Donald Haywood of Moxee; 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Private inurnment will be at Holy Rosary Cemetery in Moxee. Arrangements are by Langevin-Mussetter Funeral Home.
Aventine Heintz

Aventine "Teny" Heintz, 79, of Prosser died Tuesday at Sun Terrace Assisted Living in Prosser.
Ms. Heintz was born in Bowdle, S.D. She moved to Prosser in 1942. She was a seamstress at Jerry's Men's Shop & Dry Cleaners from 1948-2009.
Survivors include two brothers, Roger Heintz of Dallas, Ore., and Perry Heintz of Pearl City, Hawaii; and three sisters, Yvonne Neilon of Palm Desert, Calif., Dorothy Sheeran of Walnut Creek, Calif., and Charlotte Martin of Redington Beach, Fla.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Monday, with recitation of the rosary at 7 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Prosser. Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church with concluding services and burial to follow at Prosser Cemetery.
Arrangements are by Prosser Funeral Home and Crematory.

Wayne R. Dawson, 84, of Union Gap died Thursday at home.
Mr. Dawson was born in Yakima. He worked many years in the furnace and oil business as a technician. He worked for Hugh Fate Standard Oil and later retired from Wondrack in Yakima.
Survivors include four children, Steve Dawson of San Diego, Calif., Cammie Adler of Spokane, and Walter Dawson and Timothy Dawson, both of Union Gap; a brother, Benny Dawson of Yakima; a sister, Lavene Richards of Port Townsend, Wash.; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
At Mr. Dawson's request, there will be no services.
Arrangements are by Merritt Funeral Home.
Frank C. Gunner

Frank C. Gunner, 75, of Selah died Tuesday in Yakima.
Mr. Gunner was born in Murdo, S.D. He retired from the Bureau of Reclamation with 18 years of service in 1995.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Gunner of Selah; three sons, Ron Gunner of Yakima, Scott Gunner of Selah and Don Gunner of Boise, Idaho; a brother, Larry Gunner of Winner, S.D.; and seven grandchildren.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Keith and Keith Ninth Avenue Chapel.

Rita M. Nanez, 90, of Harrah died Thursday at her home.
Mrs. Nanez was born in Denver. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include six sisters, Barbara Saiz of Harrah, Esther Salinas of Casa Grande, Ariz., Lupe Garcia of Yakima, Alberta Macias of San Jose, Calif., Mary Nanez of Harrah and Betty Macias of Sunnyside; four grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Ethel Louise Wells, 78, of Yakima died Friday at Yakima Regional Medical and Cardiac Center.
Mrs. Wells was born in Dakin, Alberta, Canada, and moved to the Yakima Valley in 1948. She worked for several years as a fruit packaging supervisor.
Survivors include her husband, Robert F. Wells; a son, Robert J. Wells; a daughter, Debbie Gilland; a brother, Richard Kanzig of Selah; two sisters, Nellie Christian of Indiana and Muriel Pejakovic of Ohio; one grandchild and three great-grandchildren.
In honor of her request, there will be no services.

Patrick D. Hutchinson, 64, of Mattawa died at home Friday.
Mr. Hutchinson was born in Portland and raised in Sunnyside. He worked as a mechanic in various industries, and after moving to Mattawa in 1988, was the plant foreman at Wahluke Produce.
Survivors include his wife, Bobbie Hutchinson; four sons, Jessie, Del, Jim and Mark; four siblings, Jerry, Richard, Minnibelle and Mike; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Mattawa.

Hazel M. Nelson, 88, of Yakima died Sunday at Good Samaritan Health Care Center.
Mrs. Nelson was born in Pasco and traveled with her husband as they followed his work around the country. She retired to the Yakima Valley in 1978.
Survivors include a son, Jon Mikel Nelson of Yakima; a daughter, Anna Marie Nelson of Orem, Utah; 12 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be from 9 to 10 a.m. Thursday at Valley Hills Funeral Home, Yakima. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Terrace Heights Memorial Park.

Andrew Scott Jones, 28, of Sunnyside died Saturday in Sunnyside.
He was born in Collinsville, Okla., and attended Sunnyside Christian School before graduating from Sunnyside High School in 2000. After attending Western Culinary Institute in Portland, he worked for various restaurants in the Lower Valley and was most recently employed at Bonefish Grill in the Tri-Cities.
Survivors include his wife, Nicole Ramirez Jones; two children, Daya Mia Kate and Xander William; his parents, Linda Visser Corpron and Bill Corpron of Sunnyside, and Randy Jones, of Tulsa, Okla.; two brothers, Nathan Jones of Richland and Ben Jones of Tulsa; a sister, Michale of Tulsa; three stepsisters, Jenny Carter and Lisa Bartheld, both of Yakima, and Sarah Corpron of Pasco; and his grandparents, Jennie Visser of Sunnyside, Karl and Virginia Jones of Missouri and Douglas Corpron of Yakima.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Smith Funeral Home, Sunnyside. A graveside funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Lower Valley Memorial Gardens.

Virginia Grace Clark, 86, of Yakima died Tuesday. Mrs. Clark was born in Portland. She worked at U.S. Bank for many years, retiring in 1989.
Survivors include a son, Virgil Clark of Yakima; and three grandchildren.

James Palmer

James Palmer, 59, of Yakima died Monday at Parkside Nursing Care Center in Union Gap. Mr. Palmer was born in Mina, S.D., and lived in several places, including, Salem, Ore., Oroville, Calif., and Alaska. He had lived in Yakima for the past eight years. He worked as an automobile and vending machine mechanic.
Survivors include three sons, Christopher Palmer of Lake Oswego, Ore., Michael Palmer and Steven Palmer; his mother, Katherine Marie Baker of Kendrick, Idaho; four brothers, Eugene Palmer and David Palmer, both of Yakima, Fred Palmer of Lecanto, Fla., and Lucas Jundt of Nokomis, Fla.; and a sister, Maryann Palmer-Brennan of Lecanto.
At his request, no services will be held. Arrangements are by Langevin-Mussetter Funeral Home.

Franklin "Frank" Andrew Schilperoort, 81, of Sunnyside died Friday in Yakima. Mr. Schilperoort was born in Sunnyside and served in the Navy during the Korean War. He was a farmer in Sunnyside for a many years.
Survivors include his wife, Wanda Schilperoort of Sunnyside; two sons, Craig Schilperoort and Tyler Schilperoort, both of Sunnyside; two brothers, Clarence Schilperoort of California and Elmer Schilperoort of Sunnyside; three sisters, Lillian Jansen and Pauline Newhouse, both of Sunnyside, and Elsie Wassenaar of Seattle; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Viewing will be from 1 to 8 p.m. June 9 at Smith Funeral Home in Sunnyside. A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. June 10 in Lower Valley Memorial Gardens, Sunnyside, with a memorial service to follow at 11 a.m. at Sunnyside Christian Reformed Church.

Maria H. Murillo, 80, of Wapato died Monday. Mrs. Murillo was born in Zacatecas, Mexico, and moved to the Yakima area in 1976. She worked as a farm laborer at Yakima-area farms until her retirement in 1990.
Survivors include a daughter, Neiva Fuentez of Yakima; five brothers, Felipe Oliva, Celso Oliva, Marganta Sanchez Oliva, Antonio Oliva and Manuela Hernandez-Oliva; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
