WALLINGFORD - John R. White, 63, died Feb. 7, 2001, at Rutland Regional Medical Center.

D. Bruce Campbell rites
The memorial service for Donald Bruce Campbell, known as Bruce Campbell, 55, who died last week while walking in the community he knew as home, was held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the Aldous Funeral Home with the Rev. William M. Campbell, a brother and pastor of the Circleville (Ohio) Presbyterian Church, officiating.
Reader was David G. Campbell, a brother, of Medford, Mass. Opening prayer and readings were offered by the Rev. David Andrews, pastor of the Middlebury Congregational Church. Words and tributes were also spoken by several attending the service.
Recordings of Mr. Campbell playing the piano were played throughout the service.
Memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Aldous Funeral Home.
Richard P. Wilson Sr. rites
WEST RUTLAND - The funeral service for Richard P. Wilson Sr., 69, who died Feb. 2, 2001, at his home, was held Wednesday at the Clifford Funeral Home with the Rev. Edward A. Hackett Jr., pastor of the Rutland United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment followed in Evergreen Cemetery with burial to be held at a later date.
Reflections were spoken by Edward Wilson, a brother.
American Legion Post 31 of Rutland provided military services with Jim Burke presenting the flag to the family.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Clifford Funeral Home in Rutland.
Andreas Moisis
BELLOWS FALLS - Andreas Moisis, 84, died Feb. 6, 2001, at his home.
He was born April 24, 1916, in Patrikki, Cyprus.
As a young man he left Cyprus and immigrated to London, where he began his professional wrestling career. He also trained at the Savoy Hotel in London, where he became a chef. After the war, Mr. Moisis became chef of the Latchis Restaurant in Brattleboro. In 1945 he moved to Burlington and worked as a head chef and eventually became the owner of the Arcadia Restaurant. In 1957 Mr. Moisis and his family moved to Bellows Falls, where they purchased and ran the Miss Bellows Falls Diner for 15 years. They sold the diner and bought and ran the Andrew's Inn until his retirement to Florida in 1979.
During World War II he joined Her Majesty's Service of the Merchant Marines.
He was a member of Chef de Cuisine for many years, a lifelong member of the Elks and the Bellows Falls Lodge, and a longtime member of the Masons, Mt. Sinai Temple and Scottish Rite Chapters in Burlington.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Filomena Lioce Moisis of Bellows Falls; two sons, John Moisis of Bellows Falls and Andy Moisis of New Hampshire; a daughter, Marie of Burlington; two sisters in Cyprus; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
The funeral will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at St. John's Episcopal Church in Walpole, N.H., followed by burial in the Rockingham Meeting House Cemetery in Rockingham.
There will be no visiting hours.
Contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to the Visiting Nurses Association, One Hospital Court, Bellows Falls, 05101.

James A. Allan
NEWFANE, N.Y. - James Angus Allan, 85, formerly of Chester, Vt., died Feb. 7, 2001, in Buffalo General Hospital.
He was born March 15, 1915, in Hanover, N.H., son of James Angus Allan Sr. and Sarah Farley Allan.
Mr. Allan lived in Newfane for the past two years after coming from Chester, Vt., where he lived for 40 years.
He married Adoree Greiner on Dec. 31, 1939, in Vermont.
He was an applications engineer for Jones and Lamson Machine Tool Co. for 40 years in Springfield, Vt., retiring in 1981. He traveled with the company throughout the United States, Canada, South Africa and Brazil to handle applications for the Comparator Division.
Mr. Allan enjoyed woodworking, camping and reading.
Survivors include his wife of Newfane; his children, James Angus Allan of Dubuque, Iowa, Judith Naylor of Burt, N.Y., Juliet Hansen of Southwick, Mass., Col. Sarah Waterman of Simsbury, Conn., and Jean Murphy of North Andover, Mass.; a brother, David Allan of Lee, N.H.; a sister, Jean Farrell of Santa Rosa, Calif.; and eight grandchildren.
The memorial service will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at Lockport Congregational Church, East Avenue, Lockport, N.Y., with the Rev. James Hakes officiating.
There will be no calling hours.

Donolyn J. Hagelberg
ARLINGTON - Donolyn J. Hagelberg, 52, died Feb. 6, 2001, at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center after her third battle with cancer.
She was born Dec. 11, 1948, in Bennington, daughter of Olga and Richard Hagelberg.
She graduated from Arlington High School in 1966 and the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, Mass., in 1970 with a degree in dietetics.
She worked at the Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit for 26 years as a clinical dietitian. She also taught classes to dietetic interns.
She enjoyed reading, creative writing, going for long walks with the dogs and visiting with those she met. She also enjoyed crewel embroidery, baking, working in her vegetable and flower garden, listening to music and traveling with the family. She was a supporter of many human, animal and environmental concerns.
Survivors include her mother of Arlington; a sister, Nancy Hagelberg-Cummings of Arlington; a brother, David Hagelberg of Arlington; a brother, Wayne Hagelberg of Gelden, Colo.; a niece and four nephews; and cousins, an aunt and relatives in Finland.
She was predeceased by her father, who died in 1992.
A celebration of her life will be held at a later date at home in the gardens she loved.
There will be no calling hours.

Catherine C. Corcoran
NORTH BENNINGTON - Miss Catherine C. Corcoran, 90, a well-known and highly respected local educator and former superintendent of the Southwest Vermont Supervisory Union, died Tuesday, February 6, 2001, at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center following a brief illness.
Born in North Bennington August 5, 1910, she was the daughter of the late William and Bridget (Welch) Corcoran. She received her early education in North Bennington and was a 1927 graduate of the former North Bennington High School. She received a bachelor's degree in 1931, a master's degree in 1943 and an honorary Doctor of Laws degree in 1978, all from the University of Vermont.
Early in her career Miss Corcoran taught fifth grade in North Bennington and also later taught at both the North Bennington and Bennington high schools. In 1944 she became principal of North Bennington High School, a position she held until the high school closed in 1966. She then became vice principal of Mt. Anthony Union High School for two years before being appointed as superintendent of the Southwest Vermont Supervisory Union where she served until her retirement in 1974.
Her professional accomplishments include a fellowship to the Leadership School at American University, a Fellowship in Chemistry at Union College, a John Hay Fellowship in Humanities at Bennington College and as a representative on the White House Commission on Children and Youth.
Her professional memberships were numerous and included past president of the Vermont Chapter of the National Education Association and life member of the National Education Association where she also served on the National Resolutions Committee of NEA. She was a member and past chair of the New England Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools and had been an active member of Delta Kappa Gamma for many years.
Miss Corcoran served as Superintendents Liaison to the Vermont Department of Education, a member of the McCullough Library Board in North Bennington, director of Bennington Tutorial Center, advisory committee of the Putnam School of Nursing, member of the Putnam Health Care Auxiliary, member and past president of the Bennington County Retired Teachers Association, director of Paren Recreations in North Bennington and a member of the town of Bennington Planning Committee.
Among the many honors and awards she had received during her lifetime was the Moment of Recognition Award from the New England Association of School Superintendents, Woman of the Year from the Bennington Business and Professional Women, a Paul Harris Fellow from the Bennington Rotary Club and the Ethan Allen Pomona Grange Award. The Alumni Association of North Bennington High School founded the Catherine Corcoran Scholarship in her honor.
Miss Corcoran was a life long communicant of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in North Bennington.
Survivors include a sister and brother-in-law, Frances and John Canfield of Rutland Town; a sister-in-law, Doris Corcoran of St. Augustine, Fla.; nieces and nephews, Mary Ellen Ray of Pepperell, Mass., William Canfield, Carolyn Godbout and Joan Canfield, all of Rutland Town, Andrew Corcoran of Oahu, Hawaii, Kate Ramsey of Valrico, Fla., Mary Corcoran of St. Augustine, Fla., and Col. Edward J. Corcoran, U.S. Army Retired of St. Augustine, Fla., and Thailand; great-nieces, great-nephews, a great-great-niece and a great-great-nephew.
Miss Corcoran was predeceased by a brother and sister, Edward W. Corcoran and Ellen Corcoran.
The funeral will be held from the Mahar and Son Funeral Home Tuesday, February 13, at 10:15 a.m. with a prayer and from St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in North Bennington at 11 a.m. where the Liturgy of Christian Death and Burial will be offered.
Friends may call at the Mahar and Son Funeral Home Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. when the family will be in attendance. The vigil service will be offered Monday evening.
Burial will take place in the family lot in St. John's Cemetery, North Bennington.

Robert E. Hurd Jr.
BELLOWS FALLS - Robert E. Hurd Jr., 70, died Feb. 6, 2001, at Grace Cottage Hospital in Townshend after a long illness.
He was born March 23, 1930, in Langdon, N.H., son of Robert E. and Ruth (Reed) Hurd Sr.
He attended schools in Langdon and Walpole, N.H.
Mr. Hurd married Marjorie Folsom on Feb. 14, 1958, in Bellows Falls.
He worked at Winslow Brothers Smith, Simonds Precision and Jones and Lamson in Springfield for 17 years. He retired from the Walpole Elementary School in 1992.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was stationed in Germany.
Mr. Hurd enjoyed spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Robert E. Hurd, Gary E. Hurd and Paul C. Hurd, all of Bellows Falls; two brothers, William Hurd and John Hurd, both of Chiply, Fla.; and two sisters, Elizabeth Pelham of Sunny Hills, Fla., and Ethel Moulton of Alstead, N.H.
He was predeceased by a sister, Ruth LeLand; and a son, Robert C. Hurd.
The memorial service will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Fenton and Hennessey Funeral Home in Bellows Falls with the Rev. Harold Noyes officiating. Burial will follow in Lower Langdon Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to Grace Cottage Hospital, in care of Dr. Robert Backus, Townshend.

William Tatem
WALPOLE, N.H. - The memorial service for Dr. William Tatem, who died Jan. 25, 2001, will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Walpole Congregational Church with the Rev. Larry Seabrand officiating.

Henry C. Young rites
ARLINGTON - The service to remember the life of Henry C. Young Jr., 73, who died Feb. 3, 2001, was held Wednesday afternoon at the Arlington Chapel of the Hansen-Walbridge Funeral Home with the Rev. Joan N. O'Gorman, pastor of the Federated Church in East Arlington, officiating. Burial followed in Evergreen Cemetery.
Special musical selections included "The Old Rugged Cross" and "Amazing Grace." The Rev. Joan N. O'Gorman gave the eulogy and read a poem.
The Arlington American Legion Post 69 provided military honors, and service officer Paul Woodard presented the flag to Mr. Young's wife, Alice.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Hanson-Walbridge Funeral Home in Bennington.
Raymond G. Gallant rites
BENNINGTON - The funeral for Raymond G. Gallant, 58, of Keene, N.H., who died Feb. 4, 2001, was held at Sacred Heart St. Francis de Sales Church Wednesday, where the Liturgy of Christian Death and Burial was celebrated by the Rev. Laurence M. Olszewski, pastor. Burial was held in St. John's Cemetery in North Bennington.
Organist was Donald McMahon and soloist was Monica A. Murray. Scriptural readings were offered by Marilyn Field, a sister. Eulogy was given by Melissa Scheffler, a daughter.
Bearers were Kevin Harrington, Richard Scheffler, James Carlson, Douglas Field and Wayne Greenslet. Honorary bearers were Gary Bessette Jr. and Robert Bessette.
A prayer service was held at the Mahar and Son Funeral Home prior to the funeral Mass.
The vigil service was offered Tuesday evening at the funeral home by the Rev. William H. Kelley, CSC, associate pastor of Sacred Heart St. Francis de Sales Church.
A remembrance gathering for family and friends was held at the home of Richard and Betty Gallant in Shaftsbury following the committal service.

Anna M. Jasinski rites
SPRINGFIELD - The funeral Mass for Anna M. Jasinski, 84, who died Feb. 3, 2001, was celebrated Wednesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church with the Rev. Gerald Flater, officiating. Burial will take place at a later date in St. Mary's Cemetery.
Organist was Yvonne Brassington, who accompanied the Rejoice Choir. Cantor was Harry Smith. Personal remarks were given by Charles Puksta of Claremont, N.H.
Bearers were Michael Jasinski Jr., John Jasinski, Brian Jasinski, James Jasinski, Brian Martin and Thomas Green, all of Springfield.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Davis Memorial Chapel.
