JOHN W. WARREN
CAMBRIDGE - John William Warren, 91, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2005, at Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington. He was born in Cambridge on Aug. 11, 1914, son of the late William and Gertrude (Hanley) Warren.
John graduated from Cambridge High School, Class of 1932. He married the love of his life, the former Thelda “Tillie” Dodge, on Feb. 6, 1937 in Underhill. John was a 50-plus year member of the former Warner Lodge 50 and current Mt. Mansfield Lodge 26 F&AM.
He always looked forward to the trips he would take to all of the country fairs and field days to support his grandchildren in their various cattle shows, taking great personal pride as their grandfather in their blue ribbon accomplishments. He was a devoted and loving father, grandfather, and friend. John will be greatly missed by all of those who had the true pleasure to know and love him.
He is survived by his wife, Thelda “Tillie” (Dodge) Warren of Cambridge; three sons Martin Warren and wife, Beverly of Michigan, Gary Warren and wife, Carol of Underhill, and Jeffrey Warren of Cambridge; one daughter, Jeanette Hill and husband, Robert of Bristol; nine grandchildren, Leslie May and husband, David, Ronald Hill and wife, Liz, Joanne Hill and Dan Euber, Kenneth Warren, Daniel Warren and wife, Meg, Stephanie McGreevy and husband, Andrew, Brian Hill and wife, Chanin, Martin Warren and wife, Tracy, Kevin Hill and wife, Amy; 13 great-grandchildren; one stepsister, Barbara McGee of Burlington; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was also predeceased by one brother, Kenneth Warren, in 1927.
The family would like to thank the staff of Shepardson 4 and the staff of the ICU on McLure 4 East at Fletcher Allen Health Care for the special love and attention offered John during his stay.
There will be no public visiting hours. A graveside memorial service with inurnment will be on Friday, Sept. 30, 2005, at 12 p.m. in the Jeffersonville Village Cemetery with Reverend Elizabeth Griffin officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made in John’s memory to the Lamoille Home Health and Hospice, 54 Farr Ave., Morrisville, Vt. 05661.

AGNES JEWETT SMITH
RICHFORD - Agnes Jewett Smith, age 85, a resident of Richford and widow of Addison J. Smith, died on Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2005, at Redstone Villa in St. Albans following a lengthy illness. She was born in Montgomery on Sept. 6, 1920, the daughter of the late Horatio and Iva (Rushford) Jewett.
Agnes had been a resident of Richford since 1951 where she and her husband had owned and operated a dairy farm for many years. She was a member of the United Methodist Church. During her retirement, Agnes was very active in the foster grandparent program in area schools.
Agnes is survived by one son, Charles Bridges and his wife, Terry of New Ipswich, N.H.; two daughters: Patricia Korbich and her husband, John of Paxinos, Pa. and Laura Isleib and her husband, Donald of Newtown, Pa.; two step-sons: Wendell Smith and his wife, Leona of Dexter, Maine, and Keith Smith and his wife, Cora Mae of Richford; two sisters, Gyneth Wood and Charlotte St. Germain, both of Framingham, Mass.; eight grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. Agnes was predeceased by a sister, Gladys Jewett; and four brothers: Arnold, Donald, Lawrence and Wendell Jewett.
Graveside services will held on Saturday, Oct. 1, at 12 noon at the Richford Center Cemetery with the Reverend Heidi Reinker officiating. There will be no calling hours.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations in memory of Mrs. Smith may be made to a charity of your choice.
JUSTIN RYAN MUMLEY
MILTON - Justin Ryan Mumley, 18, died unexpectedly on Saturday, Sept. 24, 2005, in South Burlington doing what he loved to do, riding his motorcycle.
Justin made the world a better place at 4:45 p.m. on Sunday, April 26, 1987. He was the first-born child of George Mumley Jr. and Stacey (Saunders-Guay) Mumley and they were, and are, so very proud to be his parents.
Justin was a very hard working, energetic young man and was loved by all. His friends and family were very important to him and he tried to spend as much time with them as possible, making sure he was there when they needed him. He comes from a very loving and close family that will miss his smile, laugh, beautiful face and kind heart. He was their “Rock.” His mom will especially miss being told “thanks Mom, I love you” by him because he was not afraid to say it and would do so often. She was so proud of her wonderful son and will be lost without him.
Throughout his life, Justin and his Dad have enjoyed spending quality time working closely together fixing classic cars, especially his 63 Buick Wildcat. Justin enjoyed tinkering with his motorcycle and cars with his “buddies” and “working out” with friend Nick. He had a great love for drawing and was a natural artist. His kind heart will be remembered by anyone who had the pleasure of coming in contact with him. He was in his senior year at Milton High School where he was well known, liked and respected. He was also employed at Advanced Auto Parts in South Burlington, where he had made many new friends.
Justin is survived by his parents, George “JR” and Stacey Mumley; his sisters, Amanda Mumley and her boy-friend Nick Camper, Miranda Mumley; and brothers, David Mumley and Kyle Mumley, all of Milton. His grandparents, Rejean “Johnny” and Susan Guay of Milton, George Mumley Sr. and Theresa Beshaw of Burlington, Bob “Gramps” Goodell of Arizona; his uncle, Gary Mumley and wife Melinda, Gary’s former wife Patty Houle along with their children and his “Uncle Billy” Dorsey, all of Burlington; along with several great-aunts and uncles, cousins and other close family and friends. He also survived by his special Aunt Vicki Brooks and special cousins, Sabrina and Christian, all of South Burlington; and best friends, Chad Harrington, Jessie Pecor, Travis St. Hilaire, Stephanie Lavine, and Andy Miner.
Justin was predeceased by his great-grandmother, Lillian “Gram” Saunders; his “Aunt Patty” Mumley; and his best friend, Bruno.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday Sept. 27, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Minor Funeral Home in Milton. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2005, at 1p.m. in the New Life Christian Fellowship, located on Center Drive in Milton, with interim to follow at the Mountain View Cemetery in Essex Center.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Justin’s name may be made to his family.
HELEN C. TEAGUE
SHELDON - Mrs. Helen C. Teague, 77, a lifelong area resident, passed away on Friday evening, Sept. 23, 2005, at Redstone Villa following a brief illness. She was born in East Fairfield on May 16, 1928, the daughter of the late Edward and Sarah (Leach) Brooks. She was the widow of Robert E. Teague, who passed away on May 8, 1994.
Survivors include two sons, Robert K. Teague of Sheldon and Brooks Teague of Miami, Fla.; four sisters-in-law: Madelene Lemnah of St. Albans, Rosalie Teague of St. Albans, Elizabeth Hatch of Belfast, Maine, and Polly Cosgrove of Bakersfield; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Besides her husband Robert, she was predeceased by a son, Benjamin Teague, who died on May 7, 2000.
At her request, funeral services and interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. There will be no public visitation.

M. CECILE PRIOR
ST. ALBANS - A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated for Mrs. M. Cecile Prior on Friday at 10 a.m. in Holy Angels Church. Father Maurice Roy was the celebrant. Altar servers were Maynard Gosselin and George Swann. Claire Hungerford was the organist and soloist.
Sharing fond remembrances with the congregation were her grandchildren, Becky Prior and Nathan Yandow.
Attending were representatives of the Franklin County Senior Center and former Nason Street neighbors.
Bearers were Nathan Yandow, Jason Rushlow, Richard Kleinert, Richard Allard, Peter Allard and Stephen Allard.
Following Prayers of Committal by Father Roy, interment was in the Prior family lot in Holy Cross Cemetery.
A luncheon was served by the Ladies of St. Anne in Holy Angels Parish Center.
Thursday afternoon, Father Roy held a Christian Wake Service with the Prior family in the Brady & Levesque Funeral Home.
MADELYN A. ‘PIDGIE’ COLEMAN
Funeral services for Madelyn A. "Pidgie" Coleman, who passed away on Sept. 19, 2005, were held on Friday, Sept. 23, 2005, at 11 a.m. in St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church with the Reverend Leonidas B. Laroche celebrating A Mass of Christian Burial assisted by the Reverend Roland Rivard, a family friend and Pastor of St. Anthony's Catholic Church and Christ the King Parish in Burlington. The Holy Scriptures were proclaimed by a granddaughter, Katie Deslauriers. Assisting at the altar and homilist was Deacon Jack Rixon. Altar server was John Manahan. Music was by organist and vocalist, Mary Jo Gillilan. Presentation of the Eucharistic Gifts were by grandchildren, Steele DuBrul, Olivia DuBrul and McClean Coleman. Words of remembrance were by grandson, Adam Deslauriers, son-in-law, Peter Deslauriers and Father Rivard.
In attendance was representation from the Northwestern Medical Center Emergency Department, St. Albans City management and staff, Champlain Country Club, Kevin Smith's Sport Connection, staff, management, and board of directors of Peoples Trust Company, Bellows Free Academy staff, faculty, students and school board, St. Albans City Elementary School, St. Albans Lodge 1566, B.P.O.E., Montcalm Real Estate, Maplefields 8 a.m. coffee group, General Martha Rainville, staff and members of Green Mountain Post 1, American Legion, Thorpe Avenue neighbors, Kittell, Branagan and Sargent, Gallagher family farms, Howrigan family farms and Magnan family farms, Cioffi Real Estate and Corner Store, Smith-Barney, Swanton Lumber Company, ACE Hardware, and St. Mary's Parish family.
Honorary bearers were Pidgie's grandsons: Danny, Adam and Jacob Deslauriers, Greg, Jeremy and Brian Coleman, Craig Jewett, Robbie and Ian Toof, Ryan Eaton, Patrick Coleman and Steele DuBrul.
A luncheon followed at the American Legion Hall, hosted by the members of Green Mountain Post 1, American Legion.
Assisting Pidgie's family was the Heald Funeral Home of St. Albans.
MARIAN ELIZABETH REMILLARD
Funeral services for Marian Elizabeth Remillard, who passed away on Sept. 21, 2005, were held on Saturday, Sept. 24, 2005, at 10 a.m. in Holy Angels Catholic Church with the Reverend David Kiyingi celebrating a Mass of Christian Burial. Assisting was Deacon Dwayne Langlois. Music was provided by organist and vocalist, Mary Jo Gillilan. Special music, "When the Saints Come Marching In, " was by great-granddaughter, Lauren Wry. Altar servers were Norman Bushey, Maynard Gosselin and great-grandchildren, Jessica and Marcus Dutkiewicz.
The white funeral pall was placed on Marian's casket by her four daughters: Carol Girard, Jeanne Haner, Joan Dutkiewicz and Patricia Remillard. The crucifix was then place by Carol Girard, who represented Marian's oldest daughter, Joyce. The Holy Scriptures were proclaimed by grandchildren, Donna Girard Mainwaring and Frank Dutkiewicz. The Eucharistic Gifts were presented to the Altar by Patricia Remillard, Marian Dutkiewicz, Debbie King and Christine Nichols. Words of remembrance were offered by Donna Girard Mainwaring and Mark Dutkiewicz.
In attendance was representation from Franklin County Home Health Agency, Northside Baptist Church, Georgia United Methodist Church, Rachel's Styling Salon, Yandow Lawn Care, Northwestern Medical Center, Kittell, Branagan & Sargent, City of St. Albans, Bonnett Welding and Bonnett Racing Team #79, St. Pius X Parish family and Huntington Street neighbors.
Casket bearers were Marian's grandsons: Chad, Norman, Robert and Marty Remillard, Richard Gaboriault, Lawrence and Shane Girard and Mark and Mike Dutkiewicz.
Following Prayers of Committal by Deacon Langlois, interment took place in the family lot in Mount Calvary Cemetery. A luncheon was then hosted by the Ladies of St. Anne in the Holy Angels Parish hall.
Father Kiyingi held a Vigil for the Deceased with Marian's family and friends on Friday evening.
Assisting Marian's family was the Heald Funeral Home of St. Albans.
RONALD W. KITTELL
BEAUMONT, TEXAS - Ronald W. Kittell, age 78, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 7, in Beaumont, Texas. He was born on Nov. 18, 1926, to Wesley and Louella (Boucher) Kittell in St. Albans, Vt. He attended schools in Fairfield and graduated from Brigham Academy in Bakersfield.
Ronald was a veteran of the U.S. Army during World War II. After leaving the service, he settled in New York State. He was a supervisor for Lane Construction until his retirement in 1991. He then moved to Beaumont, Texas.
He is survived by his twin brother, Donald Kittell and his wife, Eleanor; a brother, Samuel Soule and his wife, Melody; and a sister, Martha Cameron and Bob Granger. He also leaves several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Lorraine, in 1998.
Calling hours were held on Sept. 10. A funeral service for Ronald was held on Sunday, Sept. 11, at Broussard’s Funeral Home in Beaumont. Burial was at Pine Ridge Cemetery in Sour Lake, Texas.

THELMA B. ISHAM
ST. ALBANS - Mrs. Thelma B. Isham, age 94, died Saturday morning, June 25, 2004, at the home of her son Spencer Isham. She was born in St. Albans, daughter of the late Arthur and Elizabeth (Hart) Boomhover, March 9, 1911.
She graduated from the Mary Fletcher School of Nursing in 1939. She operated the Sheltering Arms and Isham Manor Nursing Homes in St. Albans. She married Lt. Col. F. Spencer Isham in the fall of 1941. Mr. Isham predeceased her Dec. 12, 1965. She was a life member of the Order of the Eastern Star and the First Baptist Church of St. Albans. The family wishes to thank Sophia Greenia, Denise Delorme, Samantha Mitchell and Dale Walsh all of the Franklin County Home Health Agency for the care they showed to Mrs. Isham.
Thelma is survived by her three sons: Spencer Isham and his companion, Susan Ferrio, Bretton Isham and his wife, Lucille, and Mark Isham and his wife, Karlene all of St. Albans; her nine grandchildren and their spouses: Sean and Lori Isham, Kim and Scott Mumley, Kristine Isham, Karlotta and Rob Reyome, Vicki and Eric Isham, Heather and Elyssa Isham and Crystal Hughes; her 15 great-grandchildren: Corey, Ashley, Jamie and Robbie Mumley, Karissa Columbe, Quinton, Devon, Zach and Madison Isham, Andrew and Ian Isham, Kayleena Isham, Brittany and Megan Reyome; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Thelma was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Lt. Col. F. Spencer Isham; and her sisters, Eleanor Heald on Aug. 25, 1994, and Elizabeth Lahue on Dec. 8, 2002; and her brother, Vernon Boomhover, Dec. 13, 2003.
Interment will be in the Isham family lot in Greenwood Cemetery, Saturday, Sept. 24, 2005, at 10 a.m.

MARIAN ELIZABETH DENNY REMILLARD
ST. ALBANS - Mrs. Marian Elizabeth Denny Remillard, 91, a longtime area resident, passed away early Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2005, at her home with her loving family at her side. She was born in Hamilton, Wash. on June 20, 1914, the daughter of the late Calvin James and Agnes Elizabeth (Hoover) Denny. She moved to Vermont in 1934, and on July 4, 1936, she married Lionel "Smoker" Remillard, who predeceased her on Oct. 11, 1992.
One of Marian's favorite past-times was gardening and canning the fruits of her labor, which were enjoyed by many.
Survivors include her children: Joyce Remillard of St. Albans, Carol and Larry Girard of Essex Junction, Jeanne and Al Haner of St. Albans, Hubert and Jerrilyn Remillard of Georgia, James Remillard and Jean Hayden of St. Albans, Joan and Frank Dutkiewicz of St. Albans, Patricia Remillard of St. Albans, Michael Remillard of St. Albans, Maurice and Kathy Remillard of St. Albans, and Norman Remillard of St. Albans; 22 grandchildren, and 39 great-grandchildren. Besides her husband, Lionel, she was predeceased by two grandsons: Murray Remillard and Richard "Ricky" Remillard; a daughter-in-law, Marsha Remillard; and a son-in- law, Sanford Gaboriault.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10 a.m. in Holy Angels Catholic Church on Lake Street. Interment will be in the Remillard family lot at Mount Calvary Cemetery. Marian's family will receive friends on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Heald Funeral Home, 87 South Main St.

MADELYN ANN ‘PIDGIE’ COLEMAN
ST. ALBANS / MILTON - Madelyn Ann "Pidgie" Coleman, 77, a resident of the Lake Road in Milton, passed away on Monday, Sept. 19, 2005, at Northwestern Medical Center with her loving family at her side. She was born in St. Albans on July 14, 1928, the daughter of the late Charles and Ellen (Shore) Depatie. On Nov. 25, 1950, in St. Mary's Church in St. Albans, she married Ronald F. “Boogie” Coleman, who passed away on June 21, 2005.
Pidgie graduated from St. Mary's High School, Sargent College in Cambridge, Mass. and the Burlington Business College. She was secretary and bookkeeper for the Central Catholic School. She was a communicant of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church and a former member of Catholic Daughters of America. An avid golfer, Pidgie was a former member and club champion of the Champlain Country Club.
Survivors include two sons, Mark of Brooksville, Fla. and his good friend, Val Benoit, and Michael of St. Albans and his close friend, Joy Karnes; five daughters and their husbands, Martha and Peter DesLauriers of St. Albans, Maureen and Robert Toof of Georgia, Mary Lee and Michael Bourassa of Grand Isle, Ann and Lester Eaton of Milton, and Amy and Steele DuBrul of Shelburne; two brothers, Damian Depatie of Colorado Springs, Colo. and Frank Depatie and his wife, Todd of Kalamazo, Mich., a brother-in-law and his wife, Fred and Theresa Coleman of St. Albans; three sisters-in-law, Loretta Magnan of Montpelier, Geraldine Mina of Barefoot Bay, Fla., and Shirley and Ray Petchell of Moore, Okla.; 20 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Charles Depatie.
Pidgie's family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Northwestern Medical Center for exceptional care during her illness.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Friday, Sept. 23, 2005, at 11 a.m. in St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church on Fairfield Street. A luncheon will follow the Mass at the American Legion Hall, 100 Parah Drive, St. Albans.
