Debra A. Kinney Rites
BENNINGTON — The funeral service for Debra Ann Kinney who died Oct. 26, 2001, was held Tuesday at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church with the Rev. Arthur Kingdon, rector of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, officiating. Burial followed in Park Lawn Cemetery.
Organist was Alan Walker.
Readers were Emily Kennedy and Judith Corbett.
Bearers were Scott Dickie, Gary Kinney, Jeffrey Kinney, Rick Sawyer, Dane Dickie and Todd Stemp.
A reception was held at the Bennington Elks Club after the service.
Members of Bennington Elks Lodge 567 held a service Monday evening.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Mahar & Son Funeral Home.
Alice K. White
LEICESTER — Alice Kelsey White, 91, died Oct. 31, 2001, at Medco of Brandenburg in Brandenburg, Ky.
Funeral arrangements are pending at the Miller & Ketcham Funeral Home in Brandon.
LeRoy Waite
GRANVILLE, N.Y. — LeRoy Waite, 88, died Oct. 30, 2001, at Glens Falls Hospital.
He was born April 13, 1913, in Pawlet, the son of Percy and Rachel (Alexander) Waite.
Mr. Waite retired in 1983 as Woodlands manager for Mettowee Lumber and Plastics Co.
He was a former chief of the Henry Hose Fire Department.
Survivors include a daughter, Dorothy McCarthy of Las Vegas, Nev.; a brother, Francis Waite of West Pawlet, Vt.; three sisters, Carolyn LaFaso of West Rutland, Vt., Winifred Somich of Granville and Norma Mason of Pawlet, Vt.; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife of 64 years, Helen (Dirga) Waite in 1998; a son, Edward Waite; a sister, Eleanor Faxon, and a brother, Percy Waite.
The funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday at 9:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church with the Rev. Thomas Zelker as celebrant. Burial will follow in Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery in Granville.
Friends may call Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Robert M. King Funeral Home in Granville.

Clayton G. Senecal
Clayton G. Senecal, 67 of Rutland died Aug. 21, 2000, at his home.
He was born Aug. 25, 1932, in Proctor, son of Frank and Elizabeth (Niles) Senecal.
He was married to Betty Perkins on Jan. 15, 1956, in Rutland.
Mr. Senecal worked at Reilly Tire, Abel Tire, and most recently at the Rutland Herald.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran and served during the Korean War on the USS Belle Grove.
He was a member of the American Legion Post 31 of Rutland.
He enjoyed woodworking.
Survivors include his wife of Rutland; four daughters, Peggy Lebo of Biddeford, Maine, Melinda Lanfear, Stacy Hier and Andrea Flood, all of Rutland; a son, Clayton Senecal II of Rutland; five brothers, Harold Senecal of Rutland, Leland Senecal of Pittsford, Ken Senecal of Montpelier, Louie Senecal of West Rutland and Herb Senecal of Georgia; four sisters, Gladys Burney and Beatrice Nemeth, both of Proctor, Kay Herrick of West Rutland and Fran Reynolds of North Carolina; 15 grandchildren; a great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at the Tossing Funeral Home by the Rev. Kenneth G. Bevan, pastor of the Mendon Methodist Community Church.
Friends may call Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Robert M. Kotzek
Robert M. Kotzek, 72, of Rutland died Aug. 20, 2000, at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, N.H.
He was born June 6, 1928, in Meunster, Germany, son of Robert and Frieda (Brinkman) Kotzek.
Mr. Kotzek was married to Vera Meseck. He and his wife lived in Rutland for 30 years. They owned and operated Microtek Systems Inc.
Survivors include his wife of Rutland and several cousins in Germany.
A private service will be held at the convenience of the family.

Olive M. Baratta
NORTH PROVIDENCE, R.I. -Olive M. Baratta, 84, of Chepachet died June 15, 2000, at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital in North Providence.
She was born in Poultney, Vt., daughter of Donald R. and Carrie (Scribner) Jones.
Survivors include two daughters, Carrie M. Huguenin of Leesburg, Fla., and Edna O. McDermott of Gloucester; a stepdaughter, Doris Lopez of Hempstead, N.Y.; two grandsons; and five great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her first husband, Ora Haradon; and her second husband, Frank Baratta.
A graveside service will be held Friday at 1 p.m. in East Clarendon Cemetery, Airport Road, East Clarendon, Vt.
Raymond F. Roy
MONTEREY, Calif. - Raymond Francis Roy, formerly of Proctor, Vt., died Aug 19, 2000.
He was the son of Frances and Raymond O. Roy.
Survivors include his children, Jennifer Owen and Patrick Owen Roy of California.
A memorial Mass will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Immaculate Conception in Terryville, Conn. Burial will be held Saturday at 2:30 p.m. in Mount Calvary in St. Johnsbury.
Contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to the Leukemia Society of America.
Grace L. Archer
WATERVLIET, N.Y. - Grace L. Archer, 94, died Aug. 16, 2000, at Glens Falls Hospital after a brief illness.
She was born in Piermont, Rockland County, daughter of Casper and Alice Peterson Van Dien.
She resided in Aberdeen, Wash., for several years, then in Poultney, Vt., before moving to Watervliet in 1983.
She attended schools in Piermont, and was a graduate of Mount Sinai Hospital School of Nursing in New York City, receiving her registered nurse certification in 1927.
She was employed as a hospital and private duty nurse at St. Joseph's Hospital in Aberdeen for several years, retiring in 1967.
She was a member of the World Wide Church of God in Schenectady.
Survivors include a sister, Lila Borichevsky of Poultney, Vt.; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by two sisters, Ann Thompson and Esther Birkland; and two brothers, Casper Van Dien and Myron Van Dien.
The funeral service will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at the Bowen Funeral Home, 600 Fifth Ave. (corner of Sixth Street), Watervliet. Burial will follow in Memory's Garden in Colonie.
Friends may call Friday from noon to 1 p.m. at the funeral home.

Grace I. Vassau rites
BRANDON - A Mass of Christian Burial for Grace Isabell Vassau, 81, who died Aug. 19, 2000, at Rutland Regional Medical Center, was held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Brandon by the Rev. Albert Baltz, pastor.
A graveside committal service and burial followed in Goshen Community Cemetery.
Organist was Bonnie Johnson and soloist was Jeanine Griffin.
Honorary pallbearers were Debbie Alger of Salisbury and Rhonda Jackson of Panton. Active pallbearers were Kevin Jackson Sr. and Scott Jackson, both of Ripton, Bill Jackson of Bristol, Wesley Wheeler of Brandon, Glen Cousineau of Orwell and David Jackson of Panton.
A reception was held by the family at St. Mary's Church Parish Hall after the committal service.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Miller & Ketcham Funeral Home in Brandon.
Kellie M. Derrick
BRANDON - Kellie Marie Derrick, 31, died Aug. 22, 2000, at her home in Forest Dale.
The funeral service is pending for Friday at the Brandon United Methodist Church.

CUTTINGSVILLE - Frances L. Potter, 67, died Aug. 22, 2000, at Rutland Regional Medical Center after a brief illness.

Lorraine D. Sweeney rites
EAST POULTNEY - A funeral service for Lorraine Doris Sweeney, 75, who died Aug. 18, 2000, at her home, was held Monday at 11 a.m., at the Roberts-Aubin Funeral Home in Poultney by the Rev. Stephen R. Payne, pastor of the United Baptist Church of Poultney. Burial followed in East Poultney Cemetery.
Words of remembrances were given by Mac Ray, a nephew.
Earl H. Chase
WINDHAM - Earl H. Chase, 84, died Aug. 20, 2000, at his home.
He was born Nov. 24, 1915, in Windham, son of George W. and Hazel (Wilder) Chase.
He attended schools in Windham.
Mr. Chase was a logger for Don Prouty and Ed LeMay. He was also a caretaker for people's gardens and lawns.
Mr. Chase served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a medic.
He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans, John Blake Chapter 15, and Disabled American Veterans of Brattleboro.
His hobbies included hunting and fishing.
Survivors include five half-brothers, Robert Chase of South Londonderry, Milford Chase and Roger Chase, both of South Windham, Herb Chase of Lower Bartonsville and Richard Chase of South Newfane; and two sisters, Alice Cady of Charlestown, N.H., and Ruth Gale of Wardsboro.
A graveside service will be held in South Windham Cemetery in Jamaica at a later date. Contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to the Windham County Humane Society, 916 West River Road, Route 30, Brattleboro, 05301.
Arrangements are under the direction of the White Funeral Home in Townshend.
