Ruth Marie Chessman, of Soldotna, Alaska, died on Dec. 21, 2006, at the Stonebrook Inn Assisted Living facility.
She was 90.
She was born on Aug. 30, 1916, in Long Prairie, Minn.
She was a member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees, the Central Peninsula Hospital Auxiliary, and the Soldotna (Alaska) Citizens Center.
She is survived by daughter Ann Moore of Soldotna, Alaska; brother Jim Roos of Washington; sisters Loretta Nicholson and Margaret Jacobsen of Washington; and three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
No services are scheduled.

Ellen C. Griffith, of Manchester, died on Dec. 21, 2005, in Bremerton.
She was 81.
She was born on Jan 25, 1924, in Silverdale, to John and Clara Jensen.
She married
Robert L. Griffith in 1947 in Bremerton.
She graduated from Central Kitsap High School in 1942.
She was a homemaker.
She belonged to the Elim Lutheran Church and helped at South Kitsap Helpline.
She enjoyed bowling, reading and taking care of her violets.
She is survived by son Stan (and wife Diana) Griffith; daughter Barbara (and husband Richard) Goldsmith; sisters Laura Peterson and Clara Barr; and six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by husband Robert Griffith; brothers Charles and Ed Jensen; and sisters Margaret Jensen, Alice “Tootsie” Jensen and Jorene Walden.
A memorial service is scheduled for 2 p.m. on Jan. 6 at Rill Life Tribute Center in Port Orchard.
Lieske, Russell Monday, 18 Dec 2006
Russell Albert Lieseke, of Port Orchard, died on Dec. 18, 2006, in Shelton.
He was 26.
He was born on Feb. 14, 1980, in Bremerton, to Bill and Rhonda (Johnson) Lieseke.
He was a landscaper for six years.
He enjoyed four-wheeling. playing the guitar and Jeep restoration and customization.
He is survived by Jessica Sammons of Shelton; parents Bill and Kathy Lieseke, and Rhonda Lieseke and Wayne Jordheim, all of Port Orchard; brother Nick Lieseke of Port Orchard; maternal grandparents Robert and Bea Johnson of Poulson, Mont.; and paternal grandparents Kendall and Ramona Lieseke of Port Orchard and Elden and Diane Jordheim of Moorhead, Minn.
A memorial service is scheduled for 2 p.m. on Jan. 2 at Rill Life Tribute Center in Port Orchard.
McClellan, Lucille Monday, 18 Dec 2006
Lucille G. McClellan, of Bremerton, died on Dec. 18, 2006, at home.
She was 82.
She was born on Nov. 15, 1924, in Moore, Mont., to Voyle and Martha (Waaga) David.
She married
Earl McClellan on Oct. 26, 1946, in Bremerton.
She graduated from Silverdale High School in 1941.
She worked at Keyport during World War II and worked as a stuffer at the Kitsap Sun until her retirement in 1978.
She was a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Bremerton.
She is survived by sons David (and wife Linda) McClellan of Bremerton and Greg (and wife Nancy) McClellan of Bremerton; daughters Joyce (and husband Larry) O’Neal of Cathamlet and Luann (and husband Jim) Rosedale; sister Eldene Collins of Centralia; and 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by husband Earl McClellan.
A memorial service was Dec. 23 at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, 1015 Veneta Ave., in Bremerton. Burial will follow at Miller-Woodlawn Memorial Park.

Louise, Wilfert Sunday, 17 Dec 2006
Louise G. Wilfert, of Port Orchard, died on Dec. 17, 2005. She was 86.
She was born on Aug. 21, 1919, in Whittier, Calif.
She graduated from Puente (Calif.) High School in 1937 and attended Pasadena (Calif.) City College.
She was a homemaker.
She was a member of the Palm Desert (Calif.) Episcopal Church and enjoyed gardening, cooking and following the stock market.
She is survived by son Frank (and wife Brenda) Wilfert, of Newport Beach, Calif.; daughter Tiffany Wilfert of Port Orchard; sisters Yvonne (and husband Ed) Van Dam of Palm Desert, Calif., and Jewell (and husband Bill) Morehouse, in Hilo, Hawaii; and one grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Wilfert, in 2002.
At her request, no services will be held. Burial will be at Forest Lawn cemetery in Palm Springs, Calif.
Cloutier, Roger Saturday, 16 Dec 2006
Roger Roland Cloutier Sr., of Tracyton, died on Dec. 16, 2006, at home.
He was 83.
He was born on March 23, 1923, in Belmont, N.H., to Joseph and Eva (Carroll) Cloutier.
He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1942 until 1969, earning the rank of master sergeant, then owned the Bremerton Travel Agency for 20 years until his retirement.
He was a fourth-degree member of the Knights of Columbus, a Eucharistic minister, and volunteered at the Bremerton Foodline and St. Vincent DePaul.
He enjoyed playing golf and piano.
He is survived by sons Roger Cloutier Jr. and Robin Wilson of Port Orchard; daughters Holly (and husband James) Bielinski of Bremerton and Mariann (and husband David) James of Bremerton; brother George (and wife Pat) Cloutier of Oxford, Mass.; and five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by wife Joan Cloutier in 1998.
A memorial mass is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on Dec. 29 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Bremerton, with inurnment to follow at St. Rock’s cemetery in Oxford, Mass.

William R. Searles, of Port Orchard, died on Dec. 13, 2006, at home. He was 81.
He was born on April 20, 1925, in Sioux Falls, S.D., to Clair and Edna Mae (Stephenson) Searles.
He married
Marilyn Thompson on June 3, 1950, in Hill City, S.D.
He served in the U.S. Navy as a radioman during World War II.
He worked as a supply manager, inspector, plumber and pipefitter at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard for 32 years until his retirement.
He was a member of Adventures of Faith Church, the South Kitsap School Board, the Bremerton Elks Lodge, the Port Orchard Fraternal Order of Eagles and the VFW in Yuma, Ariz.
He is survived by wife Marilyn Searles of Port Orchard; son Michael (and wife Kathy) Searles of Grand Junction, Colo.; daughters Jo Ellen “Jodi” (and husband Dennis) Johnston of Seabeck, and Denise (and husband M. Jerry Jr.) Jones of Marysville; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by daughter Willa J. Janes.
A memorial service is was held on Dec. 15 at Lewis Funeral Chapel, followed by inurnment at Forest Lawn cemetery.

Frank Hanson, of Port Orchard, died on Dec. 9, 2006, at home.
He was 88.
He was born on May 27, 1918, in South Colby, to Fred and Lena (Breyland) and Hanson.
He attended South Kitsap High School but didn’t obtain his GED until the age of 78.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and worked as a commercial fisherman and real estate broker.
He was a Seventh-Day Adventist.
He is survived by son Paul (and wife Debra) of Bremerton; sister Florence Gaskill of Port Orchard; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by sisters Esther Van Alstine and Anna Craig.
A memorial service is scheduled for 3 p.m. on Dec. 20 at the Port Orchard Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 5000 Bethel Road SE.
