Linda Carol (Eberhardt) Rose Gravino
Linda was born Jan. 22, 1943 in Tacoma, WA. Graduated from the original Clover Park High School in June, 1961. Died on Jan. 13, 1998 at the age of 54 at home in Westminster, CA, from complications of cancer. Preceded in death by mother Linnie Jean Erixson, and father Russell A. Eberhardt. Linda is survived by 3 brothers, Lawrence (Patricia) Eberhardt, Darrell Erixson, David (Laura) Erixson; a sister Cindy Lalim; a daughter, Karin (Graeme) Dutton; a son, Kenneith (Tracey) Rose; 2 granddaughters, Johara and Candice Dutton; 4 nieces and 3 nephews; and many friends. Cremation and memorial service will be held in Westminster, CA. Memorial service and interment will be in Tacoma in the spring. Announcement of services will be made at that time.

Marilyn Nadeen Nagel
Marilyn Nadeen Nagel was born on the 18th of November, 1929. She passed away the 16th of January, 1998. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Norm. She belonged to St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Graham. Marilyn is survived by her children, Susan (George) Shook, Karen (Donnie) Painter; brother Doug (Annie) Moe; and special sister Ruthie Hazen; grandchildren Kris, Jason, Sarah, Tyler, Brianne; special niece Kimmy; nephew Chris; and great-granddaughter Ashley. Visitation will be Thursday from 1pm-9pm. Funeral Services will be held 2 p.m. Friday, January 23, 1998 in the Mt. View Valley Chapel. Mary Moore Lynam
Mary Moore Lynam, born Jan. 9, 1902 in Glasgow, Scotland, died Jan. 18, 1998 in Tacoma. She was preceded in death by her husband, Angelo Lynam, and son Edward. She is survived by daughter Betty (Al) Orlando, Tacoma; grandchildren: Mary (Ross) Goedge, David Merritt; great grandchildren: Lonnie, William, Laramie, Cody, Necole, Kandy; great great grandchildren: Ariel, Nattalie, Roman, Brianne, Andria, Byanca; many nieces and nephews; very good friends, Ann, Hap, Lois, Ruby and Helen. The family wishes to thank the staff at The Grande Vista and Park Rose Care Center for their excellent care. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, Jan. 22, 1998, 11:00 a.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church. Rosary will be recited Wednesday, Jan. 21, 1998, 7:00 p.m. at the 1002 South Yakima Avenue Chapel. Viewing will be all day at the funeral home on Wednesday. The family suggests memorials may be made to St. Patrick's School. Interment at Calvary Cemetery. Muriel Taylor McKay "Mimi" 1909 - 1998
Muriel "Mimi" Taylor McKay, local artist, died peacefully at Bel Air Convalescent Center on January 13, 1998 of complications following a stroke. She was 88. Muriel Catherine Taylor was born in Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada on August 19, 1909. She was an executive secretary both in the timber and insurance business. Muriel married Donald F. McKay in 1939 in Seattle. They settled in Oregon and had 3 children, Margaret, David and Alan. She was active in the League of Women Voters, Public Health Nursing, Civil Defense, Easter Seals, American Cancer Society, Tacoma Philharmonic, YWCA, Wauna Club, and the Episcopal Church. Muriel developed a process of pressing flowers in fiberglass laminated with polyester resin and formed light weight objects that included dishes, sunlights and trays. Mimi enjoyed a variety of flowers which she grew in her garden in Old Tacoma. She will be best remembered for her joyful spirit and her dedication to her family and friends. She is survived by David of Mercer Island, Alan (Jayne) of Burbank, and two grandsons, Andrew and Nathan. She was predeceased by Margaret and Don. A memorial service will be held Saturday, Jan. 24 at 10 a.m. at Christ Episcopal Church. The family requests that memorials be made to the gardens at Christ Church. Phillip Zane Fogle Phil Fogle, "PZ", was born in Troy, Ohio, June 19, 1916, and lived 81 great years before dying on January 16, 1998. Phil's special personality and character endeared him to many surviving family members and friends. He will be especially missed by his wife and friend of 52 years, Nona Geelhart Fogle, and his 4 daughters: Lynda (Gary) Smith, Kathi (Loren) Wambach, LuAnn (Jerry) Iselin, all from Sumner, and Kym (Glen) Zatterberg from Tacoma. Phil enjoyed his grandchildren: Annette, Jeramee, Brett, Nickolas, Haley, and Raimey, and several great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his two sisters, Maeanna Morningstar of Springfield, Ohio, and Jane Adams of Edgewood, WA, several sisters and brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews. After his tour of duty with the army during WWII, Phil spent 30 years as a civilian employee at McChord AFB, then 10 more with the Puyallup School District. Phil was a sports enthusiast and enjoyed camping, fishing, and all activities he could spend with his loving family. Vera Harrison, 84, of Dupont, WA. died on Sun., Jan. 18, 1998. She was born Aug. 21, 1913 in Tropico, CA. She was preceded in death by her daughter Julie Ellen Brown. She is survived by 4 grandsons, 2 nieces and 3 nephews. Interment will be at New Tacoma Cemetery. Graveside services are pending.

Doris W. Gee
Doris W. Gee, 85, a Tacoma resident since 1992, died January 13, 1998. A former resident of the Centralia area, she was a member of the Eastern Star and served several terms as Matron, and was a member of the Lady Firemen. Doris is survived by children, Beverly Dole, Tacoma, Arthur Gee, Umpqua, OR, Daniel Gee, Monroe, WA; sister Jane Zimmer, Salkum, WA; brothers, Robert Bleecker, Satsop, WA, James Bleecker, Shelton, WA, Burke Bleecker, Colorado; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Ellen G. McLaughlin
Ellen G. McLaughlin, born April 17, 1904 to Virgil and Bertha (Zehnder) Bundy in Tacoma passed away January 16, 1998. Ellen worked for the Tacoma Gas Company where she met her husband, Charlie. They were married on May 10, 1927. A woman ahead of her time, during World War II she worked for Pacific Northwest Bell as a rate operator for over 20 years. After her retirement, she worked parttime for the University of Puget Sound. Ellen was a member of St. Leo's Catholic Church for over 70 years, Past-President of St. Leo's Mothers Club, and a member of the Telephone Pioneers. Ellen is preceded in death by her husband, Charles A. McLaughlin, 2 grandsons, and 1 great-grandson. She is survived by 3 daughters: Kathleen Andersen, Mary Ellen (Stan) Torgerson, and Jeanne Greinke, 9 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, January 21, 1998 at 12:10 pm at St. Leo's Catholic Church. The family suggests memorials to St. Leo's Building Fund or the Tacoma Lutheran Home. Harold Wayne Ecker
Harold Wayne Ecker, 74, was called to God on January 16, 1998 at the Seattle VA Hospital. He was a kind and generous man, always willing to help others. He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church and a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans. He enlisted in the US Air Force January 3, 1942. While in the Air Force he received the Asiatic Pacific Ribbon with one Bronze Star, Presidential Unit Citation, Good Conduct Medal and six overseas bars. He was discharged on August 24, 1945. Harold is survived by: wife, Elsie; daughter Maria Prom and husband Donavon; grandchildren, Dawn, Carol, and Chelsea; brother, Robert Hayes; a niece and numerous nephews. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, January 21, 1998 11:00 am St. Patrick's Catholic Church. Rosary will be recited Tuesday January 20, 1998 7:00 pm also at the church. John Cologerou, Sr.
John Cologerou, Sr.-founder and co-owner, retired of Johnny's Seafood Company of Tacoma, was born in Tacoma, Washington, June 14, 1914, passed away January 17, 1998, at Park Rose Care Center after a long illness. He is survived by wife Eileen (Pat), son John Jr. (Katrina), daughter Carol, grandson Jon, granddaughter Nicole, sisters Kay Komp and Athena McCutchan, brother-in-law Vernon Bishop, niece Marion Palas, nephews Robert McCutchan and Ron and Gary Bishop. John was a member of the Tacoma Elks #174, United Commercial Travelers, Afifi, Scottish Rite Bodies,and Destiny Lodge #197. The family wishes to express their appreciation and thanks for all who attended to his care at home and at Park Rose Care Center. Graveside services will be held Thursday, 11:30 A.M., January 22, 1998 at Mountain View Funeral Home. Louida "Peggy" Fischer
Louida "Peggy" Fischer, 86, passed away January 17, 1998 in Tacoma from Alzheimers Disease. Born on May 5, 1911 in Tenn., Louida had resided in the Tacoma area since 1945. In 1971, Louida retired from the Nalley Pickle Plant. She is survived by her husband John; 3 sons: Fletcher (Bea) Parrish, Stanley (Vicki) Parrish, James (Jean) Parrish, all of the Tacoma area; 2 granddaughters, 5 grandsons, 13 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Tuesday January 20, 1998 from 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. at Tacoma Funeral home 9212 Chambers Creek Rd West, Tacoma, WA.
