Lupe Aguilar, 79, of Granger died Monday in Yakima. Mrs. Aguilar was born in Los Angeles.
Survivors include five children, Irene Martinez, Arthur Aguilar, Lydia Aguilar, Edward Aguilar and Armida Valenzuela; three brothers, Ezekiel Granado, Johnny Granado and Richard Granado; five sisters, Josie Gomez, Connie Lopez, Esther Perez, Beatrice Provencio and Mary Urutia; nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in the Zillah Cemetery. Arrangements are by Valley Hills Funeral Home in Zillah.

Jesse Morán Castro, 19, of Toppenish died May 9 near Wapato. Mr. Castro was born in Yakima and graduated from Wapato High School in 2007. He was attending Central Washington University.
Survivors include his mother and father, Jose Manuel Moran and Adela Castro of Toppenish; a sister, Azucena Rangel of Wapato; two brothers, Cosme Moran and Rodrigo Moran, both of Toppenish; his grandfather, Salvador Moran of Wapato; and his grandmother, Carmen Suarez of Mexico.
Recitation of the rosary will be at 5 p.m. Sunday at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church in Wapato. Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Monday, also at St. Peter Claver, with concluding services and burial to follow in Reservation Community Memorial Park. Arrangements are by Merritt Funeral Home.

Daniel M. Simmons, 42, of Harrah died Sunday in Yakima. Mr. Simmons was born in Seattle and raised and educated in Harrah. He worked as a laborer in construction.
Survivors include three sons, Joshua, Daniel and Leland Simmons; and three daughters, Veronica, Latisha and Leilani Simmons.
Overnight services will be at the Wapato Longhouse tonight. A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Friday in the Zillah City Cemetery. Arrangements are by Colonial Funeral Home.

Fern Josephine Lempka, 100, of Yakima died Tuesday. Mrs. Lempka was born in Virginia, Neb., and was a resident of Yakima since 1969. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include a son, Marlyn Lempka of Kent, Wash., two daughters, Carolyn Lempka of Yorba Linda, Calif., and Joan Mertzmann of Lincoln, Neb.; a sister, Eva Smith of El Cajon, Calif.; seven grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be from 3 to 7 p.m. today at Shaw and Sons Funeral Directors. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday, also at Shaw and Sons. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.

Lester H. Patterson, 84, of Pasco died July 13 at Hillcrest Manor. Mr. Patterson was born in Wall, S.D., and served in the Army during World War II. He retired as chief steward of the Hanford Nuclear Process Operations.
Survivors include his wife, Rosemary Patterson of Pasco; a son, Tom Patterson; three daughters, Rana Clark, Sheree Knapp and Lee Ann Castleberry; a stepdaughter, Shawn Murrow; a stepson, Ross Murrow; and 10 grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at TRAC in Pasco. Arrangements are by Hillcrest Bruce Lee Memorial.

Mary June Buchanan, 88, of Walla Walla died Thursday at Park Manor Nursing Home. Mrs. Buchanan was born and raised in Froid, Mont. She lived in various towns in Montana and Texas and formerly lived in Yakima.
Survivors include a daughter, Lois Mettler of Waitsburg, Wash.; a son, Lee Buchanan of Billings, Mont.; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Bertha "Becky" Evelyn (Boylan) Conley, 77, of Prosser died Thursday at Hillcrest Manor in Sunnyside. Mrs. Conley was born in Ashburn, Mo., and settled in Prosser when she was 17. She worked for the Prosser Senior Center as head cook for several years.
Survivors include five children, Erma Harris of Prosser, Becky Miller and Christy Brooks of Yakima, Mike Conley of Richland and Geri Estep of Benton City; a brother, Larry Boylan of Prosser; a sister, Janice Fowler of Kelso, Wash.; 16 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Prosser Church of God. Concluding services and burial will follow in the Prosser Cemetery. Arrangements are by Prosser Funeral Home.

The longtime Yakima resident worked many years and retired as a teller for the National Bank of Commerce.
