William Goldy
SHELTON -- Longtime Harborite William C. Goldy died Sunday, Nov. 7, 2010 in Shelton. He was 89.
He had worked as a logger and truck driver.
At his request there will be no memorial service.
Arrangements are by Forest Funeral Home in Shelton.
Lowell "Doe" Curley
Lowell S. "Doe" Curley, a resident of Taholah and an enrolled Quinault Indian Nation member, died Friday, Nov. 5, 2010, at Grays Harbor Community Hospital in Aberdeen. He was 71.
He had taught school throughout Oregon, was involved in career counseling through Job Corps and later began a new career in construction and worked for various tribal communities in northwestern Washington.
He returned to Taholah in 1995 where he had since lived.
A funeral was held Tuesday, Nov. 9, and interment will be at the Taholah cemetery.
Direction is by the Coleman Mortuary in Hoquiam.
James D. Kennedy
WESTPORT -- James Donald Kennedy of Westport died Friday, Nov. 5, 2010, at his home. He was 49.
He worked at Westport Shipyards as a welder for a year but his true love was on the ocean, commercial fishing.
Cremation arrangements are by Harrison Family Mortuary of Aberdeen.
Russell Tuckness
SHELTON -- Former East County resident Russell E. Tuckness of the Skokomish Valley died Sunday, Nov. 7, at Fir Lane Health and Rehabilitation Center in Shelton. He was 88.
He had lived in Elma and worked at Camp Grisdale and Camp Govey.
The family suggests donations be made to the Cancer Society, The Skokomish Valley Fire Department or the Skokomish Valley Grange in Shelton.
A service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 13 at Hope Chapel in Shelton.
Arrangements are by McComb Funeral Home in Shelton.
H. Mardell W. Faber
BOISE, Idaho -- Former Aberdeen resident H. Mardell Wilson Faber of Boise, Idaho, died Sunday, Nov. 7, 2010, at her home in Boise. She was 89.
A memorial service will be held at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 13, at the Aberdeen First Presbyterian Church. A private family interment will take place at Sunset Memorial Park in Hoquiam.
Arrangements are by Whiteside Family Mortuary of Aberdeen.
Richard "Pete" Shaffer
Richard "Pete" Shaffer, a Raymond resident, died Monday, Nov. 8, 2010, at the Grays Harbor Health & Rehab in Aberdeen. He was 49.
No memorial services will be held at this time.
Arrangements are by Stoller's Mortuary in Raymond.
William Smith Jr.
Grays Harbor resident William K. Smith Jr. died Wednesday, Nov. 3, 2010, in Aberdeen. He was 50.
Arrangements are by Harrison Family Mortuary of Aberdeen.
Elbert H. Schumacher
A graveside service for former Harborite Elbert Hanford Schumacher, who died Nov. 7, in Harrington, will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, Nov. 12, in Fern Hill cemetery in Aberdeen.
Arrangements are by Fern Hill Funeral Home in Aberdeen.
Mary Ann McFadden
Longtime Hoquiam area resident Mary Ann McFadden, 79, died on Friday, Nov. 5, 2010, at her home in Hoquiam.
She had worked as a crab shaker, bookkeeper and as a cook at the 5-J's (now the Grizzly Den). She later worked at the old Aberdeen Detox Center and had done volunteer work at Al Anon. She and her husband had also owned and operated the Riverview Camp Ground and Trailer Park at Humptulips.
A funeral Mass is being planned. A complete obituary will appear in a later edition of The Daily World.
The family requests donations be sent to P.A.W.S. or to the Union Gospel Mission.
Arrangements are by the Coleman Mortuary in Hoquiam.
Randy Millikan
Randy W. Millikan of Westport died Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2010, at Grays Harbor Community Hospital in Aberdeen. He was 68.
Cremation arrangements are by Harrison Family Mortuary of Aberdeen.
Robert Freeman
Robert L. Freeman, a longtime Hoquiam area resident, died Friday, Nov. 5, 2010, at Grays Harbor Community Hospital in Aberdeen. He was 81.
A graveside service of inurnment will be held at the Sunset Memorial Park in Hoquiam and details will be announced in a complete obituary that will appear in a later edition of The Daily World.
Cremation arrangements are by the Coleman Mortuary.
Helge Erickson
A memorial service for Hoquiam resident Helge Erickson, who died Nov. 1 in Hoquiam, will be held at 2:30 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 14, at the United Methodist Church of Hoquiam. A private inurnment will take place at Hoquiam's Sunset Memorial Park.
Arrangements are by Coleman's Mortuary in Hoquiam.
Annis M. "Mike" Meadows
GRAYLAND -- Longtime Harborite Annis Michael "Mike" Meadows died at his home in Grayland Saturday, Oct. 30, 2010. He was 55.
He served in the Army. He had been disabled and had worked periodically as a security guard.
At his request there will be no formal funeral service.
Cremation arrangements were by Fern Hill Funeral Home, Aberdeen.
Norma Vander Linden
Longtime Hoquiamite Norma E. Vander Linden died on Friday, November 19, 2010, at her home in Hoquiam. She was 87.
She had worked for the Eklund Insurance in Hoquiam and at the Arthaud Land Co. In the mid 1970's she and her husband became owners of the Coleman Mortuary in Hoquiam, where she was the longtime secretary and receptionist.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 22, and from 9 a.m. to noon on Tuesday, Nov. 23, at the Coleman Mortuary in Hoquiam. A funeral will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday at the mortuary. Concluding services with vault interment will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the I.O.O.F. in Ellensburg.
James L. Smith
James Lloyd Smith of Aberdeen died Sunday, Nov. 14, 2010, at Grays Harbor Community Hospital in Aberdeen. He was 84.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 5 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 23, at Bonney-Watson Washington Memorial Funeral Home in SeaTac. A funeral is scheduled at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 24, at Bonney-Watson. A graveside service with military honors will follow at 2:15 p.m. at Tahoma National cemetery in Kent.
Marie Kingery
CASTLE ROCK -- Former East County resident Marie I. Kingery died Friday, Nov. 12, 2010, at her daughter's home in Castle Rock. She was 67. She lived in Elma from 1975 to 2002.
A graveside service is set for 10:30 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 27, at Grand Mound cemetery in Rochester. A celebration of her life will follow at 3 p.m. at the Little Creek Casino in Shelton. Arrangements are by Cattermole Funeral Home in Winlock.
Mildred Bair
RAYMOND -- Mildred R. Bair, a longtime Raymond resident, died Saturday, Nov. 20, 2010, at the Willapa Harbor Care Center in Raymond. She was 89.
She was a past president of Raymond VFW and she was on the election board for years.
A funeral will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, Nov. 26, at Stoller's Mortuary in Raymond with burial to follow at the Lebam cemetery.
