Survivors include three daughters, Lorrie Gatewood of Naches, Tina Gatewood of Kent, Wash., and Christine Ramirez of Maple Valley; two sons, Wayne Gatewood of Kent and Raymond Gatewood of Snoqualmie, Wash.; two sisters, Pauline Davis and Jenell Griggs of Selah; two brothers, Orville Marshall of Eugene, Ore., and Ray Marshall of Selah; 15 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren;.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today at Keith & Keith Ninth Avenue Chapel. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Keith & Keith. Burial will be at Terrace Heights Memorial Park. Keith & Keith is handling arrangements.
Irma L. Rinehart

Irma L. Rinehart, 86, died Tuesday. The Yakima resident was born in South Bend, Wash., and worked as a credit manager in the food service industry.
She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Rinehart of Yakima.

Nadia Snyder, 56, died at home Friday in Toppenish. The native of Chuguev, Ukraine, was a teacher for many years and moved to the United States in 2003.
Survivors include her husband Rick of Toppenish; a daughter, Lena Walker of Seattle; a son, Aleksey Bozhenko of Ukraine; her parents of Ukraine, two brothers, one sister and two grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Zillah City Cemetery. Arrangements are by Colonial Funeral Home.

Norman "Elvis" Applegate, 59, of Yakima died Monday at home. Mr. Applegate was born in Redbank, N.J. He was living in the Tri-Cities area and recently moved back to Yakima. He was a musician.
Survivors include his wife, Kathy Applegate of Yakima; two sons, Solomon Jay Quito of Yakima and James Strong of Seattle; three sisters, Sonya of New Jersey, June of Pennsylvania and Sherry of Idaho; and two granddaughters.

Daniel James Austin, 3, of Zillah died Sunday at Toppenish Community Hospital. Daniel was born in Sunnyside and attended Oakridge Montessori preschool.

Lloyd William Mohling, 66, of Canby, Ore., died Sunday in Oregon City, Ore. Mr. Mohling was born in Fairbury, Neb., and lived in Yakima in the 1970s and early 1980s. He worked for the Halton Company, Linn-Benton Tracker and A&L Supply. He was an agriculture representative for many years.
Survivors include his wife, Laurie Mohling of Canby; a son, Peter Mohling; two daughters, Kristina Trudgeon and Jennifer Mohling; and a sister, Virlene Arnst.
Services will be private. Arrangements are by Omega Funeral Home and Cremation Service.

Gertrude Fronda Rabena, 67, of Toppenish died Tuesday at Yakima Regional Medical and Cardiac Center. Mrs. Rabena was born in the Philippines. She worked as a nurse.
Survivors include four sons, Dylan Rabena, Nick Rabena and Yuri Rabena, all of Seattle, and Glen Rabena of Hornby Island, British Columbia; four daughters, Loretta Howard of Puyallup, Wash., Patty Rabena of Cody, Wyo., Maria Martinez of Wapato and Emily Rimpis of the Philippines; a brother, Teofilo Fronda of the Philippines; 21 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday at Merritt Funeral Home. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, also at the funeral home.

Clara Viola Stacy, 85, of Yakima died Tuesday at home. Mrs. Stacy was born in Dusty, Wash. She worked as a registered nurse for the state of Washington.
Survivors include her husband, Dean Stacy of Yakima; three sons, Phillip Manuel and Loren Manuel, both of Yakima, and Jan Manuel of Longview, Wash.; two daughters, Clarvine Manuel-Van Epps and Carlotta Manuel of Yakima; a stepdaughter, Kathy Schwer of Oregon; a twin brother, Victor Stueckle of Walla Walla; two sisters, Laurette McCaw of Waitsburg, Wash., and Bertha Holling of Spokane; 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Shaw and Sons Funeral Directors. A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Monday in West Hills Memorial Park. Those attending should meet at the cemetery. A reception will follow the service at Shaw and Sons Funeral Directors in the Greenside Room.

Bert Leroy Wells, 79, of Yakima died Monday. Mr. Wells was born in Grandview and served in the Army. He was a local radio and television personality for many years in Yakima. He retired as a college professor from Eastern Oregon University.
Survivors include his wife, Elinor Wells of Yakima; a daughter, Kathleen Hetrick of La Grande, Ore.; two sons, Steven Wells of La Grande and Jeffrey Wells of Yakima; and a sister, Della Wells of Richland.

Richard M. Bill

Richard M. Bill, 71, of Wapato died Tuesday at home. Mr. Bill was born in Wapato and was raised in the Yakima Valley and Powell Butte, Ore. He worked for the Yakama Nation as a drug and alcohol counselor for many years, retiring in the mid-2000s.
Survivors include three brothers, Michael Bill of Wapato, Larry Bill of White Swan and Wayne Bill of Toppenish; a sister, Naomi Bill of Toppenish; and a granddaughter.
Dressing services were held Wednesday. Overnight services will be held today at the Wapato Longhouse, with the funeral at sunrise Friday in the Union Gap Cemetery. Arrangements are by Colonial Funeral Home.

Ramona JoAnn Hayford, 71, of Yakima died Sunday. Mrs. Hayford was born in Estherville, Iowa, and received her education in Grandview. The Hayfords had lived in Wyoming and California before moving to Yakima, where they founded K & D Auto Clinic. In 1985 they moved to Othello to operate a furniture business and returned to Yakima after retiring.
Survivors include her husband, Dan Hayford of Yakima; four children, Sandy Naught of Randall, Wash., Dennis Hayford of Moses Lake, Sheryl Lovato of Yakima and Doug Hayford of Maple Valley, Wash.; two brothers, Ronald Bradshaw of Sunnyside and Raymond Bradshaw of Kennewick; a sister, Jean Miller of Prosser; and seven grandchildren.
Memorial funeral service will be at 11 a.m., Oct. 10, at Solid Rock Family Worship Center, 315 N. Fifth Ave., Yakima. Arrangements are by Smith Funeral Home.

Victor E. Robert, 83, of Yakima died Tuesday. Mr. Robert was born and raised in Yakima and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He worked in the family owned sheep and cattle ranch business until his retirement.

Betty Young, 81, of Prosser died Thursday at home. She was born in Buena and graduated from Toppenish High School. In 1958 she moved to Prosser, where she worked for several restaurants, including Ford's Grill and The Golden Rule. She retired from the Barn Restaurant at the age of 75 after 40 years.
Survivors include two daughters, Rhonda Tyacke and Sheila Rodriguez, both of Prosser; a son, Robert Young of Vale, Ore.; three brothers, Sonny Holter of Moses Lake, Ted Holter and Allen Holter, both of Toppenish; and four grandchildren.

Philip W. Anderson, 73, of Grandview died Thursday in Sunnyside. He was born in Grandview and attended the Seventh-day Adventist School in Grandview and the Auburn Adventist Academy as well as Walla Walla College. He and his family operated Anderson Motors and Anderson Equipment Co. in Grandview.
Survivors include his wife, Rose Anderson; a son, Don Anderson of Grandview, a daughter, Trish Rogers of Puyallup, Wash.; a stepdaughter, Kathleen Sharley of Issaquah, Wash.; a stepson, Randall Tayon of Bothell, Wash.; and three grandchildren. He is also survived by his father, Philip Anderson Sr. of Grandview.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Smith Funeral Home in Grandview, which is in charge of arrangements.
