Anderson, Eugene Tuesday, 28 Aug 2007
Eugene Anderson, of Port Orchard, died on Aug. 28, 2007, in Seattle.
He was 53.
He was born on Aug. 2, 1954, in Bremerton, to Arthur and Hazel (Erne) Anderson.
He graduated from Central Kitsap High School in 1972 and married
Gwen Pattee in Bremerton on April 24, 1976.
He worked for 17 years as a general foreman at Naval Subase Bangor and the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, retiring in 1994.
He also worked for Heritage Fireplace Shop in Bremerton and Pacific Specialties Contracting in Gig Harbor.
He enjoyed restoring classic cars and going to car shows.
He is survived by wife Gwen Anderson, of Port Orchard; sons Brandon Anderson of Shelton and Jeremy Anderson of Mill Creek; daughter Carri-Ann Anderson of Port Orchard; mother Hazel Anderson; and sisters Sheila Anderson of Seattle and Clarice (and husband Ken) Mischel of Port Orchard.
Visitation is scheduled for Sept. 5 from noon to 5 p.m. and Sept. 6 from 9 a.m. until the funeral service at 2 p.m. at Rill Life Tribute Center in Port Orchard.
Interment follows at Sunset Lane Memorial Park also in Port Orchard.
Tinker, Benjamin Monday, 27 Aug 2007
Benjamin Perry Tinker, of Port Orchard, died in Tacoma on Aug. 27, 2007. He was 63.
He was born Jan. 25, 1944, in Port Orchard to John and Thelma (Howell) Tinker.
He graduated from South Kitsap High School in Port Orchard in 1963 and worked as a machinist at the Subase Bangor and Naval Undersea Warefare Center, Keyport, before retiring in 1991.
He was a member of the Boilermaker’s Union in Seattle.
He loved to play the lottery and tell everyone that he won. He also enjoyed hanging out at local restaurants.
He is survived by brothers Carl and Tom Tinker and sisters Beverly Miller and Marcille Tinker.
He was preceded in death by brothers James and David Tinker.
A memorial service was held on Sept. 7 at Rill Life Tribute Center in Port Orchard. Inurnment followed at Sunset Lane Memorial Park.
Kenoyer, Helen Monday, 27 Aug 2007
Helen Carol Kenoyer of Port Orchard died August 27, 2007, in Torrance, Calif.
She was 93.
She was born on Dec. 19, 1913, in Hoquiam. She went on to marry Donald E. Kenoyer in 1937, and, along with her family, became a longtime resident of Port Orchard.
She worked for a supermarket and hardware store for several years before retiring and living in Hemet, Calif., with her husband.
She enjoyed fishing, golfing and traveling with her fellow snowbirds.
She was preceded in death by husband Donald and daughter Donna Jean (Halstead) Kenoyer.
She is survived by sons James (Liz) of Port Orchard and Gerald (Pam) of Torrance, along with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Heyer, Charles Monday, 27 Aug 2007
Charles S. Heyer of Bremerton died Aug. 27, 2007. He was 56. He was born on March 11, 1951, to Lois and Willard Heyer.
He graduated from South Kitsap High School in 1969, then attended Olympic College for two years before continuing on at the University of Puget Sound to earn a degree.
He then began a 30-year career with the government, retiring as a crane inspector at SuBase Bangor in March of 2006.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Lois Heyer, in 2001.
He is survived by his life partner of 20 years, Mary Paulson; her children Pam and Terei, and two granddaughters; his father Willard Heyer and stepmother Mary; sister Lynn (Paul) Strine.
He enjoyed automotive hobbies such as body repair, drag racing and NASCAR.
A celebration of his life will be held at the Summit Ave Presbyterian Church 403 Summit Ave S. Bremerton on Sept. 4 at 2:00 p.m.
Franklin, June Wednesday, 22 Aug 2007
June L. Franklin, of Port Orchard, died on Aug. 22, 2007, in Gig Harbor.
She was 81.
She was born on June 9, 1926, in Sharon, N.D., to Carl and Caroline Bergan and graduated from Sharon High School in 1943.
She married
Joe Franklin on July 25, 1945, in Seattle.
She was a homemaker and mother.
She loved birds of all varieties, was an excellent cook and loved music.
She is survived by husband Joe Franklin, of Port Orchard; sons Ronn (and wife Patti) Franklin of St. Helens, Ore., Dennis (and wife Sharon) Franklin of Mountlake Terrace, and Tim (and wife Mary Alice) Franklin and Gary (and wife Mercedes) Franklin, both of Anchorage, Alaska; daughters Pamela Kuta of Port Orchard and Cindi (and husband Jim) Murphy of Gig Harbor; brother Richard (and wife Raye) Bergan of Lynnwood; and sister Phyllis Austin of Richmond Beach; and 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life service was held at Rill’s Life Tribute Center in Port Orchard on Aug. 31.

Blythe, Marie Wednesday, 22 Aug 2007
Marie Evelyn Blythe died at home on Aug. 22, 2007.
She was 66.
She was born in Gunner, Texas, on April 21, 1941.
Marie is survived by her husband of 39 years, George “Buck” Blythe; her sons and daughters Claudette, Jackie, Randy, Stacy, Shauna, Sherri, Shannon, Stefanie, Skylar, Stuart, Chris, Rachel, Leann and Michael; and many grandchildren.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Gig Harbor.
Funeral service was held on Aug. 28 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Key Peninsula, Gig Harbor.
Munn, Marjorie Sunday, 22 Apr 2007
Marjorie Munn, 69, homemaker
Marjorie E. Munn, of Port Orchard, died on April 22, 2007, in Bremerton.
She was 69.
She was born Feb. 3, 1938, in Salem, N.J., to Carl and Dorothy (Waddington) Elk.
She graduated from Salem High School in 1955 and attended Wilmington Nursing School in Wilmington, Del.
She married
Bruce Munn on Feb. 25, 1961, in Gloucester City, N.J.
She was a homemaker.
She served in the U.S. Navy as a hospital corpsman from 1957 to 1961.
She is survived by husband Bruce Munn; son Michael Munn of Port Orchard; daughter Bonnie Duff of Port Orchard; brother Carl Elk of North Carolina; and one grandchild.
She was preceded in death by brother Thomas Elk in 2006.
A graveside service was held on April 22 at Sunset Lane Memorial Park in Port Orchard.
Manning, James Tuesday, 17 Apr 2007
James Michael Manning, of Olalla, died on April 17, 2007, in Bremerton. He was 48.
He was born on April 21, 1958, in Worcester, Mass., to John and Mary (Budreau) Manning.
He graduated from Holy Name Catholic High School in 1976 was attending Olympic College in Bremerton at the time of his death.
He married
Colleen Clarke in New Westminster, B.C., on Feb. 14, 1990.
He served in the U.S. Navy from 1981 to 2003 attaining the rank of quartermaster chief petty officer. He served in Operation Desert Storm and Desert Shield, and in Somalia.
He was a member of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary and was employed at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard as an apprentice program.
He is survived by his wife Colleen; father John Manning of Lady Lake, FA; daughters Jennifer Thiel (and husband Luke) Thiel of Victoria, B.C., Christie (and husband Ryan) Butterwick of Leslieville, Alberta, Michelle (and husband Jason) Meeks of Hawaii; brother John (and wife Autumn) Manning of FA; sister Marylee Manning; and six grandchildren.
A celebration of life ceremony was held on April 23 at Rill Tribute Center in Port Orchard.

Kelly-Swietzer, Fern Tuesday, 17 Apr 2007
Fern Kelly-Swietzer, of Sevier-ville, Tenn., died on April 17, 2007. She was 85.
She was born in Nebraska on March 15, 1922, to Lottie and Bert Andrews.
She married
Lauren Kelly in 1951. Following his death in 1982, she married
Connie Swietzer, who also preceded in her death.
She is survived by sons Alan, Arnold and Loren (Ernie) and daughter Heidi; and eight grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Charles.
A memorial celebration will be held at 2 p.m. on April 28 at Christian Life Center in Port Orchard.
