Anna Quesnel
MIDDLEBURY — Anna Quesnel, 70, died Feb. 4, 2003, at Helen Porter Health and Rehabilitation Center in Middlebury.
She was born Jan. 27, 1933, in Whitehall, N.Y., the daughter of Max and Pauline Diekel.
She was a homemaker and helped her husband on the family farm.
Mrs. Quesnel was a member of St. Mary’s Church in Middlebury and taught C.C. classes. She was also a member of the Middlebury High Boosters Club and the Moose Club in Rutland.
Survivors include her husband, Lorenzo Sr.; four sons, Lorenzo of Whiting, Randy of Cornwall, Terry of Salisbury and Tawnya of Middlebury; a daughter, Dolly Dame of Brandon; a sister, Evelyn Gregory of Glens Falls, N.Y.; 15 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
She was predeceased by three brothers, Charles, Harry and Edward; and a sister, Wilma Saltis.
The funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church.
Friends may call Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Sanderson Funeral Home in Middlebury.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, Vermont Affiliate, 77 Hegeman Avenue, Colchester, 05446.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Sanderson Funeral Service in Middlebury.
Jean Marie Gee
NORTH CHITTENDEN - Jean Marie Gee, 69, died Sept. 11, 2000, at Rutland Regional Medical Center after a brief illness.
She was born Oct. 6, 1930, in Danby, daughter of Edward W. and Alice (Stevens) Benard.
She married
Vance Gee, who died in 1999.
Mrs. Gee belonged to the American Legion Auxiliary Post 31, Chittenden Historical Society and St. Robert's Catholic Church in Chittenden.
Her hobbies included antiquing.
Survivors include a daughter, Yvonne Marie Smith of North Chittenden; two sons, Edward E. Gee and Bradford W. Gee, both of North Chittenden; a sister, Eileen Gee of Rutland; four grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a brother, Norman Stevens.
The funeral will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at St. Robert's Catholic Church in Chittenden. Burial will follow on the family property on Leadmine Mountain in North Chittenden.
A reception for family and friends will be held at the home of Roland and Yvonne Smith on Middle Road in North Chittenden after the services.
Calling hours will be held today from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Barnard Funeral Home, 3186 U.S. Route 7, Pittsford.
Helen M. Listzwan
WEST RUTLAND - Helen Maciag Listzwan, 86, of West Rutland died Sept. 11, 2000, at Pleasant Manor Nursing Home in Rutland.
She was born June 6, 1914, in Brooklyn, N.Y., daughter of Albert and Anna (Byczek) Maciag.
She graduated from West Rutland High School in 1932.
She was employed as a nurse's aid at Rutland Hospital and later did private duty work.
She was a soloist and choir member of St. Stanislaus Church in West Rutland, St. Ignatious Church in Hicksville, N.Y., and St. Phillip Neri in Westport, N.Y.
Survivors include a son, Thomas Listzwan of Hopkinton, N.H.; two grandchildren; a great-grandson; nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by two sisters, Lucy Maciag and Eva Socinski; and a brother, John Maciag.
A funeral service will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church in West Rutland by the Rev. Frank Warzocha, pastor. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus cemetery.
Calling hours will be held today from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Mullin-Clifford Funeral Home in West Rutland.

Horace B. Van Wyck rites
SUN CITY CENTER, Fla. - A memorial service for Horace B. Van Wyck, who died Sept. 5, 2000, at his home, was held Sept. 8 at the United Community Church.
He had lived in Vernon and Jacksonville, Vt., and in 1980 moved to Florida. He had spent his summers on Lake St. Catherine in Poultney, Vt.
He worked for the New England Power Co.
Mr. Van Wyck was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
He was a Mason and a member of the United Community Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mary; three sons, Barry Van Wyck of Chelmsford, Mass., Neil Van Wyck of Jacksonville, Vt., and Roger Van Wyck of Aiken, S.C.; two daughters, Jane Drumm of Columbus, Ohio and Marguerite Norton of Fort Worth, Texas; two brothers, John Van Wyck of Acton, Maine and Sun City Center and George Van Wyck of Miami; five sisters, Evelyn Behrens of Jacksonville, Vt., Kathryn McIntyre of Pearl River, N.Y., Emily Hawkins of West Springfield, Mass., Mary Patch of Pittsford, Vt., and Sun City Center and Alice Williams of Englewood; and 13 grandchildren.
A service for the committal of the ashes will be held in the spring in Wilmington, Vt.
Voluntine H. Rollins rites
NORTH CLARENDON - The funeral service for Voluntine "Snooks" H. Rollins, 81, who died Sept. 9, 2000, at Rutland Regional Medical Center, was held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Wallingford Aldous Funeral Home by the Rev. Cass Gilbert, pastor of the South Wallingford Union Congregational Church. The burial and graveside service will be held today at 11 a.m. in the North cemetery in Billerica, Mass., by the Rev. Laurie Rofinot.

Alfred A. Durkee
HARTFORD - Alfred A. Durkee, 70, died Sept. 11, 2000, at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, N.H.
He was born April 20, 1930, in Rutland, son of Alfred A. and Oretha (Rankin) Durkee.
He graduated from Whitcomb High School in Bethel in 1948 and from the University of Vermont with a degree in Agriculture in 1952.
Mr. Durkee married
Janet Peterson on June 20, 1952, in Montpelier.
He worked for New England Telephone for 35 years until retiring in 1989.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War from 1952 to 1954.
Mr. Durkee taught hunter safety in White River Junction for many years and was a member of the Hartford Rod and Gun Club and a past member of the IBEW.
Survivors include his wife of Hartford; three sons, John A. Durkee of White River Junction, Peter A. Durkee of Hartford and Robert A. Durkee of Wilder; two daughters, Lynn D. Sciortino of Corinth and Elizabeth A. Durkee of Hartford; four grandchildren; a brother, Robert E. Durkee of Hampton, Va.; a sister, Marion Stillman of Rockport, Mass.; and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Knight Funeral Home in White River Junction. A memorial service will follow at 7 p.m.

Walter N. Bryan
STOCKBRIDGE - Walter "Walt" N. Bryan, 74, died Sept. 11, 2000, at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, N.H.
He was born April 14, 1926, in Swanton, son of Faye and Ella (Sharrow) Bryan.
He attended Bethel-Stockbridge schools.
He married
Annette J. Brown of Nov. 7, 1947, in Rochester.
Mr. Bryan was a farmer and logger and did excavation work.
He served in the U.S. Army in Europe during World War II.
He was one of the founders of the Mid-State Draft Pony Association, former member of the Eastern Draft Horse Association and the Northeast Kingdom Pulling Association.
Mr. Bryan enjoyed trading, pulling and breaking ponies and horses.
Survivors include his wife of Stockbridge; a son, N. Bruce Bryan of Stockbridge; three daughters, Jan Stratton and Donna Bryan of Stockbridge and Ann Nichols of Bethel; two stepbrothers, Frank Lambert and Henry Lambert; and four grandchildren.
He was predeceased by two brothers, Daniel Bryan and Arnold Bryan.
A memorial service will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. in the Maplewood cemetery on Stockbridge Common by the Rev. Ronald Rilling.

Earl H. Chase
WINDHAM - A graveside service for Earl H. Chase, who died Aug. 20, 2000, will be held Saturday, Sept. 30, at 1 p.m., in the South Windham cemetery in Jamaica. Francis Willette of Townshend will officiate.
Soloist will be Diane Willette.
Arrangements are under the direction of the White Funeral Home in Townshend.
Roger C. Bull
POWNAL - Roger C. Bull, 69, died Sept. 12, 2000, at his residence after a brief illness.
He was born July 31, 1931, in Bennington, Vt., son of Cecil C. Bull and the former Ida Groff.
He graduated from Arlington High School in 1949.
He married
Sue Crawford on May 5, 1951, in Bennington.
Mr. Bull was employed at Whitman's Feed Store in North Bennington and Fairbanks Express as a truck driver for nine years. He purchased his first truck in 1965 and drove for Midwest Emery Transport of Chicago, Ill. He was also employed by Howard O'Brien of Bennington and Schanno of West St. Paul, Minn. He taught his wife to drive an 18-wheeler, and they became a team in 1980, driving coast to coast until retiring in 1990.
Mr. Bull was a sergeant in the U.S. Army and served during the Korean War.
He was a member of the Loyal Order of the Eagles 1233.
He had met many friends on the Internet and they held a memorial service for him on the Internet.
Survivors include his wife of 41 years of Pownal; a son, Mark Bull of New Lebanon, N.Y.; a daughter, Nancy LeBarron of Street, Md.; six grandchildren; a sister, Mabel Pruden of Nassau, N.Y.; a half-sister, Cecile Sherwood of Manchester; nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by a son, Thomas Bull, in 1980.
Calling hours will be held Thursday from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Mahar and Son Funeral Home.
A memorial service will be held Thursday at 7 p.m. after the calling hours. The service will be given by the Rev. Deborah Trolenberg, pastor of the Shaftsbury Methodist Church.

Maurice E. Piche rites
BENNINGTON - The funeral Mass for Maurice E. Piche, 65, who died Sept. 9, 2000, at the Southwestern Vermont Medical Center, was celebrated Tuesday morning at Sacred Heart St. Francis de Sales Church in Bennington by the Rev. William Kelley, associate pastor.
Organist was Donald McMahon and soloist was Monica Murray.
Readings were given by June Carroll and Norina Gilarde.
Fellow staff members of Mr. Piche from the Southwestern Vermont Medical Center attended the visitation Monday evening at Hanson-Walbridge Funeral Home.
