Robert Warren Barnhart
Bob was born January 13, 1925, died June 29, 1998. Beloved husband of 46 years to Gloria Barnhart of Burien. Loving father to Robin McGehee of Burien and Rick Barnhart of Tacoma. Proud Grandpa to Kelly and Robby McGehee. He retired from Pacific Northwest Bell after 38 years of service. He was always interested in his children's activities and was always willing to help coach or work at their projects. Funeral Service 1:00 PM Friday at BONNEY-WATSON Washington Memorial, SeaTac. Ronald Ault
1920 - 1998
Ronald Ault was born in Ayrshire, Iowa, and passed away June 29th after a long illness. He was a veteran of WWII, serving in the Army Air Corps in the South Pacific. He grew up in Des Moines, Iowa, and attended Drake University. He had lived in Tacoma for 37 years, where he worked in automobile sales. His greatest love outside his family was his golf game. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Ethel; son Ron Ault of Tacoma, son Jim Ault and wife Janie of Bellevue, and son Bob Ault and wife Lenee of Renton; grandson Rob Ault; and granddaughter Annmarie Farris and husband Mark, and great granddaughter Taylor Kaye Farris. He is also survived by three sisters, Doris Mitchell of Flint, MI, Ardis Douglas of Fresno, CA, and Ronalee McGhie of Las Vegas, NV, and many nieces and nephews. He will be missed by his family and friends. A Memorial Service will be held in the Tacoma Lutheran Home Chapel, Monday, July 6 at 2:00 p.m. The family wishes to sincerely thank everyone at the Tacoma Lutheran Home for their special care while he was there. Georgiana A. Miller

Georgiana Alice Overmire Miller, born June 6, 1919 in Sioux City, Iowa, the youngest of three daughters to Ralph and Alice Overmire. Wife of 45 years to Harry L. Miller, who is a retired Teamster #313 and RV'er. She had worked at Safeway and was a member of the Pierce County Woman's Club. She loved to "cook", "can", "sew" and was lucky in "Reno". She leaves behind two children, Beverly J. Caudell (Ron), and James T. Brandt (Nancy); 9 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. At her request, no services will be held. Survived by son Rory Maitland (Shelli); daughter Tracy Maitland-Perkins; grandchildren Jerry and Ruscell; mother Annabelle Parks and stepfather Alvin Parks; stepsisters Sally Richardson and Susan Willard, all of the Tacoma area; brother Harold Littler (Thelma) of Austin; sister Terri Ann Dirteater (Dotie) of Oklahoma. William (Bill) Kempton
William L. Kempton, a Pierce County resident for 38 years, died Saturday, June 27, 1998 in Seattle. He was 66. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, receiving the Good Conduct Medal, Korean Service Medal and United Nations Service Medal. William is survived by wife Leta Kempton of Puyallup; son Mark and Patty of Puyallup; 2 daughters, Julie R. and Mark Liebendorfer of Burien, Sharon L. Heaton of Tacoma; 10 grandchildren. A Graveside service with Military Honors will be held Thursday, July 2, 1998, 1:00 PM at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, WA. Memorial service at 3:00 PM at Powers Funeral Home in Puyallup. Holly Marie Miller

98 Holly Marie Miller, 18, a recent College graduate, was a victim of an untimely death. Holly Miller grew up in Tacoma, attending school on the eastside, and middle school at Goodman in Gig Harbor, where she won President Bush's Academic Fitness Award. She completed her high school studies at age 16 and proceeded directly with determination and commitment to Pierce College, where she was to receive her 2 year Liberal Arts degree on June 12, 1998. Holly will be greatly missed by her mother and best friend, Sandra Miller, of Lakewood, and father Peter Connick, of Seattle, who will miss Holly's ability to turn a simple song into a message from her heart. The Connick families of Garden City, Ardsley, and Rensselaer, NY, and Coral Springs, FL, will remember her sweet voice as well as the Daniele family of White Plains, NY. Holly Miller will be remembered by her family and friends as a "trusted soul" and "truest friend", especially by her grandmother, Emily Miller of Tacoma. Holly Miller had no other siblings and is survived by her aunt Barbara Cox, of Seattle, who encouraged her singing ability, and husband Stewart, along with their children, Seth, Sean, Steve, and Dorey of Olympia, and husband Bruce. Her aunt Zona Garnett, RN, of Gig Harbor, godmother to Holly and college mentor, will always keep her close to her heart along with sons, Glen, John and Curtis. Holly's uncle, Bill Miller, of Tacoma, will remember her commitment to education excellence and his heartfelt appreciation in providing Holly with her first "high-tech" computer and will be missed by his son, Josh, of Federal Way. Best and devoted friend of childhood through teens, Nashika Forsman, of Lakewood, will miss Holly and the late night telephone talks along with Holly's ability to forgive easily and openly with a trusting heart. Services are scheduled for July 1st, Wednesday, at the Calvary Cemetery Chapel at 11:00 a.m. followed by graveside prayers with Father Gary Weisenburger of St. Nicholas Parish, Gig Harbor. Officiating and arrangements by Piper-Morley. In lieu of flowers, a trust fund in Holly Miller's name has been set up at any Key Bank.

Allen Robert Smith
Bob was born March 23, 1919 in Kansas. passed away June 27, 1998 in Tacoma. An automotive mechanic most of his life, retired from Titus Will Ford after 25 years of service. Survivors include wife Susan; children Jerrold L. Smith and Judith T. Smith, both of Texas, Robert J. Smith and Sydnay J. Atkinson; brothers Ivan O. Smith, California, and twin Elbert N. Smith, Colorado; nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society, 1551 Broadway, Tacoma. Alyce Croisant passed away June 26, 1998 in Vancouver, WA. She was born to William and Ethyl Youngchild in Oregon City, OR. Alice graduated from Federal Way High School. Alyce had a gift shop in Seaside, OR, called La Mexicana. She also was a buyer for Robinson's Dept. Store in San Diego, CA. Alyce was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Clayton, Howard and Robert; and a sister, Sally Strojan. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Robert; her sisters, Faye O'Neal, Dolly Villeneuve and Rosemary Inderbitzen; and brothers Harold, Casper and Wesley Youngchild; and many nieces and nephews. Burial was in Vancouver, WA.

Ethel Joyce Jordan
Our beloved Ethel Joyce Jordan, who has lived that last 60 years of her life in Eatonville, Washington, has passed on at the age of 98, surrounded by loving friends and family. She remains in the hearts of her many friends, and for the past year has flourished in loving care and friendship at Eatonville Manor with the support of Dr. Tom Van Eaton. She was an active member of her community for many years, including the United Methodist Church, Children's Orthopedic Guild, Order of Eastern Star and Bridge Club. Her husband, Cecil, preceded her in death in 1971. Her love and vitality are passed on to the surviving members of her family, which includes her daughter, Marjorie J. Butler and son-in-law Virgil R. Butler of Eatonville, WA; her son, Donald W. Jordan of Hartsville, OH; her 5 granddaughters and 11 great grandchildren. The family suggests memorials to the Eatonville United Methodist Church, Children's Orthopedic Hospital of Seattle, or Eatonville Manor.
