Delores Elaine Todd, 72, of Yakima died Friday at Willow Springs Care. She was born in Terri, Mont., and was a bookkeeper.
Survivors include three daughters, Lori Bunger of Zillah, Tami Walters and Tippi Price, both of Yakima; and a son, Marcos Fernandez of Arvada, Colo.
A memorial service will be Wednesday at Colonial Funeral Home in Toppenish; the time is pending. Arrangements are by Keith and Keith Funeral Home.

Benny Paul Drinkwater, 66, of Yakima died Saturday. Mr. Drinkwater was born in Branch, Mo., and retired from the Navy after serving 21 years. He worked for the U.S. Postal Service for more than 20 years.
Survivors include his wife, Myra; a son, David Drinkwater; a sister, Janice Milbreth of Renton, Wash.; and a brother, Jack Olinger of Ferndale, Wash.
Memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Keith and Keith Ninth Avenue Chapel.
J. Dodd Frasier

J. Dodd Frasier, 73, of Yakima died Friday at home. Mr. Frasier was born in Ontario, Ore., and served in the Navy. He taught biology and humanities at Davis High School and was a psychological evaluator at Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital.
Survivors include his mother, Fern Frasier of Walla Walla; two daughters, Terry Wheeler of Yakima and Kristin Schwab of Seattle; a brother, William Frasier Jr. of California; and two grandchildren.
At his request, no services are planned. He will be inurned at a later date in Touchet, Wash. Arrangements are by Keith and Keith Funeral Home.

Robert "Bob" L. Hash, 75, died Thursday. He was a retired Federal Way, Wash., fire chief. He spent his retirement in Yakima and Mesa, Ariz.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia; two brothers, Wally and John Hash; two daughters, Crystal Halverson and Leslie McCoy; two sons, Bill and Ray Hash; a stepdaughter, Debra Hickman; two stepsons, Don Wilmoth Jr. and Aaron Wilmoth; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Bethel Christian Center, 414 SW 312th St., in Federal Way. Arrangements are by the Neptune Society.

Laurel Elizabeth Palmer, 81, of Yakima died Sunday at Yakima Regional Medical and Cardiac Center. Mrs. Palmer was born in Yakima. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include three children, Robin Palmer, Mark Palmer and Sandy Palmer, all of Yakima; three sisters, Joyce Barr of Hawaii, Mary Posey of Dayton, Wash., and Frances Burgess of Orting, Wash.; nine grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be from noon to 6 p.m. Wednesday at Langevin-Mussetter Funeral Home. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Vineyard Christian Fellowship, 221 E. Martin Luther King Blvd., Yakima. Burial will follow in West Hills Memorial Park.

Royden Schoonover, 80, of Toppenish died Thursday. Mr. Schoonover was born in Odessa, Wash. He was a farmer and lived in the Valley for many years.

Vernon Coolidge Vickery, 85, of Yakima died Dec. 29 at Yakima Regional Medical and Cardiac Center. Mr. Vickery was born in Stella, Ark., and moved to the Wenatchee Valley as a young man. He did orchard work before being employed by Keokuk Electro-Metals for 33 years, retiring in 1987.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Vickery of Yakima; a son, Tim Vickery of Wenatchee; a daughter, Suzanne Rabbitt of Selah; three brothers, Conway Vickery, Rex Vickery and Bob Vickery; two sisters, Mona Smith and Yvonne Mattix, all of Wenatchee; and two grandchildren.

Donald E. Brownlee Sr., 67, of Selah died Sunday. Mr. Brownlee was born in Wapato and received his education in Sunnyside. He had several different jobs throughout his life and ended his working career with B.O. Peterson Dairy.

Eric Michael Rapp, 41, of Moxee died of cancer Sunday at home. Mr. Rapp was born in Rantoul, Ill., had lived in Chesapeake, Va., and moved to Yakima in 1998. He was a registered counselor.
Survivors include his wife, Susan (Drinkwater) of Moxee; his parents, Capt. Michael Rapp, JAGC USN, Ret., and Patricia Rapp of Virginia Beach, Va.; two brothers, Chris Rapp of Powhatan, Va., and Tim Rapp of Woodbridge, Va.; a stepdaughter, Meredyth Dinniman; and four step-grandchildren.

Florence Belle (Demaray) Tuininga, 97, formerly of Yakima, died Thursday at Evergreen Hospice in Kirkland, Wash. Mrs. Tuininga was born in Atkinson, Neb., and grew up in Yakima. She spent most of her life in Seattle and Poulsbo, Wash. She worked for the telephone company.
Survivors include a son, Gary Tuininga of Laclede, Idaho; a daughter, Gail Molinaro of Red Rocks, Colo.; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Tahoma Cemetery. Arrangements are by Keith and Keith Funeral Home.

Ellenora M. Singer, 96, of Yakima died Friday. Mrs. Singer was born in Watkins, Mont. She worked as a record keeper for the state of California. In 1980, she moved to Yakima.
Survivors include two brothers, Carlton Fode and Duane Fode, both of California; and a sister, Doris Swanson of Manteca, Calif.

Althea E. Adams, 90, of Toppenish died Tuesday. She was born in Sugar City, Idaho, and raised in Canada. She worked as an elementary teacher for the Toppenish School District, retiring in 1998. She was also a pilot, who was very involved with aerospace and NASA.
Interment will be today in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Gresham, Ore. A memorial service will be at a later date. Arrangements are by Colonial Funeral Home.

Richard Anderson, 47, of Ellensburg died Friday at Yakima Regional Medical and Cardiac Center. Mr. Anderson was born in Renton, Wash.. Before moving to Ellensburg in the mid-1990s, he lived in Cle Elum, where he operated Jim's U-Save service station.
Survivors include a brother, James E. Anderson Jr. of Ellensburg.
Memorial observation will be private. Arrangements are by Affordable Funeral Care of Ellensburg.

Zelda M. Henry, 80, of Yakima died Wednesday. Mrs. Henry was born in Letona, Ark. She lived in Zillah for many years and was a homemaker.
Survivors include a son, Troy Henry of Yakima; a daughter, Patricia Morrow of Yakima; three sisters, Joyce Swinea and Peggy Bowen of Conway, Ark., and Anna Sue Evans of Alma, Ark.; and seven grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday at Valley Hills Funeral Home in Zillah. The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Zillah First Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Zillah Cemetery.

Leonard Sears, 83, of Mabton died Sunday in Grandview. Mr. Sears was born in Cortez, Colo., and served in the Army in Korea. He worked for White River Lumber Co. in Mabton and later became a journeyman carpenter and worked at Hanford and construction sites throughout the Midwest.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Sears of Mabton; a son, Calvin Sears of Spokane; a daughter, Janice Jenkins of Mabton; a sister, Daisy Leuning of Kalispell, Mont.; two brothers, Howard Sears of Toledo, Wash., and Harvey Sears of Cook, Wash.; an adopted daughter, Gin Trujillo; four grandsons and six great-grandchildren.
At his request, no formal services will be held. Arrangements are by Smith Funeral Home LTD and Crematory.

Marguerite R. "Tabares" Umemoto, 78, formerly of Wapato, died Dec. 30 in Morton, Wash. Mrs. Umemoto was born in Casper, Wyo. She worked as a newspaper carrier.
Survivors include two sons, Terry Umemoto of Maple Valley, Wash., and Gary Umemoto of Mercer Island, Wash.; three daughters, Patricia Salazar of Packwood, Wash., Jeri Ann McCullough of Wapato and Sherry Johnson of Maple Valley;

A celebration of life will be at 1 p.m. Jan. 16 at the Spanish Assembly of God Church in Wapato. Arrangements are by Merritt Funeral Home.

Ronald Wayne Seawright, 51, of Toppenish died Sunday. Mr. Seawright was born in Arkansas. He was a truck driver, farmer and firewood salesman.

Ernesto Perez, 79, of Grandview died Tuesday. Mr. Perez was born in Donna, Texas, and moved to Grandview in 1967. During his lifetime, he worked at an ice house, on a dairy farm, in highway construction, farming and finally retired from Bailey Nurseries, Inc., of Sunnyside.
Survivors include his children, Margaret Rodriguez, Martha Costilla, Natividad Perez, Antonia Asamoto, Amelia Valle, Elizabeth Mata and Luis Perez; his siblings, Olivia Uresti, Hortencia Perez, Castulo Perez and Ofelia P. Bermudez; 14 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today, with a rosary at 6 p.m., at Smith Funeral Home in Grandview. Mass of Christian burial will be at noon Friday at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Grandview. Burial will be in the Grandview Cemetery.

Willard Ray Steinert, 89, of Selah died Tuesday at home. Mr. Steinert was born in Meredith, Mont., and served in the U.S. Navy. He owned and operated a local motel. He had been a resident of Yakima since 1958.
Survivors include his wife, Phyllis Steinert of Selah; two sons, Steven Steinert of Mesa, Ariz., and Jerry Steinert of Yakima; a daughter, Irene Hanna of Fort Mohave, Ariz.; a sister, Leona Madler; a brother, Irvin Steinert; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Herminia T. Gomez, 80, of Mercedes, Texas, and formerly of Sunnyside, died Tuesday. Mrs. Gomez was born in Relampago, Texas. In 1949, she and her husband migrated from Texas to Washington, settling in Sunnyside in 1968. She worked for Bob Desserault and later at Yakima Bait Co.
Survivors include two sons, John Gomez of Grandview and Manuel Gomez Jr. of Sunnyside; five daughters, RosaLinda Gomez Flores of Mercedes, Texas, Janie Sabedra, Maria Victoria Ramos and Virginia Amador, all of Sunnyside, and Maria Guadalupe Clossey of West Richland; three brothers, Guadalupe Trevino, Gilberto Trevino and Guillermo Trevino, all of Mercedes; three sisters, Enedina Gonzales of Progreso, Texas, Herlinda Ortiz of San Jose, Calif., and Elisa Galvan of Mercedes; 21 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Guy C. Simpson, 87, of Selah died Tuesday at Yakima Regional Medical and Cardiac Center. Mr. Simpson was born in Gainesville, Mo., and served in the Army during World War II. He moved to Washington state after the war and worked as an iron worker.
He then worked as an equipment operator for the city of Yakima, retiring after 21 years.
Survivors include three sons, Doug Simpson of Selah, Craig Simpson of Yakima and Gary Simpson of Othello; two brothers, Verno Simpson of Selah and Herschel Simpson of Olympia; 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. today at Shaw and Sons Funeral Directors. A graveside service with military honors will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in West Hills Memorial Park. Those wishing to attend should meet at the cemetery. Following the graveside service, there will be a gathering in the Greenside Room of Shaw and Sons Funeral Directors.

James Simpson, 33, of Yakima died Tuesday. Mr. Simpson was born in Yakima and served in the Army during the Iraq war.
Survivors include his wife, Maribel Simpson; a daughter, Carrie Destiny Gutierrez-Simpson of Yakima; his mother and stepfather, Linda and Art Chandler of Yakima; his father, Robert Simpson of Walla Walla; two brothers, Gabriel Simpson and Joshua Simpson, both of Yakima; and his grandmother, Pollie Kile of Hermiston, Ore.
Visitation will be from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday at Keith and Keith Ninth Avenue Chapel. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Trinity Family Fellowship.
Jesus L. Vasquez

Jesus Ledesma Vasquez, 82, of Sunnyside died Tuesday at home. Mr. Vasquez was born in Hualahuises, Mexico, and immigrated to the United States in 1952, making his home in Texas. In 1967, he moved to Grandview and later to Prosser and Sunnyside. He worked as a farm laborer, retiring in 1970.
Survivors include two sons, Ray Vasquez of Yakima and Ramiro Vasquez of Prosser; two sisters, Ofelia Garcia and Esperanza Vasquez; a brother, Albino Vasquez; two stepbrothers, Felipe Vasquez and Guiyemina Vasquez, all of Mexico; 13 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
A memorial mass will be at a later date. Arrangements are by Prosser Funeral Home.
