KEVIN MICHAEL JERRY
ST. ALBANS - Kevin Michael Jerry, age 35, born July 9, 1970, beloved son of Sheila Taylor Snaith and step-father Lawrence A. Snaith Sr., died unexpectedly June 12, 2006. He worked as a carpenter and painter.
Kevin is survived by his two special daughters, Katherine Taylor and Meaghan Alyssa; his brothers, John Jerry and his wife Theresa, Raymond Rogers III and his special friend, Angel White, Timothy Jerry and his special friend, Elaine Jones; his sister, Crystal Rogers and friend, Paul Greenwood. Kevin also leaves behind a special love of his life, Rhonda Farraro; his grandmother, Margaret Bero; step-brothers, Larry Snaith Jr. and William Snaith; step-sisters, Pearl Heltsey, Tina Morgan, and Jean Henry; half sister and brother, Debbie Taylor and Albert Jerry Jr.; several aunts and uncles, Stephen (Mike) Taylor, Priscilla Putnam and her husband, Stanley, Marie Putnam and her husband, Francis, Cynthia Ranks and her husband, Dan, Rosemary Barrow and her husband, Stewart, Jo Ann Gordon and her husband, Bill, Eddie LeClaire and her husband, Joe, Bernice Campbell, and Amos Jerry Jr.; several cousins; and very special friends, Mike Lussier, Tim Vachon, Matt Austin, Arnold Tatro, David Bushey, Kevin Helms, Darren Totten, Tom Tatro, Clark Clapper, Steve Hilliker and Jody Tatro. Kevin was predeceased by his grandfather, Edward L. Taylor; aunt, Barbara Coon; and cousins, Christopher Coon and James Nutting.
Kevin will be greatly missed. His biggest enjoyment was being able to spend time with his girls, deep sea fishing, hunting, making people laugh, and spending time with his friends.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, June 17, 2006, at 10 a.m. in the Church of the Rock, with Pastor Roland Ludlam officiating. Interment will follow in the family lot in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
Urn Carriage bearers will be David Bushey, Charlie Taylor Darren Totten and Mike Lussier. Honorary bearers will be Timothy Jerry, John Jerry, Raymond Rogers III, Rick Richards, and Paul Greenwood. There will be no visiting hours.

WALTER ALLEN GARROW
WINDSOR, Vt. - Walter Allen Garrow, 56, passed away Tuesday, June 13, 2006, at his home in Windsor.
He was born July 5, 1949, in Richford, Vt., son of Gordon Howard Garrow and Lula Irene (Wright) Simonds, the third of 12 children and the first boy.
Walter lived his early years with his family on West Hill Road in Montgomery. After finishing school, Walter traveled around the east coast of the states, settling down in Florida when drafted to serve in the Army in late 1968. Walter completed Basic Training at Ft. Dix, N.J. and was sent to Vietnam to serve in the field artillery with the 1st Calvary Division. He served 10 months of combat duty, receiving one purple heart, and a bronze star, Army Accommodation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal and National Defense Medal. He left for good on Nov. 11, 1970, with the rank of sergeant.
He returned to live in Florida for the next five years to work on farms in the Tallahassee area. After a brief try at marriage, Walter divorced and returned to Vermont in 1975 to his roots. He lived and worked various farms in the Franklin area for the next three years, moving to the Hartland, Vt. area in 1978. He worked on dairy farms in the Bethel and Windsor area and for two lumber companies in the Harland area. He served as Boy Scout Master for Hartland Troop 235, and worked as a tree farmer in Sunapee, N.H. He met his true love of his life, Cindy Brigham in Fairlee, Vt. in 1979, and they were married the following year. Walter was always the trailblazer for his family to follow. A wonderful brother, a loving husband and super father and without a doubt, the proudest grandfather ever. Walter will be missed but never forgotten.
Survivors include his wife of Windsor; three daughters, Natasha, Katrina and Moreen; one son, Gary; and eight sisters, Laura Briton, Ila Wilson, Lila Elkins, Donna Armstrong, Pauline Domina, Betty Kidder, Ann Roy and Brenda Seymour; and three brothers, Ralph Garrow, Dale Garrow and Scott Garrow; and 11 grandchildren that he loved dearly.
Friends may call at the Knight Funeral Home in Windsor on Friday afternoon from 2 to 4 p.m. Funeral services with Military Honors will be held Saturday at 4 p.m. in the Ascutney Cemetery in Windsor.

DONALD R. MORGAN, JR.
SWANTON - Funeral Services were held Tuesday, June 13, 2006, at 2 p.m. from the Kidder Memorial Home. Father Maurice U. Boucher, SSE pastor of St. Amadeus Roman Catholic Church, Alburgh and St. Joseph’s Mission, Isle La Motte officiated.
Readings from both the Old and New Testament were proclaimed by Leonard D. James and family friend, Michelle LeClair shared Special Words of Remembrance. Members of Missisquoi Valley Rescue formed a guard of honor.
Among the other delegations in attendance were representatives from Swanton Village and Town Offices, Swanton Village Fire Department and Auxiliary, Andy Leduc Construction, Swanton Lumber Company, Abenaki Nation of Vermont led by Chief April St. Francis-Merrill, Champlain Farms, Roy’s’ Insurance Agency, Mary S. Babcock and Swanton Central Schools, Franklin County Home Health Agency, Danielle’s Shear Sophistication, Carroll Concrete, Don G. Bell, Inc., O.C. McCuin and Hannaford’s.
Interment followed in the Morgan family lot in Riverside Cemetery with Father Boucher reading the committal prayers. The bearers were grandson, Adam Santor; son-in-law, Jason Marchand; nephews, Eric Leduc, Randy Livingston, and Michael Martin; and family friend, Shawn Fiske.
The American flag, which draped the Vermont Army National Guardsman and Vietnam veteran’s casket, was folded by SFC Christina Churchill and SGT Jeffrey Wells of the Vermont Army National Guard 172nd Armor Division and presented to Mrs. Donna Morgan.
Following The Prayers of Committal and Military Services a Bereavement Luncheon was served in the Swanton Village Complex hosted by family and friends.
JOSEPH L. BULGER
ESSEX JUNCTION - A Graveside Committal Service was held for Mr. Joseph L. Bulger, Tuesday, June 13, 2006, in the Bulger family lot in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Prayers of Committal were offered by Father Maurice Roy.
Casket bearers were his son David Bulger, and members of the Vermont Air National Guard. Following the committal prayers by Father Roy, the Vermont Air National guard paid tribute to Joe’s service for his country. The Officer in Charge was Maj. Dennis Robertson, Firing Party was Maj. Buck Terry, Msgt. Karen Fredenberg, Ssgt. Eric Evans, Ssgt. Brad Whelen, and Ssgt Adrianne Masterson. The flag was folded by Maj. Robertson and Ssgt Adrianne Masterson. The flag was presented to Mrs. Bulger by Maj. Robertson.

BEVERLY (TRACY) WARREN
HARBOR SPRINGS, Mich. / FAIRFAX, Vt. - Beverly (Tracy) Warren, age 65, passed away Jan. 28, 2006, in Michigan. Beverly was born on Aug. 19, 1940, in St. Albans, Vt. The daughter of the late Harland Edwin and Ola (Ellsworth) Tracy.
Beverly grew up in Fairfax, Vt. graduating from Bellows Free Academy. On Sept. 2, 1960, Beverly married Martin Warren in Fairfax. Beverly Worked at Howard National Bank in Burlington, Vt. and continued to work at banks in California, Connecticut and Illinois. She later worked for and retired from Hudson's Department Store.
Beverly's most important and most memorable years were devoted to her husband of 45 years, Marty, and their three children. She was a member of the Petoskey United Methodist Church, Little Traverse Bay Quilters, and the Coalition for Pulmonary Fibrosis and enjoyed home decorating, sewing, quilting, knitting, gardening and sailing.
She is survived by her husband, Martin Warren; three children, Leslie May and her husband, Dave of Kalamazoo, Mich., Stephanie McGreevy and her husband, Andrew of Petoskey, Mich., Martin J. Warren and his wife, Tracy of Milton, Mass.; two grandchildren, David May and Anna McGreevy; three sisters, Shirley Geno of Fletcher, Phyllis Fletcher of Cambridge and Barbara O'Toole of Johnson; and many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded by her brother, Ralph Tracy.
A public memorial grave side service will be held at 2 p.m. on June 19, 2006, in the Binghamville Cemetery, Fletcher, Vt.

ABRAHAM C. TATRO, JR.
BERKSHIRE - Mr. Abraham C. Tatro Jr., age 58, died peacefully with his family, at his home, of lung cancer, Sunday morning, June 11, 2006. He was born Feb. 1, 1948, in Swanton, son of the late Abraham C. and Dorcas (Phillips) Tatro.
Abe married Elmena Rose "Chickie" Radzyninski, Dec. 31, 1980. Chickie predeceased him Sept. 2, 2002. Abe was a custodian for H.P. Hood, St. Albans City Elementary School, Vermont Whey Company, Guay’s Market, and Fonda Container, retiring in 1994. He enjoyed woodworking, and spending time with his family.
Abe is survived by his children, Ernie Tatro of Berkshire, Jeffrey Tatro of Johnson, and Bonnie Tatro and her companion, Crystal of Berkshire; a grandson, Anthony Ploof, his companion Jim Shirlock of Berkshire; two sisters, Susan Hakey and her husband, Allard "Butch" of St. Albans, Peggy Wimble and her husband, Richard of Fairfax; a brother, Richard Phillps and his wife, Shellie of St. Albans; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents; his wife, Chickie; a sister, Bonnie Tatro; and a brother, Alan Phillips.
Abe’s family would like to thank the volunteers and nurses at the Franklin County Home Health Agency, and Northwestern Medical Center for their care and support that they unselfishly gave to Abe and his family.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, June 15, 2006, at 10 a.m. in Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Swanton with Father Reid Farrell celebrating. Interment will follow in the Tatro family lot in Riverside Cemetery. Friends may call at the Brady & Levesque Funeral Home, 86 South Main St., St. Albans, from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday.

RICHARD ‘DICKIE’ WILFRID RAINVILLE
FRANKLIN - Richard “Dickie” Wilfrid Rainville, age 67, passed away Sunday evening, June 11, 2006, at his home with his loving wife at his side following a long and courageous battle with ALS.
Dickie was born Oct. 9, 1938, in St. Albans, the fifth child of the late Wilfrid and Alsyma (Tarte) Rainville.
Dickie was a life long resident of Franklin where he was a long time farmer. He also worked for many years at I.B.M. Following his retirement from he I.B.M. he was employed for several years at the Franklin Telephone Company where he enjoyed working with his best buddies, Burt Maynard and Gregg Gates.
Dickie was gifted mechanically and could adapt or fix anything. He loved and took great pride in caring for his property.
He was a kind and caring companion and husband to Lucille (Allen) Rainville, whom survives him. He is also survived by his siblings and their spouses, Rita & George Parent of West Enosburg, Andrew & Imogene Rainville of Franklin, Aline & Claude Magnant of St. Albans, Roger & Denise Rainville of Swanton, and J.Clement & Elizabeth Rainville of Franklin. He also had a large family of nieces and nephews that he had special relationships with.
In keeping with Dickie’s wishes he will be cremated and a memorial Mass will be held Friday, June 16, 2006, at 11 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Enosburg Falls with Reverend Benedict Kiely celebrating the Mass of Christian Burial. Immediately following the Mass a gathering will be held at St. John the Baptist Church Parish hall.
Committal services will be held Friday, June 16, at 2 p.m. at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Franklin
A gathering for family and close friends will be held Friday, June 16, from 9 to 10:45 a.m. at the Spears Funeral Home, 96 Dickinson Ave., Enosburg Falls.

THOMAS HENRY SHEPPARD
GEORGIA - Thomas Henry Sheppard, 77 years of age of Georgia, Vt., died peacefully on Monday, June 12, 2006, at his home in the presence of his wife and family following a battle with cancer.
Tom was born Aug. 17, 1928, in Patchogue, N.Y. He was the son of the late Thomas Augustine and Dorothy Hall Sheppard.
He served his country during World War II with the United States Naval Air Corp serving in Guam and Saipan, and was a life member of the American Legion Post 1 in St. Albans.
He was married in 1951 for 25 years to Clare Bigelow. They had six children together.
Tom moved with his young family from Long Island, N.Y. to St. Albans, Vt. in 1965 upon taking a job with the Union Carbide. Summers were enjoyed on the water as he loved to sail and go boating. He proudly won several sunfish races on Lake Champlain. He had a particular love for the Adirondack Lake region and the Lake George area. A camp on Butler’s Island on Lake Champlain encouraged family fun and fond memories.
During the winter months Tom enjoyed skiing. He served with the National Ski Patrol at Jay Peak for many years. He was also involved in the small recreation hill Hard’ack in St. Albans in the 1960s and ‘70s.
In the mid 1970s Tom was the proprietor of Green Mountain Frames in St. Albans, a custom frame shop that showcased his love of the art.
1979 began 27 years of marriage to his loving wife Alice Towne. Together they traveled and enjoyed life.
Upon moving to Florida in 1983 he owned and operated Thomas Frames in Jensen Beach for many years. After retiring in 1999 he and his wife Alice returned to Vermont regaining closer family ties. Tom was a true craftsman and mastered all he set his mind to - it all seemed natural to him. His finer talents were carving and woodworking. He restored boats, created fine pieces of furniture and leaves us with many handcrafted heirlooms.
He was a wonderful man, a great husband, loving father and a caring and compassionate friend. He will be greatly missed.
Those surviving him are his wife, Alice of Georgia; his children, Matthew Sheppard of Tampa, Fla., Paul Sheppard and his wife, Mary of Swanton, Vt., Cynthia Leadbeater and her husband, Michael of St. Albans, Vt., Andrew Sheppard and his wife, Vickie of Springhill, Fla., Chris Sheppard and his wife, Barbara of Oceanport, N.J., Florence Hawkins and her husband, John of Springfield, Vt.; grandchildren, Daniel, Angela and Jesse, Louise and Richard, Kim, Perry Anne and Caroline, and Rachel and their spouses/partners. He also leaves five great-grandchildren, and two step-grandchildren. His stepchildren, Tobey Brehm and her partner, Bill Gentel of Ijamsville, Md. and Shayne Portuondo and her husband, Gustavo (Sandy) of Phoenix, Ariz.; a brother, Robert Sheppard and his wife, Carole and their daughter Jennifer of Bayport, N.Y.; his cousin, Grace Wolfart; and brothers and sisters-in-law, Laura Stanley, Paul Towne, Dorothy Mayo, Pearl Welch, Gene Towne, Donovan and Audrey Towne, Carroll and Nina Towne, and Neil and Barbara Towne; as well as several nieces and nephews.
His family wishes to thank Tom’s care providers and good neighbors for all they did to assist in this difficult time.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 15, 2005, at 11 a.m. in the United Church of Milton with the Reverend Jeffery Cornwell officiating. Burial will follow in the Georgia Plains Cemetery.
The family will receive friends in the United Church parlor from 10 a.m. until the hour of the service on Thursday.
In lieu of flowers Tom requested that donations be made to the Franklin County Home Health Agency, Inc. and Hospice at 3 Home Health Circle in St. Albans, Vt. 05478.

SWANTON - A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Friday, June 9, 2006, at 10 a.m. in Holy Angels Church with Father Maurice Roy celebrating. Assisting Father Roy at the altar were Maynard Gosselin and Richard Brandt. Readings from Scripture were read by Sister Cecile Lebeau. Interment followed in the Yandow family lot in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Casket bearers were grandchildren, Morgan and Nathan Yandow; and nephews, Theodore, Raymond, David and Marcel Yandow.
Delegations in attendance were from the offices of Tim McCarron, CCV of Newport, Fellow CAP, Franklin County Superior Court and Northwestern Medical Center.

MARY JEANNETTE DIXON
FORT MYERS, Fla. / ST. ALBANS, Vt. - Mrs. Mary Jeannette Dixon, 81, a former longtime St. Albans resident, passed away on Saturday, May 6, 2006, at the Hospice at Shell Point Pavilion in Fort Myers, following a brief illness. She was born in St. Albans on Jan. 28, 1925, the daughter of the late Dr. Byron and Gladys (LaRock) Hermann. On Nov. 26, 1948, in St. Albans, she married Gerald F. Dixon, who survives her.
Jeannette was a 1943 graduate of Bellows Free Academy in St. Albans, attended Walnut Hill Prep School in Natick, Mass., and graduated from Northeastern University with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. Following this, she practiced at the Massachusetts General Hospital for four years. She was also the secretary of the Melrose Women’s Club.
Besides her husband of 57 years, Gerald of Fort Myers, she is survived by two daughters, Jennifer Dixon of Restin, Va. and Suanne Beyda and her husband Richard of Washington, DC; three granddaughters, Danielle, Alexandra, and Samantha; a brother-in-law, John J. Liptak of St. Albans; and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Susan Liptak in 1979.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 16, 2006, at 11 a.m. in the Heald Funeral Chapel, 87 South Main St., St. Albans with the Reverend Dennis E. Hayward, Rector of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church officiating. Jeanette’s family will receive friends at the Owl Club on Congress Street following the service. Interment will be in the Dixon family lot at St. Albans Bay Cemetery.
DONALD R. MORGAN, JR.
LAKE ROAD, SWANTON - Mr. Donald R. Morgan Jr., age 64, a lifelong resident of the Swanton and Highgate areas, died Friday morning, June 9, 2006, at the Fletcher Allen Health Care Facility in Burlington.
Born in Highgate on Aug. 4, 1941, he was the son of the late Donald Sr. and Barbara Mae (Minckler) Morgan. He attended Highgate schools and on Feb. 16, 1963, was married to the former Donna Root, who survives him.
Donald was associated with the former A.G. Anderson Concrete Company for several years and also worked some time for Don G. Bell, Inc., Andy Leduc Construction and Swanton Packing. He faithfully served his country for nearly 20 years in the Vermont Army National Guard.
He will be especially remembered for his Bloomin’ Onion Concession, which he and his family operated together at many community events throughout the Franklin and Grand Isle County areas.
In addition to his wife Donna of 43 years, Donald leaves three daughters and their husbands, Lorie and Lance Lampman of Swanton, Penny and Larry Santor of Alburgh and Kelly and Jason Marchand of Swanton; eight grandchildren, Michelle, Dawn, Tonya, Angie, Amanda, Adam, Dustin and Justin; six great-grandchildren, Cheyenne, Matthew, Thomas, McKenna, Macayla, and Jaycy; three sisters, Nora Unwin of Swanton, Joyce Durenleau and husband, Robert of Richford, and Ramona Cline and husband, Spencer of Highgate; three brothers and their wives, Bruce and Beth Morgan of Alburgh, Edward and Debra Morgan of Fairfield, and James and Wendy Morgan of Swanton; as well as many nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service will be held Tuesday afternoon, June 13, 2006, at 2 p.m. from the Kidder Memorial Home, 89 Grand Ave., Swanton. Father Maurice U. Boucher, SSE will officiate. Interment will follow in the Morgan family lot in Riverside Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 12 noon until the hour of the funeral.
