Genevieve T. Biggi
Genevieve T. Biggi, 79, of Rutland, died Oct. 31, 2002, at Mountain View Center Genesis ElderCare.
She was born Dec. 14, 1922, in Center Rutland, the daughter of Paul and Antonia (Wotka) Jaskot.
She worked at Rosenblatz Dress Co., and retired from General Electric Co. after 30 years of service.
Mrs. Biggi was a member of Christ the King Church.
She enjoyed baking, cooking, picking blueberries and quilting.
Survivors include a daughter, Kathy Biggi of Rutland; two sons, Richard Biggi of Brandon and Thomas Biggi of Denver, Colo.; a sister, Pauline Taggart of Rutland; five grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Clito Biggi, in 1976; four sisters, Mary Dydo, Stella Wasik, Sophie Kantorski and Casey Jaskot; and two brothers, Theodore Giebutowski and Michael Jaskot.
The funeral service will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Christ the King Church. Burial will follow in Evergreen cemetery.
Friends may call Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Aldous Funeral Home.

Richard Clark
FAIR HAVEN — Richard Clark, 54, died Nov. 1, 2002, at Haven Health Care Center.
He was born Nov. 4, 1947, in Pawtucket, R.I., the son of Harold and Virginia (Woodmansee) Clark.
He was educated in South Kingstown, R.I.
He worked as a long-haul truck driver and most recently for the Sheldon Farm in Fair Haven.
Mr. Clark enjoyed hunting.
Survivors include his wife, Susanne (Bliven) Clark of Fair Haven and Waikoloa, Hawaii; a daughter, Tamara LeMois of Fair Haven; three sons, Kenneth Clark and James Clark, both of Fair Haven and Kyle Clark of Charlestown, R.I.; his mother, Virginia Walker and stepfather, Charles Walker of West Haven; three sisters, Carol Meyers of Pawcatuck, Conn., Nancy Pradell of Norwich, Conn., and Charlene Christian of Fair Haven; a step daughter, Rebecque Regentes of Waikolona, Hawaii; his former wife, Linda Pella of Charlestown, R.I.; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his father.
The memorial service will be held Monday at 1 p.m. at the Baptist Church in Ira. Burial will follow in Riverside cemetery in Ira.
There will be no calling hours.

Elizabeth F. Carmichael
The memorial service for Elizabeth F. Carmichael, 92, of Rutland, who died Oct. 24, 2002, will be held Monday at 3 p.m. at Trinity Episcopal Church.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Tossing Funeral Home.
Peter J. DePoy Rites
The funeral Mass for Peter J. DePoy, 44, of Rutland, who died Oct. 29, 2002, was celebrated Friday at Christ the King Church with the Rev. Thomas V. Mattison, associate pastor, officiating. Burial followed in Calvary cemetery.
Organist was Sister Pauline Gratton and vocalist was Sister Francis Patrick.
Bearers were Steve Dolphin, Paul Clifford, Larry Shappy, Christopher Cartier, Jeff Leonard, Jeff Schultz, Willy Maynard and Christopher Hier.
A prayer service was held Thursday afternoon at the Clifford Funeral Home by the Rev. Mattison.

Mary Margaret Kearney Rites
The graveside service for Mary Margaret Kearney, 83, of Rutland, who died Oct. 28, 2002, was held Friday in Calvary cemetery with the Rev. Andre Houle, pastor of St. Peter’s Church in Rutland, officiating.
Bearers were William Kearney, James Clifford, Gary Clifford and David Taggart.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Clifford Funeral Home.
Madeline K. Pollock Rites
PITTSFORD — The funeral Mass for Madeline K. Pollock, 81, who died Oct. 27, 2002, was celebrated Friday at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Pittsford with the Rev. James Lawrence, pastor, officiating. Burial followed in St. Alphonsus Catholic cemetery in Pittsford.
Organist was Stu James.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Barnard Funeral Home in Pittsford.
Warren L. Cole Rites
MOUNT HOLLY — The memorial celebration for Warren Lloyd “Shrimp” Cole, 62, who died Oct. 28, 2002, was held Friday at the Odd Fellows Hall in Belmont.
Organist was Nancy Kavanaugh and vocalist was Marilyn Dunwoody.

Margaret Reardon
Maggie Reardon, 40, of Avon, loving wife of Tom Reardon and devoted mother to T.J. and Parker, died Wednesday (October 30, 2002) at St. Francis Hospital.
Born December 27, 1961, in Hartford, she was the daughter of Marie and Leo LaVigne of Simsbury and lived in the area all of her life. Maggie attended St. Mary School, was a graduate of Simsbury High School, class of 1979 and graduated from the University of Vermont in 1981. She was employed by Drs. Karl and Gelb in West Hartford.
An avid runner, she chaired the Connecticut Race for the Cure Children’s Race in 2000 and 2001. One of the accomplishments of which she was most proud was winning the survivor race at the Vermont Race for the Cure in 2001.
She enjoyed the beaches of Nantucket, the ski slopes of Vermont, the basketball courts and baseball, soccer, and football fields of Avon. She loved to dance.
She is survived by her husband, Tom; her two adorable sons, T.J. and Parker; her parents, Marie and Leo LaVigne of Simsbury; her mother-in-law, Lucille Reardon of West Simsbury; her sisters, Terri Hathaway of Dorset, Vt., Suzi Waters of East Hampton, Nancy Schwindt of Dorset, Vt., Cathy Cummings of Simsbury; three brothers, Kelly LaVigne, JD, of Simsbury, Marty LaVigne of Simsbury and Rob LaVigne of Denver, Colo.; sisters-in-law, Liz, Anna and Jessica LaVigne, Diane Reardon and Patty Maciag; brothers-in-law, Jay Hathaway, Ray Waters, Paul Schwindt, Neil Cummings and John Maciag. Lovingly included in survivorship are Maggie’s many nieces and nephews, James and Martha Hathaway, their sons, Ryder and Colvin, Todd Hathaway, Missy and Alan McKenzie and their son, Harrison, Scott, Mark and Katie Waters, Toby, Aimee, Eliza, Alexa and Kendra Schwindt, Emma and Jack LaVigne, Stephanie, Mallory, Marty and A.J. LaVigne, Reed, Conley and Owen Cummings, Aidan LaVigne and Eliza Maciag.

Myrtle Wilder
LUDLOW — Myrtle May Miner Wilder, 55, died Oct. 30, 2002, in Atlanta, Ga., while visiting her children. She was born June 7, 1947, in Cavendish, the daughter of Dennis and Alberta (Wilkins) Miner. She worked at Mack Molding Co. in Cavendish for many years. Myrtle enjoyed fishing, and attending the Assembly of God Church in Proctorsville since she was a teenager and in later years, her great love was her dog, Miss Pebbles.
Survivors include her son, Robert Wilder of Atlanta, Ga.; her daughter, April (Wilder) McGregor of Atlanta, Ga.; a brother, Herbert Miner of Proctorsville; two sisters, Marie Johnson of Ludlow and Gloria Kinsman of North Springfield; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Earl Miner; and a sister, Hazel Pellitier.
There will be a memorial service Tuesday, Nov. 5, at 6 p.m. at the Victory Assembly of God Church in Proctorsville. u
Elizabeth Haviland
MANCHESTER — Elizabeth “Betty” Haviland, 77, died Nov. 1, 2002.
She was born May 18, 1925, in Greenwich, Conn., the daughter of Frances Galvin and James Burns.
She graduated from Stamford (Conn.) High School in 1942.
Mrs. Haviland was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Catholic Daughters, Northshire Newcomers and Eastern Star. She was also a member of the Turn of River Ladies Auxiliary, Friends of Hildene in Manchester, Rutland Hospital Grey Ladies, and a communicant of St. Paul’s Roman Catholic Church in Manchester. She was also active in the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts in Stamford, Conn.
Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Albert Haviland of Manchester; a son, Robert Haviland of Anchorage, Alaska; two daughters, Bonnie Corpolongo and Lorie Kelley, both of Stamford, Conn.; three grandchildren; a sister, Frances Scott; and several cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.
The memorial service will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at St. Paul’s Roman Catholic Church in Manchester. A funeral Mass and burial will be held in Stamford, Conn., at a later date.
Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Paula S. Anderson
ROCKINGHAM — Paula Slabot Anderson, 63, died Oct. 31, 2002, at Springfield Hospital.
She was born Nov. 12, 1938, the daughter of Abraham and Ester (Cone) Slabot.
She married
Robert Anderson on July 1, 1963.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Robert Anderson and Sgt. Abraham Anderson; a daughter, Judith Anderson; and three grandchildren.
The graveside service will be held Monday at 10 a.m. in Veteran’s cemetery in Randolph.
There will be no calling hours.

Conrad Barcomb
BRATTLEBORO — Conrad “Con” Barcomb, 79, died Nov. 1, 2002, at Brattleboro Memorial Hospital.
He was born April 18, 1923, in Mooers Forks, N.Y., the son of James and Laura (Rabideau) Barcomb. He attended schools in Mooers Forks.
He married
Margaret Sanborn on Nov. 18, 1950, in Brattleboro. She died in 1988.
Mr. Barcomb worked in the iron ore mines in Wertherbee, N.Y., and later at the Berkshire Fine Spinning Associates at the mill in Brattleboro. He also worked at W.V. Pulp and Paper Co., Guilford Paper Mill, and retired from Putney Paper as supervisor, in 1989.
He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during World War II in Germany.
He enjoyed antique and classic cars, and restoring Model A Fords for area collectors. He also enjoyed hunting.
Survivors include a son, Alan Barcomb of Brattleboro; a sister, Emeline Bezio of Brattleboro; two grandchildren and two great-granddaughters; many nieces and nephews and several cousins.
He was predeceased by two brothers, Lewis Barcomb and Jesse Barcomb; and four sisters, Viola Barcomb, Leona Beebe, Marguerite Lambert and Blanche Arno.
The graveside service will be held Monday at 10:30 a.m. in Morningside cemetery with the Rev. Stanley Deresienski, pastor of St. Michael’s Catholic Church, officiating.
There will be no calling hours.
