Lawrence A. Omlin, 87, of Quincy, Wash., died Friday.
Mr. Omlin was born in Toppenish and in 1953 moved to Quincy, where he farmed until his retirement in 1984.
Survivors include his wife, Elma Omlin; six children, Nancy Yoder, Pat Mattson, Jack Omlin, John Omlin, Tony Omlin and Larry Omlin; and a brother, Arnold Omlin.
The rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Thursday at Scharbach's Columbia Funeral Chapel in Quincy. Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Quincy. Concluding services and interment will follow in Quincy Valley Cemetery.

Daniel Ramirez, 29, of Seattle died Sunday.
Mr. Ramirez was born in Redmond, Wash., and lived in the Lower Yakima Valley.
Survivors include a daughter, Faydra; a son, Daniel Azrael Ramirez; his parents, George Ramirez and Reta Limas; three brothers, Angelo Correa, David Correa and Alejandro Ramirez; and his companion, Betsy Leonard.
A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the House of Mercy in Federal Way, Wash. Graveside inurnment services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Lower Valley Memorial Gardens in Sunnyside. Arrangements are by Smith Funeral Home.

Vernon Eugene Thurman, 86, of Yakima died Saturday at Good Samaritan Health Care Center.
Mr. Thurman was born in Ritzville, Wash., and served in the Army during World War II. He lived in Yakima for several years and worked as a meat cutter.

Caryol Mae Krieger Montgomery Slagle, 77, of Yakima died Sunday at Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Slagle was born in Cable, Wis., and moved to Washington state when she was 12. She worked at St. Elizabeth Hospital early in her career as an operating room nurse. She then went to work for Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital, first in the recovery room and then as head nurse on the second floor. For the last 20 years of her career, she was a nursing supervisor, retiring in 1996.
Survivors include her husband, Ronald Slagle of Yakima; five daughters, Donna Manuel and Kathy Martin of Yakima, Linda Baughman-Gibian of Seattle, Nioka Montgomery of Ridgefield, Wash., and Barbara Farino of Twin Falls, Idaho; 14 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Keith and Keith Ninth Avenue Chapel. Memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Memorial Bible Church in Gleed.

Arlene Worts, 67, of Yakima died Thursday.
Mrs. Worts was born in Pamona, Calif., and moved to the Yakima area in 2009. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include a son, Glen Morgan of Hesperia, Calif.; two daughters, D'Ann Morgan of Yakima and Stephanie Washington of San Mateo, Calif.; a brother, Eugene Maur of Costa Mesa, Calif.; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
A celebration of life is being planned for a later date. Arrangements are by Langevin-Mussetter Funeral Home.

Edward "Ed" Worthington Sr., 69, of Yakima died Monday at Willow Springs.
Mr. Worthington was born in Yakima.
Survivors include his wife, Sherry Worthington of Yakima; five sons, Robert Worthington of New Mexico, Ronald Worthington and David Worthington of Yakima, Edward Worthington Jr. of Toledo, Wash., and Jason Hoode of Oregon; five daughters, Lisa Worthington-Brown of Seattle, Della Osborne, Mary Worthington and Amber Provstgaard of Yakima and Karen Allison of Vernon, British Columbia; a brother, Jim Worthington of Auburn, Wash.; two sisters, Kathleen Martin and Lora Urvina of Yakima; and several grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be at noon Friday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Yakima, in the Cultural Hall. Arrangements are by Keith and Keith Funeral Home.
James A. Duran

James Anderes Duran, 85, of Selah died Tuesday at Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Duran was born in Mayes Creek, Colo., and served in the Coast Guard during World War II. He moved to Selah 16 years ago from Lander, Wyo., where he had lived for 47 years.
Survivors include his wife, Carmen Duran of Selah; two daughters, Debbie Sheppard of Yakima and Jan Saxton of North Bend, Wash.; a son, James L. Duran of Albuquerque, N.M.; a brother, Tony Duran of Denver; two sisters, Rose Gutierrez of St. Peters, Mo., and Bernice Trujillo of Thornton, Colo.; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
A rosary service will be at 5 p.m. Friday at Shaw and Sons Funeral Directors. Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Selah, followed by the burial, with military, honors in Tahoma Cemetery.

Ty "Tyggr" Greyson Phipps, 5, of Prosser died Saturday as the result of an accidental drowning near his home.
Ty was born in Kennewick.
Survivors include his parents, Daniel and Christina Phipps; a brother, Chance Phipps of Prosser; his grandparents, David and Vicki Hammitt of Prosser and Margie Stefczek of Chetek, Wis.; and his great-grandfather, Lyle Strickland of Hamilton, Wash.
Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Prosser Funeral Home. A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Benton City Fairgrounds.

Donald Arthur Hanson, 94, of Yakima died Monday at Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Hanson was born in Great Falls, Mont. He was a teacher at Fort Shaw and Simms High School in Montana.
Survivors include two sons, Russell Hanson of Puyallup, Wash., and Richard Hanson of Selah; a daughter, Jeanette Craig of Yakima; eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Helen "Lavelle" Birmingham, 95, of Yakima died Tuesday. Mrs. Birmingham was born in Appanoose County, Iowa, and moved to the Yakima area in 1953. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include a son, Ralph Birmingham of Hood River, Ore.; a daughter, Virginia Nicholson of Yakima; five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandsons.
Visitation will be from 1 to 6 p.m. today at Keith and Keith Ninth Avenue Chapel. Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Friday in West Hills Memorial Park.

Reginald Jim Sr. "Na-shnee," 64, of Toppenish died Tuesday in Seattle. Mr. Jim was born and raised in Toppenish and served in the Army. He was a self-employed commercial fisherman in Washington and Alaska.
Survivors include his wife, Julie Jim of White Swan; six children, Regina Penny of Lapwai, Idaho, Rose Waters of Harrah, Danielle Jim of Yakima, Celia Jim of Omak, Wash., Mitchell Jim of Toppenish and Reginald Jim Jr. of White Swan; three brothers, Harvey Jim of Warm Springs, Ore., Daniel Jim of Pendleton, Ore., and Gil Calac of White Swan; eight sisters, Margaret Pennah and Maureena Manyfingers of Toppenish, Melissa James and Sandra Quill of Wapato, Doris Ardito of Portland, Sarah Roman of Benton City, Deborah Danielson of Lawrence, Kan., and Rosanna Jim of Georgeville, Wash.; and numerous grandchildren.
Dressing service will be at 2 p.m. today at the Toppenish Longhouse. Overnight services will follow with funeral services at sunrise. Interment to follow in the Sleepin Cemetery on the Satus. Arrangements are by Colonial Funeral Home.

Darrell Dean Weaver, 79, of Yakima died Tuesday at home. Mr. Weaver was born in Dupree, S.D. He worked as a heavy equipment operator at the Boise Cascade lumber yard.
Survivors include eight children, Vance Weaver, Charles Catron, Connie Catron and Reta Taylor of Yakima, Shirley Riel of Kennewick, Carol Henry of Walla Walla, Bobbie Catron and Lori Young of Moxee; a sister, Lovonne Luien of South Dakota; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
At his request, there will be no services. Arrangements are by Keith and Keith Funeral Home.

Harry Herman, 84, of Tieton died Tuesday in Yakima. Mr. Herman was born and raised in Yakima. He owned and operated an orchard until his retirement.
Survivors include his wife, Jean Herman of Tieton; three daughters, Sherry Herman of Seattle, Rhonda Patten of Indio, Calif., and Gail Gilliam of Phoenix; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Kanine Joe Jackson McKay "Panashat", 17, of Pendleton, Ore., and Hermiston, Ore., died Tuesday in Pendleton. Mr. McKay was born in Pendleton and was a junior at Nixyaawii High School.
Survivors include his parents, David McKay III of Pendleton and Ethel M. Jackson of Hermiston; four brothers, Willard McKay, Landon Shoeships and Liam Shoeships, all of Pendleton, and Delwin McKay of Hermiston; two sisters, Avery McKay of Pendleton and Stacey McKay of Toppenish; his grandparents, Clara Jackson of Pendleton, David McKay Jr. of Meacham, Ore., and Faith Hoptowit Kahclamat of Toppenish.
Washat services will begin at 7 p.m. today in the Agency Longhouse, Mission, Ore. Family and friends will leave the longhouse at 6:30 a.m. Friday, and sunrise service will begin at 7 a.m. in the Homly Cemetery. Arrangements are by Burns Mortuary of Pendleton.

Mr. Conaway was born in Niagra Falls, N.Y. He was a power lineman with Niagra Mohawk for 38 years.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret Conaway of Yakima; three children, Denise Crogan and Lawrence Conaway, both of Youngstown, N.Y., and Cheryl Conaway of Yakima; two grandsons and one great-granddaughter.

Harvey W. Hoyt, 95, of Yakima died Tuesday at Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Hoyt was born in Goldendale. He owned and operated Vitacap Tire Service in Yakima from 1948 to 1967.
Survivors include two sons, Stephen Hoyt of Kirkland, Wash., and Brian Hoyt of Yakima; a daughter, Susan Nicholls of Bellingham, Wash.; and two grandsons.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Keith and Keith Terrace Heights Chapel. Concluding services and burial will follow in Terrace Heights Memorial Park.

Mr. Bryant was born in Rapid City, S.D. He worked as a seed processor for Northrop King and Rogers Brothers in Sunnyside and Othello.
Survivors include his wife, Jean Bryant; two daughters, Peggy Hancock and LeeAnn Robertson; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
At Mr. Bryant's request, no formal services will be held. Private family inurnment will be at a later date in the Lower Valley Memorial Gardens in Sunnyside. Arrangements are by Smith Funeral Home.
