Dorothy A. (Breckon) Meacheam
Went home to be with Jesus, September 29, 2001, after a long fight against cancer. She was always cheerful and brave in the face of her illness, and often comforted her family instead of the other way around. Dorothy was an active member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Yuma, Arizo- na and Orting Christian Church in Orting, Washington. She was a Past Matron of Naomi Chapter in Puyallup and Guiding Star Chapter in Sumner, Order of Eastern Star. She also served as Royal Matron of the Order of Amaranth of Puyallup and Yuma. She loved ceramics, crafts of all kinds, sewing, and especially her family. Dorothy leaves behind her husband of 54 years, Clifford L. Meacheam; her sister, Eleanor (George) Peter; daughters Karen (Gary) McCamant, Cindy (Dennis) Dargan, Helen (Stephen) Botsford; their son, Steven (Joan) Meacheam; 10 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews, and lots of dear friends. A memorial service will be held at Orting Christian Church, 112 Varner Street in Orting, Washington, at 2 p.m. on October 7th. Donations to the American Cancer Society instead of flowers would mean so much more to her memory. She loved the Lord with all her heart and proved this truth all of her life.

Norma J. Grovenburg
1933 - 2001 Norma J.Grovenburg, age 67, passed away Sunday, September 30th at Good Samaritan Hospital in Puyallup Washington. She was born in Chelsea, OK on Oct. 17th, 1933 and was preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy and by her father, Watie Patton. She is survived by her mother, Lorene Patton; husband, George Grovenburg; sons, Bob Grovenburg (Teresa), Dennis Grovenburg, Glenn Grovenburg (Megan); brothers, Jerry Patton (Judi) and Michael (Claudia); sisters, Peggy Brown (Ed) and Judy McCracken (Mike); four grandchildren, Michelle, Jay Michael, Zackery and Paige; and one great grandchild, Shebuel; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and in-laws. Norma enjoyed many things in her life, but her children and grandchildren gave her the most enjoyment and pride. She enjoyed traveling, hitting the knick-knack shops and antiquing. Many friends will sadly miss her. Services will be held at South Hill Christian Church, 12311 151st E Puyallup, WA at 2:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, donations to American Heart Association are appreciated.

Arthur L. Pimentel
Arthur L. Pimentel was born July 22, 1918 in Santa Maria, CA and died Sept. 30, 2001 in Lakewood, WA. Arthur was a 31-year veteran of the USAF and served in three wars. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Christine; daughter Sandy (Ron) Massio of Roseville, CA; sons Peter and Michael Pimentel; three grandchildren, Michele Massio (Joshua) Volkert, and Justin and Christopher Warren. Arthur was preceded in death by a daughter, Deborah Warren. During his retirement he enjoyed traveling and watching sports. He will be greatly missed by everyone who loved him. Funeral services will be 4:00 pm Friday in the Mt. View Garden Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the American Lung Assoc. Arrange- ments by Mountain View Funeral Home, 584-0252. “Rest in peace, Gray Eagle.”

James Thomas Clark, Sr.
Born in Seattle, August 11, 1925, passed away at home on September 29, 2001, following a courageous 3-year battle from a stroke. Jim was a caring husband, father, brother and grandfather who is survived by his beloved wife of 39 years, Colleen; son, James Clark, Jr.; daughter, Karen Schanberger; step-sons, Robert Burke and Steve Silver; step-daughter, Laurieanne Adam. He is also survived by eight grandchildren: Kelly, Windy, Danny, Jared, Kelly, Taylor, Michael and Kirsten. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Elsie; brother, Maynard; wife, Gloria and daughter, Kimberlee. Jim grew up in West Seattle and graduated from Fife High School, through which he maintained his close friendships with his involvement on the reunion committee. He proudly served in the U.S. Coast Guard during WWII, then in 1946 began his 37-year career with the Bell Telephone Company in Puyallup, until his retirement in 1983. One of his great joys was the life long friendships and support from this telephone co-workers. He was a life member of the Telephone Pioneers of America - Charles B. Hopkins Chapter, where he held the office of Vice President. In support of the Pioneers he donated items from his hobby of wood working for their local fund-raisers. Also a 50-year member of the Puyallup Elk’s Lodge #1450. James’ greatest passion was his yard and garden in which he proudly worked every day in order to have the greenest lawn possible. Memorial services will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 6th at the Mt. Cross Lutheran Church, 8902 40th Street West, University Place. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Mt. Cross Lutheran Church or as Jim has done regularly for over 40 years, a donation can be made to your local blood bank. Arrangements by Gaffney Cassedy Allen & Buckley King.

Clayton L. Lupton
Clayton LaVerne Lupton, born in Sweetwater, TX on 20 August 1913, passed away 29 September 2001 in Tacoma. Clayton was raised in Montana, moved to Taco- ma as a young man and graduated from the College of Puget Sound. Clayton married the former Mary Elizabeth O’Loughlin, who preceded him in death in 1996. He resided in the Tacoma/Seattle area for over 60 years. He is survived by sons William B. (Gale) Lupton, Silverdale; Thomas B. (Barbara) Lupton, FL; Michael B. (Sheila) Lupton, CO; sister Betty M. Drost, Tacoma; brother Richard N. Lupton, Seattle; 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren. A gathering of family and friends will be held at 1 p.m., 20 October 2001, at Skyline Village Community Center, 5702 N. 33rd St., Tacoma. Dolores Ehreth
Dolores Ehreth passed away on September 25, 2001. She is survived by her husband Leo, sons Leo (wife Karen) and Michael (wife Nancy), grandsons Daniel and Paul, brother David Oller, sister-in- law Stella Oller, and many nieces and nephews. Floyd Reppert, born May 10, 1912 in Fairmont, ND, passed away peacefully Sept. 30, 2001 in University Place. He is survived by wife of 55 years Vivian, son Richard Reppert, stepson Gary Hurd, daughters Jacquelyn Blackwood and Tana Belcher, 3 sisters, 4 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Gone Fishing Born June 28, 1938, died Sept. 29, 2001. He was a loving husband of 25 years, and father. He was the husband of Marcia Lynn Burk and father of Jonathan, of Tacoma. Family includes Vicky (Larry) Thornton, Betty Phillips, Kathleen Burk, Alfred Wesley Burk Jr. and Kerri Burk, all of Klamath Falls, OR; a lot of grandkids and great-grandkids.
