Melfred Kerr, 83, of Finley passed away Oct. 6th 2008, surrounded by his family.
Mel was born in Goble, Oregon, in 1925 to Thomas and Nellie Kerr.
He attended school at Hover High, prior to joining the army in 1944.
He proudly served his country in World War II, where he was wounded and awarded the Purple Heart.
On March 3rd 1946 he married
the love of his life, Loraine.
He worked for Standard Oil and Petroleum Pumps before becoming the owner of the Half Acre Store in Finley.
Mel is survived by his wife of 62 years, Loraine. Children include Richard and Gayle Kerr, Debbie Huesties, Melanie Preszler, and Randy and Peggy Kerr. Grandchildren Michelle (Randall), Jennifer (Xavier), Nicki, Tiffanie (Ron), Jeff, Matt, Amanda (Mike), and Melissa. Great-grandchildren Jake, Jordan, Larissa, Zach, Brandon, Tyler, Tre, Payton, Deblen, Courtney, Sierra, Jaden, and Izabella.
He is also survived by his sister Mildred Nelson, and sisters-in-law Midge Starkey and June Kerr.
He is preceded in death by parents Thomas and Nellie, brothers Marvin and Arnold, sisters May Wasser and Edith Lindley, brother-in-law Kyle Starkey, and son-in-law Len Huesties.

Viewing will be held Friday, Oct. 10th 5-8 p.m.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 11th.
Both are located at Mueller's Funeral Home 1401 S. Union St. in Kennewick.

Pauline Elouise Cyr

Departed on Oct. 6, 2008 and resided in Kennewick, WA.
Pauline Elouise Cyr, 78, loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend has left this earth peacefully in her home on October 6, 2008.
Pauline was born in Shelton, Connecticut on May 29, 1930, the third child of Robert Ed Campbell and Edith Amanda Hackenson.
She was a dedicated and caring homemaker in Kennewick, Washington and a member of St Josephs Church in Kennewick, Washington.
She met and married
the love of her life Joseph Cyr in Waterbury, Connecticut.
They married
on December 19, 1950.
Pauline and Joseph had 3 children (Patty, Roger and Stephen) while living in Wolcott, Connecticut and then the family moved to Kennewick, Washington in 1978.
After Joseph retired they enjoyed spending time with their friends at the Spudnut Shop in Richland and being with their children and the 3 grandson's they adore (Joseph, Stephen and Justin).
Pauline was the heart of her family and will always be remembered for her wonderful sense of humor and smile that lit up the room.
Pauline loved collecting angels and cooking in her kitchen.
She loved the colors during the changes of season and watching trains go by.
She also loved walking the mall and finding things to buy for her 3 grandsons.
Most of all Pauline loved the time she spent with her beloved grandsons.
She enjoyed playing cards with anyone who would sit down with her, double solitaire with 2 decks being her game of choice.
The grandchildren will remember the many special meals she cooked for them and how much she loved to make birthdays extra special for each of them.
She had a wonderful ability to connect with each grandchild no matter the age or attitude!
Pauline is survived by her husband of 58 years Joseph Cyr, her brother Frank Campbell of Colorado Springs, CO., Pauline and Joseph's children, daughter Patricia Cyr, sons Roger Cyr and Stephen Cyr, daughter in law Darlene Cyr all living in Kennewick, Washington.
She will also be missed by her grandchildren Joseph Cyr currently in the US Navy, Stephen Cyr and Justin Cyr all living in Kennewick Washington.
She is also survived by nieces Cindy Morse of Broad Brook, Connecticut and Cathy Daly of Lansdowne, Pennsylvania and nephew Samuel Campbell of Oakville, Connecticut.
Pauline is preceded in death by her parents Robert Ed Campbell and Edith Amanda Hackenson, brothers Edward Campbell and James Campbell and grandson James Allen Cyr.
A special thanks to the staff at the Hospice at the Chaplaincy in Kennewick.
Your visits in Pauline's final days brought much appreciated comfort and support.

James William Baxter, Sr
Born in Deanville, Texas on Aug. 16, 1931
Departed on Oct. 5, 2008 and resided in Kennewick, WA.

James Baxter died Sunday, October 5, 2008.
Jim was born August 16, 1931 in Deanville, Texas to Paul Ladell Baxter and Leona (Kruger) Baxter.
Jim was raised in Deanville, Texas.
In December 1952, Jim enlisted in the US Army and was stationed in El Paso, Texas and later Inglewood, California.
Jim served during the Korean Conflict.
He was honorably discharged in December 1954.
While in California, on guard duty, Jim met the love of his life, Caroline Eliason.
They were married
on March 6, 1955 and spent the next 53 years together raising three children, Debbie Ann, James William Jr and Paul Leonard Baxter.
They moved to Bend, Oregon in 1970 where they lived until 1987.
Upon retirement Jim and the family moved to Kennewick, Washington.
Jim loved the open road and drove semi for Garrett Freight Lines, Systems 99 and Columbia ColStor, to name a few for 35 years.
Jim loved raising livestock, traveling, fishing, playing cards and winning at dominos.
Jim also had a passion for his vegetable garden and his flowers.
James William Baxter was a loving husband and father.
He is survived by his wife Caroline (Eliason) Baxter of Kennewick, WA; daughter Debbie Ann (Bill) Bartholomew of Bend, OR; sons James William (Magdalena) Baxter, Jr of Portland, OR and Paul Leonard Baxter of Kennewick, WA. Jim has five grandchildren Kristina Marie Bartholomew (Kevin) Abell, James William Bartholomew, Kathryn Ann Bartholomew, Steven Robert Bartholomew and James Everett Baxter.
Jim was preceded in death by his father Paul Baxter, mother Leona Baxter, brother William Robert Baxter, and his sister Odell Baxter.
The family wishes to thank everyone involved in Jim's life and a special thanks to the Kennewick Hospice.
Viewing will be held on Wednesday, October 15th, 4 pm to 8 pm, at Mueller's Tri-Cities Funeral Home located at 1401 S. Union Street in Kennewick.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, October 16th, 2:00 pm, also at Mueller's Tri-Cities Funeral Home with interment to follow at Desert Lawn Memorial Park with a reception to immediately follow.
Shirley Aileen Middleton
Born on Mar. 19, 1929
Departed on Oct. 10, 2008 and resided in Pasco, WA.
Shirley A. Middleton, our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and best friend, joined her loving husband Robert, and our Heavenly Father, on October 10, 2008.
She was born March 19, 1929 in Lyman, Nebraska.
Shirley married
Robert on February 20, 1949 where they farmed for five years in Nebraska.
As one of the original homesteaders to the Block 15 area, her passion, hard work and determination was evident in the success of their farm.
The three things mom said were most important in her life were her children, grandchildren, and her home.
She loved her flowers, gardening, reading and spending time with those she loved.
She is survived by her children, Bill (Cinda) Middleton, Karen Rickenbach, Gary (Lori) Middleton, Joan (Jack) Zimmer, Laura (Chris) Law, Janet (Rolo) Esparza, and Jim (Dionne) Middleton; 27 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Robert; her parents, Ruth and Homer Beabout; and son-in-law David Rickenbach.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, October 14th from 5-8:00pm at Mueller's Greenlee Funeral Home in Pasco.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, October 15th at 11:00am at Faith Assembly Christian Center in Pasco, with interment to follow at City View cemetery in Pasco.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Golden Age Food Service or a charity of your choice
Wandalee June Howard
Born in Ponca City, Oklahom on Jul. 3, 1924

Wandalee Howard passed from us to join the Lord on Friday, October 10, 2008.
To all who loved her she was a strong and enduring spirit who enjoyed her family & faith to the fullest.
She was preceded in death by her husband Merle Howard, son Ivan Howard, granddaughter Leah Banks and great granddaughter Breanne Ellsberry.
Wandalee is survived by her children, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Her immediate family surviving her include, Merle W. Howard and his wife Irene and their 4 children; Deloris Roberson and her husband John and their 3 daughters; Fayrene Howard, wife of Ivan Howard, and their 2 children; Charlotte Jenkins and her husband Jerry and their 5 children; Paul Howard and his wife Wendy and their 2 children; and many others who love her who are too numerous to list.
She has been a guiding light and encouragement to all who knew her.
Even in her later years as her health declined she was endeared to caregivers around her.
She enjoyed traveling, camping and family times.
Born in Ponca City, Oklahoma on July 3, 1924 she later moved with her family to Washington State in 1954.
She resided in Benton City most of those years with excursions to Loon Lake and Yuma, Arizona.
Merle and Wandalee were avid travelers; you might even say they were nomads as they could never seem to sit still.
They were always happiest on the road discovering new destinations and making friends.
She will be missed by all who knew her.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, October 14, 2008, 2 pm, at Desert Lawn Memorial Park located at 10th & Union Street in Kennewick.
