Middlefield, CT -- Marion Frances Mason Louiselle of Sutton, N.H. and Middlefield, CT was called home to continue her journey with the Lord. She passed away peacefully on December 24, 2011.
She was born on October 7, 1925 the daughter of William E. Mason, Sr. and Stella Mary Eddy Fowler Mason. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Lloyd F. (Bozie) Louiselle and her precious daughter, Sherry M. Louiselle Crowley of Gordonsville, VA as well as her loving friend and daughter-in-law, Judy Hall Louiselle and also two sisters, Beth M. Borders and Dorothy M. Dumont and two brothers, William E. Mason, Jr. and Richard E. Mason. She is survived by three sons, Lloyd M. (Pete) Louiselle of N. New Portland, ME, David W. Louiselle of Middlefield, CT and James D. Louiselle and his wife, Janet of Middletown, CT. She also leaves two sisters, Kay E. Mailhot of Meriden, CT and Bertha C. Richards of Claremont, N.H. and a younger brother, Mervin D. Mason and his wife, Linda of Punta Gorda, FL. She also leaves four grandchildren, Christopher T. Crowley of Middlefield, CT and Stacy L. Blanton of Gordonsville, VA, Justin Marshall and wife, Christina of Prospect, CT and Jack James Louiselle of WY; six great grandchildren, Brett W., Paul Lloyd, Thomas Aaron, Jason M. and Miss Valerie Marlene Swiatek all of VA as well as Miss Ella Rose Marshall of Prospect, CT. She also leaves numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Marion was a past member of Middlefield Federated Church and for over 50 years was a very active member of her church family at III Congregational Church, Westfield, CT serving for over 40 years in the Ladies Aid and Choir as well as a church Deacon, standing committee, Pastoral Search Committee and was one of the founding members of the Partnership for Sharing Committee as well as the Board of Missions.
Before her retirement she was employed by Pratt and Whitney Aircraft and then worked for over two decades at Fowlers Market and Lyman Orchards in Middlefield. Marion was a beacon of love, integrity and hope to all who knew her. She had a radiant smile, a loving heart and always extended her hand in welcome and friendship. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Born in Sutton Mills, N.H. she attended local schools and graduated from Hopkinton, N.H. High School and was married to the love of her life, Lloyd, in Newport, N.H. in April 1946. She moved to Middlefield, CT in 1947 and resided there for over 60 years and summered at her family home in Sutton Mills and taught her children her love and devotion to the splendor of beautiful Lake Sunapee.
She was an avid reader, an accomplished quilt maker, an excellent chef and baker and the genealogy expert of the family. She loved traveling, golf and bowling as well as bingo, board games and puzzles. At age 65 she climbed Mount Washington and at age 66 she enjoyed white water rafting in PA.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at the III Congregational Church in Westfield, CT. A graveside service will be held in Millwoods Cemetery, South Sutton, N.H. in the spring.
Chadwick Funeral Service of New London, N.H. is assisting the family with arrangements.
