Daniel Lynn Halverson
Born in Kennewick, Washington on Sep. 22, 1957
Departed on May 21, 2012 and resided in Richland, WA.
Daniel Lynn Halverson passed away May 21st, 2012 in Spokane, Washington at the age of 54.
Daniel was born in Kennewick, Washington and spent most of his life living in Seattle and the Tri-cities.
The past 20 years in the latter.
Daniel was born to Carl J. Halverson of Edgemont, South Dakota and Pearl Annie Mary Darby of Hayes Center, Nebraska, both deceased.
Daniel is survived by his wife Pamela Halverson, brother James Halverson, sister Pearl Halverson, son Aaron Halverson, son and daughter-in-law Adam and Katie Halverson, and grandchildren Jette; Elizabyth; Winter; and Daniel Halverson.
He now joins his brothers David Halverson and Larry Halverson beyond the veil.
Daniel fought through many struggles in his life.
He always was and will always be remembered as being a fighter.
As a kid he lost his father at the age of 12.
Five years later his mother passed away.
Ever since he could, he worked whatever job he could get to provide for his family.
He did not let his lack of education stand in his way.
As an adult, he would work two to three jobs at a time just to provide for his family.
He always made sure there was food in the cupboards and clothes on his children's backs.
Still he would find time to clean the house and spend time with his kids.
He tried very hard to find ways to spend time with his kids.
Be it taking them bowling on Saturday mornings, or coaching a baseball team.
Even after two heart attacks Dan was out working to provide.
His courage and willingness to do what it took for his family and even friends are immeasurable.
His honesty and integrity were something to be admired.
You could always take him at his word and know it was the truth.
He cared deeply for many.
Dan had a heart of gold. Many times he went out of his way to help those in need.
He sacrificed his life in hopes that his two sons would prosper.
Three of his proudest moments were watching one son walk to earn his college degree, the birth of his grandchildren, and having a son that was able to return the favor and take care of him when he was no longer able to.
Daniel's eyes would always light up at the sight of his granddaughters.
You could see the love in his eyes when they were around or when he talked about them.
When it was announced he was to have a grandson he was ecstatic.
Sadly he never was able to meet him in person.
For all his struggles he was happy.
His heart of gold, his strength, and his joy will always be remembered by those who knew him.
He touched many lives, more than he could ever know.
He will dearly be missed by anyone who knew him.
A viewing will be held Friday, May 25th from 5-8pm at Mueller's Greenlee Funeral Home in Pasco, WA.
