GEORGE WILLIAM LEDDICK, SR.
SWANTON - A Funeral Service was held Tuesday evening, Oct. 24, 2006, at 7 p.m. from The Kidder Memorial Home. Father Maurice U. Boucher, SSE, pastor of St. Amadeus Roman Catholic Church, Alburgh and St. Joseph's Mission, Isle La Motte officiated. The New Testament Reading was proclaimed by family friend, Penny Shedrick. Special Words of Remembrance were shared by Mr. Leddick's son, George Leddick Jr. and close family friends Susan Kelleher and Penny Shedrick. Music was provided by family friend, Vanessa LaPlant.
Among the delegations in attendance were representatives from Myson, Inc., Club Respite, LaPlant's Tae Kwon Do, Franklin County Home Health Agency, Northwestern Medical Center and the Vermont Army National Guard.
The Rite of Committal and Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. Following the services a reception for family and friends was hosted by Mr. Leddick's family.
TIMOTHY P. OVITT
Largely attended funeral services for Timothy P. Ovitt, who passed away on Friday, Oct. 20, 2006, were held on Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2006, at 7 p.m. in the Heald Funeral Chapel with the Reverend Roland Ludlam, pastor of Church of the Rock, officiating. Special music, ìGod Bless the Broken Roadî and ìThank You, î were played during the service.
ìA Mother's Remembrance, î a letter written by Tim's mother, Libby, was read by Pastor Ludlam. Words of Remembrance were offered by family friends, William and Jude Bridwell. Letters written by Tim's wife, Lisa and his niece, Joshlyn, were also read by Pastor Ludlam.
In attendance was representation from the former Central Vermont Railway, New England Central Railway, VCOM, Northern Valley Eye Care, Linda's Pub, and many family and friends.
During visitation, music was provided by family friends and guitarists, Deanna Paquette and Cyrus Bridwell.
Assisting Tim's family is the Heald Funeral Home of St. Albans.
JOHN J. WILSON
FLETCHER - John Jay Wilson, 47, passed away Oct. 22, 2006, in Enosburg as a result of a tragic auto accident. He was born in St. Albans, Vt. on July 20, 1959, son of Elizabeth ìBettyî (Brissett) Wilson and the late Franklin Wilson.
John owned and operated Second Harvest, a demolition and antique restoration company. He took great care in the demolition of old buildings so that these great beams and lumber could be used again to make another grand structure. He loved finding trinkets and bottles that had been buried over the years and passing them on to family and friends. John had a big heart and always found the right person to give his latest find too. One of his greatest pleasures was removing an old barn from his mother's property and rebuilding it in a Florida museum. His son Sam enjoyed working with his father and always wanted to be just like dad. John was a good cook and his family always looked forward to sharing home made meals with him. He also was an avid hunter and fisherman. John will be greatly missed by all those who had the true pleasure to know and love him.
He is survived by his mother, Elizabeth ìBettyî Brissett Wilson of Jeffersonville; his daughter, Sallie Ann Wilson of Bakersfield; grandmother, Gabrielle Brissett of Jeffersonville; his siblings, Franklin Wyatt Wilson Jr. and wife Karen of Reno, Nev., Sharon Ann Underwood and friend Tom Fonda of Fletcher, Timothy James Wilson and Cathy of Fletcher; two half-brothers, Asa Glenn Wilson of Richford and Raydon Lee Wilson of St. Albans; half sister, Wanda Adkinson of Biddeford, Maine; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins; and many friends.
Visiting hours will be held at the A. W. Rich Funeral Home ñ Fairfax Chapel on Friday, Oct. 27, 2006, from 2 to 6 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Oct. 28, 2006, at 10:30 a.m. at the United Church of Bakersfield with the Reverend Sue Marie Baskette officiating. Inurnment will be private and at the convenience of the family.

SAMUEL 'SAM' J. WILSON
FLETCHER - Samuel ìSamî John Wilson, 15, passed away Monday, Oct. 23, 2006, at Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington as a result of injuries sustained during an auto accident in Enosburg. He was born the son of Nancy (DeRosia) Wilson and the late John Wilson on Sept. 25, 1991, in Burlington, Vt.
Sam was enrolled as a Freshman with BFA-Fairfax in the auto tech program. Sam was following in his Uncle Jimmy and Grampa Gene DeRosia footsteps with his love of cars. Sam enjoyed being outside four wheeling with his sister, cousins and friends exploring nature. Sam had a big heart and always thought of others. His untimely death will bring life and sight to others as an organ donor. Sam always looked forward to the quality time he and his father shared working together, hunting and fishing and spending time with his beloved mother. He will be greatly missed by all those whose lives he touched.
Sam is survived by his mother, Nancy (DeRosia) Wilson of Bakersfield; his sister, Sallie Ann Wilson of Bakersfield; his paternal grandmother, Betty Wilson of Fletcher; maternal grandfather, Gene DeRosia, originally of Bridgewater Corners, Vt.; paternal great-grandmother, Gabrielle Brissett of Jeffersonville; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was also predeceased by his maternal grandmother, Sallie DeRosia; and paternal grandfather, Franklin Wilson Sr.

LINDA JEAN ELLIOTT
GEORGIA - Linda Jean Elliott, 63, a lifelong area resident, passed away on Monday, Oct. 23, 2006, at the Fletcher Allen Health Care with her loving family at her side. She was born in St. Albans on July 30, 1943, the daughter of the late Roger C. and Lucille (Barrett) MacCallum. On July 3, 1974, at the former St. Albans Radar Base, she married William H. Elliott III, who survives her.
Linda was a 1961 graduate of Bellows Free Academy in St. Albans. She worked for A.N. Deringer Insurance Company for three years and then traveled extensively with her first husband, who was in the Navy. Linda returned to St. Albans in 1971 to start a new life for herself and her four children. She worked at the Champlain Motel, the Owl Club, the St. Albans Air Force Station NCO Club, and managed the Champlain Country Club kitchen facility to make ends meet for her family. She met MSGT William (Bill) Elliott through her association with the Air Force Station. Following an assignment to Germany, Bill and Linda retired from the Air Force and returned to Vermont, where they settled in Georgia to finish raising their family. For many years Linda worked in the State Foster Care Program, both as a care provider and as a trainer for new foster parents. In 1990, she was recognized by the State of Vermont with the Commissioner's Award for Outstanding Service to Children. Due to ill health, she was forced to drop out of the foster care program, but continued to contribute to the children of her community as a volunteer at the Georgia Elementary School. Many of her previous foster children kept in touch through the years.
She was a lifetime member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church, very active in several local women's organizations and was President of both the Georgia Home Dem Group and the St. Albans Circle of King's Daughters, the Service Seekers. She was also a member of Robert E. Glidden Post 758, Veteran's of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary and the Order of Eastern Star. Linda thoroughly enjoyed doing all types of crafts and always had something in process. The residents of the King's Daughter's Home in St. Albans will surely miss all the little goodies and crafts she made and brought to them whenever she visited.
Survivors include her husband of 32 years, Bill of Georgia; her sons, Shawn D. Elliott and his wife, Krystal, of Hyde Park, Carlton E. Elliott and his wife, Trish of St. Albans; her daughters, Christine C. and husband, Jim Bennett of Madison, Ala., Carla L. Baltzell and her husband, Mark of Swanton and Melissa M. Elliott of Georgia; her 10 grandchildren: Jasmine, Miranda, Brett, Tatiana, Taylor, Jacob, Brooke, Nathaniel, Mykala and Parker; her three brothers, Roger A. MacCallum and his wife, Judy of Inverness, Fla., David R. MacCallum and his wife, Gail of St. Albans and Gene C. MacCallum and his wife, Sandra of Swanton; a special aunt, Janet MacCallum of St. Albans; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a special former father-in-law, Carlton ìNickî Frazier.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, Oct. 27, at 11 a.m. in the Heald Funeral Chapel with the Reverend Dennis E. Hayward officiating. Interment will follow in the family lot in St. Albans Bay Cemetery. Linda's family will receive friends on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Heald Funeral Home, 87 South Main St., St. Albans.

ROBERT L. EVARTS
Robert L. Evarts, 75, of Burlington, passed away peacefully on Monday, Oct. 23, 2006, at his home after a courageous battle with lung cancer.
Bob was born on the Kimball farm in Ferrisburgh, Vt. on July 8, 1931, the son of Carlton and Elsie (Kimball) Evarts. He attended Ferrisburgh and Vergennes schools.
In 1950, Bob went to work for Yandow Motor Company and worked there until the Yandow's sold out in 1988. After that he worked for the Bayview and Shearer Dealerships and finished his sales career at Handy Pontiac, Cadillac, Buick, GMC Trucks, Inc. in St. Albans, Vt.
As a young boy Bob taught himself to play the drums. He played with many groups including the Tick Tocks, The Willie Wall Trio, and The Bob Evarts Trio. His groups played in New York and Vermont for weddings, special occasions, and in nightclubs.
Bob was a member of the Burlington Elks Club, BPOE 916 and the Burlington Eagles Club, the Fraternal Order of Eagles 793.
Bob is survived by his wife Barbara; sons, Bradley Rae, Robert Rae and wife Christine of Greenland, Arkansas; daughter, Laurie Marshall and husband Fred of West Warwick, R.I.; step-children, Linda Bailey and husband Chester of Indianapolis, IN, David Conrow and wife Joyce of Deleware, Ohio, Steven Conrow and friend Corliss McLean of Sharon, Vt.; grandchildren, Christopher, Jason, James, and Suzanne Weeks; step-grandchildren, Erika Byrne, Kristin Bailey, Daniel Bailey and his wife Elizabeth, Grant Edwards and his wife Susan, and great-grandson Cole Edwards. He is also survived by sisters-in-law, Margaret Evarts of South Burlington and Martha Evarts of New Haven, Vt.; nieces and nephews, Michael, Mark, Brian, Leslie, Jo-Anne, Robert, Timmy, Linda, Pamela, Nancy, Terry, Cherri, Vance, Adam, and Craig. Bob was predeceased by his parents; his four brothers, Judson, Vance, Donald, and Clyde; his sister-in-law Shirley; and nephews, Judson, Scott, and Tommy.
Bob's family would like to thank the Visiting Nurse Association, especially Kim Fox and all who helped care for Bob at home; the Vermont Center for Cancer Medicine and the doctors and nurses who cared for Bob at the center; niece Linda Cooper and all the friends who visited, called, and sent cards.

CHARLOTTE A. SUNDERLAND
A Service of Worship In Memory of Charlotte A. Sunderland, who passed away on Friday, Oct. 20, 2006, was held on Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2006, in the Georgia Plain Baptist Church with Pastor Charles Kuthe officiating. Music was provided by organist, Alexis Bell. Special music, ìIn the Gardenî and ìHow great Thou Artî were by guitarist, Gail Perras.
Memories of Charlotte were shared by her daughter, Bette Dunsmore, and by several family and friends.
In attendance was representation from the Georgia Volunteer Fire Department and First Response, Bellows Free Academy, Northwest Technical Center, Redstone Villa Nursing Home, Rail City Salon and R.L. Vallee, Inc.
Casket bearers were Charlotte's grandsons, Todd Crocker, Russell Crocker, Jonathan Crocker, Brian Dunsmore, Bradley Dunsmore, Clayton Duffy and Matthew Duffy.
Following Prayers of Committal by Pastor Kuthe, interment took place in the Sunderland family lot in the Georgia Plain Cemetery. A luncheon followed in the church hall hosted by the Georgia Plain Church family.

GEORGE 'SKIP' LAWRENCE CLYMER
DENVER, Colo. ñ Skip Clymer (George L III), 47 years old, died suddenly of a heart attack in his home in Denver, Colo. on Oct. 3, 2006.
Skip was born in Annapolis, Md. and lived in Fairfield / St. Albans, Vt. from 1992 until 2000.He was a long time employee of Adelphia Cable while residing here in Vermont.
Surviving him are his daughter, Emily Clymer of St. Albans, Vt.; his wife, Rachel Clymer; children, Tony Clymer, Jody Clymer; mother, Marge Clymer; and brother, Jon Clymer and his wife Aundrea; Skip's niece Isabella; Skip's stepson that he raised and thought of his own, Brandon.
His passion for music was lifelong and his dedication to work endless.
Those how knew him will remember his endless energy for life and his children.
Services were privately held in Denver.

SCOTT A. GREENWOOD
RICHFORD - Scott A. Greenwood, 36, a lifelong area resident, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, Nov. 27, 2006, at the Fletcher Allen Health Care with his loving family at his side. He was born in St. Albans, Vt. on June 10, 1970, the son of James Skinner and Judy Greenwood. On Dec. 19, 1997, in Missouri, Scott married the former Jennifer Hood, who survives him.
Scott was a 1987 graduate of Missisquoi Valley Union High School. He was employed as a groundskeeper at the Bakersfield Country Club, a flagger for J.A. McDonald Corporation and more recently by the Peerless Clothing Company. Scott was an outdoors person, enjoying golfing, hunting and fishing. He also followed the St. Louis Cardinals and was a huge fan of the New York Giants. He enjoyed NASCAR racing, his favorite driver being Mark Martin. Scott will be remembered for his wit and comical ways.
Survivors include his wife, Jennifer, of Richford; his mother, Judy Greenwood, of Richford; his sister, Danielle Lee Sorrells and her husband, Roy, of Yorktown, Va.; his two brothers, Tony Humphrey of East Richford and Jeremy Humphrey of St. Albans; his uncles, Chris Greenwood and his wife, Carol of Highgate, Raymond Toppy Greenwood of Essex Junction, and Roy Greenwood of California; his aunts, Ila Parrotte of St. Albans and Lisa Bushey Ovitt of Highgate; his sister-in-law, Debbie Pebbler and her husband, Marvin of Glendale, Ariz.; his brothers-in-law, Chuck Ridgel of Bolton, Mo. and J.D. Gilbert Jr. of Gulfport, Miss.; his nephews, Ryan, Riley, Isaiah, Damian, C.J., Steven, Ray, Tony, Bryan and Chris; cousins, Cara, Evony and Lindsey Bushey and Wanda ONeal; a special friend, Fergie Ferland and many other close friends. Scott was preceded in death by his grandparents, Nanna and Dada Greenwood; his mother-in-law, Betty Hood and his father-in-law, Charles Turner; and an uncle, Pa Bushey.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, Dec. 1, 2006, at 11 a.m. in the Heald Funeral Chapel, 87 South Main St., St. Albans. Pastor Roland Ludlam of Church of the Rock will officiate. Interment will follow in the family lot in Sheldon Village Cemetery. Scotts family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.

SHERMAN E. EATON
Sherman E. Eaton, 86, of Pine Hill Road, Wakefield, R.I., died Monday.
Born in Windham, Conn., he was a son of the late Alfred V. and Maude Pearl (Houghaboom) Eaton.
Mr. Eaton was employed as an engineering technician for Hamilton Standard in Windsor Locks, Conn. He was a World War II US Navy Veteran; a 33Mason of The Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite of Free Masonry and awarded the Pierpont Edwards Medal in Bronze for Distinguished Masonic Service. He was a member and lifetime Deacon of the First Congregational Church, Willimantic, Conn. and a member of the Peace Dale Congregational Church in Rhode Island.
He was father of Elwyn W. Eaton of West Kingston, R.I., Carolyn J. Schwab of Wakefield, R.I. and the late Sherman E. Eaton Jr.; brother of Robert Eaton of Waterbury, Vt.; grandfather of Melissa Crist, Craig and Christopher Eaton; and great-grandfather of Alexandre Eaton.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, 9 a.m. in the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield, R.I. Burial will be in Windham Center Cemetery, Windham Center, Conn. at 11:30 a.m. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
