ELMA -- Dorothy Dybvig of Elma died Sunday, Sept. 4, 2011, at home. She was 79.
A celebration of her life will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 8, at Whiteside Family Mortuary in Elma.
Don Coffman
A memorial service for former Harborite Don T.C. Coffman, who died June 15 at Chignik Lagoon, Alaska, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 17, at Liberty Baptist Church, 909 Dartmouth Ave., in Fircrest.
Memorial donations are suggested to the Humane Society for Tacoma, 2608 Center Street, Tacoma, WA 98409 or to PAWS, P.O. Box 451, Aberdeen, WA 98520.
Arrangements were by the Cremation Society of Alaska.
Connie M. Balderston
Connie Marie Balderston, a resident of Aberdeen and former processor for U.S. Bank in Portland, Ore., died Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2011, at Grays Harbor Community Hospital in Aberdeen. She was 52.
There will be a celebration of her life at a later date at Fern Hill Funeral Home in Aberdeen. A full obituary with details will follow in The Daily World.
Lynda J. Maxwell
OLYMPIA -- Former Harborite Lynda Jean Maxwell died Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2011, at Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia. She was 59.
She had worked at Grays Harbor Community Hospital before going to Olympia 30 years ago.
A memorial service is being planned for next week.
Arrangements are by Fern Hill Funeral Home of Aberdeen.
Raymond Hickman
Raymond I. Hickman, a longtime resident of Hoquiam and Hoquiam Policemen, died on Wednesday, September 7, 2011, at Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia. He was 75.
Arrangements are pending and a complete obituary will follow in a later edition of The Daily World.
Arrangements are by the Coleman Mortuary in Hoquiam.
Michael E. Hyde
A memorial service for former Aberdeen resident Michael Edward Hyde, who died Aug. 16 at his home in Centralia, will be held at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 10, at the Central Park Neighborhood Church.
Arrangements are by Harrison Family Mortuary of Aberdeen.
Gloria A. Leighty
Gloria Aileen Leighty, a lifetime resident of the Aloha/Pacific Beach area, died Saturday, Sept. 3, 2011, at Grays Harbor Community Hospital in Aberdeen. She was 73.
She worked as a postal clerk for more than 31 years, mainly in Aloha and Pacific Beach.
A service is being planned and will be announced in a later edition of The Daily World.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Pacific Beach Community Church or the American Heart Association.
Arrangements are by the Coleman Mortuary in Hoquiam.
Helen C. Green
Helen Carter Green, a resident of the Hoquiam area for the past 75 years, died Friday, Sept. 2, 2011, at the age of 89.
She took pride in being a wife, mother, and homemaker.
At her request there will be no funeral. There will be a private inurnment service at Sunset Memorial Park in Hoquiam.
The family suggests donations be made to the American Diabetes Association.
Cremation arrangements are by the Coleman Mortuary in Hoquiam.
Francis W. Decker
Francis William Decker, a lifelong Elma resident, died Saturday, Sept. 3, 2011, at home. He was 82.
A graveside service with military honors will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 7, at the Masonic cemetery in Elma. A potluck to celebrate his life will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 10, at the Smith residence, 90 Bush Creek Road in Elma.
Arrangements are by Whiteside Family Mortuary in Elma.
Carl N. Keel
OLYMPIA -- Carl Neil Keel, a longtime Elma resident, died Sunday, Sept. 4, 2011, at Capital Medical Center in Olympia. He was 86.
A graveside service with military honors will begin at 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 9, at Odd Fellows cemetery in Elma. A reception at the Elma Eagles will be held immediately following the graveside service.
Arrangements are by Whiteside Family Mortuary in Elma.
Rosemarie Barker
PORT ANGELES -- Former Aberdeen resident Rosemarie H. Barker died Thursday, Sept. 1, 2011, in Port Angeles. She was 85.
Recitation of the Rosary will be at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 7, in the chapel at Harrison Family Mortuary in Aberdeen. A funeral Mass will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 8, at St. Mary's Catholic Church with a graveside committal service to follow at Fern Hill cemetery.
Joseph J. McLeod
Joseph James McLeod, a longtime Hoquiam area resident, died Sunday, Sept. 4, 2011, at Grays Harbor Community Hospital in Aberdeen. He was 80.
Arrangements are by the Coleman Mortuary in Hoquiam.
Walter Mullin
Longtime Harborite and Idaho native Walter P. Mullin died Friday, Sept. 2, 2011, at Grays Harbor Health and Rehabilitation Center in Aberdeen. He was 92.
He was a longtime mechanic for Aloha Lumber and the Port of Grays Harbor.
A celebration of his life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 17, at the Harbor Calvary Chapel in Aberdeen.
Arrangements are by the Coleman Mortuary in Hoquiam.

Lola Belle Ryan of Aberdeen died Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2011, at the Grays Harbor Community Hospital in Aberdeen. She was 92.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, Oct. 3, at the Fern Hill cemetery in Menlo.

Kelly R. Dahlstrom
OLYMPIA -- Former Pacific Beach resident Kelly Roy Dahlstrom of Olympia died Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2011, in Olympia. He was 70.

Helen M. (Sears) Farrar
ELMA -- Helen Marjorie (Sears) Farrar of Elma died Saturday, Sept. 24, 2011, at home. She was 78.
She was a nurse at Mark Reed Hospital in McCleary until 1974 when she became the school nurse for the Elma School District, retiring in December 1997.
A celebration of her life will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 8, at the Elma Eagles Hall. Donations are suggested to the Satsop School Cancer Relay for Life Team, P. O. Box 96, Satsop, WA 98583.
