John Calvin Vinnedge

Born in Tacoma WA on Mar. 11, 1944

Departed on Aug. 11, 2012 and resided in Kennewick, WA.

John was born 11 March 1944, in Tacoma, Washington.

He died 11 August 2012, in Kennewick, Washington.

He was raised in the Tri-Cities and in and around Fairbanks, Alaska.

When his mother could not find him, she always looked for his backpack.

If the pack was gone, she knew he was out tramping around in the woods.

Years later, he said that he came to realize that the .22 rifle he carried would have been totally inadequate had he encountered a bear.

John served in the Navy during the Vietnam War.

While stationed in San Diego, CA, he met and later married Ara on April 27, 1968.

John was a member of Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 598.

He worked at Hanford for a number of years.

John and Ara have lived in the Tri-Cities for 39 years.

He was predeceased by his parents, Chester James and Margaret (Skahan) Vinnedge, and stepmother Eva Day Vinnedge Jacobsen.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years: Ara Inez Campbell Vinnedge; 4 children: Donald L. (Becky) Vinnedge, Kennewick, Washington; Charmaine L. (Steven) Rampey, Kennewick; John S. (Shirley) Vinnedge, Pasco, Washington; and Richard D. (JJ) Vinnedge, Cottage Grove, Oregon; 8 grandchildren and5 great-grandchildren.

John is also survived by 5 stepbrothers: Charles K. (Karen) Day, Mill Creek, Washington; Terrence L. (Ruth) Day Pullman, Washington; Theodore B. Day Seattle, Washington; Daniel G. (Shirley) Day, Poway, California; Victor M. (Inge) Day, Germany; sisters: Christy Jo Vinnedge (Sam) Geyer, Kennewick, Washington; and brother David W. (Julie) Vinnedge, St. Charles, Missouri.

A memorial service and celebration of John's life will be held Saturday, August 18, at 1 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ ofLatter-day Saints at 4445 S. Olympia St., Kennewick, WA 99337.

Rachel L Truitt

Born in Fort Morgan, Colorado on Feb. 15, 1922

Departed on Aug. 29, 2012 and resided in Kennewick, WA.

Rachel L. Truitt, 90, passed away in Kennewick, Washington on August 29, 2012.

She was born to Phillip and Elizabeth Lind on February 15, 1922 in Fort Morgan, Colorado.

She married her husband of 48 years, Delbert W. Truitt, Jr. on September 26, 1964.

Rachel worked for Welch's Grape Juice for 18 years, before retiring.

She is survived by her husband, Delbert; six children, Barbara Wheeler, Charles Clark, Carolyn Hovdahl, Ona Archer, Cindy Kidder and Teresa Kidder; 17 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents and all four siblings.

Memorial services, and a reception following, will be held Wednesday, September 5th, 2012, at 10:00 a.m., at Mueller's Tri-Cities Funeral Home, 1401 S. Union Street, in Kennewick.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Rachel to Hospice at The Chaplaincy, 1480 Fowler Street, Richland, WA 99352.

Ella (June) Phillips

Born in Vancouver, Washington on Jun. 13, 1926

Departed on Aug. 30, 2012 and resided in West Richland, WA.

Ella "June" Phillips was born on June 13, 1926 and passed away on August 30, 2012.

She was born in Longview, Washington to Archie and Myrtle (Sittkus) Phillips.

She met Albert "Red" Phillips, her husband of 56 years, in Vancouver, Washington, where she lived and he was stationed in the U.S. Army.

She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great friend.

She was a member of the I.O.O.F., Rebekah's and was a Past President of Rebekah Assembly of WA.

June is survived by her daughter Beano, her husband Stan and their children, Stanley, J and Nicole.

Also her son Calvin, his wife Julee, and their children, Jennifer, Andrea and Samantha.

She had 10 great-grandchildren, Kirsten, Jarrid, Zachary, Gage, Matthew, A.J., Kayley, Courtney, Calvin and Idyris; and three nephews Bud, Ron, Dan and their families.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 6, 2012, 11:00 a.m., at Mueller's Tri-Cities Funeral Home, 1401 S. Union Street, Kennewick with viewing beginning at 10:00 a.m.

Betty Erb

Born in New Florence, Missouri on Oct. 11, 1932

Departed on Aug. 21, 2012 and resided in Richland, WA.

Visitation: Monday, Sep. 10, 2012 11:30 am - 1:00 pm

Service: Monday, Sep. 10, 2012 1:00 pm

Sally June Haller

Born in Boston, MA on Jun. 1, 1931

Departed on Aug. 27, 2012 and resided in Kennewick, WA.

Sally June Haller

Sally June Haller went to be with her Lord and Savior on August 27, 2012 at the age of 81.

She passed away at home surrounded by her family.

Sally is survived by Wilber Haller her loving husband of 63 years.

They were married in Reno, NV in 1950.

She is also survived by her brother Gary Meredith and sister Linda Osborn.

Sally is lovingly remembered by her children, Linda Murphy, Daniel Haller, David Haller, Patricia Albertson, Michael Haller and Robyn Haller.

She is also greatly loved by her 17 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.

Sally was born in Boston, MA in June of 1931.

She attended high school in Redding, CA.

Sally loved playing the piano and the guitar, singing, dancing, walking, traveling, reading and visiting with friends and family.

She especially loved to play badminton and catch with her grandkids and great grandkids.

The visitation will be on Friday 12:00 noon and the funeral service will follow at 1:00 P.M. Harvest Heights Assembly of God 137205 Locust Grove Road, Kennewick, WA, with Kenneth Haller officiating.

Burial will follow at Desert Lawn Memorial Park, 10th & Union Kennewick, WA.

A reception will be held at Harvest Heights Assembly of God.
