Linda Lou (Peterson) Hull, 60, of Benton City, passed away June 20, 2005 at her home in Benton City. She was born January 11, 1945 in Austin, Minnesota, to Robert and Hazel Peterson. She lived on a farm near Barrett, MN until age 4 when the family began their westward migration, arriving in Walla Walla when she was 5.
Linda grew up in Walla Walla and attended Walla Walla public schools. She then earned her Master’s Degree in K-12 Education and Special Education and was employed by the Kennewick School District.
She was a single parent for 9 ½ years, raising four children alone, before meeting Thomas M. Hull, Sr. in 1988 and marrying on July 4, 1989. She was known as La Madre, having three daughters and one son, and three step-sons and one step-daughter, and therefore many grandchildren.
Linda was not a prideful person but she had a wonderful relationship with her Lord Jesus Christ was a member of Victory Christian Center in Benton City. She loved teaching the school children and really enjoyed visiting or being visited by the grandchildren. She also enjoyed camping the going to the beach.
Linda is survived by her husband Thomas; daughters Brenda Brigham, Suzanne Krinsky and Karin Kalb; son Kevin Hodges; step-daughter Cherié Griffith; step-sons, Thomas Hull, Jr., Lon Hull and Dane Hull; sister, Judy Geraghty; brothers, Robert, Richard and John Peterson. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hazel A. and Robert E. Peterson.
Memorial services will be 1:00 PM Saturday, June 25, 2005 at Victory Christian Center, 313B 3rd St., Benton City. Linda requested no viewing.
If desired, instead of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Tri-Cities Cancer Center.
Marie Margaret (Templeton) Earl

Marie Margaret Templeton Earl, 85, of West Richland, passed away April 27, 2005 in Richland, Washington. She was born March 12, 1920 in Springfield, Missouri to Earl and Ora Templeton. She was raised in Henderson, Colorado and lived in the Tri-Cities since 1991.
Marie took great pride in family get-togethers and in seeing the achievements and accomplishments of her children. She loved her two dogs, cooking and going to casinos.
She is survived by her children, Kathryn Baumgarten and husband George, Skip Sandberg and wife May, Brownie Sandberg and wife Sue, Andy Anderson and wife Kristi and Tonia Boyanousky and husband Brian; 13 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
Marie was preceded in death by son, Howard Sandberg; husbands, Larry Sandberg, Wyatt Anderson and Everett Earl; parents, Earl and Ora Templeton; two brothers.
A special thank you is extended to Dr. Jeremy Blanchard and the staff of the Critical Care Unit at Kadlec Medical Center for their kindness and compassion.
A Celebration of Marie’s Life will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2005 at the family home, 43904 E. Shannon Lane, West Richland. Please drop in starting at 3:00 PM.
Marie Joan (Krogman) Mallow

Marie Joan (Krogman) Mallow, age 94, born February 23, 1910 in Teutopolis, IL, passed away on March 14, 2004 in Richland.
She is survived by her daughter Margene Mary Mallow; son Michael John Mallow; grandchildren, Michelle Louise Scott, Shannon Marie Mallow and many nieces and nephews.
Marie was preceded in death by her parents Louise and John Krogman; husband August W. Mallow and her son Richard Dean Mallow.
Marie was raised in Hoven, SD and attended St. John’s nursing academy. Her and August were married
in June 1934. They came to Richland in 1944.
She dedicated her time to the Church and organized many fundraisers and bizarres. She also dedicated many hours to get Christ the King built, started many social clubs, annual events, and opened her doors to many youths and soldiers. Marie was a pillar of the community and a dedicated parishioner.
Marie was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She touched the heart and soul of all she met. She will be greatly missed and remembered forever, she is now resting in the Lord’s hands.
Visitation will be held at Einan’s Funeral Home on Thursday March 18 from 4:00pm-8:00pm with the Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00pm on Thursday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday March 20 at 2:00pm at Christ the King Catholic Church with visitation from 1:15pm until the Mass. Services will conclude at the church with committal at a later date at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Matilda K. (Tillie) Winsor

Matilda (Tillie) Winsor
Matilda (Tilllie) Winsor, 87, passed away on October 12, 2003 at the Hospice House. She was born September 26, 1916 in Sweet Briar, N.D. to Pius and Kathyrn Zueger.
Tillie married
George Bender in 1933 and had seven children. They moved to Yakima on August 13, 1937. George was killed during WWII. Tillie married
Laurence Winsor September 3, 1948. They had three more children. She enjoyed crocheting, baking, and her grandchildren, then later her great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband Laurence Winsor. Daughters and sons-in-law, Carolyn and Carl Baker, Carlene and Chuck Williams, Shirley and Lee Bazer, Loretta and Bob Mix and Valerie and Monte Wilson. Sons and daughters-in-law Don and Mary Bender, Larry and Sandi Winsor and 21 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren.
Tillie was preceded in death by son Richard Bender, infant children, Kenny and Dorothy Bender.
A memorial service will be held Friday October 17 at 3:00pm at the Seventh Day Adventist Church, 1807 McMurray in Richland.
Cecil Clay Gosney

Cecil Clay Gosney, 86, of Richland, died Monday, May 14, 2001, at the Life Care Center of Richland. He was born to William R. and Ethel M. (Neff) Gosney on March 8, 1915, in Hoover, Missouri.
Cecil met his wife, Hope, while working on the railroad in Seward, Alaska. The family moved to the Tri-Cities in 1944 where Mr. Gosney was a nuclear operator at Hanford until retiring from Rockwell in 1980.
He loved to golf and was club champion at Tri-City Country Club, Sham Na Pum and the West Richland Golf Course. He was an excellent horse shoe player and was the Missouri State Champion. He enjoyed bowling. He started a band in the Tri-Cities and played on the radio for a number of years. He also sang with Cab Calloway several times.
Cecil is survived his wife of 62 years, Hope of Richland; 3 sons, Clay and wife, Alana, , of Richland, Keith of Chandler, AZ, Timothy and wife, Diane, of West Richland; 6 grandsons, 1 granddaughter; and 10 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his son, Ron; brother, Elmer; sister, Goldie; and his parents.
At his request, there will be no public service.
Harvey "Al" Allen Anthis
June 20, 1941 - September 15, 2005

Harvey “Al” Anthis, Pasco, passed away Thursday, September 15, 2005.
Al was born on June 20, 1941 in Twin Falls, Idaho to Robert and Dorothy Anthis. The family moved to the Tri-Cities in 1957. Al graduated from Pasco High School in 1959 and received his teaching degree from Central Washington University in 1970. He married
Sandi McKune in 1962 and they had two children, Jodi and Dave.
Al began working at Columbia Basis College in 1970 as the machinist instructor, where he taught his beloved students for 30 years before retiring on December 30, 1999.
Al is survived by his wife Bonnie; daughters Jodi and spouse Kevin and Kristi and spouse John; sons David and spouse Rosie and Sean and spouse Ernie. Between the four children there are 13 grandchildren: Jeremy, Brandon, K.C., Jordon, Cameron, Courtney, Mack, Michaela, Conner, Bryce, Abbey, Hailey and Logan.
He was also survived by his loving mother, Dorothy; brothers Bob and wife Dee, and Walt and wife Janet; and sister Barbara Black and her husband Dick. “Uncle Harv” is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Al was an amazing teacher who will be remembered by all of his students for his Friday afternoon BBQ’s and annual campouts. His family will miss the many camping, fishing and rafting trips that they loved so much and also the occasional marshmallow roasts held in his own backyard. All people will remember Al for his great sense of humor, advice and entertaining life stories.
A memorial service will be held on September 23, 2005 at the Columbia Basin College gymnasium at 1:00 PM. Immediately following the service a gathering in celebration of Al’s life will be held at the Masonic Temple located at 1718 West Sylvester St. in Pasco.
In lieu of flowers, a scholarship fund has been established in his name at C.B.C.
George Baumgarten
June 30, 1935 - September 26, 2005

He was born June 30, 1935 in Limon, Colorado to Ellen and Herman Baumgarten.
He loved and played sports until graduating from Limon H.S. in 1953. He lived in Denver, CO where he met Kathryn. They eloped in 1957. They were employed at Denver Chicago Trucking and started raising their family in Westminster, CO.
George continued to stay with the trucking industry while they lived in Grand Junction, CO for fifteen years. In 1977 he brought his family to Richland, WA when he became a salesman for Tri-City Fence.
In 1981 he helped his wife establish Baum’s Candy in Richland. In 1982, in order to support his wife’s “expensive hobby”, he was one of the first group of bus drivers at Ben Franklin Transit. He stayed there until retirement in 2000. Never completely retired, he puttered around the candy store where he was known as “Mr. Chocolate.”
To know him was to love him, as did his passengers, co-workers (who referred to him as “the old goat, ”) friends and, especially, family.
George was a good sport with a kind and gentle spirit. A bigger heart could not be found. He’d give anyone the shirt off his back and expect nothing in return. He was an avid sports fan, mostly football and the Green Bay Packers. He was also a World War II history buff. He loved working in his garage with his dog and constant companion “Belle” at his side.
His recent illness was more than his heart could handle. He passed away at Kadlec Medical Center on September 26, 2005 with an excellent staff and his family by his bedside.
He leaves behind his wife of 48 years, Kathryn; daughter Brenda (Eric Moya) and granddaughters Aris and Tess of Denver, CO; son Scott Baumgarten (Linda) of Benton City, WA and grandchildren Isaac, Amber (Seth Williams), Brandi (Garrett Sallee) and Stephanie (Terry Baker); son Jeff Baumgarten (Donna) of Richland, WA and grandchildren Cody, Elizabeth and Michael; four great-grandchildren; brother Fred Williams (Judy) of Buffalo, WY; several nieces and nephews, brothers- and sisters-in-law, and many good friends.

Memorial service will be held 3:00 PM Friday, September 30, 2005 at Einan’s Funeral Home.
