Ms. Cook-McCormick was born in Portland.

Survivors include a brother, Stephan R. McCormick of Yakima; a sister, Cheryl McCormick of Yakima; and numerous step-sisters and stepbrothers.

A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in West Hills Memorial Park. Arrangements are by Keith and Keith Funeral Home.

Gayland D. McKinney
Announcement dated September 11, 2009
Gayland Dale McKinney, 58, of Kennewick died March 30 in Redlands, Calif. Mr. McKinney was born in Yakima. He worked in logging, was a welder and a service station attendant.

Survivors include a daughter, Nicole of Yakima; his mother, Genevieve of Union Gap; and a brother, Robert of Granger.

No services are planned. Arrangements were handled by Mark B. Shaw Chapel.

Hazel R. Moerman

Hazel Rowena Moerman, 86, of Yakima died Wednesday at Parkside Nursing Care Center.

Mrs. Moerman was born in Davenport, Wash.

Survivors include a daughter, Rowena Riley of Union Gap; a son, Bruce Moerman of Yakima; and two grandchildren.

No services are planned. Arrangements are by Keith and Keith Funeral Home.

Louis E. Tyrrell
Announcement dated September 12, 2009
Louis E. Tyrrell, 90, of Mill Creek, Wash., formerly of Selah and Yakima, died Wednesday at home.

Mr. Tyrrell was born in Selah and served in the Army during World War II. He worked at Pingrey Motors in Selah, retiring as the service manager after 37 years. He also worked for Langevin-Mussetter Funeral Home.

Survivors include four children, Teresa Swafford of San Antonio, Texas, Gini Ann Staton of Mukilteo, Wash., James Tyrrell of Chehalis, Wash., and Brian Tyrrell of Tumwater, Wash.; two sisters, Cecilia Lentz of Seattle and Dorothy Birkett of Medford, Ore.; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Viewing is today from noon to 5 p.m. and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, with a vigil at 3 p.m. Sunday at Langevin-Mussetter Funeral Home. Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Paul Cathedral. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.

Archie R. Craig

Archie R. Craig, 82, of Ellensburg died Friday at Yakima Regional Medical and Cardiac Center.

Mr. Craig was born in Licking, Mo., and moved to Ellensburg in 1947. He was a plumber and maintenance worker and retired from Twin City Foods.

Survivors include a son, Chester Craig of Redding, Calif.; two daughters, Connie Gordon of Thorp and Christina Woerner of Ellensburg; and several grandchildren.

Memorial observation will be private. Arrangements are by Affordable Funeral Care of Ellensburg.

Iral M. Dohrman
Announcement dated September 13, 2009
Iral M. Dohrman, 95, of Ellensburg died Friday.

She was born in Medford, Okla. She lived to Sunnyside for several decades and did accounting for Dohrman Auto Electric, the family business, from 1946 to 1976.

Survivors include a daughter, Roberta S. Fultz of Ridgecrest, Calif.; three sons, Leon I. Dohrman of Selah, Richard P. Dohrman of Ellensburg and Donald G. Dohrman of White Pass; 17 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and many great-great-grandchildren.

A viewing is 3 to 8 p.m. Monday at Smith Funeral Home in Sunnyside. The funeral is at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Smith Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Lower Valley Memorial Garden Cemetery in Sunnyside.

Michael A. Guillozet

Michael A. Guillozet, 70, of Yakima died Thursday.

Mr. Guillozet was born in Piqua, Ohio. He worked as machinist and project supervisor for Dowdy Aerospace. He also served in the Navy.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Guillozet of Yakima; two sons, Michael A. Guillozet of Orlando, Fla., and Carl E. Guillozet of Yakima; two daughters, De-Ann Marie Wikey of Selah and Jennifer Marie Shale of Yakima; two sisters, Ruth Ann of Daytona Beach, Fla., and Anita of Georgia; four grandchildren, two stepgrandchildren and three stepgreat-grandchildren.

Memorial services are pending. Arrangements are by Valley Hills Funeral Home in Yakima.

Mary E. Harrison

Mary E. Harrison, 89, of Yakima died Friday in Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital.

She was born in Morgantown, Ky. She spent 40 years in Prineville, Ore., before moving to Yakima in 2000. She was a homemaker and sold Avon.

Survivors include a son, Howard F. Harrison; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Services are pending. Arrangements are by Keith and Keith Funeral Home in Yakima.

Richard Ogburn

Richard Ogburn of Selah died Wednesday.

Mr. Ogburn was born in the Wenas Valley. He worked for 36 years at Pingrey Motor Co. in Selah and was a Navy veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Adeline Ogburn of Selah; a daughter, Deborath Lambert; two sons, Gary Ogburn and Daniel Ogburn; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Graveside inurnment services are at 11 a.m. Saturday at Wenas Cemetery, followed by a celebration of life at the Selah Civic Center. Arrangements are by Langevin-Mussetter Funeral Home in Yakima.

Elaine Snow

Elaine Snow, 83, of Sunnyside died Saturday.

Snow was born in Malta, Mont. She was a teacher in Sunnyside for 27 years. She also spent six years on the Sunnyside Planning Commission and 12 years on the Sunnyside City Council.

Survivors include a son, Paul Snow; two daughters, SueEllen Davis and Kristin Snorradottir; two brothers, Basil McLean and Douglas McLean; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Viewing is scheduled for 1 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Smith Funeral Home in Sunnyside. A memorial service is at 11 a.m. Friday at the United Methodist Church in Sunnyside.

Gordon H. Johnson
Announcement dated September 14, 2009
Gordon Howard Johnson, 81, died Wednesday in Sunnyside. Mr. Johnson was born in Seattle and served in the Army during the Korean War. He later moved to the Yakima area and settled in Sunnyside.

He worked in the heating and cooling business and was a founding member of the Yakima Valley Sports Car Club.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara; a son, Randy Johnson of Fall City, Wash.; a daughter, Tamera Posey of Seattle; three brothers, Robert, Duane and Stephen; and four grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Holy Trinity Church in Sunnyside. Arrangements are by Smith Funeral Home.

Elaine O. Snow

Elaine Olive Snow, 83, died Saturday in Sunnyside. Mrs. Snow was born in Malta, Mont., and lived in Idaho before moving to Washington.

A Sunnyside schools teacher for 27 years, she taught mostly Washington state history. She also served on the city's planning commission and City Council.

Survivors include a son, Paul Snow; two daughters, SueEllen Davis and Kristin Snorradottir; two brothers, Basil McLean and Douglas McLean; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Viewing will be from 1 p.m.. to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Sunnyside Smith Funeral Home. A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the United Methodist Church in Sunnyside.

Contributions in Mrs. Snow's name may be made to the Memorial Hall Fund of the Sunnyside United Methodist Church.

Harold Winckler

Harold Winckler, 80, died Saturday in Benton City. Mr. Winckler was born in Harrold, S.D. He later moved to Zillah and farmed there for many years.

Survivors include his wife, Myra; three sons, Lee Winckler and Lance Winckler, both of Kennewick, and Lewis Winckler of Mesa, Wash.; two daughters, Louise Boss of Yakima and Lora Winckler of Benton City; two brothers, Rienhold Winckler and Leonard Winckler of Zillah; a sister, Marie Ravine of Zillah; and six grandchildren.

A graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Zillah Cemetery. Arrangements are by Valley Hills Funeral Home.

George J. Trenkenschuh

George J. Trenkenschuh, 85, of Yakima died Tuesday. Mr. Trenkenschuh was born in Belfield, N.D., and moved to the Yakima area at an early age. He worked for the city of Yakima street department until his retirement.

Survivors include his wife, Catherine Trenkenschuh of Yakima; a son, Dennis Trenkenschuh of Yakima; three daughters, Shari Mocellin of Yakima, Linda Powers of Redmond, Wash., and Debra Ford of Selah; a brother, Joe Trenkenschuh of Yakima; a sister, Mary Newman of Selah; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from noon to 7 p.m. today, with a vigil beginning at 5:30 p.m. at Langevin-Mussetter Funeral Home. Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Paul Cathedral, Yakima. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.

Helen M. Owens

Helen Marie Owens, 64, of Yakima died Sept. 5 at home. Mrs. Owens was born in Thornfield, Mo., and worked at Tree Top for 30 years.

Survivors include three daughters, Christine Carter of Redding, Calif., Carolyn Olson of Selah and Karen Kendall of Tacoma; a sister, Ellen Moser of Nampa, Idaho; a brother, Floyd Smith of Arlington, Wash.; her companion, Howard Priddy of Yakima; four grandchildren and two stepgrandchildren.

Viewing will be from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at Keith and Keith Ninth Avenue Chapel. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Keith and Keith Terrace Heights Chapel. Burial will follow in Terrace Heights Memorial Park.

Jason William Doyle, 34, of Selah died Monday. Mr. Doyle was born in Yakima and served in the Navy.

Survivors include his wife, Mikeal; three daughters, Lahney, Kohlby and Mihley; his parents, Ray and Peggy Doyle of Selah; his grandparents, Ruth Doyle of Union Gap and William Doyle of Wapato; and a sister, Christy Doyle of Selah.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at West Valley Church of the Nazarene. Interment will follow in Terrace Heights Memorial Park. Arrangements are by Keith and Keith Funeral Home.

Donald Duwayne Syverson, 79, of Selah died Wednesday at Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital. Mr. Syverson was born in Claire City, S.D.

Survivors include his wife, Margaret Syverson; two sons, Michael Syverson of Kent, Wash., and Mitch Syverson of Yakima; a daughter, Marilyn Ganser of Selah; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. today at Shaw and Sons Funeral Directors. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Bonney Watson Funeral Home in SeaTac, Wash. Burial will follow in Washington Memorial Park.
