James Keith Sr.
MIDDLEBURY - James Keith Sr., 66, died Dec. 16, 2003, at Fletcher Allen Hospital in Burlington.
He was born Aug. 5, 1937, in St. Albans.
He was a self-employed painter for many years and worked at Middlebury College as a custodian.
Survivors include his mother, Dorothy Keith of North Adams, Mass.; his companion, Oneida Philion of Shoreham; two brothers, Ira Keith of St. Albans and John Keith of Florida; three sisters, Elizabeth Gould and JoAnn Keith, both of North Adams, Mass., and Vivian Zweers of Connecticut.
The graveside service will take place at a later date in Lakeview cemetery in Shoreham.
Memorial contributions may be made to Middlebury Volunteer Ambulance Association, P.O. Box 504, Middlebury, 05753.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Sanderson Funeral Service in Middlebury.
Eugenia M. Woodard Rites
ARLINGTON - The funeral service for Eugenia May Woodard, 81, who died Dec. 15, 2003, was held Thursday at the Hanson-Walbridge Funeral Home.
The Rev. Thomas Truscott, interim pastor of the Federated Church of East Arlington, officiated. Burial followed in Evergreen cemetery.
Keyboardist was Janet Hurd.
Bearers were Fred Pickering, Pat Pickering, Harry Pickering, Floyd Skidmore, Glen Crofut and Paul Lafountain.
Mabel L. Wilcox
HOOSICK FALLS, N.Y. - Mabel Louise "Mae" Wilcox, 89, died Dec. 15, 2003, at Hoosick Falls Health Center.
She was born Jan. 3, 1914, in Chicago, Ill., the daughter of George and Adeline (Powers) Hofacker.
She married
Roger Wilcox on June 6, 1934. He died in 1996.
Mrs. Wilcox was a former member of Ogden Dunes Community Church in Indiana where she had lived for many years.
She enjoyed swimming and gardening, and was a volunteer in local hospitals in Gary, Ind.
Survivors include a daughter, Judith Petersen of Hoosick Falls; a son, Ted Wilcox of Vernon Hills, Ill.; a sister, Geraldine Coussons of Georgia; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a brother, Robert Mullaver.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Paul E. Mailhiot
PITTSFORD - Paul Emery Mailhiot, 62, died Dec. 18, 2003, at the home of his son in Ward, Ark.
He was born Sept. 14, 1941, in Pittsford, the son of John and Cora Mailhiot.
Survivors include his wife, Frances Mailhiot; a son, Kevin Mailhiot; two daughters, Michele Mailhiot and Brenda White of Danby; a sister, Nancy Stout of Tucson, Ariz.; a brother, David Mailhiot of Pittsford; and six grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his parents.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Cabot Funeral Home.
Elissa M. Lizotte
Elissa Mae Lizotte, 64, of Rutland, died Dec. 19, 2003, at the home of her daughter.
She was born Feb. 28, 1939, in Fair Haven, the daughter of Delford and Loretta (Petty) Cota.
She attended Fair Haven High School.
Mrs. Lizotte enjoyed bingo.
Survivors include two daughters, Nancy Lear and Linda Lizotte of Rutland; two sons, Larry Lizotte and Stuart Lizotte of Rutland; two brothers, Warren Cota and Clifton Cota of Rutland; 18 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, George Lizotte.
The memorial service will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the Clifford Funeral Home in Rutland. The Rev. W. Andre Houle, pastor of St. Peter's Church in Rutland, will officiate. Burial will take place at a later date in St. Joseph's cemetery.
Friends may call Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the funeral home.

Elisabeth T. Bartholomew
POULTNEY - Elisabeth Thrall Bartholomew, 83, of Poultney and Rochester, Minn., died Dec. 16, 2003, at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester.
She was born Aug. 27, 1920, in Poultney.
She graduated from Green Mountain Junior College.
She married
Lloyd Bartholomew on Dec. 26, 1943, in Poultney.
Mrs. Bartholomew worked as a radiological technician and librarian.
She was a member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Rochester, Daughters of the American Revolution, Mayflower Society, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, and the Rochester Civic Theatre. She was a volunteer with the Pink Ladies at Rochester Methodist and St. Mary's Hospital and in the infirmary at Assisi Heights Mother House. She also had worked in a bookstore and was a "hockey mom."
She raised registered Golden Retrievers, and enjoyed carding, making her own dye, and spinning and weaving sheep wool.
Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Suzanne Johnson of Lakeville, Minn., and Lynne Kreiner of Kenmore, N.Y.; two sons, Lloyd of Rochester and Douglass of Mahtomedi, Minn.; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a daughter and two grandsons.
A private memorial service was held at St. Luke's Episcopal Church. Burial will take place in Brick Church cemetery in Whitehall, N.Y.
Memorial contributions may be made to Green Mountain College and Make A Wish Foundation.

Funeral services for Frances K. Handley, the widow of Edward F. Handley, who died Monday, Dec. 15, 2003, in Rutland, will be held Monday, Dec. 22, in St. Peter's Church at 10 a.m.

POULTNEY - The funeral service for Fred C. Parker, 91, who died Dec. 16, 2003, was held Friday at the Roberts-Aubin Funeral Home in Poultney.
The Rev. Stephen Payne officiated. Burial will take place at a later date in Poultney cemetery.

Edward L. Prinsen Rites
SPRINGFIELD - The memorial service for Edward L. "Ted" Prinsen, 60, who died Dec. 12, 2003, was held Friday at the Davis Memorial Chapel.
The Rev. Patience Stoddard, pastor of the Unitarian Universalist Church, officiated. Burial will take place at a later date in Amsden cemetery in Reading.
U.S. Navy officers from White River Junction played Taps and presented the flag to the family.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Davis Memorial Chapel.
Grace M. Currier
WHITING - Grace Marie Currier, 87, died Dec. 19, 2003, at Mountain View Center Genesis ElderCare in Rutland.
The funeral service will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the Miller & Ketcham Funeral Home in Brandon.
Friends may call Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Kathleen A. Davis
RUTLAND - Mrs. Kathleen A. Davis, 53, died Friday, December 19, 2003, in Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington after a short illness.
Kathy was born on February 21, 1950 in Rutland, Vermont the daughter of Edward T. and Virginia M. (Gray) Carvey, Sr. She attended grammar school at St. Mary's Parochial School and graduated from Fair Haven Union High School with the Class of 1968. She furthered her education with courses at local colleges.
Kathy was first employed at the Aircraft Engine Division of General Electric Company in Rutland and was later employed as Office Administrator for the Bixby Fuel Company in Poultney. Most recently at the time of her death she was employed for the Hutchins and White Fuel Company in Castleton. During her life Kathy loved the outdoors, working in her flower gardens and planning and participating in activities with all of her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth A. Davis of Rutland, her three sons, Frederic J. Brooks, Jr. and his companion, Anna, of Poultney, VT, Allen P. Brooks and his wife, Caroline, of Great Falls, MT, James G. Brooks and his wife, Kimberly, of Whitehall, NY, her three step-sons, Kenneth Davis and his wife Gina of Ludlow, VT, Timothy Davis and his wife, Kathy, of Forestdale, VT, Scott Davis of Chesterfield, NJ, her eleven siblings, Edward T. Carvey of Hydeville, VT, Elizabeth Hauger of Thetford, VT, Timothy Carvey and his wife, Denise, of Atwater, CA, Rita Ross and her husband, Tony, Sr., of Poultney, Monica Williams and her husband, Clarence, of Glens Falls, NY, Bernard Carvey and his wife Johnna, of Poultney, VT, Sheila Hall and her husband, Rick, of Bomoseen, VT. She is also survived by her ten grandchildren and several nieces, nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, her first husband, Fredric J. Brooks, Sr. and by her sister-in-law, Connie Carvey.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 23, 2003, at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Seven Dolors Church in Fair Haven. The Rev. Richard W. Tinney, Parish Priest will celebrate the Mass. Burial will be in St. Mary's cemetery in Fair Haven at a later date.
Visiting hours for family and friends will be on Monday, December 22, 2003, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Durfee Funeral Home, 119 No. Main Street, Fair Haven, VT.
Kathy's family request that as an alternative to flower donations a donation in her memory may be offered to the American Diabetes Association, New England Region at 77 Hegeman Drive, Colchester, VT 05446.
