Paul R. Teetor
MIDDLEBURY - Paul R. Teetor died Aug. 21, 2000, at the Vermont Veterans Home in Bennington.
He was born in Detroit in 1919.
He completed his early schooling at Troy Conference Academy in Poultney and graduated from Princeton University in 1940. Mr. Teetor completed his legal studies at Columbia University, earning his law degree in 1947. He later earned an LLM at the University of California at Berkeley.
He joined the Army Air Corps during World War II, flying on a B-17, which was shot down during a bombing raid over Regensburg. He was a prisoner of war of the Germans for 15 months in Stalagluft 1, and was liberated in early 1945. He also served as an artillery officer during the Korean War.
He was a member of the Vermont Bar, and served as Addison County state's attorney. He later joined the legal staff of Shell Oil. Mr. Teetor later became an anti-trust prosecutor for the Federal Trade Commission and was elevated to the federal Administrative Law bench.
He organized the Vermont chapter of United World Federalists.
He was a member of the Selden Society, the American Society for Legal History and the Cosmos Club.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Katherine (Schindler) Teetor; a daughter, Kathe (Phillip J.) Bowen; a son, Paul Robert Bowen; a brother, Stephen Douglas Teetor of Poultney and Maui, Hawaii; five grandchildren; a niece; and three nephews.
Services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at St. Stephen's Church in Middlebury. Graveside rites will be private.

Laura Somerville
RANDOLPH - Laura "Jean" Somerville, 68, died Aug. 21, 2000, at Gifford Medical Center in Randolph.
She was born Jan. 22, 1932, in Randolph, daughter of Lewis V. and Ida J. (Grant) Chambers.
She graduated from Randolph High School and attended the nursing program at University of Vermont for two years.
She was married to Weldon Dean Somerville in 1952 in Texas.
A lifetime resident of Randolph, she had wintered in Winter Park, Fla., where she had worked for the Department of Business and Professional Regulation in Orlando.
She was a member of the West Oaks United Methodist Church in Ocoee, Fla.
Mrs. Somerville enjoyed gardening.
Survivors include her husband of Randolph; three sons, Jerry M. Somerville of Winter Park, Jack A. Somerville and John D. Somerville, both of Orlando; three daughters, Judy C. Conway and Jill K. Stevenson, both of Orlando, and Jane M. Barbee of North Carolina; a brother, Louis R. Chambers of New York City; a sister, Polly Slack of Bethel; and 10 grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in the Pleasant View Cemetery in Randolph.

Elwin V. Farnham
TUNBRIDGE - Elwin "Dutch" V. Farnham, 72, died Aug.21, 2000, at the Gifford Medical Center in Randolph.
He was born Aug. 30, 1927, in Tunbridge, son of Philip A. and Phyllis (Davis) Farnham.
He graduated from South Royalton High School in South Royalton in 1945.
He was married to Elsie Sprague on May 24, 1968, in Tunbridge.
Mr. Farnham worked for Farnham Brothers until 1951 when he bought the business from his father. He operated the roofing business for 49 years.
He was a member of the Rising Sun Masonic Lodge 7, F&AM, in South Royalton.
Survivors include his wife of Tunbridge; two sisters, Marie Sherlock of Barre and Donna Farnham of North Port, Fla.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by a brother, Philip "Sam" Farnham Jr., who died in 1998.
A private graveside service will be held in the Village Cemetery in Tunbridge at the convenience of the family.

Ureka L. Sunderland rites
SHOREHAM - The memorial service for Ureka L. Sunderland, 91, who died Aug. 20. 2000, was held Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the Shoreham Congregational Church by the Rev. Wayne Holsman, pastor. Burial will be private in Lakeview Cemetery in Shoreham.
Organist was Gail Wood.
Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Sanderson Funeral Service in Middlebury.
Frank P. Ellis Sr.
CASTLETON — Frank Paul Ellis Sr., 87, died Nov. 13, 2001, at his home after a long illness.
He was born Sept. 24, 1914, in Castleton, the son of Charles and Martha (Ness) Ellis.
He was educated in Castleton schools.
As a young man, Mr. Ellis worked with his father on the family dairy farm. After the death of his father, he purchased the farm and continued to operate it until the early 1960s when he retired from farming. He then worked for F.A. Tucker Construction Co. for many years, retiring in 1975.
Mr. Ellis was a member of Lee Lodge 30 F&AM of Castleton for more than 50 years.
Survivors include his son, Frank Ellis Jr. of Chester; two daughters, Joyce Fortier of Castleton and Debbie Gokey of Rutland; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his wife, Helen (Bushey) Ellis in 1993, and by three brothers, Charles Ellis, Jim Ellis and George Ellis.
The funeral service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in Hillside Cemetery in Castleton with the Lee Lodge 30, F&AM, providing a fraternal service at the graveside.
There will be no calling hours.

Evelyn F. Grabowski
WEST RUTLAND — Evelyn F. Grabowski, 76, died Nov. 13, 2001, in Rutland.
She was born May 10, 1925, in Pittsford, the daughter of Ralph and Margaret (Taylor) Mills.
She was a member of St. Bridget’s Church and former member of West Rutland Auxiliary Unit 87.
Survivors include a daughter, Marsha Todd of North Clarendon; two sons, Joseph Grabowski Jr. of Alexandria, La., and Richard Grabowski of Hubbardton; three brothers, Clyde Mills of Castleton, Gordon Mills of Gassetts and Charles Mills of Alaska; two sisters, Gertrude Dansro of Connecticut and Marion Sheldon of Rutland; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Grabowski Sr. in 1994; three brothers, Frank Mills, George Mills and Ralph Mills; and two sisters, Lois Fagnano and Anna Hier.
The funeral Mass will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at St. Bridget’s Church. Burial will follow in St. Bridget’s Cemetery.
Friends may call Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Mullin-Clifford Funeral Home in West Rutland.

POULTNEY — A celebration of life memorial service for Yvonne M. Rohde will be held Saturday, Nov. 24, at 10 a.m. at Poultney United Methodist Church.

Eugene J. Kelly
KILLINGTON — The funeral service for Eugene J. Kelly, 70, of Killington, who died Monday will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at Christ the King Church in Rutland. Officiating will be the Rev. Reid C. Mayo, pastor.
Mr. Kelly was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., Oct. 13, 1931.
Graveside services will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at Vermont Veterans Cemetery in Randolph.
Friends may call at Clifford Funeral Home in Rutland Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m.
A prayer service will be held Thursday at 7 p.m. with the Rev. Mayo.
Frances W. Lewis Rites
The private graveside service for Frances W. Lewis, 89, of Rutland, who died Nov. 11, 2001, was held Wednesday in Evergreen Cemetery with the Rev. Thomas Mattison, assistant pastor of Christ the King Church, officiating.
A gathering of family and friends to celebrate her life will be held Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Maples on Stratton Road.
Memorial contributions may be made to Shriner’s Children’s Hospital, 16 Carew St., Springfield, Mass., 01104.

Burke Infant Rites
The funeral service for Armond Adelard Burke, 6-month-old infant son of Krista Burke and Joshua Harrinton, who died Nov. 12, 2001, was held Wednesday at the Clifford Funeral Home in Rutland with the Rev. Bruce Bishop, pastor of First Baptist Church of Rutland, officiating. Burial followed in East Clarendon Cemetery.
Words of remembrance were offered by Betty Durkin.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Clifford Funeral Home.
Norman W. Densmore
NORTH SPRINGFIELD — Norman “Skinner” W. Densmore, 78, died Nov. 13, 2001, at his home.
He was born Dec. 5, 1923, in Westminster, the son of Harry and Flossie (Hosmer) Densmore.
He attended schools in Chester.
Mr. Densmore was employed at Jewell Brook Woolen Mill in Ludlow for many years.
He was a former member of the Springfield Moose Lodge 679.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Survivors include a brother, Richard Densmore of North Springfield; a sister, Patricia Monahan of Norwalk, Conn.; two nephews and two nieces whom he raised, Mark and Douglas Densmore, both of North Springfield, Marie Benton of Newport, N.H., and Donna Knight of Chester; and five great-nieces and a great-nephew.
He was predeceased by three brothers, Kenneth Densmore, Harold Densmore and Raymond Densmore.
A funeral service will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Davis Memorial Chapel in Springfield with the Rev. Floyd McIntyre, pastor of the Advent Christian Church of North Springfield, officiating. Burial will follow in Cavendish Village Cemetery in Cavendish.
Friends may call Friday one hour prior to the service at the Davis Chapel.
