Paul G. Buskey
SPRINGFIELD — Paul G. Buskey, 87, died May 30, 2001, at Springfield Hospital.
He was born Dec. 4, 1913, in Barton, son of William and Josephine (Valley) Buskey.
Mr. Buskey married Jovanna Davis on July 3, 1939, in Barton.
He was employed at Fellows Gear Shaper for 25 years.
He was an avid golfer and bowler for 40 years, and enjoyed needlework, cross-stitch and latch-hook.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years; a son, Frank Buskey of Florida; a daughter, Lorraine Millay of Springfield; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by two sisters, Florence and Doris; and a brother, Rudolph.
The memorial service will be held at a later date.

Joel P. Henning
RUPERT — Joel Peter Henning, 61, died May 30, 2001, at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center in Bennington after a brief illness.
He was born June 12, 1939, in South Orange, N.J., son of Joseph P. and Nanette (Thomas) Henning.
He graduated from Valley Forge Military Academy. He received a bachelor’s degree from Washington and Jefferson College, graduated from Seabury Western Theological Seminary and was ordained an Episcopal priest in December 1966. He received his doctorate degree from the University of Kentucky.
Dr. Henning served as an Episcopal priest at the Church of the Good Shepard in Lexington, Ky., and as the associate superintendent of the Louisville, Ky., public schools, where he designed and implemented the desegregation plan for the district.
In 1975 Dr. Henning became a management consultant working with firms throughout the country. His focus on an inclusionary style of management led to his first book, “The Future of Staff Groups,” published in 1997.
Survivors include his wife Judy (Hamilton) Henning; his children, Nannette Henning, Vicky Cline, Ann Burnett and Chapman Burnett; a sister, Peaches Henning; and two granddaughters.
The memorial service will be held Monday at 1 p.m. at the Community Church in Dorset.
Friends may call Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m. at the family farm in Rupert.

Gladys C. Wood
WHITE RIVER JUNCTION — Gladys Crouse Wood, 82, of Claremont, N.H., died May 30, 2001, at Valley Regional Hospital in Claremont.
She was born Jan. 16, 1919, in Lapland, Nova Scotia, daughter of Philip and Grace (Shattuck) Crouse.
She attended school in White River Junction.
She was married to Arthur McCauley and later to Royal R. Wood Jr. She had lived in Claremont for the past 20 years.
Mrs. Wood worked as a waitress at several Upper Valley restaurants and at various area woolen mills.
Survivors include a son, Royal Ransom Wood III of Poultney; a daughter, Phyllis Call Regione of Windsor; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a daughter, April Wood; and two brothers, John and Rupert Crouse.
Friends may call Monday from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Knight Funeral Home in White River Junction. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with burial in Hilltop Cemetery in Quechee.

Lorenzo E. Perry
CLAREMONT, N.H. — Lorenzo E. Perry, 90, died May 30, 2001, at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon after a period of failing health.
He was born March 5, 1911, in Chittenden, Vt., son of Clarence W. and Flora (Durkee) Perry.
He attended schools in Chittenden.
Mr. Perry married Dorothy E. Parshley on June 17, 1934.
During World War II he was a welder and instructor on subMarines at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard. He was later employed by Jones & Lamson in Springfield, Vt., for 22 years, retiring in 1976 as supervisor of Plant 3 welding and fabricating. After retirement he continued instructing and certifying welders for the American Welding Society.
He was a member of the Masons.
He enjoyed fishing, reading and gardening.
Survivors include his wife of 67 years of Claremont; two sons, David Perry of Claremont and Timothy Perry of Acworth; a brother, Donald Perry of Suncook; two sisters, Marjorie Muzzy of Chittenden, Vt., and Faith Blanchard of Pittsford, Vt.; a grandson; two granddaughters; a great-granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a sister, Verna Davenport.
The funeral service will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Roy Funeral Home with the Rev. Priscilla Hull of the United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Horton Cemetery in Chittenden, Vt.
Friends may call Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home, 93 Sullivan St.

Lawrence L. Gillette
SPRINGFIELD — The graveside committal service for Lawrence L. Gillette, 65, who died Jan. 12, 2001, will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. in Oakland Cemetery in Springfield with the Rev. Richard Cederholm, pastor of the North Springfield Baptist Church, officiating.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Davis Memorial Chapel.
Kathleen D. Read
BRIDPORT — Kathleen Danson Read, 93, formerly of Middlebury, died May 29, 2001.
She was born Nov. 21, 1907, in Burnley, Lancashire, England, daughter of John and Margaret (Jones) Danson.
She attended the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art for a career in elocution and acting and earned a gold medal from the London Academy.
She married George R. Read of Burnley in 1931. They resided in England, Geneva, Switzerland, Mineola and Long Island, N.Y.
Mrs. Read taught speech and elocution mostly to children in England. After moving to Vermont in 1964, she worked in the accounting offices of Middlebury College and Benjamin Brothers Dry Cleaners.
She was a member of the Middlebury Community Players, Modern Homemakers Club of Bridport, and an honorary member of the Green Mountain Branch of the National League of American Pen Women. She served as treasurer for the Vermont State and Middlebury garden clubs and the Middlebury Congregational Church Women’s Fellowship.
Survivors include a daughter, Margaret Read Rother of Bridport; two granddaughters; and five great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband.
The memorial service will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Middlebury Congregational Church. A private family graveside ceremony will be held at a later date.
There will be no calling hours.

RANDOLPH — Henry G. Yngve, 85, died May 31, 2001, at the Four Seasons in Northfield.

MIDDLEBURY — The memorial service for Margaret Grierson Cole, who died Jan. 26, 2001, will be held Friday, June 8, at 3 p.m. at the Middlebury Congregational Church, corner of Route 7 and Main Street in Middlebury, with the Rev. David Andrews, pastor, officiating.

MIDDLEBURY — The graveside committal service and burial for Marie L. Hornbeck, who died Feb. 7, 2001, will be held Wednesday, June 6, at 11 a.m. in Mountain View Cemetery in Orwell with the Rev. Richard Neal officiating.

William J. Greco
WHITEHALL, N.Y. — William J. Greco, 46, died May 29, 2001, at his home.
He was born May 28, 1955, in Glens Falls, son of Michael Greco Jr. and Jean (Graff) Greco of Harrisburg, Pa.
He graduated from Whitehall Central High School in 1973.
Mr. Greco was employed at Carmody Ford in Greenwich as an auto dealer for 14 years and recently at Vettengl Ford in Comstock.
Survivors include his mother; his wife, Bonnie M. (Trinci) Greco of Rutland, Vt.; two daughters, Krystal and Danielle Greco, both of Rutland; a brother, James Greco of Whitehall; his maternal grandmother, Elsie McCord of Harrisburg, Pa.; two aunts; a niece and nephew; and several cousins.
He was predeceased by his father; and an infant brother, Michael Greco III.
A private memorial service will be held at the Michael G. Angiolillo Funeral Home, 210 Broadway, Whitehall, at the convenience of family and close friends with the Rev. Francis Dunbar officiating. Burial will follow in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery in Whitehall.
There will be no calling hours.
