DONALD EVERETT BRUCE, JR.
ST. ALBANS / EAST HIGHGATE -- Donald Everett Bruce, Jr., 35, a lifelong resident of these communities, died suddenly Friday, May 28, 2004, at his parents home in East Highgate.
Born in St. Albans, March 13, 1969, he was the son of Donald Sr. and Marion (French) Bruce. He graduated from Bellows Free Academy-St. Albans and was presently associated with Unicorne Stables on Water Tower Road in Berkshire.
Don will always be remembered as a very generous person who loved helping people and was always the first one to volunteer any time someone was in need. He loved the outdoors, enjoyed yard work, shoveling snow and especially spending quality time with his family. He was very involved in the Vermont Special Olympics.
In addition to his parents, Donald Sr. and Marion of East Highgate; he leaves two brothers, Daniel Bruce of Fairfield and Darrell Bruce of Kentucky; two sisters, Laurie Williams of Highgate and Tammy Ryals of Auburn Washington; six favorite nephews, Teddy, David, Nathan and Matthew Bruce all of Highgate and Jonathan Kropp and Jacob Ryals both of Auburn, Wash.; dear and special friends, Patsy Terrien and Betsy Taylor both of St. Albans; as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Don touched many lives including, David Crounse, Susan Brooks, Colleen Sears, Albert Paradis, Dave Laggis, Steve and Missy Dimaggio and family and Peg Donahue. Don will be deeply missed by all who knew him, especially his Mom and Dad.
Funeral Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. The Reverend Marcheta Townsend will officiate. Interment will take place in the Highgate Center Cemetery. There will be no public visitation.
Gifts in Donald's memory may be made to assist the family in the purchase of a permanent cemetery memorial, in care of, Donald and Marion Bruce, P.O. Box 442, Highgate Center, Vt. 05459.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Kidder Memorial Home, 89 Grand Avenue, Swanton.
BEATRICE R. BOUCHARD
SWANTON -- Beatrice R. Bouchard, 94, a longtime Swanton resident, died Friday morning, May 28, 2004, in the Haven Health Care Center in St. Albans Town.
Born in Napierville, Quebec Canada on Feb. 3, 1910, she was the daughter of the late Domina and Adele (Matties) Bouchard. She attended schools in Canada and later worked several years as a seamstress at the Swanton Sewing Factory. She was a parishioner of The Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
Beatrice leaves one sister, Mrs. Lucienne Trahan and her husband, Conald, of Essex Junction; and three brothers, Louis Bouchard of Deland, Fla., Andrew Bouchard of Swanton and Adrian Bouchard and his wife Blanche of Enfield, Conn.; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Four brothers, Ernest, Gabriel, John and Ephraim Bouchard, predeceased her.
The Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, June 2, 2004, at 11 a.m. from St. Louis Roman Catholic Church, Lamkin Street, Highgate Center. Father John J. Meagher, SSE will be the celebrant and homilist. Interment will follow in the Bouchard family lot in St. Louis Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Kidder Memorial Home, 89 Grand Avenue, Swanton, Wednesday morning from 9 to 10:30.

VELMA E. PECK
ENOSBURG FALLS -- Velma E. Peck, age 88, passed away Saturday morning, May 29, 2004, at the Northwestern Medical Center in St. Albans.
She was born Dec. 2, 1915 in St. Albans, the daughter of the late Mitchell and Edna (Cross) Cross.
She was a resident of Enosburg Falls since 1941 and was a member of the Enosburg Falls United Methodist Church. She was employed for many years at A. Brown and Ben Franklin. She was a member & Past Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star Martha Washington Chapter 44 and was also a Past Grand Chapter Officer.
She is survived by a son and his wife, Mel and Lynda Peck of Enosburg; two granddaughters, Sonya Peck and Kathy Gleason; five great-grandchildren, Mitchell and McKenzie Gleason, Skyler Mehan, and Cole and Dana Elkins. She was predeceased by her husband, M. Harold Peck; four brothers and three sisters.
In keeping with Velma's wishes she will be cremated and a memorial service will be held Wednesday, June 2, 2004, at 11 a.m. at the Enosburg Falls United Methodist Church with Pastor Cheryl Heater officiating. Interment will follow in the Enosburgh Center Cemetery.

CAROLYN J. "CALI" LEE
SWANTON -- Carolyn J. "Cali" Lee, 42, of Swanton took her final journey, Sunday afternoon, May 30, 2004, from the Vermont Respite House in Williston.
She was a world traveler, had boundless curiosity, a deep love of nature and most importantly a gift for reaching out to all those she encountered.
Most recently, Cali became Spanish teacher at Missisquoi Valley Union High School beloved by all her students, especially Ashley Sullivan and the faculty, especially Ann Steinmuller and Meredith Hoisington.
Cali is survived by her parents, Dorothy and Al Lee of Pineville, La.; her sister and brother-in-law, Chris and John Warner of Louisville, Ky.; her brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Wanda Lee, nephew, Chauncey and great niece, Victoria all of Pineville, La.
Cali will always be remembered by her loving and caring friends, especially Sandy Pickering and Wanda Crum of Swanton, Molly "Doc" Keefe and Jill Picioccio of St. Albans, Amanda LaDuc of Fletcher, Rebecca Tisdale of Alexandria, La. and her loving longtime friend, Beverly Staubs of Decatur, Tenn.
Cali's family and friends would like to thank Sharon and the loving staff of the Vermont Respite House for their kindness as well as the wonderful nursing staff on McClure 6 at Fletcher Allen Health Care, especially, Nancy, Steph, Diane and Linda.
A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday evening, June 2, 2004, at 8 p.m. from the Kidder Memorial Home, 89 Grand Avenue, Swanton. Interment will take place later in Louisiana. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 7 until the hour of the funeral.

ROY VICTOR WILSON
FAIRFAX -- Roy Victor Wilson, 61, a resident of West Street Road in Fairfax, died Sunday afternoon, May 30, 2004, in his home surrounded by his family and friends.
Born in Newport, Vt., April 20, 1943, he was the son of the late Edward and Mary (Wilson) Wilson.
Roy leaves two sisters, Edna Mae Allen of St. Albans and Elizabeth J. Wilson of Fairfield; one brother, Roderick O. Wilson of Derby Line and his sister-in-law and guardian, Mrs. Lois Wilson of Underhill. Roy is also survived by David Crounse and Sharon O'Neill and their children, Grayson and Oakley all of Fairfax -- his second family with whom he lived for the last 10 years.
In addition to his parents Roy was predeceased by his brother, Roland S. Wilson in March of 1994.
Roy leaves many friends and has touched many lives. His family would especially like to thank Cindy Boren of St. Albans and the Santee Family of Fairfax and all those who helped make Roy's life a happy life. He will always be remembered for his love of listening to and playing music, enjoying car rides on sunny days and holiday meals with family and loved ones.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, June 4, 2005, at 10 a.m. from the Kidder Memorial Home, 89 Grand Avenue, Swanton. The Reverend Elizabeth Griffin of the Fairfax United Church and Father Daniel J. Jordan of St. Thomas Roman Catholic Church in Underhill together will officiate. Interment services will follow at 2 p.m. at the Wilson family lot in the Walter Harvey Cemetery in West Barnet. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday morning from 9 a.m. until the hour of the funeral.

CATHERINE M. MESSIER
RICHFORD -- Catherine M. Messier, age 91, passed away Saturday, May 30, 2004, at the Redstone Villa Nursing Home in St. Albans.
She was born in Richford March 29, 1913, the daughter of the late Charles A. and Viola (Cummings) Fuller.
She was a life long resident of Richford and was employed as a secretary at Sweat-Comings Furniture Co. for many years. She was a 1929 graduate of the National Academy of Music in New York City, a 1932 graduate of Richford High School, and a 1933 graduate of Burlington Business College. Catherine enjoyed music, playing piano and was a member of the International Swingsters Band.
She is survived by her son, Brian "Buzz" Messier and his wife Virginia; her daughter, Virginia Kinney and her husband Raymond, all of Berkshire; five grandchildren, Edward Messier of Berkshire, Richard Messier and his wife, Mabel of Richford, Todd Kinney and his wife Sharon, Peggy Gaudette and her husband Roy, and Neil Kinney all of Berkshire; 14 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday afternoon, June 2, 2004, at 3 at the Hillside Cemetery in Richford with Pastor Patrick Hoadley officiating. In keeping with Catherine's wishes there will be no visiting hours.

WILLIAM B. FARLEY
RURAL HALL, N.C. / SOUTH BURLINGTON, Vt. -- William B. Farley, 63, passed away unexpectedly, Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2003, in St. Albans, Vt. He was born in Lexington, Ky. on Oct. 27, 1940, the son of Louise (Cole) Farley and the late William B. Farley, Sr. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather.
Bill was a long time resident of South Burlington. He was employed at IBM Essex Junction for 25 years following which he moved to North Carolina in 1993, where he was employed by Computer Task Group. More recently he had been employed as a system analyst at Wachovia Bank in Winston-Salem.
Bill was a 1966 graduate of Villanova University, Villanova, Pa. and was a former member of the South Burlington Fire Department. He was also an avid golfer, loved the computer in all aspects, and traveling, especially when he took trips to visit his family in New England.
Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Mary (Meighan) Farley of Rural Hall, N.C.; his mother, Louise C. Farley of West Columbia, S.C.; two daughters, Kathy Devlin and her husband, Joe, of Billerica, Mass. and Shawn Brier and her husband, Chris, of St. Albans, Vt.; two grandchildren, Tricia and Matthew Devlin; a sister, Sue Anderson and her husband, Walt, of West Columbia, S.C.; a brother, Vick Farley of Victoria, British Columbia; his father-in-law, William Meighan of Billerica, Mass.; two "grand puppies" Sadie and Madison Brier; and many close friends. He was predeceased by his father, William B. Farley, Sr. in 1991 and by his mother-in-law, Kathryn "Tooty" Meighan in 2002.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. John Vianney Catholic Church in South Burlington, Vt. on Saturday, June 5, 2004, at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Resurrection Park Cemetery.

ADRIENNE WALSH
TWIN FALLS, IDAHO -- Adrienne Walsh, 44, of Twin Falls, Idaho, passed away early Friday morning, May 28, 2004, at her home surrounded by her family, after a long battle with cancer.
Adrienne was born on Sept. 1, 1959, in Dublin, Ireland, to Seamus and Maureen O'Connor.
Adrienne is survived by her husband, Sean; three children Siona, Orla, and Brian; her mother Maureen; sister Grainne; and two brothers Seamus and Ray. She was preceded in death by her father.
Adrienne was a great mother, daughter and wife. She was someone who lived life to the fullest. She was a caring and giving person always making sure that her family was taken care of. Adrienne was cared for the last few weeks by her family, mother, her aunt Maggie and the staff of Aspen Grove Home Health.
A funeral mass was held at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 31, 2004, at St. Edward the Confessor Catholic Church, 161 6th Ave. E. in Twin Falls, Idaho with Father John Koelsch officiating. A viewing was held on Sunday, May 30 from 5 to 7 p.m. at White Mortuary Chapel by the Park' in Twin Falls, Idaho. Burial will be at a later date in Ireland.
The family suggests memorials be given to the American Cancer Society, c/o Hazel Wilder, 359 Orchalara Ave., Twin Falls, ID 83301.
JESSIE F. BOUTAH
ALBURG -- Jessie F. Boutah, 77, a longtime resident of South Main Street in Alburg Village, died late Tuesday afternoon, July 27, 2004, in the Northwestern Medical Center in St. Albans City.
Born in Isle La Motte on Feb. 3, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Edith (Pearo) Ero. She was married to George E. "Manny" Boutah, who predeceased her on March 30, 1962.
Jessie attended schools in Isle La Motte, Vt. and Chazy, N.Y. In earlier years she had been associated with Chazy Orchards, Triplex Industries and local area restaurants. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion, Creller-Landon Post 60, a communicant of St. Amadeus Roman Catholic Church and was a past Cub Scout Den Mother.
Surviving are her sons, George Boutah and his wife Claire and Daniel Boutah all of Alburg; four grandchildren, Amy, Michael, Patrick and Kiley; three great-grandchildren, Haley, Cole and Hayley, whom she all loved dearly; a brother, Paul Ero of Ellenburg, N.Y.; and a sister, Millie Pearo of Fair Haven, Vt. Also her longtime companion and friend Vincent Mitchell of Alburg.
Six brothers, Joe, George, Fred, Seth, James and David and three sisters, Peggy, Mabel and Van all predeceased her.
