Charlotte Rostkowski Rites
MIDDLETOWN SPRINGS - A funeral Mass for Charlotte Rostkowski, 85, who died Nov. 16, 2003, in Rutland, was celebrated Friday at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church in West Rutland. Celebrant was the Rev. Paul Sackevich and concelebrant was the Rev. Frank Warzocha. Burial followed in St. Stanislaus cemetery with the Rev. Sackevich and the Rev. Warzocha officiating.
Organist was Dorothy Blicharz for the church choir. Flutist was Charlene Beebe.
Gift bearers were Theresa Beebe, Bernadette Beebe and Jane Wysolmerski.
Readers were Matthew Beebe, Daniel Beebe, Ethan Beebe, Ben Rosko and William Carmichael.
Bearers were Matthew Beebe, Daniel Beebe, William Carmichael, Brian Tarbell, John Wysolmerski and Sigismund Wysolmerski.
A prayer service was held at the Mullin-Clifford Funeral Home by the Rev. Warzocha. ?
Richard S. Munson Rites
TINMOUTH - The funeral service for Richard Stratton Munson, 75, who died Nov. 17, 2003, was held Friday at the First Congregational Church in Wallingford with Pastor Donald Caskie officiating. Burial followed in St. Patrick's cemetery.
Organist was June Leach.
American Legion Post 31 Color Guard provided military honors. Dick White presented the flag to Mrs. Munson.
Bearers were Jeremy Wade, Luke Hepburn, Craig Munson, Timothy Kennedy, Tracy Kennedy and David Munson.
Honorary bearers were Earl Patch, Verne Hawking and Lindsley Kennedy.
A reception was held at St. Patrick's Church Hall following the service.

Robert E. Richards
BRADFORD - Robert E. Richards, 67, died Nov. 11, 2003, at the Veterans Affairs Hospital in West Roxbury, Mass.
He was born May 29, 1936, in Norwood, Mass., the son of Harold and Eleanor (Barney) Richards.
He attended schools in Attleboro, Mass., and graduated from Attleboro High School. He also attended Wentworth Institute.
Mr. Richards worked in security for many years.
He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, serving in the Korean War.
He was past commander of the American Legion in Claremont, N.H., and a past member of the Claremont Fire Department. He also was a volunteer at the VA Hospital in White River Junction and the Senior Center in Claremont, N.H.
Mr. Richards enjoyed dancing and playing cards.
Survivors include three sisters, Marjorie Hodges of Attleboro, Mass., Myrtle Watts of Carson City, Nev., and Sandra Malcomber of North Attleboro, Mass.; three brothers, Harold Richards of Sunderland, Mass., Donald Richards of Marlborough, Mass., and Allen Richards of Falls Church, Va.; his stepmother, Mary Julie Richards of Attleboro; several nieces and nephews.
The memorial service will be held at a later date.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Hale Funeral Home in Bradford.
Mildred Sloan
BRIDGEWATER - Mildred Sloan, 86, died Nov. 20, 2003, at Hanover Terrace Nursing Care in Hanover, N.H.
She was born March 14, 1916, in Littleton, N.H.
She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, puzzles, television game shows, and going to the Senior Center.
Survivors include five sons, James Dionne of Fredericksburg, Va., Eugene Dionne of Newport, David Dionne of Waterbury, Dean Dixon of Pownal and Gary Sloan of Center Rutland; a daughter, Sandra Sloan of Bridgewater; a stepson, Henry Sloan; two sisters, Nina Nelson and Virginia Kepler; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
She was predeceased by a son, Edward Dionne; two brothers, Harold and Charles Prebble; and a sister, Ella Phillip.
The graveside service will be held Monday at 1 p.m. in Baker Hill cemetery in Bridgewater Center.
There will be no calling hours.

Wilmot G. Strong
FAIRFIELD, Conn. - Wilmot G. (Grannis) Strong, 82, a former resident of Springfield, Vt., died Oct. 29, 2003, at Carolton Convalescent Hospital in Fairfield.
He was born and raised in Bridgeport, and graduated from Yale University in 1945.
He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, serving during World War II in the Pacific as a lieutenant, and later during the Korean War. He was honorably discharged with the rank of captain.
Survivors include a sister, Esther Loud; two brothers, Frederick Strong III and John Strong; nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife, Ellen (Condon) Strong in 1996.
A private memorial service was held in November at Mountain Grove cemetery.
Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers may be made one's favorite charity.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Spear Funeral Home in Fairfield.
Harry A. Pike Rites
HINSDALE, N.H. - The funeral service for Harry A. Pike, 75, who died Nov. 16, 2003, was held Wednesday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Hinsdale. Brother Shawn Merkle officiated. Burial followed in Morningside cemetery.
Pianist was Georga O'Connor and soloist was Virginia Coursen.
Pallbearers were Kevin Pike Jr., Bruce Pike, Justin Welsh, Michael Mitchell, Jeremy Burke and Paul Huling.
A reception was held at the Masonic Temple following the service.

Francis D. Foley
LEICESTER - Francis Donald "Fran" Foley, 57, died Nov. 21, 2003, at Porter Hospital in Middlebury.
The funeral service will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the Brandon Congregational Church.
Friends may call Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Miller & Ketcham Funeral Home in Brandon.

MIDDLEBURY - The funeral service for Robert A. "Bob" Young was held Friday at the Sanderson Funeral Home in Middlebury with the Rev. Justin Baker officiating. Burial followed in Prospect cemetery in Vergennes.
Organist was Kevin Parizo and bagpiper was Tom Kirkpatrick.
Members of the Disabled American Veterans, American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars provided military honors.
Pallbearers were Tim Holmes, Ron Holmes, Wayne LaPell, Gary Holmes, Justin Holmes and Scott LaPell.

Stella M. Oscielowski
Stella M. Oscielowski, 80, of Rutland, died Dec. 15, 2003, at St. Joseph's Residence.
She was born May 8, 1923, in West Rutland, the daughter of Joseph and Helen (Cimoch) Maciejewski.
Survivors include a son, Frank Oscielowski of West Rutland; two daughters, Mary Bergseth of Beaver Creek, Ohio, and Anne Marie Ladabouche of Rutland; three sisters, Florence Denofer of Rutland, Stephanie Oscarson of Springfield and Jennie Guardyak of West Rutland; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by two brothers, Anthony Maciejewski and Henry Maciejewski.
The funeral Mass will be celebrated at a later date at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus cemetery.
There will be no calling hours.

Adam F. Jaginski
WEST RUTLAND - Adam F. Jaginski, 81, died Dec. 15, 2003, at Haven Health Care Center in Rutland.
He was born Aug. 30, 1922, in Center Rutland, the son of Paul and Anna (Gawet) Jagodzinski.
He married
Anna Marie Pionek. She died in 2000.
Mr. Jaginski worked at Howe Richardson Scale Co. in Rutland for many years.
He was a member of St. Stanislaus Kostka Church in West Rutland.
Survivors include a brother, Stanley Jagodzinski of West Rutland; three sisters, Jean Pinkowski of North Clarendon, Helen Piontek of East Dorset and Sophie Mason of Buffalo, N.Y.; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild; nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife; a son, Frank Jaginski; two brothers, Henry Jagodzinski and Joseph Jagodzinski; and two sisters, Mary Sabol and Josephine Bemis.
The funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church in West Rutland. The Rev. Frank Warzocha, pastor, will officiate. Interment will follow with burial at a later date in St. Stanislaus cemetery in West Rutland.
Calling hours will be held Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Mullin-Clifford Funeral Home in West Rutland.
