WENDELL E. MORSE
ESSEX JUNCTION/MILTON-Wendell E. Morse, 88, of Willey's Court, formerly of Sheldon Road in Milton, died Sunday morning Sept. 2, 2001, in the Vermont Respite House in Williston following a short illness.
Mr. Morse was born May 12, 1913 in Greensboro, the son of Thomas P. and Abbie Salls Morse. On July 14, 1939, Wendell married Frances Bernaby. For many years Wendell and his wife owned and operated a farm in North Farrisburg. A charter Member of LaPlatt Grange in Shelburne, Wendell also belonged to the Friendship Lodge # 24 F&AM in Charlotte. He and his wife enjoyed being involved with 4-H and serving as Project Leader for many events.
While living in North Farrisburg, Wendell served as both selectman and school director. He was extrememly proud of the fact that he was instrumental in having an elementary school built in the Town of Farrisburg.
Mr. Morse was employed by the Vermont Heating and Ventilating Co. until his retirement in 1982.
Wendell is survived by his wife, Frances, to whom he had been married to for over 62 years, of Essex Junction and their three children, Thomas P. Morse and his wife Sue of New Mexico, Wendell E. Morse Jr. of Florida, Margaret L. Canfield and her husband Fred of Essex Jct., and 13 grandchildren and nine greatgrandchildren. His brother, James Morse and his wife Marge of Florida and Vernon, Vt., and Don Morse of Whitefield, Maine. His sister Phyllis Stromberg of Putney and several neices and nephews.
He was predeceased by a daughter Carol Frances Morse on Nov. 18, 1987. Two brothers Reginald in 1969, Robert in 1995, and a sister Margaret Blenderman also in 1995
A funeral service will be held in Friday Sept. 7, 2001 at 2 p.m. in the Minor Funeral Home with Reverend Kim Ransom officiating.

WILLIAM BRADLEY EVANS
MONTREAL -- Born Sept. 13, 1917, died Aug. 29, 2001 peaceably at the Lake Shore Hospital, Point Claire, Montreal, Que.
A Montreal area resident, he and his family vacationed on Butler Island in North Hero, Vt; where he made many local friends.
His four children survive him: Robert of Toronto; Susan and her husband, James Seebeck of Montreal; Melanie and her husband, Richard Underwood, of St. Albans; Leigh-Ann and her husband, Kevin Elliott, of Toronto; and five grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at St. Paul Anglican Church, Lachine, Que. Sept. 8, 2001.
BEVERLY FLORENCE MOORE
SWANTON -- Beverly Florence Moore, 69, a resident of 25 Greenwich Str. in Swanton Village, died early Sunday morning, Sept. 2, 2001 in Redstone Villa in St. Albans.
She was born in St. Albans, Jan. 19, 1932, the daughter of the late Clifford and Florence (LaFountaine) Beals. She graduated from Burlington High School with the Class of 1950, and on July 3, 1971 married Thomas Moore who survives her.
For 25 years, Beverly was associated as a site manager with the Champlain Valley Agency on Aging, retiring in 1997. She was also an active member of the Hi-Swans Senior Citizens.
In addition to her husband of 30 years, Thomas Moore of Swanton, Beverly is survived by eight sons: Allen Moore and his wife, Carol, of Colchester, David Moore and his wife, Pauline, of Allenstown, N.H., Donald Moore of Manchester, N.H., Steve Moore of Vermont, Jay Moore of Washington State, Robert Moore of Winooski, Kevin Moore and his wife, Tammy, of Barre and Clifford Moore of West Swanton; two daughters, Debbie Jablonski and her husband, Ray, of West Swanzey, N.H. and April Moore of St. Albans. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren, Steve Moore, Israel Moore and his wife, Petra, Bobby Bailey, Bobby Moore, Kirsten and Elizabeth Moore, Kevin Jr. and Jacob Moore, Kim and Chris Jablonski, and Allen and Mary Moore, and a great granddaughter that was born June 21, 2001, Hailey Catherine Moore; and a great grandson, Andrew Moore. She also leaves her mother-in-law, Kay Moore of Charlestown, N.H., and a brother-in-law, Alex Moore of South Carolina, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Beverly's family would like to give special thanks to daughter-in-law, Catherine Moore for all the love, care, concern and support that she gave to Beverly during her illness.
Beverly was predeceased by an infant daughter, Monica on July 13, 1956 and a daughter, Nancy Bailey Nov. 7, 1999.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, Sept. 7, 2001, at 11 a.m. from The Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, 65 Canada St., Swanton Village. Father Paul C. Houde, temporary parish administrator, will be the celebrant and homilist. Interment will follow in the Moore family lot in St. Mary's Cemetery. Friends may call at the Kidder Memorial Home, 89 Grand Ave., Swanton on Thursday, Sept. 6, 2001, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Gifts in Beverly's memory may be made to Redstone Village, 7 Forest Hill Drive, St. Albans, Vt. 05478.
GEORGE W. SKELTON
McMinnville, Oregon -- George W. Skelton, age 73, died Aug. 28, 2001, at his residence. He was born in Halfway, Ore., Sept. 7, 1927, son of Isaac Glenn and Dorothy Beach Skelton.
He resided in Halfway until he was five years old and then moved, with his family, to Baker City. As a teenager, he lived in Sheridan for a short time before moving to Tillamook. In 1944 he served in the Merchant Marine Corps. for a year and then returned to Tillamook to complete High School, graduating from Sacred heart Academy.
He attended Portland State University for a year and then joined the U. S. Air Force. He served for 26 years in the Air Force and in 1980 joined the Coast Guard Auxiliary. He was employed by the Oregon Military State Department for 12 years.
George married Lois Landauer Kyler, Jan. 16, 1981, in Tigard. They lived in Beaverton until 1995, then moved to McMinnville. His church affiliations were with St. Cecelia Catholic Church in Beverton, St. Paul Catholic Church in St. Paul, and St. James Catholic Church in McMinnviclle.
He was a former member of the Elks Clubs of Sherwood, Hillsboro, and McMinnville. His hobbies were in woodworking, fishing, boating, and hunting.
He is survived by: his wife, Lois; two sons, Michael Skelton of Tillamook and Paul Skelton of Beaverton; daughter, Linda DeConcini of Salem; two brothers Calvin "Bud" Butts of Baker City, Charles Skelton of Troutdale, a sister, Wilma Olivera of Baker City; a stepson, Kevin Kyler of Beaverton; a stepdaughter, Kimberly Canida of Mesa, Ariz.; a half-brother, Garrie and his wife, Laurice Skelton of Pittsburgh, Pa., (formerly of St. Albans, Vt.); four grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Friday at 10:30 a.m. in St. James Catholic Church, McMinnville. The celebrant was Father Charles Borno. Internment was in the Williamette National Cemetery in Portland. Memorials may be made in his name to any branch of the Bank of America, or masses. Arrangements were entrusted to the Macy & Sons Funeral Directors of McMinnville.
LINDA LEE TEAGUE
SHELDON SPRINGS - Linda Lee Teague, 35, a resident of Boarding House Street in Sheldon Springs was taken home to the Lord on Friday morning, Oct. 26, 2001, the result of an automobile accident in Fairfield.
Linda was born in St. Albans, Sept. 8, 1966, the daughter of Albert and Denise (Lauzon) Brooks. She attended Missisquoi Valley Union High School and on Oct. 16, 1982 married Randy Teague who survives her.
At the time of her death, she was employed as a Kiln Operator with the Vermont Brick Company in the Town of Highgate. Previously she had been associated with V.A. America in Swanton, North Country Linen, and Fonda Container in St. Albans.
Linda will be remembered for her love of arts and crafts and music.
In addition to her husband, Randy, of Sheldon Springs, she leaves her mother, Denise Jarvis Brooks of Swanton and two children, Anthony Michael Teague, age 11 and Alexander Graham Teague, age 6, both of Sheldon Springs.
Also surviving are four sisters, Terry Reynolds and her husband Richard of West Swanton, Diane Benoit and her husband Gary of Gloucester, Va., Renee Jarvis of East Fairfield, and Laurie Holbrook and her husband Peter of Alburg; two brothers, Thomas and David Jarvis both of South Burlington. Other survivors include her mother-in-law, Marion Teague of Sheldon, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Nancy Morris, Louis and Debbie Roberge and Leo and Carol Teague all of Sheldon; a favorite uncle and aunt, Hank and Georgette Lauzon of Swanton; as well as several additional aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was predeceased by a daughter, Karrilee Lynn Teague on Nov., 5, 1983, her father, Albert "Mike" Brooks in January of 1992 and her father-in-law, Donald Teague, Feb. 28, 1977.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Nov. 2, 2001, at 11:30 a.m. from the Kidder Memorial Home, 89 Grand Ave., Swanton. Father Maurice U. Boucher, SSE, director of St. Anne's Shrine in Isle La Motte, will officiate. Interment will follow in the family lot in St. Anthony Cemetery in Sheldon Springs. Friends may call at the Kidder Memorial Home on Friday morning from 10 until the hour of the funeral. DIANE L. LUNDERVILLE
ST. ALBANS - Diane L. Lunderville, 57, of St. Albans died Monday, Oct. 29, 2001, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was born on March 18, 1944, in Newport, Vt., the daughter of Richard and Pauline (Blay) Chaffee, Sr. She was a graduate of Newport High School, Class of 1962.
She was married to Richard J. Lunderville on Aug. 27, 1966, at St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Newport, Vt.
For several years, she worked as a secretary at Ethan Allen Furniture in Orleans, Vt. In 1968, Richard and Diane made their home in St. Albans, where she began her career at St. Albans City Elementary School as the middle school secretary. Diane served the school district for 16 enjoyable years where she formed many lasting friendships with both staff and students.
Diane enjoyed crafts, reading, and was an avid BFA hockey fan. Above all she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandson, Logan, who was the light of her life.
She will be remembered for her love of animals, her generous caring manner, as well as her positive outlook and determination to live each and every day to its fullest. She touched the lives of many and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Richard J. Lunderville of St. Albans; her daughter and son-in-law, Dori Lynn and Jeffrey C. Chalmers of Williston; her grandson, Logan R. Chalmers of Williston; a very special friend "daughter, " Theresa Johnson of Sheldon; her father, Richard Chaffee, Sr. and his wife Carol of Newport.; two brothers and their wives, Richard and Shirley Chaffee, Jr. of Newport, and Ronald and Gail Chaffee of Newport; her father-in-law, Norval Lowell of Newport; her brother-in-law, David Lunderville and his wife Janis of Tolland, Conn. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and nephews. Her mother, Pauline Blay and her mother-in-law, Ruth Lowell, predeceased her.
The family would like to thank Dr. Dennis Sanders and the staff at Vermont Center for Cancer Medicine, Dr. Neil Hyman, Dr. & Mrs. Frank Zsoldos and the Franklin County Home Health Agency for their compassionate care.
We would also like to express our gratitude to the Reverend Dennis Hayward; a special nurse and friend, Shelly Bonnette; Julia Ticehurst; Gyna Poulin-Doran; our neighbors and to the staff and students at St. Albans City Elementary for their kindness during Diane's illness.
A funeral service and Holy Communion will be celebrated at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, St. Albans, on Thursday, Nov. 1 at 11 a.m. Interment will take place at the convenience of the family. Friends may call on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 at the Heald Funeral Home, 87 South Main St. St. Albans. HELEN R. (LONG) BARNES
NORTHBRIDGE, Mass./ST. ALBANS - Helen R. (Long) Barnes, 88, of 79 Linwood Ave., Whitinsville, died Sunday, Oct. 28, in the St. Camillus Health Center, 447 Hill St.
Her husband, Herbert A. Barnes, died in 1974. She is survived by a son, Robert E. Barnes of Whitinsville and several cousins, including Oliver and Helene Maxwell, of Randolph, Vt..
Mrs. Barnes was born Dec. 11, 1912 in St. Albans, daughter of the late Harold and Angie (Smith) Long. She had lived in Whitinsville since 1930. She graduated from St. Albans High School in 1930, and from the New England Deaconess Hospital School of Nursing, Boston, in 1934.
A registered nurse, she retired from the former Whitinsville Hospital as nursing supervisor in 1977. She previously worked at Boston Children's Hospital, Boston Lying In Hospital, and the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, Boston.
Mrs. Barnes was a member of the Village Congregational Church, Whitinsville, and St. Paul's Methodist Church, St. Albans. She belonged to the Whitinsville Woman's Club, and the Order of the Eastern Star in St. Albans. She summered in St. Albans for many years.
Funeral services, in the Carr Funeral Home, 24 Hill St., Whitinsville, will be private. Burial will be in Riverbank Cemetery, Stowe, Vt. There are no calling hours.

KELLY A. (O'CONNOR) KREPS
PINE PLAINS, N.Y. - Kelly A. (O'Connor) Kreps, 41, of Pine Plains died Oct. 18, 2001.
She is survived by her husband Marvin L. Kreps; two daughters, Molly Ellen Kreps and Nancy Wells of Tivoli, N.Y.; her parents, Robert and Barbara Flick O'Connor of Walpole, N.H.; a sister, Kathleen Franklin of Queensbury, N.Y.; two brothers, Matthew O'Connor of Atlanta, Ga., and Michael O'Connor of Bridgewater, Mass.; four grandchildren, two nieces, and several cousins.
Funeral services were held Monday, Oct. 22, at 11 a.m. in Clinton Alliance Church in Clinton, N.Y., with the Rev. Thomas L. Hartley officiating. The christian service was a true celebration of Kelly's life, her faith in God, and her great compassion for others in need. Along with her family, many relatives, friends, and members of her church were in attendance.
Kelly's true passion was BUYAMBA, a not-for-profit charity she helped found to aid orphaned children in East Africa whose parents had died of AIDS. Contributions in Kelly's memory may be made to BUYAMBA, c/o Marvin L. Kreps II, 640 Hicks Hill Road, Standfordville, N.Y. 12581.
