GEORGE L. "PIN" PERRAULT
GEORGIA -- George L. "Pin" Perrault, 70, of Georgia, died unexpectedly Saturday morning, June 9, 2001, at the Northwestern Medical Center in St. Albans.
George was born Feb. 22, 1931 in Irasburg, the son of Doris and Antoinette Brasseur Perrault. He served his county in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict.
On June 9, 1951, he married Teresa Souliere in St. Theresa's Catholic Church in Orleans. Following his discharge from the service he worked for General Electric in Warren, Ohio for 23 years. He and his family moved to Milton in 1974 and opened the Northwest Auto Parts Store on Route 7.
Retiring in 1994, George and Teresa moved to their residence in Georgia where he loved to do his landscaping and woodworking projects around their property. George loved walking and could be seen almost daily on Route 7 enjoying his early morning walk.
Among other interests was flying. George always had the dream of obtaining his pilot's license which he accomplished in 1971.
He was a member of Ascension Parish in Georgia.
George loved life to the fullest, inviting people to join him along the way. Many were touched and inspired by his actions. His life continues in our hearts and memories.
He is survived by his wife Teresa of Georgia with whom he had been married for 50 years and their children, Michele Dana and her husband Andrew of St. Albans, and Jacqueline Deforge and her husband Robin of Fairfax; his grandchildren, Rachel Martell of Essex, Serenity Weatherwax and her husband Joby of Japan, and Jude and Isaiah Martell of Fairfax; his brother Gerard Perrault and his wife Angeline of Irasburg; four sisters, Jeannette Poulin of Newport, Theresa Fortin and Yvette Bruneau of Orleans and Lorraine Baker and her husband Jim of Wilder; a sister-in-law, Marie Paule Perrault of Bellows Falls and several nieces and nephews. He also leaves his pet Ginger.=
He was predeceased by his brother Donat in April of 2000.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 13, 2001, at 11 a.m. in Ascension Church in Georgia with burial following in Milton Village Cemetery in Milton. There will be no visiting hours. RAYMOND J. DANYOW
SHELDON -- Raymond J. Danyow, age 86, died Friday morning June 8, 2001, at the Veterans Hospital in White River Jct.
He was born March 26, 1915 in Sheldon Springs, the son of the late Ernest & Mabel (Derosia) Danyow.
Ray was a life long resident of Sheldon. He worked at the Sheldon Pulp Mill for a few years then owned and operated a garage in Sheldon Springs for 47 years, retiring in 1994. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II serving as a Tech Sergeant in the 3539th Army Air Force Base Unit as an airplane maintenance technician and in the Pacific Theatre in New Guinea as an engineer on a B-24 bomber, and was a member of the American Legion Post #88 of Sheldon. In addition to being a fine mechanic, Ray enjoyed sugaring, skidooing, 4-wheeling, gardening, cutting wood and being outdoors.
He is survived by a daughter, Sandy Banks of Montgomery; two sons and their wives, Robert & Lorraine (Baranik) Danyow, their children, Ellie & Joshua of Sheldon; and Danny & Sally (Nye) Danyow, their children Jeremy & James of Highgate; two sisters, Caroline Stevens of Sheldon, and Ruth Larose and her husband Norbert of Sheldon; one brother, Harold Danyow and his wife, Lucille of St. Albans. He was predeceased by three brothers, Howard, Merriman "Deke" and Vincent Danyow.
Funeral services will be held Monday morning at 11 a.m. at the Spears Funeral Home on 96 Dickinson in Enosburg Falls with Rev. Charles Ranges officiating. Interment will follow in St. Anthony's Cemetery in Sheldon.
Visiting hours will be held Sunday evening from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Spears Funeral Home in Enosburg Falls.

EUGENE PHILIP HOLBROOK
ST. ALBANS -- Eugene Phillip Holbrook age 61, died Thursday, June 7, 2001, in Fletcher Allen Health Care, after a lengthy illness. He was born son of the late Harvey and Caroline (Ruggles) Holbrook, April 25, 1940, in Haverhill, N.H.
He served in the U.S. Navy briefly during the Vietnam era. He married Elizabeth Lalene on Sept. 14, 1963. Eugene worked most of his life as a dairy farmer and was also a furniture maker and avid wood worker.
Besides his wife, Elizabeth, he is survived by four children, Philip Holbrook and his wife Regina of Kelayres, Pa., Esther Domina of Lisbon, N.H., Tabitha Gagnon and her husband Alan of Chichester, N.H., and Troy Holbrook and his wife Sherry of Lisbon, N.H., six grandchildren, Christopher Hockhousen, Tyler Domina, Audrey and Joey Gagnon, and Steven and Ashley Holbrook, one brother, Clarence Cherette and his wife Donna of Lisbon, N.H.; one sister, Shirley Sherman of N.H., several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 12, 2001, in the Brady & Levesque Funeral Chapel, 86 S. Main St., at 11 a.m. There are no visiting hours. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 77 Hegeman Ave., Colchester, VT 05446, or the Franklin County Home Health Agency, 3 Home Health Circle, St. Albans, VT 05478. Arrangements are entrusted to the Brady & Levesque Funeral Home.
ERIN K. POTERUCHA
ROCHESTER, Minn.-Erin Kathleen (Clark), 44 died Tuesday May 22, 2001 in Rochester Minnisota.
She was born January 11, 1957 in St. Albans, the daughter of John and Alice (Lawton) Kenny. She married Michael A. Poterucha on August 22, 1998 in Rochester, MN. She was a medical secretary at the Mayo Clinic.
Surviving are her husband; father John Kenny of Taylorville, IL: her children; Sara of Chicago, David Megan, Amy, John and Bridget all of Rochester, MN, a brother, Kevin and his wife Jacquelyn of Ethiopia in the Armed Forces; three sisters, Tara and her husband, Mark Terry of Marietta, GA and Laurie and her husband, Brett Mense and Kerry and her husband, Scott Loman, both of Taylorville IL. She was also a nieces of Dorothy (Lawton) Larry of St. Albans. She was predeceased by her mother.
A Funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, May 30, in the Holy Spirit Catholic church in Rochester. Burial was in Oakwood Cemetery in Rochester.
RICHARD R. JETTE
ST. ALBANS, VT/VENICE, FL -Richard R. "Dick" Jette, 73, a longtime resident of St. Albans, and recently of Venice, Fl, died January 28, 2001 in Venice. He was born in Swanton September 4, 1927, the son of the late Emile and Alice Jette. He was a Navy veteran of WWII and worked as a salesman for St. Albans Electric Appliance for 41 Years.
Dick was past president of the Owl Club and a member of the Kiwanis Club, American Legion, VFW, Elks and Green Mountain Club.
Survivors include his wife, Claire Brault Jette, a son, David Jette of New York City, a daughter, Ruth Jette, of St. Albans, stepchildren, John Brault of St. Albans and Christine Lynch of Atlanta, GA. He was predeceased by his first wife, Florence Godfrey Jette in 1983.
A graveside committal service will be held on Saturday, June 9th at 2:00 p.m. at the Jette lot in Greenwood Cemetery on South Main Street in St. Albans. Memorial gifts may be made to American Cancer Society, Vermont Division, Inc., 13 Loomis Street, Montpelier, VT 05602. A reception at the Owl Club, Congress St., St. Albans will follow the committal service. Arrangements are by the Heald Funeral Home, 87 So. Main St., St. Albans.
RUTH E. GRAETER
ENOSBURG FALLS- Ruth E. Graeter, age 86, widow of Louis T Graeter died Sunday, June 3, 2001 at her son's home in Franklin following a brief illness, she was born in Franklin on February 12, 1915 the daughter of the late James and Eva (Corey) Austin.
Ruth had been a resident of Enosburg for the past 21 years and a former resident of Franklin and a member of the East Franklin United Church. While living in Enosburg she was employed at Spears Pharmacy for 13 years retiring in 1987. She was also a Rawleigh Products Distributor in the area for many years. Ruth was active in the Grange belonging to the Tyler Branch Grange #498, Franklin County Pamona Grange #28 and the Vermont State and National Grange. She was also a member of American Legion Auxiliary Unit #42 in Enosburg, and VFW Auxiliary #778 in Swanton.
She is survived by a son, Alan Jones and his wife Faith, of Franklin; four grandchildren; 14 step-grandchildren; eight step-great-grandchildren, one step-great great grandson; two step sons, Robert Graeter of Enosburg and Ricky Graeter of Holly Hill, Fla.; six step daughters, Chritina Kassal of East Lyme, CT, Sharon Graeter of Burlington, Jackie O'Neal of Essex Junction, Marcia Douglas of New Glasgow, Nova Scota, Melanie Daly of Omaha, Nebraska, and Rebecca Graeter of St. Albans.
Ruth was predeceased by her first husband, Edward Jones, in 1976 and her second husband, Louis Graeter, in 1997. Also a step daughter Cathy Dean.
In keeping with her wishes Ruth was cremated and a memorial service will be held at the East Franklin United Church and will be announced at a later date.

BEVERLY A. DUSO
ENOSBURG FALLS - Beverly A. Duso, 64, wife of Robert H. Duso, died Saturday, June 2, 2001, at the Northwestern Medical Center in St. Albans.
She was born in Richford, Oct. 13, 1936, the daughter of the late Merritt and Mildred (Domina) Lovelette.
Bev has been a resident of Enosburg most of her life and attended the United Methodist Church. She was a former member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Unit #42 of Enosburg. She had been employed at Carney's, the Dairy Center, the Enosburg Country Club and other area restaurants for many years, retiring in November 1999.
Bev enjoyed spending time with her family and preparing meals and playing with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Duso; two sons and their wives, David and Sherry Duso of Milton, and Mark and Christa Duso of Enosburg; four daughters, Lori and Mark Shuren of Enosburg, Dawn and Joel Limmer of Bloomington, Minn., Carol and Greg Kane of Sheldon, and Shannon Duso and her friend, Michael Burke, of Colchester; her mother-in-law, Marion Duso, of Enosburg; four brothers, Loren and Velma Lovelette of Portland, Me., Norman and Yvonne Lovelette of St. Albans, Allen and Janice Lovelette of Presque Isle, Me., Lawrence and Judy Lovelette of Swanton; two sisters, Janice Gale of Burlington, Sally and Dexter Ovitt of New Smyrna Beach, Fla.; six grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a son, Michael A.; sister, Virginia Lovelette and four brothers, Merritt, Leland, Malcolm and Robert Lovelette.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning at 11 at the United Methodist Church in Enosburg with Rev. Cheryl Heater officiating.
Friends may call on the family at the Spears Funeral Home on Dickinson Ave. in Enosburg, Monday from 7 to 9 p.m.

CHARLES WORTHIN PIERCE, MD
FORT MYERS, Fla./SWANTON, Vt. - Dr. Charles Worthin Pierce, 78, a native of Swanton, Vt., died early Saturday morning, June 2, 2001, at his residence in Fort. Myers, Fla.
Dr. Pierce was born in St. Albans, Vt., Nov. 28, 1922, the son of the late Dr. Herbert L. and Lucille (Pratt) Pierce. He attended Swanton Elementary and graduated from Swanton High School and received his medical degree after graduating from Dartmouth College in New Hampshire and Harvard Medical School in Boston.
During the time of his education, and for a total of 10 years, he also served with the United States Army. Dr. Pierce served most of his medical career as a surgeon of opthalmology, devoting most of his practice to the Mt. Kisco, New York area.
His survivors include his wife, Eloise Vail Pierce of Fort Myers, Fla.; a son, Stephen Pierce and his wife, Karen, of Ashland, Wis.; and a daughter Christie Pierce of Worcester, Mass. He also leaves four grandchildren, Kadie and Tadd Dexter and Kristina and Holly Pierce, as well as several nieces and nephews.
A daughter Linda Dexter predeceased him in 1981.
Graveside funeral services and interment will be held Thursday, June 7, 2001, at 11 a.m. from the Pierce family lot in Riverside Cemetery in Swanton, Vt. The Rev. Marsha Hoecker, rector of Holy Trinity Episcopal church in Swanton will officiate.
Following the service, Dr. Pierce's family will receive friends at a reception at the Holy Trinity Parish Hall located on Grand Avenue in Swanton.
