Maurice E. Rheault
WEST ADDISON — Maurice E. Rheault, 57, died May 31, 2001, at his home.
He was born Nov. 30, 1943, in Manchester, N.H., son of Sylvain and Yvette (Poisson) Rheault.
He was a member of the Community Bible Church in South Burlington.
Survivors include his wife, Laura Rheault of West Addison; a son, Michael Rheault of Manchester, N.H.; a daughter, Michelle Rheault-Bissonette of West Addison; two sisters, Jean Magdziarz of Hooksett, N.H., and Jeanette Juranty of Portsmouth, N.H.; a granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at the Community Bible Church in South Burlington. Burial will be at a later date.
Friends may call Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Brown-McClay Funeral Home in Vergennes.
Memorial contributions may be made to Mr. Rheault’s family, 186 Jersey St., West Addison, 05491.

Eugene J. Pelletier Rites
CASTLETON - A funeral Mass was celebrated Monday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church for Eugene Joseph "Gene" Pelletier, 72, who died Wednesday at his home in Castleton. The Rev. J. Charles Durham, parish priest, officiated. Concelebrants were the Rev. Robert Whalen and the Rev. Joseph Pray. Burial followed in Hillside Cemetery.
Organist was Hazel Beals. Soloist was MaryJo Knapp.
Bearers were Larry Harvey, Phil Harvey, Peter Woods, Stephen Pelletier, Dave Pelletier, Ronnie Harvey, Joe Pelletier and Mike Ferraro.
A wake service was conducted Sunday evening by Rev. Durham at the Durfee Funeral Home in Fair Haven.
Rose Weiss
Rose Unger Weiss, 97, of Rutland died May 27, 2001, at Eden Park Nursing Home.
She was born in Patterson, N.J., on Oct. 10, 1903, the daughter of Samuel and Anna Unger.
Mrs. Weiss was a graduate of Potsdam College in Potsdam, N.Y.
She was a music teacher in several high schools in New York state.
Mrs. Weiss was the oldest living member of the Rutland Jewish Center. She enjoyed several bridge clubs she belonged to in Rutland.
She was a vocalist, singing in several churches for services and at weddings.
Survivors include a sister, Augusta Korn of Boca Raton, Fla., and several nephews, including Maurice Mintzer of Rutland.
She was predeceased by her husband, Jack Weiss; and by three sisters, Ethel Mintzer, Bessie Arnson and Gussie Unger; and by three brothers, Charles Unger, Meyer Unger and Bernard Unger.
The funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the Rutland Jewish Center on Grove Street. Burial will follow in the Rutland Jewish Cemetery in East Clarendon.
There will be no calling hours.
Preparation rites were by the Jewish Sacred Society of Burlington.

Ronald P. Trotto
SHELTON, Conn. - Ronald P. Trotto, 51, beloved husband of Veronica Ann Reed Trotto of Shelton, died May 27, 2001, in the Griffin Hospital, Derby, following a brief illness.
Mr. Trotto was born in Bridgeport on Oct. 19, 1949. He was the son of Rita Lisi Trotto of Bridgeport and the late Agustine P. Trotto.
Mr. Trotto was a Shelton resident for 20 years and was the owner and operator of Ronnie's Florist for 30 years.
He was a member and Past President of the Huntington Business Association, a member of the Connecticut Hurricanes Drum and Bugle Corps and a former coach for Shelton Little League. Mr. Trotto taught floral design at Housatonic Community College, Bridgeport.
Besides his wife and mother, he is survived by his devoted sons, Ronald P. Trotto II and his wife, Heather, of New Hartford and Matthew J. Trotto of Shelton; a sister, Deborah Hayden and her husband, Mark, of Monroe; and a cherished grandson, Alexander Trotto of New Hartford; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will take place from the Spadaccino Community Funeral Home, 315 Monroe Turnpike (Route 111), Monroe, on Wednesday, May 30, 2001, at 9 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 424 Coram Ave., Shelton at 10 a.m. Interment will be in St. Raphael's Cemetery in Poultney, Vt., on Thursday, May 31, 2001, at 11 a.m.

Rose L. Pedone
The funeral service for Rose L. (Barone) Pedone, 89, of Rutland, who died May 26, 2001, will be held today at noon in St. Peter's Church. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.

Harvey Bartlett
MORRISVILLE - Harvey Bartlett, 81, of Morrisville died May 28, 2001, at his home.
He was born April 4, 1920, in Three Rivers, Quebec, the son of Wilfred J. and Malvina (Germain) Bartlett.
He attended Rutland Public Schools.
Mr. Bartlett was retired.
He is survived by a brother, Roland L. Bartlett of Proctor.
He was predeceased by a sister, Jeannette C. Walkney; and two brothers, Laurier C. Bartlett and Fernand E. Bartlett.
There will be no calling hours.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Mildred E. Aldous
GRANVILLE, N.Y. - Mildred E. Aldous, 85, died May 28, 2001, following a short illness.
She was born Dec. 19, 1915, in Granville, the daughter of Frank and Aura (Tillotson) DeKalb.
She was a housewife and a member of the Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Stanley Aldous; two sons, Edgar Aldous of Granville and Roger Aldous of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; five daughters, Sharon DeKalb and Gail Bently, both of Granville, Dale Strouse of Milton, Fla., and Donna Landon and Joanne Dutcher, both of Hartford; a brother, Gordon DeKalb of North Granville; two sisters, Lillian Beckwith of Whitehall and Flora Holmes of Hebron; 17 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Robert M. King Funeral Home in Granville with Pastor Kenneth Prater of the Durkeetown Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be at the North Granville Cemetery.
There are no calling hours.

READING - A graveside committal service for Betty J. Wade, 56, who died April 6, 2001, will be held Friday at 3 p.m. in the South Reading Cemetery. The Rev. Eric Graffam, pastor of the Victory Assembly of God Church in Proctorsville, will officiate.

SANDGATE - A graveside committal service for Sibia Cerretani of Sandgate, who died March 24, 2001, will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Sandgate Cemetery with the Rev. George Dupuis, pastor of St. Margaret Mary's Church in Arlington, officiating.

WOODSTOCK - A graveside service for John Rambeau will be held at the Riverside Cemetery on Friday at 1 p.m.

Violette M. Michael
PLYMOUTH - Violette M. Michael, 89, died May 27, 2001, at the Gill Odd Fellows Home in Ludlow.
She was born Oct. 17, 1911, in Plymouth, daughter of Curtis Derby and Bertha (Royce) Derby.
Mrs. Michael received her education in the Plymouth School and at Black River Academy.
She married Arnold J. Michael on Oct. 29, 1935. Mr. Michael died Feb. 24, 1989.
Mrs. Michael cooked at the Coolidge Homestead and was manager for the Calvin Coolidge Museum Gift Shop. She served as an auditor for the town of Plymouth.
She wintered in Tampa, Fla.
She was a member of the Plymouth Union Church.
Survivors include three sons, Rodney A. Michael of Riverview, Fla., and Rudolph C. Michael and Ralph J. Michael, both of Plymouth; three daughters, Marguerita M. Hutt of Bridgewater, Marilyn M. Seward of East Wallingford and Mary Ann Underhill of Riverview, Fla.; 10 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by two sisters, Irma Botham and Avis Johnson.
The funeral service will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Plymouth Union Church in Plymouth. Pastor Nelson Hutt will officiate. Burial will follow in the Plymouth Cemetery.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. at Mrs. Michael's home in Plymouth.

Theresa M. Slattery
BELLOWS FALLS - Theresa M. "Tessie" Slattery, 98, of Bellows Falls died May 28, 2001, at the McGirr Nursing Home.
She was born April 29, 1903, in Massena, N.Y., the daughter of Robert C. and Anna (McDowell) Gray.
Mrs. Slattery attended schools in New York and worked at Lecuyer's Manufacturing and at the Liquidometer in Bellows Falls.
In September 1921 she married James E. Slattery Sr. He died in 1962.
Survivors include two daughters, Mary L. Reed of Bellows Falls and Barbara E. Guindon of Springfield, Mass.; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
She was predeceased by her husband; a daughter, Corinne A. Gillen of Sehring, Fla.; three sons, James F. Slattery of Burlington, John K. Slattery of Chicopee, Mass., and Daniel S. Slattery of Wells, Maine; her brothers and sisters; and a grandson.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated by the Rev. Brian Mead Thursday at the St. Charles Church at 9:30 a.m. Burial will follow in the St. Charles Cemetery in Westminster.
Friends may call Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Fenton & Hennessey Funeral Home in Bellows Falls.

GRAFTON - A committal service for Cynthia P. Gregory of Grafton, who died April 12, 2001, at the McGirr Nursing home in Bellows Falls, will be held Friday at the Houghtonville Cemetery at 11 a.m. The Rev. Harold Noyes will officiate.
