LAWRENCE ALPHONSE THEORET, JR.
ALBURG -- Lawrence Alphonse Theoret, Jr., 42, died accidentally Monday evening, April 26, 2004, enjoying a hobby that he truly loved.
Born in Meriden, Conn., June 22, 1961, he was the son of Lawrence Sr. and Frances (Montgomery) Theoret. He attended Northeastern Clinton Central School and at the time of his death was employed as a supervisor with Fournier Doors and Windows of Alburg.
Larry will be remembered for his enjoyment of hiking, camping and working with computers. He was an avid reader and had a special love for his two cats, Petoo and Squeakers. In earlier years, he had also been associated with Vermont Fasteners in Swanton, The Fonda Group of St. Albans and assisted in the operation of the Theoret family dairy farm.
He faithfully served his country in the United States Navy from 1979 to 1983 and was a member of the Sons of the American Legion, Creller-Landon Post 60 in Alburg.
In addition to his parents, Lawrence Sr. and Frances of Alburg, Larry leaves: his three children, Katie Burnes of Rouses Point, N.Y., Frances J. Theoret and her longtime friend Josh Harris of Grand Isle and Stacey Theoret of Alburg; one brother, Richard Theoret and his wife Crystal of Alburg; two sisters, Michelle Blair and her husband Richard of Isle La Motte and his sister and goddaughter Mary Theoret and her fiance Anthony Larose of Enosburg Falls; and one grandson, Kaleb Lawrence Burnes of Rouses Point. Also surviving are his nieces and nephews, Richard Theoret Jr., Andrew Theoret, Edward Blair, Jared Blair, Mitchell Blair Logan Blair and Chandler Theoret; his former wife Tracy (Mitchell) Theoret; as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Larry was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother Elaine O. Theoret on the morning of April 27 of this year. He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Edward and Frances Montgomery and his paternal grandfather, Alphonse Theoret.
The Liturgy of Christian Burial for both Larry and his grandmother Elaine O. Theoret will be celebrated Monday, May 3, 2004 at 11 a.m. from St. Amadeus Roman Catholic Church, Main Street, Alburg Village with Father Maurice U. Boucher, SSE as the celebrant and homilist. Interment with military honors will follow in St. Amadeus Cemetery. Friends may call at the Kidder Memorial Home 89 Grand Avenue, Swanton on Sunday, May 2, 2004 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

ELAINE O. THEORET
ALBURG -- Elaine O. Theoret, 94, a longtime Alburg resident, died early Tuesday morning, April 27, 2004, in the Northwestern Medical Center in St. Albans City.
Born in Verner, Ontario Canada, June 28, 1909, she was the daughter of the late Cyprien and Alma (Le'Cuyer) LeFebvre. She attended schools in Canada and on June 30, 1928, was married to Alphonse Jacques Theoret, who predeceased her on March 14, 1991.
Mrs. Theoret was a longtime parishioner of St. Amadeus Roman Catholic Church and a former member of the Ladies of St. Anne and the Island In the Sun Senior Citizens.
She leaves five sons, Lawrence Theoret Sr. and his wife Frances of Alburg, Gerald Theoret and his wife Victoria of Fairfax, Maurice Theoret and his wife Margaret of Alburg, Raymond Theoret and his wife Naomi of Essex Junction and Michael Theoret and his wife Judy of St. Albans; six daughters, Aline LaFountain of Higganham, Conn., Florence Fournier and her husband Alvin of West Swanton, Lorraine Labombard of Isle La Motte, Madeline Patnode of Alburg, Alma Patnode and her husband Winton of Isle La Motte and Louise Benjamin and her husband Roger of Alburg; a brother, Leo LeFebvre, and a sister, Annette Angrignon both of Ontario, Canada; 28 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.

JOSEPH W. "JOE" PELLETIER
ST. ALBANS -- Mr. Joseph W. "Joe" Pelletier, age 79, died peacefully Wednesday morning, April 28, 2004, at his home with his loving wife and family at his side. Joe was born in Stanford, Maine on Sept. 25, 1924, son of the late Josephat and Anne (O'Niel) Pelletier.
Joe served in the Canadian Army during World War II. Following his discharge he came to St. Albans to work for Wirthmore Feed. He later was employed by the Central Vermont Railway, Inc. and retired as a machine operator after serving 40 years. Joe was a communicant of Holy Angels Church and a member of the American Legion Post 1.
On Aug. 17, 1952 he married Agnes Benoit. Besides his wife of over 51 years, he is survived by their children and their spouses: Gloria and Brian Wood of Fairfield, Susan and Guy Palardy of Alburg, Alan and Lisa Pelletier of Thempleton, Mass., Joseph James and Krist Pelletier of Highgate Center; nine grandchildren, Renee Pelletier, Ryan Pelletier, Marc Palardy, Nicole Palardy, Danielle Palardy, Jared Palardy, Connor Pelletier, Sara Wood and Jeremy Wood; his brother, Lucien and his wife Simone Pelletier of Grand-Mere, Quebec, and his sister Rita Johnson of Halifax, Nova Scotia; several nieces and nephews, including his special niece and Goddaughter Diane Hilliker of St. Albans. He was predeceased by his parents; an infant grandson, Cameron Pelletier; by sister Annette Richard; and brothers Armand and Henry Pelletier.
His family would like to express very special thanks to the Franklin County Home Health Hospice for the wonderful care that Joseph received.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, May 1, at 2 p.m. in Holy Angels Church. Friends may call at the Brady & Levesque Funeral Home, 86 South Main St. from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday. Interment will be in the Pelletier family lot in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

KASSIDY JADE SEARS
SHELDON -- Kassidy Jade Sears, 5 months 3 weeks, passed away while peacefully sleeping with her mother on April 27, 2004.
Kassidy was born into this world on Nov. 3, 2003, to Ron Sears and Trina Allen. From the moment she was born, she brought endless smiles to those around her. On March 3, 2004, Kassidy was diagnosed with a terminal illness called Spinal Muscular Atrophy Type I. Although it was known by her family that her life would be shortened, Kassidy never stopped smiling and warming the hearts of all those who came in contact with her. She came home from Fletcher Allen Health Care on March 15, 2004, to enjoy the rest of her precious life in her house in Sheldon with her family.
For the next six weeks, Kassidy lived every day of her life to the fullest, enjoying wagon rides to the mailbox with her mom, creemees at Bubba's, playing with her balloons and her most favorite thing, playing in her bathtub. She spent everyday with her family, who loved their sweet little Kass, giving unconditional love and warming hearts with her smile. Although she has passed on from this life, her spirit will remain forever strong in the hearts of those she touched with her life.
Kassidy is survived by her parents, Ron Sears and Trina Allen of Sheldon; grandparents, Lyle and Sue Allen of Fairfield and Mary Sears Pilon of St. Albans; her great-grandmothers, Mae Manning of St. Albans and Shirley Densmore of St. Albans; and great-grandfather Alden Sears of Swanton; her paternal uncles, Chris Sears of Orange County, Calif. and Trevor Pilon of Swanton; her maternal aunts and uncles, Josh and Trish (Allen) Lanfear of Colchester and Jeremy and Kate (Allen) Dodds of Middlebury. She is also survived by many second cousins, great aunts and uncles and friends.
The family wishes to thank all those health care providers who helped make Kassidy's life more comfortable. The family also wishes to extend its sincere gratitude and appreciation to all those people and organizations who helped with financial contributions so that the family's financial burden would be lessened.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, April, 29, 2004, from 1 to 3 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at Brady and Levesque Funeral Home, 86 South Main Street, St. Albans. There will be a private funeral service for the family.
The family will hold a pot luck reception at the VFW in St. Albans on Friday, April 30, at 12 p.m. to gather and remember the sweet life of Kassidy.

PATRICIA BILODEAU
ST. ALBANS -- Patricia Bilodeau, age 68, died Tuesday morning, April 27, 2004, at her home with loving family around her, after a two year battle with cancer. She was born in St. Albans on Nov. 9, 1935, daughter of the late Roger and Rose (Ashline) Baker. She married Germain "Jim" Bilodeau on April 11, 1953.
She worked in many occupations, including cleaning and child care for Dr. Robinson, working at Blouin's IGA, IBM, as a bookkeeper in the family business of Bilodeau's Foundations, and most recently, as a guard at Wyeth Nutritional. She was a former member of the Women of the Moose Chapter 1090, singing with the Joyful Hearts Choir and the Grandmas and the Grandpas. Pat was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Her children will always cherish the many traditions that she instilled in their childhood, especially the music they woke to each morning. We all enjoyed listening to many hours of singing and playing piano and organ. There was always plenty of homemade candy at holidays, especially caramel popcorn balls.
She is survived by her husband Jim of 51 years; their four daughters, Roxanne Paquette and her special friend Francis Cross, Sharon Anweiler and her husband Rudy of St. Albans, Vickie Hutchins and special friend Stephen Larned of Sheldon, and Aleta Mattison and her husband Ellis of St. Albans; a son, Jamie Bilodeau and his wife Donna of Swanton; 10 grandchildren, Shayne and Patrick Paquette, Chara Perrochi, Tania Vincelette, Kalie and Jessie Bilodeau, Brittany Hutchins, Brett, Chris and Deana Mattison; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Valerie Marchant and her husband David, and Susan Masse and her husband Kenneth; one brother, Byron Baker and his friend Lori Fairbanks; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents; two brothers, Patrick and Wayne Baker; and a great-grandson, Jaden Michael Paquette.
Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in the Bilodeau family lot in Mount Calvary Cemetery.

ALTON MORRIS "AL" FISHER
NEWPORT -- Alton Morris "Al" Fisher, 61, of East Mountain Road, died suddenly at his home Monday evening, April 26, 2004.
Al was born May 20, 1942, the son of Carl Morris and Pauline Beatrice (John) Fisher in East Concord, Vt. He was raised and educated in St. Albans, Vt., graduating in 1960. Before his 19th birthday he enlisted in the Army National Guard serving from 1960-1963. It was during this time around 1963 that he moved to Newport and began working at AA Auto Parts, which later became Bond Auto Parts; he became manager and had 40 years of dedicated service to Bond Auto. He loved racing, hotrods and going to the antique car shows, traveling to Amherst, N.H. each month for the show. Al was an active member in the Loyal Order of the Moose, Forrester's Club and Junior Chamber of Congress for many years. Al loved to tinker around the house, and spend time with his family. Sunday drives were a specialty, and some ended up with a hamburger in Maine.
He leaves his wife of 18 years, Jennie Lee (Shampney) Fisher and six children: three sons, Todd Fisher and his wife Lisa of Delan, Fla., Terry Fisher and his wife Stephanie of St. Albans, Vt., and Brian Waters and his wife Tammy of New London; three daughters, Trisha Labossiere and her husband Steve of Goshen, Kelly Kiblin and her husband Tony of Newport, Anita Peters and her husband Gary of Newport; a sister, Marilyn Fairbanks and her husband Robert of St. Albans, Vt.; his brother-in-law and good friend, Ronnie Shampney of Newport; and 14 grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, and brother Wayne.
A Memorial Service will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 1, 2004, in the Croydon Flat Church, Croydon, N.H. Pastor Donna Leslie Officiating.
Friends may call on the family Friday, April 30, 2004, at the Newton-Bartlett Funeral Home, 42 Main Street, Newport, N.H. from 2 to 4 p.m. or from 7 to 9 p.m.
Donations may be made to a cancer foundation of one's choice.

ELIZABETH MAYVILLE NOYES
SOUTH HERO -- Elizabeth Mayville Noyes, 82, died Monday, April 26, 2004, at the Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington.
Betty was born on June 29, 1921, in Milton, the daughter of Frank and Marion (Adkins) Mayville.
She married Donald Noyes on July 8, 1961, and together lived in Ft. Huachuca, Ariz.; Plainville, Conn.; and eventually retired to South Hero in 1988. She was a past member of the United Church of Milton.
Betty is survived by her son William "Bill" Temple Sr. and his wife Diana of Plainville, Conn.; by her grandchildren, William Temple Jr., Robert Temple, and Shirley Waddell; six great-grandchildren; her brothers Ted Mayville and his wife Marjorie of South Burlington, and Allen Mayville and his wife Virginia of Chichester, N.H.; and by several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Donald in 1994, and her brother Arthur and his wife Iris Mayville.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, May 1, 2004, at 10 a.m. in the Minor Funeral Home in Milton.

ROBERT H. PATNAUDE, SR.
MILFORD, Conn. / ALBURG, Vt. -- Robert H. Patnaude, Sr., 73, entered into eternal peace Monday afternoon, April 26, 2004, after a long, courageous battle with cancer.
Robert (Pat or Bob) was born in Alburg, July 5, 1930, to Angelina and Homer Patnaude. He and his wife Barbara Soule Patnaude moved from Vermont to Milford, Conn. in 1950 and he has been a life long resident since.
Robert worked at American Chain and Cable in Shelton for 38 years and then at the Bundy Corporation in Milford. Robert was a very devoted husband to his wife of 54 years, caring for her during her Alzheimer's disease for the last 12 years.
He leaves behind his wife of 54 years, Barbara Soule Patnaude; four children, all of Milford: Diane P. Roy, Robin J. Patnaude, Robert H. Patnaude, Jr. and his wife Evelyn, and Alan J. Patnaude and his wife Cheryl; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Also a sister, Joan Polhamus of Miniola, Fla. and a brother, John Patnaude of Charlotte, Vt.; as well as several nieces and nephews.
A brother, Victor Patnadue of Alburg, Vt., predeceased him.
