Hazel J. Buechler, 71, of Yakima died Thursday. Mrs. Buechler was born in Stillwell, Okla., and moved to the Yakima area in the early 1950s. She worked as a fruit packer/sorter for numerous warehouses in the Yakima area.
Survivors include two sons, Cal Buechler and Robert Buechler, both of Yakima; a daughter, Juanita Hartshorn of Yakima; a brother, Joe Hancock of Prosser; and six grandchildren.
A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Feb. 6 at Langevin-Mussetter Funeral Home.

Richard H. Hoekstra, 64, of Yakima died Wednesday at Parkside Nursing Care Center in Union Gap. Mr. Hoekstra was born in Springfield, Mass. He worked as a salesman.
Survivors include three sons, Joshua Hoekstra of Susanville, Calif., Timothy Hoekstra of Post Falls, Idaho, and Luke Hoekstra of Fresno, Calif.; three daughters, Holly Hoekstra and Rebekah Hoekstra of Redding, Calif., and Tabitha Kampfer of Redmond, Wash.; two brothers, Scott Hoekstra and Robert Hoekstra, and a sister, Ann Hoekstra, all of Winter Springs, Fla.; and seven grandchildren.
No local services are planned. Arrangements are by Valley Hills Funeral Home and Crematory of Yakima.

Maria Delaluz Ochoa Mata, 46, of Selah died Wednesday in Yakima. Mrs. Mata was born in Apatzingan, Michoacan, Mexico. She lived in the Yakima Valley for over 20 years and worked at Zirkle Fruit since 1987.
Survivors include her father, Ladislado Ochoa of Mexico; a son, Sergio F. Ochoa of Selah; a daughter, Anna M. Ochoa of Selah; six brothers, Luis, Javier and José Ochoa, all of the Seattle area, Ramon, Margarito and Jesus Ochoa, all of Mexico; six sisters, Mercedes and Teresa Gonzales, both of Selah, Gloria Ochoa of California, Josefina Perez of Seattle, Martha Ochoa of Oregon and Guadalupe Ochoa of Mexico.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday and Monday at Langevin-Mussetter Funeral Home. A vigil will be at 6 p.m. Monday, also at the funeral home. Mass of Christian burial will be at noon Tuesday at St. Paul Cathedral. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.

Jose R. Reynoso, 54, of Wapato died Thursday at Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital. Mr. Reynoso was born in Ixtlan Del Rio, Nayarit, Mexico. He worked as a carpenter for many years and 15 years for Snokist.
Survivors include his wife, Gloria Reynoso; his companion, Gabriela Osorio; three sons, Jose Reynoso Jr. of Yakima, Joshua Reynoso and Guadalupe Reynoso, both of Wapato; two daughters, Patty and Jasmine Reynoso, both of Wapato; three brothers, Ramon Reynoso and Felipe Reynoso, both of Wapato, and Miguel Reynoso of Toppenish; four sisters, Margarita of Mexico, Carmen of Yakima, Juanita of California and Elvira of Wapato; and 10 grandchildren.
Viewing will be from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday, with a rosary at 5 p.m., at Merritt Funeral Home. Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church in Wapato. Burial will follow in Reservation Community Memorial Park.

Helen Audrey Joy, 78, of Yakima died Wednesday. Mrs. Joy was born in Aberdeen, Wash. She worked as a licensed practical nurse.
Survivors include her husband, Donald Joy of Yakima; two sons, Steven Joy of Moses Lake and David Joy of Twin Falls, Idaho; seven daughters, Christine Van Arsdale of Moses Lake, Judy Hepworth, Angela Miller and Kori Ward, all of Twin Falls, Mary Joy-Skinner of Yakima, Tamara Woodland of Newburg, Ore., and Jennifer Joy of Meridian, Idaho; a brother, Donald Elliott of Portland; two sisters, Violet Sweitzer of Chehalis, Wash., and Nadine Baybarz of Shelton, Wash.; 32 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

Gilbert O. Garcia, 61, of Poulsbo, Wash., died Friday at the University of Washington Medical Center. Mr. Garcia was born in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico, and moved to Toppenish in 1961. He worked for the Washington Department of Employment Security for 27 years in Olympia, Centralia and Bremerton before retiring.
Survivors include two daughters, Marisol Garcia-Schielke of Poulsbo and Melissa Garcia of Centralia; six brothers, Raphael Garcia of Buena, Jose Garcia and Gustavo Garcia of Harlingen, Texas, Hermilo Garcia and Oswaldo Garcia of Toppenish and Arnold Garcia of Oakland, Calif.; three sisters, Guadalupe Trujillo of Flint, Mich., Angela Vergara of Matamoros, Mexico and Maria Nunez of Toppenish; and two grandchildren.

Pearl Kenney, 89, of Wapato died Saturday. Mrs. Kenney was born in Blue, Okla. She lived in Wapato for many years and was a homemaker.
Survivors include three daughters, Pat Hunter and Margaret Cole, both of Donald, and Laverne Bradley of Florida; a son, Gary Kenney of Donald; a sister, Eunice Allen of Donald; a brother, John Dee Barry of Donald; and 23 grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church in Wapato. Burial will follow in Wapato Reservation Cemetery. Arrangements are by Valley Hill Funeral Home of Zillah.

Ray J. Perrault, 90, of Toppenish died Saturday in Selah. Mr. Perrault was born in Pasco and served in the Air Force. He worked for Standard Oil Co. of California in Toppenish as a jobber and later owned the plant, retiring in the late 1970s.
Survivors include four sons, Michael Perrault of La Conner, Wash., Raymond Perrault of Yakima, Patrick Perrault of Zillah and Perry Perrault of Richland; a sister, Beverly Toynbee of Renton, Wash.; 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 1 to 5 p.m. Thursday at Colonial Funeral Home. Graveside services with military honors will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Zillah City Cemetery.

Charles H. Veals, 88, of Toppenish died Saturday. Mr. Veals was born in Toppenish and served in the Army Air Corps. He returned to Toppenish after the service and farmed on the Satus. He later worked at Morrow Motors in Yakima, then for the Toppenish School District. He retired in the mid-1970s from the bus garage.
Survivors include his wife, Marcia Veals of Toppenish; two children, Charles H. "Herb" Veals of Everett, Wash., and Pamela Roehl of Benton City; five grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
The memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Feb. 13 at the Toppenish United Methodist Church. Arrangements are by Colonial Funeral Home.

Candy Lee Keck, 60, of Selah died Sunday at home. Mrs. Keck was born in Yakima. She worked for Yakima County Meals on Wheels for two years before her health declined.
Survivors include her husband, James Keck of Selah; a son, Toby Keck of Yakima; a daughter, Tresha Bonser of Yakima; a brother, Mike Strahsburg of Yakima; and four grandchildren.

John "Jack" Eldon Lange Sr., 87, of Yakima died Saturday at Landmark Care Center. Mr. Lange was born in Yakima. He worked as a letter carrier for 27 years before retiring.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Lange of Yakima; two sons, John Lange Jr. and Rick Lange, both of Yakima; two daughters, Sharon Base and Sandy Joyal, both of Yakima; 10 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
